The cab and bed are uneven. Which makes it so much more realistic! How many times have we seen older trucks uneven in real life? Esp. work trucks. Even those 60s-80s Fords came off the line imperfect! Just my opinion. I love when an accident turns happy.
How many Fords have you owned? I've owned 12 between 68-97, several bought brand new and no... they were not misaligned from the factory. The dealerships would lose their damn minds if they were receiving tweaked trucks to sell. And this model was built with the idea in mind that it was purchased new only a few months before plow season, so it would not have been an old truck in 1972
Buddy, I drive a 2004 F150 that came slightly uneven from factory!!! I had to loose the screws on the bed and adjust it on a local shop lol... so yeah... 100% realistic
@@hpiguy loved it, reminds me a lot of the Ford my grandad used to drive to work... and this. video did it for me, gonna get the kit and make his truck! Thanks for all the effort you put in these
Its the perfect time/weather here in Wisconsin to do models. Thanks for another great video. Happy holidays to you and all the folks out there watching
Merry Christmas from Canada. Funny thing, my brother and I just got finished plowing the road, out at the lake, with a F-250 Highboy, 4 speed manual, 1973, two tone, blue and white. What a great build.
I think I'm F!Ng done with airbrush! I think I have single handling destroyed a Paasche Talon, an IwataEclips, and an Iwata Neo pistol! F it all! But a sincere belated Merry Christmas to all.
Yep, I think every town across America had one of these exact plow trucks, everything on it was crooked and the old boy behind the wheel wasn't scared of anything. 🤣 We could hear him coming half a mile away.
finally someone got the highboy frame right, i commented on facebook regarding wanting to see the axle/suspension setup, and Mobeus got it right, now if they would do the 73-79 f series that would be awesome
Moebius calls it a 1972, but it has a 1971 grille (count the rectangular openings and look on the internet). C'mon guys.... Thanks Chris for another entertaining build!
From about 17:40 to 20:50 minutes into this tune, I think of the old film “Prancer”. It was such a beautiful film, I loved it as a child. Greetings from Germany, enjoy watching your videos. It's nice to see what brands of kits are still available in the world. I didn't know AMT before and also like this one from the video.
I'm in the market for some of those hand drills. I've been using regular drills with tape on them. I can't seem to find decent ones anywhare. I had back surgery in November and the Dr suggested getting back into puzzles or my go to growing up modeling. No Brainerd here. I am really impressed with your channel. And ironically here in northern MI, I purchased this kit as a Christmas gift to myself lol. Haven't built it yet but plan to soon. You do an amazing job. I have really only been trying to buy trucks. From big rigs to pickups. Hard to find! Especially 4WD! So I come across this company. I had never heard of them. I'm very impressed with them! Now I'm not sure on shipping costs, but the prices are very close to Amazon. I hate Amazon 😒. So this will be my new go to I believe for buying my kits. I'm off work until may. And going crazy. But the reaching and fine motor skills of building these kits has really helped me. Thank you for the great videos you put out!
I hope someday you can show all your models.on witch you have built..im still temporary on hold on building any models.i hope you have a great Merry Christmas .
Santa gets a snow plow truck. And its a Ford F250 4x4 as well. Lucky Santa (this year). Merry Christmas, Chris and thanks for an entire YEAR of giving US the gift of modeling.
My daughter and I have watched many, and i do mean many of your videos. We have learned many techniques in all aspects of model building. The suppliers of your tools, glue, and models are taken as gospel. We have been building a lot of models lately due to catastrophic illness. Thank you for your videos! Would it be possible for you to show some of your glues you use and tips on building model trucks, i.e., 😂peterbilt kenworth for example. Thank you again from both of us.
Terrific build. It's amazing how modern parts go together so well. Would have emphasized the lovely wheel trim options by painting the wheels something darker. The only thing missing is a flashing orange dome light for the roof and a CB radio and antenna. A road-sanding module for the pickup bed would have made it perfect. Loved the Tamiya snow effects. Great job, Chris.
That looks great! I like how you weathered the plow and have snow in places. I wish my models looked this good when I was a teenager. lol. Thanks for sharing. You Rock!
Your a talented builder Chris. And the best part to hear for myself at the end of your videos is telling us to have fun and build it our way, as I'm not really good but I found a hobby that I really enjoy and love getting tips from you awesome videos. Keep it up Chris! Love your videos.
Growing up, my dad's friend Tom Fluharty used his personal pickup truck, identical to this model, to plow about 20 miles of roads in our then tiny town. He was a 'Nam vet, and he wasn't scared of anything except his wife. 🤣 Every town in this country had an old boy with this truck, plowing and puffing Winstons.
Great build as always. One point of interest.....the kit is marketed as a 72, but has a 71 grille. I remember way back in the day a friend of my Dad's drove a 71 4x4 in the same color of light beige as the kit was molded in.....funny, but he STILL has it, though it's way beyond being drivable now.....I wish I could share pics. Anyway ,I ought to build a tribute to go along with one I made of my Dad's 70 F-100 custom.
The cab and bed are uneven. Which makes it so much more realistic! How many times have we seen older trucks uneven in real life? Esp. work trucks. Even those 60s-80s Fords came off the line imperfect! Just my opinion. I love when an accident turns happy.
So did Bob Ross... So did Bob Ross. 😑 Happy little accidents.
Joking
My 68 short bed didn’t match up like that. It was a rusted beater and it just added to the affect.
I even don't want to see and model related things for now at least

