I misread how the Battle Plan “Heroic Leaning” card works. It actually provides an extra heroic to any support card that ALREADY has one, not to cards that don’t have one. Sorry about that, and thanks to Chris Hillery for catching that!
I know The Dice Tower did a Play thru but honestly I like the 1 camera view and then you do closes up on important cards. This is way easier to follow and you did a great job helping me understand how this works. It seems a lot better than the other solo mode. I love the equipment card. Your style is very similar to dale the casual gamer and I like that.

Great playthrough, and thanks for doing the legwork to extract and demonstrate the new solo mode. I hadn't even seen that part of the new Kickstarter, so I'm glad I'm subscribed here! Like you and the other commenter, I've got rather a large pile of United stuff still unplayed. This will really help get it to the table more. I reeeeally shouldn't be backing this one, but I missed the first KS and the FOMO is getting me. Plus I like the extra tweaks they're putting in, like the equipment cards; my first couple playthroughs left me feeling like the game was maybe just too simple, but a couple extra options make it feel a little more involving and adds variation.
I totally agree. Every little thing that adds a bit more complexity to the game I am absolutely here for. I like it for how it is but I definitely prefer my games on the heavier side so I’m grateful for the continued additions. The equipment is cool, and I’m BLOWN AWAY by the Team decks. Pretty cool that you posted this, because I just recently bought the base Marvel United game - and I love it! I'm a dedicated Marvel Champions guy as well, but this is just as fun, albeit in a different way. I think I shall back the new Kickstarter!

I’ve recently watched all your Marvel United vids to check how different this game is compared to Champions and man 😅i wish i was made of money cuz i REALLY wanna buy United now haha It’s much simpler and easy to setup than Champions, but still pretty fun - i just wish the figures weren’t one color, cuz they’re really cool collectibles to have in and of themselves. Maybe next Christmas I’ll get it 😅 until then I’m looking forward to watching more solo vids 😁

You can get a core really cheaply, which is nice, but it is the kind of game that makes you want to get a lot of it lol. I always meant to paint my figures when I originally bought into the game but then I ended up starting the channel and that now takes all my free time 😆 Yeah I’m gonna be doing a bunch more so in the meantime you can live vicariously! 😂

Heya - was just looking at the beta rulebook, and I think you might have misread the "Heroic Leaning" Battle Plan card. It's super-blurry, but I think it says "Any Supporting Hero card with *any* Heroic Action symbol gives one extra Heroic Action", not "Any Supporting Hero card with *no* Heroic Action symbol". That feels a little more reasonable, honestly - having it ensure that every Supporting Hero card has at least one Heroic Action is crazy powerful...

That's the main problem with this new solo mode and with the equipment cards: you have to think about more things in the game. It is more interesting but also less streamlined.
That’s a really good point. Definitely going to need to get in the habit of remembering that equipment is down there! I’m really enjoying the mode, but I think I’m going to be doing a mix of it and multi handed because it’s definitely fun to have everyone else in the action too!
With the Xavier Mode you have a single hand of 5 cards - your not managing multiple hands. And I personally really enjoy controlling a team of heroes. I feel that the way the Xavier Mode allows you to do that with one hand and one deck is really cool.
Nice! I always liked the sound of the Xavier Mode, but the only times I heard much about it unfortunately was when people would complain on BoardGameGeek that it didn’t work with some of the villains. So I never got around to trying it, but it does sound really fun!

@@h.a.i.d.e.r837 whichever hero’s card you play is who will be active that turn. You’ll use that mini to take the actions. And then to answer your previous question, if that mini ends its turn on a location with an end of turn effect you can then choose to use it
Mr fancy pants with the plastic tokens! Don't feel bad.. I have all expansions and stretch goals for united and x-men and have still only played the main united and and Spiderverse expansion multiple times. It really is just aesthetically pleasing to me, and it's the villains that really brings the theme together. The new solo rules look good, but I would miss the look and feel of more heroes on the board. Looking forward to more United content. Between this. Champions and Legendary, going to have to dedicate a whole room to them for storage! Do you play Legendary? It's the 3rd wheel now and hard for me to get to the table nowadays. Sorry for being long winded here, but take care my brother!

They’re really nice! But I’m glad I’m not the only one with boxes and boxes of unplayed content lol I know what you mean about the other hero’s. I don’t think I’ll play Commander exclusively as I do enjoy the standard rules as well but it’s fun to have 2 ways to play that are great! Legendary is a game I used to really like, and I still have it and a decent amount of content for it. My only issue with it is I really only like it at 3 players. I don’t think it scales particularly well as it gets too hard with more players and too easy with fewer. So 3 is perfect, but I don’t like playing it 3 handed solo so I haven’t played it in forever. I still think it’s a good game though 👍 Thanks as always for the encouragement and kind words brother!
I kinda felt like Legendary was "last year" after MC came out too, but I took part in an online Legendary tournament last fall and it really reminded me how great that game is. There's just soooo much content and they really found some cool ways to mix up the game flow. Two-handed solo is the sweet spot there IMHO - true solo feels weird since the Villain deck is like half Master Strikes and Scheme Twists so it's super swingy, but three-player just takes too long to get rolling. Two-handed is tough but fair.

Hello! When playing with the shield solo rules you can discard any card from your hand no matter who was damaged 🙂
What about end of turn effect if a single Hero is on a specific location?@@GetUpandGame
