    From 202 to 223.5, 225 then 248.

Besides moving the damage into less critical areas, it also splits up the cost so you can do a minor repair if resources are tight. Based on what he said about the cost of repairs vs a new mech, I'm assuming that the ideal way to play involves just embracing the quirks and accumulated wear that the mechs take on through use, and hope they last through the week

All of his games take place in a shared universe bound by a literal chain of worlds, a lightless machine void run by an AI called Seraphim, and his logo is diagetic as the symbol of the empire responsible for this technology. Vangers, Hammerfight, and Highfleet are all a shared universe. It just boggles my mind.

@@amergingiles People need to stop repeating this myth/actual conspiracy theory ffs. Konstantin Koshutin and Andrey Kuzmin aren't the same people lol. KK, like pretty much every Russian developer ever, just got inspired to make video games after playing Vangers and Perimeter. KranK was hugely influential in the industry and he recently passed away in a car accident. KK acknowledged this on the official HighFleet Twitter. It's also highly debatable whether Hammerfight and HighFleet are in the same narrative universe. Neither have any direct links in their stories, and a lot of authors and not just video game ones, just have things sharing similar narrative designs or frameworks or even names between stories, because creativity is fickle.
KK even called HighFleet a "spiritual prequel" which implies it's merely borrowing narrative elements like the very word "Romani" and the jank physics-based tactical combat. It's clearly a separate continuity and until HighFleet gets a DLC or something (so, never, since I don't think KK really does expansion packs) explaining the story connections between it and Hammerfight, it's just a conspiracy invented by an actual crazy person on Reddit who doesn't know anything. Classic Reddit.

I'll definitely give it a go. I had an idea seeing that the portraits flash when firing, and there are text boxes, etc.. Would love to see this game get modded deep into the pixel art pilot portrait. But you could map a ton of emotes to different situations. Rage, determination, exhaustion, grimmace, exhillaration, etc.. Could even do buffs or debuffs depending on damage output/damage taken and it's relation to crew morale. Pick up loot. Laughter, joy, elation, + Buff. Kill an enemy type + pilot buff, etc.. Take injury, lose a pilot. Negative buff and emotes. I invision more flesh to the pilot veterency system, either gained or inherent. Bad form to already have a suggestion before playing, and it's better to nail mechanics and playability first over fun imagery.. I just know I've played many more hrs of games for how immersed I could get painting my own narratives in between the fabric of the base story world. Had a capital time watching as always ol' bean. Back in the day, roguelikes were split between "hacklikes" and "bandlikes." The former forced you to face increasing difficulty levels, while the latter let you take things at your own speed. They were equally challenging, but the pacing was up to you, not forced upon you.
From FTL onward , "roguelikes" seem to think that every turn should amp up the difficulty exponentially.
But seriously, why? Can't a game be fun when you can go at your own pace? Remember how Diablo 2 was great even if you could go back and explore old areas whenever you felt like it?

I figured it out mostly. Its teeth breaking hard, sadistic even - but when you win it feels smart.
I will maybe post a survival guide at steam.
Some tips, rockets are anti armor, use slow mod on guns, first mech is one of the best, put max armor on/turn the shields on, dont touch water before you got underwater ammunition, run two/three or even four missions every move, always produce components and leave some in storage dont use it all, better engines=more weight capacity, you can destroy walls with splash damage (second rocket launcher)/ if you retreat it will stay destroyed, always run from gold sword , hunt red swords, put max armor on/turn the shields on, attack city nodes (contains parts and humans), dont use energy weapons until you get atomic reactor, destroy labyrinths with atomics.

Oh shit, i didnt expect that. I've played a few dozen hours. Game's incredible. The current iteration is staggeringly well put together for how much nonsense is going on. Also diegetic UIs are the best. We need more of them.

This makes me hunger for an Tower Defence Mech Warrior FPS game omg. Imagine. Tyranids like aliens/bugs and mechs like the old MW games or MWO even, each round you place defences. Yeeeeesss as long as it does not look too blocky indie like, but like a spiritual nod to the Battletech universe.

I love the in game manual, i love it when devs do that. Im rather old school, (41) and was used to the physical manuals that came with games back in the day, i would read those before even touching the game. Nowdays, it's hard to find a good manual for complicated games i love to play. That are also in game.

I'm sorry for asking but can we please have the old titles back? The new titles may generate more clicks, thiugh i don't know if they actually do, but they don't actually tell you what the game is actually about and uses buzzwords like "unique game" instead, which youve used for perhaps 5 more games this month already, without me actually knowing what genre it is or what makes it unique
Sorry for the complaint, i just really like your channel for finding new games ove never heard of, looking at the title to decide whether it's in a genre I'm looking for, and the new titles make that almost impossible. Bless, and have a mixe day
