Gentlemen, I bought a 2023 F350 nearly identical to the red truck. I use it primarily to tow a 40', 16k lb 5th wheel. I have no issues pulling through the mountains in Georgia and North Carolina. In fact we have driven some pretty scary mountain roads with ridiculous grades with no issue going up or down. I would love to have a diesel but don't need one and I've eliminated all of the emission issues and high cost of maintenance. Totally happy with my decision.
15 with a 4.30 rear end. Have just over 5k miles and the mileage is improving as it breaks in more. I have been monitoring it closely. Get 9mpg pulling 15k pretty consistently even in the mountains.
I’m happy you love your gasser but how much extra maintenance do you think a diesel has? Mine uses 13 quarts of oil vs 6 or 7 for the gasser and I have to change the fuel filters every 20k miles. I buy a Ford filter kit from Amazon for about $60 and replace them myself in 45 minutes. Outside of that and DEF every 3k miles please tell me about the extra maintenance that a diesel requires, maybe I’m missing something.
I have a 2020 XLT w 7.3. I now have 165,000 miles on it. It runs like a champ. I'm in the construction industry and I regularly tow 10k-16,000 lbs. A lot of people underestimate these trucks. I tow this weight at times up to over 100+miles. Ford knocked it out of the park with the 7.3 motor. I'm hoping to hit 300k miles.
@@demuntresmith6666 I have a Silverado now, seats are horrible. My Cousin has a F250 Gasser and the seat comfort is 10x better. Im thinking of switching when I go up to a 3/4 ton.
I have a 2023 F250 with the 7.3L gas. Use it to tow a 35' 5th wheel trailer. No problems towing. Love driving with the cruise control on. The 10 speed transmission does its job keep the speed consistent. The truck shifts down on hill decents to keep the speed under control. Don't need to use the brakes. Averaging about 8.8 mile per gallon when towing. Not as good as diesel, but gas is a lot cheaper. I think gas is a more cost effective solution (intial cost, fuel, and maintanence) if your trailer is within the capacity of the truck.
I bet if it were a chevy roman wouldnt be so rude when andre is explaining things. I love the way Andre goes into details about each and every vehicle. The price point on these trucks are outrageous and soon enough all manufacturers producing trucks will feel it.
When Roman speaks or really is even in video content on the channel I don’t watch. Same here. Just stopped the video and dropped in to read some comments.
I've towed our 9000lb GVWR 34' travel trailer nearly 25,000 miles with our '21 F-250 Lariat FX4 w/ the 7.3. I've towed it over the Rockies four times, including the Teton pass and the Ike Tunnel on I-70 in Colorado. The engine is a workhorse. I live in the southeast so I'm usually towing in a lot flatter territory, but I can tell you my truck has had zero problems getting up hills or even engine braking on downgrades. I usually climb grades at 3000rpm at the speed limit. I installed a Transfer-Flow 58-gallon replacement fuel tank which helps tremendously with range. For the curious, I average 9mpg towing the camper. By all accounts, the powerstroke gets about 12mpg towing the same camper. That's about 25% better fuel economy with the turbo diesel, but just checking average fuel prices on AAA, diesel is 23% more expensive on an average basis than gasoline, so fuel cost per mile is very, very close. The only thing that really sucks with this truck is the cruise control when towing -- it's too laggy and results in large downshifts when on rolling hills.
Modern diesels have lost every single advantage thanks to fuel prices and the EPA. Diesel is $1 more per gallon where I live so you will never offset those initial costs with slightly better fuel economy.
Going across the country, have you found it irritating pulling in a gas station with your trailer hooked up? That's one of the main reasons I keep going back to diesel. The truck lanes are very convenient.
@@oldnumber6 At times, yes, but almost never a problem. My wife scopes out the fuel stops on Google maps satellite view which helps. We will tend to favor Flying J's when available because they will often have RV islands. The more annoying issue is hitting the transaction limit and having to frequently do two transactions to fill up.
