I’m moving to Ireland in a little over a year and I’m so excited. It’s been my dream to go for years. Most of my family’s Irish on both sides and I’m so happy that I can finally do it.
I wouldn't call it the British Isles while in Ireland though, people may get a little agitated at the mere utterance of a title that seems to suggest British political dominion over both islands, in reality there are two separate geographic islands Great Britain which contains England,Scotland, Wales and Ireland containing The Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, the latter being a political entity part of the United Kingdom, which forms The United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland. This reminds me of back home. I heard this tune a good many times. I'm from Newfoundland and the Irish roots are strong there still.
