It depends sometimes if the crack is a single crack coming from the edge and you can reach it with a drill to put a stop at the tip. Tim, I have to say "that's impressive ". Being in the autoglass replacement Industry for 30 years and an NGA Master Autoglass Technician, I can honestly say I've never seen that done before. Probably because the industry and most reputable busineses and insurance companies don't recommend such large repairs. You should let these guys know that the two substrates, glass and the Ultraviolet Cured Polymer Resin will separate, over a short period of time and the crack will reappear, leaving them with the same problem that they came to you with. Just because you can't see it now, doesn't mean that it's safe or even repaired. This is one of the reasons to replace as opposed to putting a "band-aid "on it.
@DanOfTheWild This is not what dentists use for fillings and what is used to repair small planned and uniform holes in teeth that will not be exposed for long periods of time should not be used to repair 21 inch cracks in glass. That is pretty amazing! I have an Alfa 164 with a crack at the base of the windscreen not even as large as this. Safelite said they couldn't do anything about it, but obviously in can be done. @Tim Evans, Where do you exactly tap using a needle to create a bull’s eye: past the Dremel drilled point and exactly opposite where the crack stops? I tend to think the little drilling at 2/16th of an inch in front of the crack end suffices to serve the purpose of stopping the crack from propagating, and rather fear the tapping would create multi-directional crack seeds (but apparently that’s not the case as you’ve successfully completed thousands of repairs that held up but I’m trying to understand why my theory isn’t valid). The drilling with the Dremel creates a tiny crater that catches and ends the crack from proceeding further. So, I’d like to learn of your comments on my theories.
Great Question Eaglethorn, Most shops only want to replace windshields. We do have people in CA,TX,CO,OK, and other places including international. We are a growing company however we do not have very good coverage as most of the shops are very slow to bring this technology on and just want to put in new windshields and it is a shame.
Sooo, basically, what you are saying, is that most shops can only repair cracks up to the length of a dollar bill, and I would have had to replace my windshield anyway. The nearest windshield repair shop, for me, was in Omaha, Nebraska.
Impressive! Very sorry, but in any case, we in Russia (where I live), such problems are solved with glass replacing. And replacement glass costs about $ 100. How much does a tool like You??
Yes cracks that are cracked on the inside pane of glass can be repaired, if you can reach the end of the crack to dill it and if you can get the Crack Eraser tool positioned to inject resin into the crack. Sometimes the dash is in the way and it is difficult to reach the crack to perform a repair.
Tom, You have not tested technology as we have, We see repairs that we have performed years ago and they are still holding fine. We provide a lifetime warranty and give money back on all repairs that fail over time. You have not done your research, People said the same about chip repair for years.
Dear Ian, Windshield Repair is free in the UK also. You will have a harder time finding someone to repair a crack over 6 inches unless they have my technology, but I took the following repair information off a major glass shop in the UK. Safelite® LONDON "Repairing a windshield is also a good value. If you have comprehensive coverage, and if you choose to repair your windshield rather than replace it, most insurance companies will waive your deductible, leaving no cost for you."
What size/ type of drillbit can you use for that? And what do you use to tap the bull’s-eye? Meaning if you don’t have specialized tools. Trying to fix my own windshield.
You can repair a crack if you can reach the tip to drill it. you need to load the injector by putting the resin in the bottom then installing the injector seal.
Good question Joe, We can repair a crack over 2 to 3 months old, However cracks over 3 months old will have some dirt in them and will show more. It really depends on where the crack is in the windshield we will repair cracks up to 6 months old in many cases.
If you have comprehensive insurance the repair is usually free because your insurance company pays for preventive repair by waiving your deductible, however you need to have the repair done within 3 months of the crack starting because of the dirt and contamination in the crack. With chip repair time does not matter but crack repairs are time sensitive. If the crack is under 3 months old the charge for a cash job is usually between $70.00 and $90.00
This can be a real cost saver, windshields can be very expensive to replace and if people have gone to $500 deductible to save money they will be coughing up the whole $500 for most cars. Unless you can find a small shop to do a used windshield. Years ago my insurance company offered me a deal. Back then windshield repair cost $50.00. If I paid the $50 in an attempt to save the windshield they would wave my deductible if the windshield cracked. Mine had a large multi pointed chip in it about the size of dime. The repair held for ten years. I can't comment on how well a large crack like this will hold up but I know that resins you apply with a dual compound mixture are VERY strong. I recommend you contact your insurance agent before you pay for a repair like this. Get them on board and they might make an offer like mine did.