Yep, that's what I've found out as well. Wish the gas stations would realize that with the increased fuel costs, they need to increase the amount you can buy on one transaction!@@rver99
I have a ‘17 F250 XLT with the 6.2L gasser and it tows our 10k pound gooseneck horse trailer beautifully; never had a problem. I’d like to upgrade to the 7.3L, but the prices are crazy. My ‘17 F250 XLT with the dual panel moonroof cost $48k. It’s crazy to see that the almost identical truck is now over $70k!
That's why I bought mine used. 33k for a 17 powerstroke STX with 20k miles. Only thing I didn't get was 4x4 but I'll upgrade in a few years once this one is paid off to a used 4x4 for not very much whenever the truck market isn't so hot.
I also have a '17 F250 XLT with the 6.2L gasser with the 6 speed tranny I had purchased new in late'17 just before the '18s were coming out and it tows our 14k lb. 5th wheel quite nicely. Other than the death wobble (fixed) , I have never had an issue with the truck. I am a little anal about maintenance, so I change the oil/filter every 4k and the trans fluid/filter every 25k. I now have 78k miles on the truck. I have changed the brake pads at 50k with Akebono pads which have proven to be superior to the OEM pads. Outstanding braking with no brake fade when towing in the mountains and I need to be on/off the brakes more frequently. The only modifications I have done to it are: installed AirLift Air Bags, a Hellwig Big Wig Rear Sway Bar, a K&N Throttle Control Module and a K&N Replacement Air Filter. For a short time, I installed the K&N CAI but went back to the factory air box b/c my wife couldn't tolerate the loud intake noise it made when towing hard. I am researching which other CAI's will give me performance without the loud noise. (BTW, the K&N CAI is for sale if anyone is interested in it), I installed a PMF Dual Steering Stabilizer Kit with the Bilstein 5100, I swapped out the stock Rancho Shocks for Bilstein's (Bilstein never again - they are too stiff) and I added the OEM keyless starting system. Overall I am very pleased with this truck.
I agree completely. I bought a 2015 f250 xlt with a 6.2 for $38,600 before taxes, title tags etc....brand new! I'll just hold on to it and fix it as needed. I cannot afford or justify borrowing enough for the costs of the new trucks
A guy I'm in a baseball league with, is also a salesman,I thought maybe if I go through him I could get a decent deal 🤷♂️. Almost immediately he started trying to up-sale me talking about Trim Levels and different Pkgs. And As Soon as I told him I wanted the most basic work truck I COMPLETELY LOST ALL HIS ATTENTION. Dealerships And Salesman are the worst. In My Opinion They Play A Big Role In How High Prices Are
Just bought my first superduty 7.3 a few days ago…hooking it up to the trailer tomorrow to see how it does. Only pulling 9k but wanted the option for a 5th wheel later down the road. Can’t wait to see what it can do!
When I sold fords back in 2014 I thought it was outrageous that a king ranch f-350 dually topped out at $75,000. Here we are 9 years later and that’s the starting price of an f-250 platinum.
TFL needs to do a max Ike with the 6.8 super duty with 4.30 gears. For people who are looking for an even more affordable truck with heavy towing and payload capability. There's not any UA-cam videos anywhere with the 6.8 towing, just the initial reveal and test drive when it first came out. Let's see with the 4.30 gears how it stacks up against the 6.6 GM with the 3.73s. At least a 16k gooseneck trailer to keep it within the same weight test as previous testers
The only problem is, the 6.8 is only available in base XL trim. Most of those are sold as fleet trucks, only a tiny percentage of 6.8 trucks will be bought by individual consumers.
@257Tony true, but alot of people go with the STX package, which you can get with a 6.8 since it's based off an XL. With the super dutys also having the XL offroad option, it also gives buyers an option to get a base model truck with offroad capabilities that people may want without all the extra bells and whistles. And contractors might like to see what the 6.8/4.30 combination will do, because they might see they might not need the 7.3 and save money without that option
@@erikswensen425 I'm including contractors in my "fleet". You are right, that sounds like the way to go for most people, but we all know most people will just get the diesel like the one in the video, with no gooseneck setup or anything, and just tow a 4k lb side x side trailer with it lol
@@HSstudio.Ytchnnlthey run out of mountain after 8 mile of constant climbing. Where would they go after climbing the mountain? Flat towing isn’t a challenge once you get moving.
