  • This is my build of the Moebius Models 1972 Ford F-250 Ranger XLT with Snow Plow. Long name on this one but it is a great kit. For me, there is noting better than a Tamiya model kit. This one is right up there though. High quality strong feeling plastic with very little flash. The fit is great. The details of the mold come through very clear. The instruction manual was very detailed and clear. It even had the 1972 Ford paint chips on the back with illustration of the 3 standard paint styles. I went with the TU-Tone Mallard Green and white with the rusty old truck look. I included a step by step talk through of how I made the rusty look while painting the snowplow which is why this one went long. Overall a great kit and I will be building more Moebius Model kits.

If that plow gets used a lot the bottom front of the blade would probably be silver bare metal. Also the little pads would be also bare. The driver would also put decent or newish lights on there if he was going on the highway much.

Good to know. Thank for the advice. 👍 I believe it. I work in an ice rink and the snow and ice does tear stuff up pretty quickly. I was going for the parked and forgotten look but I’ll keep in mind for the next one.
