Actually, if you look carefully inside, the lock is metal, the lock "handle" only is plastic, so no troubles should come from that, and it's the same for the Flex.
Hi Sir! I found a better result only adjusting the tools bolt with the wrench that comes with the tool, but, about the lock and unlock slide, I don't even detect any difference, I don't know if my tool comes failed, but I will talk with Roxon support to see what they say to me and let you know!
That's really interesting. I would contact Roxon because that seems like the lock is actually defective. Hopefully they can fix the issue for you. Thanks for commenting!
Thanks for highlighting the issue. Roxon should beef up their instructions on the safety lock. It's not a dealbreaker for me and I'll explain why. Some axis/crossbar lock knives are notoriously easy to shake open. Some of my button lock knives shake open. At least with the Flex Companion, there is a way to prevent it.

I appreciate the information! Thank you.
Thank you for the video and the feedback, we will definitely work on it! We appreciate your time and apologize for any inconvenience. ☺
Thanks for sharing the update, hopefully the company will listen to your suggestions. Take care, God bless you
Seems like they are open to it and hopefully the next gen will be even better! God bless you too!
Great video! Looking forward to getting one of these and comparing it to my SAKs
It's very a unique concept, one that I hope they will continue to evolve and perfect over time. Thanks for commenting!

Yes, I agree and glad that there is lock to begin with. It could be made a lot more evidently clear in the manual.
tighten the screw with Allen key they give you to set tool retention.