I forever can’t watch new Super Duty videos without being disappointed. My purchased new 2017 F250 Platinum has has issues since day 1. To the point where I can’t trust it for family road trips. Throw in the price increases over the years and the situation is simply nauseating.
Drove a U-Haul Econoline with that engine, it's haul @$$. It's built for longevity reliability and durability not for hotroding unless u swap it in a mustang, ranger, crown Victoria or single cab f150😮
@@freedomisntfree_44 no even close to 3500 rpms but I don't know what transmission it had and U-Haul trucks never equipped with cruise control for some damn reason especially when you driving long distance.
The upfit is Fords modifier for fleet or work trucks. They call it Ford upfitting. But they also have it for recreational upfitting as well. It's basically a way for them to add more things to the truck.
"Do you really need the diesel?" For reference, the 7.3 'Godzilla' puts out almost the same torque as the old 7.3 Powerstroke, and almost twice the horsepower.
@@kiplambel4052 no no I get that I was just saying it is up to the one buying the vehicle in the end I know the 7.3 is better then much older diesels before the 6.7
That tonneau cover appears to be a Retrax brand, which I've installed on my last couple trucks. My experience with them is that they are very durable and reliable.
Agreed. And to be specific, it's the Retrax Pro XR (with t-slots). I have the same cover on my F-250. I have a bike rack assembly that locks into towers I have mounted in the t-slots so we can carry all four bikes when towing our camper. When not towing or hauling our bikes, the entire assembly pops off and hangs on my garage wall on ladder hooks.
I've been looking at F150 vs F250. Ive come to the conclusion that the F250 XLT with the Sport appearance package is the better value. I really like the new SD and am looking at the 7.3L. Can't wait to see you test the 7.3L. The diesel upgrade isn't worth the $ if youre not consistently towing.
Well put. I am a super duty fan, currently have the 17 model with PS. The PS is well built, problem is the ridiculous amount of money you will have to spend on keeping the emissions equipment operating properly. And I don’t know anyone who has a PS who hasn’t had to make those repairs around 100k miles. 7.3 is well built and would be my choice if i was looking to buy a new superduty.
I believe that the super duty keeps their value better than the 150’s, but you’ll spend more on gas. I would recommend the super duty for its much greater capabilities if you’re towing or hauling. It’s better to have more capabilities than you need.
Honestly, half-tons are kind of pointless now. They've made mid-size trucks so beefy that they have like 80-90% of the capability of the average half-ton, but weigh less, cost less, and use less gas. Pretty much anything you can do with a half-ton, you can do with a mid-size, and if you're towing a decent size trailer that is technically inside the numbers for your half-ton, just get an HD at that point.
Letting you do carpet delete in their top of the line vehicle is great. Though you shouldn't be paying for it...if anything it should be cheaper than carpet.
My 21 platinum has the 360 cameras. It wasn't very old and the front cam took a rock on the freeway. Not a cheap fix. Also the gas trucks are probably great back east. You can't beat the diesel towing in the mountains out west.
Fun fact 50% of HD truck owners can’t really afford them. Just because you work hard doesn’t mean you should treat yourself to $75,000 in debt on a depreciating liability.
The UIS, or Upfit Integration System is centered around a new module behind the glove box. It has a large number of digital inputs and outputs, as well as PWM and CAN bus interfaces. It allows logic to be implemented to control these interfaces, as well as custom buttons through the Sync4 GUI. Just be aware that only authorized Ford body builder/vehicle modifiers have access to the software needed to implement it and those services will not be free.
The only way I would go with diesel is if the truck was used for daily and long distance or super heavy towing work. Gas is king for all else. Diesel is just too much of a premium for man card excuses. That Godzilla engine is used in class A motor homes that are Very heavy and it's one tough hombre and relatively cheap to own and maintain by comparison to pricey diesels that can have massive repair costs, especially the DEF exhaust system if it goes south...
