ok since you asked nicely i subbed lol. after 12 videos... in 1 day. all on this series...... i finally understand whats going on to an extent at least in the game when i watch it. i see u have a lets play going i got that bookmarked to watch once i finihs these tutorial series. i not sure i will like playing this game myself.. but its fun watching others play. should be more fun now that i have better understanding whats going on
On a recent playthrough, I got financially broke without ever leaving the station, my act of defiance was to try leaving the station without paying for the overdue bills and fees, for that I overrode the thrust limiter, activated the thrust cycle and set everything to max, I proceeded to accelerate at max while docked. There was a huge noise, followed by the prompt message that I was no longer in a pressurized room, everything got laggy and the game crashed AHAHAHH.
The nav console has a throttle you move up and down to change your thrust amount. G forces are now a thing, so having rcs on full can knock you out now.
Yep, I hadn't had to yet. But, I added thrusters last night, and now I get a flavor of "you're carrying too much weight and unable to move" anytime I adjust speed/course. :) That's at .83g. I'll need to work on that, I think.
That was probably the silliest way I died when learning. 47 y/o incredibly frail man saves his whole life for a ship, finally gets one, undocks, throttles and immediately faints from the gforce and hurtles into a copship within seconds
Would love to see you just play a regular game without so much of the tutorial stuff. I mean I've watched all 12 episodes (in one sitting) and will be watching the remaining 2 and they were all great, but I'd really enjoy a series of you just playing and maybe just telling us what you're doing instead of explaining why or how it all works. Just my thoughts and I'm really not criticizing because they have all been excellent. Just hoping for a lot more gameplay. btw, subbed and liked all of them :D
For the most part, yes. There could be some slight deviations, but .14 adds content, it didn't really change much. A few things, like the layout of the nav console, are slightly different, but functionally the same. Nothing jumps to mind as completely different.
i wondered why u focused on repairs so early compared to the other guy i was watching. i see now that 13.0 build allowed u that freedom. he is playing on the 14.0 patch. i was like u said at start. figured was just dif char build. i do know he was age 22-24 when he got his ship. he jumped in a lot quicker.
You complain about your ship being too slow, yet you have set your throttle to 20%. Push it up to 40 or 50 and it WILL go faster. You can lower it again during docking manouvres. When your ship grows more massive, you'll have to raise it further or add thrusters.

It took me a few game days to pay off my ship this time. In .13 it would take a few shifts.
