That's a 2 wheel drive truck. "Hi-boys", as the aftermarket refers to them, are all 4 wheel drive F-250's.

I have a 77 f250 highboy and you are correct also has a narrow frame and divorce transfer case and a 4 inch factory lift 1977 was the last year of the highboy but ford never officially called it a highboy not sure where the name came from

Looks like an F-150 with the coil springs up front and no brace across the front of the frame, the highboy also has the divorced transfer case, very clean indeed

Glad the original bench seat will be used! They are so cool in both the old cars and trucks.

Hockey pucks, I haven't heard of people using them for automotive use in over 30 years. Back then they were used for body lifts. one puck would give you an inch of body lift, some people would even stack then up, to get up to 3 inches or more lift to fit bigger tires. It was a much cheaper alternative than buying an actual body lift.

I had a 77 f250 from the forest service and man, what a stalwart that truck was. Factory highway with galvanized inners and rockers. I wish I still had it. Modified 4oo was a piece of shit. But the t45 new process and transfer cass and axles were indestructible. If only ford had put in a decent motor.

I guess you know by now highboys are 4wd trucks. I can see by the rear axle it is a 3/4 ton truck. You cannot convert this truck to a highboy standard as the highboys had narrowed frames, so it was standard to put the gas tank behind the seat. 2wd version of that year had regular size wider frames. You cannot put a 2wd gas tank into a true highboy frame. It is too wide. Nice video. Looks like a great company.

Old air products should be able to fix you up with R134 components for that truck.

The 400 and 351m are hard to finde parts . Finding a a gas tank. The 4x4 trucks had them in the cab. The rear cross member makes it difficult to put in the rear of truck.

Up in bc, hockey pucks were standard in body mounts. What could be better. Not just fords either. Jeeps chevys, your moms belvedere wagon.

Actually most dent sides are usually in decent shape. One really bad one's I've seen are from your neck of the woods. Cab corners etc. Are the norm.