The upfitter switches are for pre-wired switches that also run to a fuse panel under hood for easy wiring and not cutting holes in the firewall.... great for people in construction/farmers to run lights/pumps/ect.
Up fit package is an option for powering auxiliary accessories. You get higher capacity switches, auxiliary fuse panel, and other shit to drive the price up on your truck.
…and with greater functionality, pre-installed at the factory, and under warranty, for far less than it would cost in the aftermarket - FAR LESS EXPENSIVE.
I have a diesel Gladiator & absolutely Love the power, but if I'd had the option to buy a gas engine w/ similar power I would have gone that way. They have simply Ruined diesels with emissions & complexity.
My company has had a plethora of issues with the 7.3 Godzilla engine in our transport trucks. Our usual problems end up being some sort of failure in the heads.
reviews from others the 6.8 is 100% not worth it. Same gas mileage, less power and its barely any cheaper than the 7.3. Theres like no reason not to get the 7.3
@@mick2798 I have a 6.8L STX and I couldn't disagree more. First truck I drove was an XLT 7.3 which was actually cheaper (stripped XLT). Very, very little difference in perceived power between the 7.3L and 6.8L and the lighter duty 10R100 transmission operates much smoother. I got 360 cam, sport appearance package, FX4, exact same interior as the base XLT minus the power driver seat, LED headlights, and every option you can get with the STX. It's another $10k plus to get that stuff in the XLT and, like I said, I noticed almost no difference in power between the 7.3L and the 6.8L and the 6.8L is smoother and quieter.
Upfit integration package allows aftermarket components and accessories to be wired in and then programmed to be controlled by the factory touch screen, ideal for plows cranes and other heavily customized work trucks.
The first house I bought in 1997 in San Antonio, TX was $69,999. I swore I would never buy a vehicle over $50k. My 2021 Titan Pro-4X (all options except the sunroof and cooled seats) was $46k new when I bought it. The reverse camera is awesome (all of the cameras actually) but the reverse lights suck. I don't know if that's for the camera's sake or what but if you need to see anything outside of the camera view you can forget it. I am getting ready to put in some bumper mounted reverse lights to really light up the night in back of me to help out when reversing (especially with the multiple different kinds of trailers I am backing up).
When I was a kid in the Sixties, everything was dirt cheap. By your logic, I should quit eating, but I won't, as I employ a bit different logic. Crazy, isn't it?
Did the red truck have at least heated front seats and wheel for 70k? Would also like to see a sliding rear window in the xlt for that price. For a truck and what I do, I would actually prefer the vinyl floor.
I bought a 2023 XL with the 6.7 a couple weeks ago for 72,000 (total) here in Washington State. And I was blessed with being able to pay $5,200 in taxes to the state of Washington🤬🤬🤬
That's why I will never buy a truck brand new. To much money added to the price. Dealer and factory add ons, taxes, destination fees, them pushing you to get the extended warranty plan, interest if you get a loan, paying the state you live in to put a little sticker on the license plate every year, etc... I will only buy from private sellers.
@trevorhart5576 you're going to pay those taxes whether you buy new or used in the state of Washington. I've gotten to the place in my life where I was able to write a check out right for the total, but that was $8,000 less than I paid for my first house😂😂😂
@@ThomasLips That's too bad you have to pay taxes on used from private seller in Washington. When I bought me truck from a private seller down here in Arizona we went to the bank I didn't have to pay a dime more than what the seller and I agreed upon. Congratz on being able to buy your truck and not get a loan on it. I hope someday I will be able to do the same on a new truck.
Tremor with 7.3 is the way to go. Engine is lighter for off-road if you need it, and can still tow a considerable amount. Then throw in that 5star tuning supercharger for more fun still less than the diesel upgrade. Lariat is about all you need. Chrome is for old guys.
My 2024 Silverado 3500 LT Duramax was 73k. Has full 360 cameras, new upgraded interior, multi-flex tailgate, Z71, etc… So the Ford gas costs almost as much as my 3500 diesel.