Any state having oil tankers and other related traffic would be great for you, especially if your work holds up as well as seems to. I had replaced a windshield a few years ago, and in less than a month I had a piece of gravel hit the windshield.
From my experience, not many will repair long cracks, and if they do the damage will continue on from where the old crack used to be. These gents did a good job, very professional.
Hello Aaron, The acrylics will work if the crack has some dirt in it however the crack will just show more. If your crack is over 3 months old It will have dirt in it and you may want to replace it instead of repair.
Ok Thanks 8) Yes its been way over 3 months and I dont have the money to replace it at this time ! I didnt know if there was a way to clean it and then use the Epoxy kit and have it work fairly well ?
That is VERY good! I wish you were near me, I have two brand new cars both with long cracks. A major name repaired one while it was smaller but didn't do a good job stopping the crack. I know it is no guarantee, but I think the tech didn't chip it enough at the end of the existing crack.
And you just duped another. The windshield is broken and will NEVER be as strong as the original. Of course your deceptive sign advertising your business is smoke and mirrors also. Another sham by the insurance company to not pay for repair for the customers. I hope you don't cost someone their life when the air-bag deploys.
This shows the steps but doesn't explain where to get the materials or what the materials are... i.e would be nice to know what resin you used, and where to find the tools. LINKS Please.
Good question Goofy Goof it depends on the length of the crack when we first invented the technology we said 18 inches now we have improved on it to where we can do 24 inches or longer. If the crack is only a couple of weeks old we can perform the repair. If the crack is over a month or two old then it will have dirt in it and we usually would not do the repair. We prefer to repair cracks less than 3 months old after that we recommend replacement.
This is amazing stuff i mean the tools repair kit that you use I used to repair only rockchips i would love to get one of those into my hands awesome Job mister.
Hi iv129075, We do zoom in pretty tight and the crack does look good however the repair does not hide the crack totally you still see it direct on, But at an angle if looks pretty good like a hair from your head and your windshield viewing is at an angle most of the time so it works pretty well.
We are a training company and can train you to do this business in Brazil. We have an online training series with over 30 videos. Contact me at inventor1260@gmail.com for more information.
We do do longer crack such as one going all the way across the windshield, However it will have a larger gap when the crack goes off the edge on both sides. If the crack is over a week old or so I do not think a repair is the best option.
That is correct if you have a good UV source such as the sun you are fine with just the sun curing the resin, however in the evening as the sun is going down I like to use a lamp to make sure the resin cures properly.

Tim Evans how much would you charge to fix mine? It's about 30" long...don't want to turn it in to my insurance either.
I wish you was in Georgia
Derick Chilli- I am in Atlanta and I got a minor windshield crack on my Bimmer. Let me know if you can get it back to its original look.
I am impressed. Had a rock hit awhile ago & now a crack. Wish you were in Phoenix...I'd call you.
Excellent!
Any locations in San Diego, Ca
Best and most informative how to on youtube.
Bin Evs You can only repair laminated glass so it would not work on a phone screen.
And then an UFO appears at 07:55 in the upper left corner above the UV lamp
That's called a bird, LOL
Lol, Saucer shaped gull

Any state having oil tankers and other related traffic would be great for you, especially if your work holds up as well as seems to. I had replaced a windshield a few years ago, and in less than a month I had a piece of gravel hit the windshield.
2/16 of an inch
James Heslop
not to confuse with 1/8!
lol...
1/8
He meant 4/32's (or even 8/64ths)
Just collecting my jaw off the ground. I wonder when technology like this will hit northern Europe. Awesome stuff!
2/16 of an inch. I have never heard anyone refer to 1/8" as 2/16 of an inch.
Me Neither....lol
How about 4/32nds...lol
8/64ths...arrr arrr arrr
Should open one shop in NJ. With snow, horrible roads, etc. you will get most customers. ;) Cheers
2/16"......damn.... i went 1/8".... I am so stupid...
lmao, my thoughts exactly.