The Super Duty recalls are a real problem. All mfg have recalls, but it is the quantity and how they are handled by the dealers that is important. I have lost significant use on my 2023 Super Duty because of the time of repair that has been extensive because of the lack of parts even though Ford says they are available. I think I will consider another brand because of the recalls while paying attention to the recall rate. Ford recalls are horribly mismanaged not to mention the quantity..
Makes me glad I bought a 22 F-250, there's been zero recalls on it. You never EVER want to buy a new model year, let someone else get the bugs worked out of them!
Sorry guys you are wrong the roll up bed cover had been around for about 30 years at least. It was called Roll N Lock you could buy one for about $1200 Canadian.
Dealers around Philadelphia still have a fair amount of 23 model year of the f250 on the lot, they better hope the 24 model year isn't fantastic. One dealership has a 22 f250 super cab diesel with a winch XL. 6k of of sticker.
Get what I got. XL Crew cab long bed 4x4 7.3 with 4.30 gears and 48 gallon gas tank. It’s got every available option on an XL, including remote start, up fitter switches, bed liner, nice screen, bed lights, tailgate man step, and countless other options. It’s got vinyl floors (a must) and vinyl seats that everyone thinks are leather. Sticker was $56,000 and I got over $6,5000 off with ford a plan, so $49,500 plus tax. I added a level kit, new front shocks, an upgraded track bar, 20” black wheels and 35x12.50 mud tires. Then I sold my stock wheels for $1200. It looks better than this red truck and would cost you $60,000. If you take good care of it you could sell it for $30,000 7 years later. Heavy duty trucks hold their value extra well. I don’t care about all these extra features I don’t need. Ford is charging people an extra $25,000 for leather, sunroof, led headlights, and other stuff I don’t care about.
@@erickisel8668 For sure! We don’t need all the fancy stuff. If you’re rich then get it, but too many regular guys are getting massaging seats on loaded trucks and their payment is $1300 a month. It’s crazy.
Engineering background this is the ONE for me. I am going to go with the XLT and add a few upgrades to it. I LOVE this truck man! Now I was told you get a combined 15 MPG 12 city 18 highway, when you are not towing. Is that true and if so that is AMAZING. Personally, I always like the look of the base truck over the platinum models.
I still don’t know why people love so much the complexities with so much technology on trucks making it more expensive and less reliable, it has more stuff than a freaking plane, missed the good old days where we used to have good and reliable trucks where people weren’t lazy and dumb, technology makes people useless and makes them loose their human abilities
I've had a rolling tonneau cover for at least 7 years. Looks to be the same as what's offered by Ford. I installed it myself but while it was pretty good overall, I was never able to fully keep water out. These aren't new, they're just newly offered directly from the manufacturer.
I bought the $80,000 2023 F-250, and I can say Ford Motor Co. has a lot of work ahead with the new dash software. The idea of making the vehicles safer by less distractions while operating, is irrelevant with these current models. I've experienced constant chimes and windows popping up while driving.
Honestly i watch all their videos, i love andre, but for some reason it really felt like boss was annoyed of andre, let him talk and let him drive, you just kept telling him to hurry, do this, do that. Little disrespectful.
I bought 2020 F250 Godzilla, at first I was very skeptical, poor gas mileage 8.9 then now I have reached 15.0 m/gal. T I was impressed by the 10 speed transmission and the pulling power it has, towed a 8000 pound travel trailer from Arizona to Oregon Coast with no problems, it pulled trough the mountains with ease. I’m sold. Would love to have Diesel but they have to many emissions problems and I was fed up with the ridicule’s high price repairs. I wish that ford would have a LXT with more upgraded passenger seat just like the drivers.
Man you guys need to see the prices in Canada. That Tremor F350 STARTS at $106 g’s. Plus our dollar is at 0.76 exchange rate at the moment. Do the math and yikes.
That bed cover may be Ford branded but it is in fact a RETRAX bed cover. I have one identical to that on my RAM 1500. It was about that same price. I think I paid right at $2100 for mine but it does come with a lifetime warranty. Oh and it is all aluminum.
There are indeed a lot of very wealthy people in America, and any trip to Home Depot will reveal plenty of these trucks in the parking lot. It is truly amazing. To buy either of these comfortably, you should have a household income approaching 200k. For the rest of us who need a truck with these capabilities and like higher end appointments, we are relegated to the used market, so my hope is that they can keep producing these units. Otherwise, even the used market will remain well of reach. I've had my eye on a 2020 Lariat F250, which sold new in the mid 70s, but used is in the mid 60s. Clearly, 15% depreciation in four years makes no sense, but it's caused by a total lack of availability of new models. With any luck, that will ease moving forward. One thing's for sure though, demand for these trucks won't let up any time soon.
I dont like to be the bearer of bad news but There are 3 Bad flaws with these engines being the gas version 1 - Lifter and cam de lamination { Look at Ford Boss Me } as his findings of this issue - seems to be a bad batch of lifters which are causing internal damage AGAIN! 2 - Slit in block between cylinders will cause head gasket failures { as this design came from earlier 4 and 6 cylinder engines and Ford has not learn from this failure before.
Ford does not suggest putting a plow on a tremor so that's the reason you can't get the plow prep package with the tremor but they have no problem letting the dealer add the $400 upfit package Because it's about profit The upfit package is only software so that's all profit
So the 6 auxiliary switches in the over head console, and the pre-wiring in the engine bay to connect to for the up fitter switches is only software? It’s pre-doing most of the work for those who will be adding powered “accessories”. Having done all sorts of wiring and switches without those, oddly enough that $400 is quite worth it
It is I have seen one post with 0-60 and ¼ mile times and they were very close. Plus I have a raptor now, but I need a bigger truck, and I want to know before I trade my truck in.
I like everything Ford performance Branded, its just cool when your bed cover says Ford, spray in bed liner too... I got a heads up display notice to clean my front camera, I did not know I had one and I cant find it, I clean my other every day and still in the morning its blurry, its just in a bad dirty spot in the tailgate Scantool software is really cool, and dont forget you have to buy the ODBII to usb too
With all those electronics in these new trucks, it's just more things that can go wrong and not work. And probably pricey to fix. If that dash/menu system goes out then there go all your features.
I currently have a diesel pusher motorhome with a big Cummins ISL. It makes less power and torque than this new F250. I plan on selling my motorhome, buying a toy hauler and getting an F350 or F450 to pull it. I'll be buying two generations old though. Still a 6.7, but much less torque.
It's insane that at this price point on an XLT, you still get a rubber steering wheel with no option for leather wrapped as in the F-150. These prices are insane period.
For between $800 to about $4000 you can supercharge the gasser and get 600hp and 650ish ft lbs of torque to around 850 hp and 875 to 880 ft lbs of torque and still have reasonable longevity bet lower mpg. You can go all out and spend around $10000 to boost the hp and torque to 1200 and 1065 but mpg will be 4 or 6 max and the engine will ware out fast.
I think trucks have come a long way but I remember my first F-250 XLT diesel with all the options in 2005 was $45k. Yes I make almost 4x from then but the increase is kinda crazy. I have a hard time justifying these prices for the high trim levels with the new options.
$45,000 in 2004 adjusted for inflation is approximately $73,5000 today. And, you’re getting way more truck Now that we’re on a level playing field, these trucks haven’t really gone up all that much 🤷🏼♂
@@bobuncle8704 except one i had the diesel upgrade (10k) and they had a gas so it’s really not a comparison. As well you should find much more efficiency than you have back then. Just because costs have gone up doesn’t mean you don’t find ways to be more efficient to offset the costs as well. Outsourcing all these parts to vendors instead of keeping it all internal would be a good way to lower costs. In my business world experience by doing as much internally we actually limit increases. In addition you can make more margin this way with offering a lower price because your not marking it up as much. Tesla who I’m not a huge fan of is doing this this their higher margin and ability to lower costs easier as well as Rivian.