It's easy to make that mistake because the 2/16 mark is hidden behind the 1/8 mark on the ruler.
That's nothing. I went 4/32!!!!
amazing! didn't know this was even possible. had I known I wouldn't have replaced the whole windshield
Thank You!
From my experience, not many will repair long cracks, and if they do the damage will continue on from where the old crack used to be.
These gents did a good job, very professional.

Hello Aaron,
The acrylics will work if the crack has some dirt in it however the crack will just show more.
SafeLight Hates you. lol
That is VERY good! I wish you were near me, I have two brand new cars both with long cracks. A major name repaired one while it was smaller but didn't do a good job stopping the crack. I know it is no guarantee, but I think the tech didn't chip it enough at the end of the existing crack.
Thank you! You can go to our certified Partners page and see if someone is close to you. crackeraser.com/windshield-repair-specialists/
Will this work to fix the crack in my ass?
lmao
LMCOOMP !!! lOLOLOLOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLLLLL!!!!!
You guys are good! Interesting to see how a pro does it.
And you just duped another. The windshield is broken and will NEVER be as strong as the original. Of course your deceptive sign advertising your business is smoke and mirrors also. Another sham by the insurance company to not pay for repair for the customers. I hope you don't cost someone their life when the air-bag deploys.
you said what I was thinking about nice job! Life is worth more than a road side crack ripoff man.
In Korea the idiot that posted before you.
It would be good if you added a link to your website to the description box.
This shows the steps but doesn't explain where to get the materials or what the materials are... i.e would be nice to know what resin you used, and where to find the tools. LINKS Please.
Great video!
Can I drill a hole and stop the crack from spreading for now and then repair it in summer?
Thanks heaps mate , I got a crack in my 1995 ford falcon Futura windscreen ( australian ) .🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Your Welcome!
Incredible guys. Perfect. Professional and educational!
Thank You!
Excellent advertisement for MacDonalds
Thankful for this vi.. someone just tried to charge me 1000 dollars for a repair....🤦🤦🤦
Hi Susan,
At this time I do not have anyone in your area. I am sorry that most shops are still replacing these repairable windshields.
This thing still available in 2021?
About 2/16th. You need to be just ahead of the crack so when you tap the bulls-eye the tip of the crack connects to the bulls-eye and not past it,
Good question Goofy Goof it depends on the length of the crack when we first invented the technology we said 18 inches now we have improved on it to where we can do 24 inches or longer. If the crack is only a couple of weeks old we can perform the repair. If the crack is over a month or two old then it will have dirt in it and we usually would not do the repair. We prefer to repair cracks less than 3 months old after that we recommend replacement.
Can I know where you are? My windshield was cracked yesterday.
Thank you.
Fascinating job. You guys work well together.
I always were an apron when I perform repairs but if you are concerned have them use a fender protector.
I just had some idiot pop my windshield with an air gun.Two nice hits.Broke my heart. This video is awesome.
Thank You!
all windshield repair kits come with a training DVD and there's lots of training on UA-cam also or you can come to Colorado and train
This is amazing stuff i mean the tools repair kit that you use I used to repair only rockchips i would love to get one of those into my hands awesome Job mister.
Hi iv129075,
We do zoom in pretty tight and the crack does look good however the repair does not hide the crack totally you still see it direct on, But at an angle if looks pretty good like a hair from your head and your windshield viewing is at an angle most of the time so it works pretty well.
Hello JB,
Most shops only want to replace and it is too bad. I do not have anyone in Alabama at this time.
Hello James, No phone screens only laminated glass such as a windshield.
come to Brazil and will win the entire automobile market, which does not have this type of service, at the moment I need it! success !!
We are a training company and can train you to do this business in Brazil. We have an online training series with over 30 videos. Contact me at inventor1260@gmail.com for more information.
We do do longer crack such as one going all the way across the windshield, However it will have a larger gap when the crack goes off the edge on both sides. If the crack is over a week old or so I do not think a repair is the best option.
o
would it be wise to put clear tape over it until you can have it fixed to keep dirt out
You filled this crack with u v
That is correct if you have a good UV source such as the sun you are fine with just the sun curing the resin, however in the evening as the sun is going down I like to use a lamp to make sure the resin cures properly.
Amazing job, I wish my car was in the USA, you seem to always know what your doing!