As a software engineer, I couldn't think of anything I would hate more than swiping and scrolling my way through my vehicle. I have my custom order F-350 XL saved on the ford super duty site, waiting for the magical moment when Ford comes to their senses on MSRP, incentives, and financing (which will probably never happen). It's a base XL with NO extra appearance, convenience, or nanny packages. No cameras, no B&O, just the gas 6.8 with cloth seat upgrade, camper package and running boards. Because all of those cameras and "features" are more annoying to use than they are worth, until they break and become a useless distraction from the things that are actually important in a vehicle. To give you an example: As a truck camper owner, the cameras actually have some appeal. The truck camper forums and reddits are blowing up right now, because Ford designed the camera system so that when you unplug the tailgate camera to remove the tailgate for a truck camper, every camera on the truck stops working! No thanks, I'll continue using the cheapo aftermarket camera system that I have now, which has great quality, lets me see everything I need when the camper is loaded, and is easy to replace if it ever fails.

Don't forget to factor in DEF
@@AceEverett You know highway robbery is illegal right?
@@theingobeck4772 Well I don't know about robbery but it was a pretty good price. Last time I checked it's worth 13k more than I owe.

Prices are insane!!! Please someone make an affordable truck without the stupid tech. My god we just need a strong, reliable, basic truck!
Say it again! LOUDER!!!!!!
My 2018 Tundra is one of the best values around. Basic truck, reliable. Sure, it’s not got the payload of the F250+. But just what I needed.
I agree completely. I bought a 2015 f250 xlt with a 6.2 for $38,600 before taxes, title tags etc....brand new! I'll just hold on to it and fix it as needed. I cannot afford or justify borrowing enough for the costs of the new trucks

Almost immediately he started trying to up-sale me talking about Trim Levels and different Pkgs. And As Soon as I told him I wanted the most basic work truck I COMPLETELY LOST ALL HIS ATTENTION. Dealerships And Salesman are the worst. In My Opinion They Play A Big Role In How High Prices Are
Just simply buy an old truck problem solve. Guys like me that can afford trucks like this, it doesn’t hurt our wallet. 😊
The upfitter thing is switches used for additional accessories like caution lights, inverters, etc
I also demand a harder Ike gauntlet since 8 miles is no longer enough to push modern trucks to the max

"Do you really need the diesel?" For reference, the 7.3 'Godzilla' puts out almost the same torque as the old 7.3 Powerstroke, and almost twice the horsepower.

That tonneau cover appears to be a Retrax brand, which I've installed on my last couple trucks. My experience with them is that they are very durable and reliable.
Agreed. And to be specific, it's the Retrax Pro XR (with t-slots). I have the same cover on my F-250.
Agreed 100%
@SliderFury1 I wouldn't agree there. Mid size trucks shouldn't tow above 5K lbs just based on their weight. 1/2 tons, 10K lbs would be max IMHO.
Ford has offered that Roll Up Tonneau covers for over a decade. They are not copying EV manufacturers 😂
My '98 Ram had it too.
hi! where can I buy it please?
Letting you do carpet delete in their top of the line vehicle is great. Though you shouldn't be paying for it...if anything it should be cheaper than carpet.
Ford gives you a $50.00 credit if you do carpet delete.
Andre, we need a comparison of all HD trucks with gas engines.
My company has had a plethora of issues with the 7.3 Godzilla engine in our transport trucks. Our usual problems end up being some sort of failure in the heads.
Would love to see an XL 6.8 4wd versus 7.3 XLT 4wd comparison if it could ever happen
reviews from others the 6.8 is 100% not worth it.

When in the 50s?
I’ve worked for a major ambulance manufacturer for 22 years and our main QVM is Ford so I’m always excited to see the trucks come in
The first house I bought in 1997 in San Antonio, TX was $69,999.
It's not just a diesel, it's a turbo diesel. You turbo or SC the 7.3, it'll compete with the powerstroke just fine.

The Super Duty recalls are a real problem. All mfg have recalls, but it is the quantity and how they are handled by the dealers that is important. I have lost significant use on my 2023 Super Duty because of the time of repair that has been extensive because of the lack of parts even though Ford says they are available.
How protected is that tailgate camera??? Pile some lumber on it and lets see if it keeps working😮

I just want a truck that will last 10 years. Why does no manufacturer make a bare bones work truck anymore for under 30k
I dont like to be the bearer of bad news but There are 3 Bad flaws with these engines being the gas version
1 - Lifter and cam de lamination { Look at Ford Boss Me } as his findings of this issue - seems to be a bad batch of lifters which are causing internal damage AGAIN!
2 - Slit in block between cylinders will cause head gasket failures { as this design came from earlier 4 and 6 cylinder engines and Ford has not learn from this failure before.
Ford does not suggest putting a plow on a tremor so that's the reason you can't get the plow prep package with the tremor but they have no problem letting the dealer add the $400 upfit package
Because it's about profit
The upfit package is only software so that's all profit
So the 6 auxiliary switches in the over head console, and the pre-wiring in the engine bay to connect to for the up fitter switches is only software?
It’s pre-doing most of the work for those who will be adding powered “accessories”. Having done all sorts of wiring and switches without those, oddly enough that $400 is quite worth it
Ford, please please please put a manual transmission into these trucks! Even if it's a special order just please offer it as a option!
Anti theft device 😂😂😂
For the price these, they're practically giving these away. Thats a good deal in my honest opinion.
Would love to see the new SD Tremor matched up against your Raptor R!

It is I have seen one post with 0-60 and ¼ mile times and they were very close. Plus I have a raptor now, but I need a bigger truck, and I want to know before I trade my truck in.
With all the emmisions bs on the diesel it just makes sense to get the 7.3 and maybe detune it for better mpg while not towing.
Both are great trucks. Looking forward to more vids and maybe Mr. Trucks thoughts.
“Why doesn’t your $104,000 off-road truck have any scratches or dents?” 😂
I like everything Ford performance Branded, its just cool when your bed cover says Ford, spray in bed liner too...
I got a heads up display notice to clean my front camera, I did not know I had one and I cant find it, I clean my other every day and still in the morning its blurry, its just in a bad dirty spot in the tailgate
Scantool software is really cool, and dont forget you have to buy the ODBII to usb too
With all those electronics in these new trucks, it's just more things that can go wrong and not work. And probably pricey to fix. If that dash/menu system goes out then there go all your features.
Yes they are and they will fail
And, you’re getting way more truck
Now that we’re on a level playing field, these trucks haven’t really gone up all that much 🤷🏼♂
@@bobuncle8704 except one i had the diesel upgrade (10k) and they had a gas so it’s really not a comparison.
Andre should get his own channel… Only reason I watched these videos, although the Roman
interruptions are getting ridiculous…
The Tremor cost you the other kidney.😁
The new backup camera at night are great
I think the Ford HDs look amazing just wish they would have tried a little harder with the bed and bumper steps. Definitely diesel is the better option.
I agree with the cameras Roman. Cameras are too low of quality. Especially in the dark they're pretty useless.
The cameras are BIG money to replace when they break, and Thay will
@@Zzus321 Never had a camera break on my truck. My Ram was 9 years old when I sold it camera always worked. Also they could at least put the best cameras in higher priority views. Maybe offer a better camera upgrade for those who want it. Should at least get better cameras on the fancy trim levels.
@@JsGarage The F250's camera is built into the taillight. The whole unit has to be replaced $3k. Don't know about the ram
@@Zzus321 That’s not accurate at all. The camera assemblies can be replaced independently.
They’re also not in the taillight I’m assuming you meant tailgate.
Great viewing thanks
The 7.3L with the Godzilla is the way to go...
4:16 a tremor is only rated around 18k for towing not over 20k. Tremor package takes away around 5k off of towing per Fords towing guide PDF
Gooseneck towing is 20k
@@AK_Ray yeah. Conventional around 18k