That might be one of my favorite builds of yours yet.
Thanks, one of mine too.
@@hpiguy loved it, reminds me a lot of the Ford my grandad used to drive to work... and this. video did it for me, gonna get the kit and make his truck! Thanks for all the effort you put in these
I'm glad they got the 4wd stance correct on this one.
BTW, merry Christmas! I was watching your vid while I was eating Christmas dinner!
The 2 tone looks good.
It's hypnotizing watching you work haha great job
Holy shit you’re from Wisconsin! Same here. This time of the year is when I crank out one kit a week because there is nothing to do.
If it gets above zero long enough I can do some cross country skiing and snowshoeing and ice fishing but until then I'm trapped inside. Thanks!
Great build , Thank you for sharing. Hope you and your loved ones have a Great and Healthy Holidays Season ! Take care !
Darn it I want this kit now. Wasn't going to get one. Now I need one. Man I always do this ha ha.
I wish Moebius would make some of the older Chevy trucks .
Merry Christmas to you and your family Chris, & a Happy New Year as well.
merry Christmas
Great looking Ford
Merry Christmas Chris.
Merry Christmas Chris good looking truck brother you're still putting them out there I'm in a way but I'm still around hope you are well

I love this. Makes me want to give models another try. And also to work on my truck.
Just got one of these bad boys in the mail, I'm excited to start my build, I just have to say that your work is an inspiration sir
Have fun!
I think I'm F!Ng done with airbrush! I think I have single handling destroyed a Paasche Talon, an IwataEclips, and an Iwata Neo pistol! F it all! But a sincere belated Merry Christmas to all.
I bought one this week. I took it out of the box now I can't get it back in. Lots of parts. Cool kit, nice build. Thanks.
Looks awesome 👍
I like the truck. Please do more
I’m going to have to splurge and buy one of these kits!
Great job- I expect to see it pulling into the lot across the street any minute. Great snow effect.
Yep, I think every town across America had one of these exact plow trucks, everything on it was crooked and the old boy behind the wheel wasn't scared of anything. 🤣 We could hear him coming half a mile away.
Great build as usual
Merry Christmas Chris
A Very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year to you and your family, have a great 2023, bedt regards from a Kiwi living in Australia.
finally someone got the highboy frame right, i commented on facebook regarding wanting to see the axle/suspension setup, and Mobeus got it right, now if they would do the 73-79 f series that would be awesome
Perfect timing considering the
blizzards
Moebius calls it a 1972, but it has a 1971 grille (count the rectangular openings and look on the internet). C'mon guys.... Thanks Chris for another entertaining build!
great looking sir very cool build thank you
That is one interesting kit ! Would love to build one !
Merry Christmas for You and your family. Thanks for all the inspiration.
Love the snow effects , I will be looking for this one 👍🇨🇦
Very nice kit. I would say you did it justice. Well, as always !
That would look good with a load of firewood in the back along with some chainsaws, small gas cans, splitting mauls, splitting wedges and a log chain
Moebius goes the extra love them, especially the wheels so there is no way I would cover them with hubcraps, more realistic without

Very cool job Chris. I especially like the custom door logos. I really enjoyed the video.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM MICHIGAN !!!.
I like the misaligned cab and box, it 'fits' the image of a hard-working truck that plows snow.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Love your channel I’ve got to get this model being a ford guy
Great looking kit from Moebius and an awesome looking build 👍 The light weathering is perfect on this truck! Thanks for the look at this kit
Loving this style of video ❤
very nice job chris love the paint combo
Very nice!! I have a 75 F250 I'd love to build a scale model of.
That looks great! I like how you weathered the plow and have snow in places. I wish my models looked this good when I was a teenager. lol. Thanks for sharing. You Rock!

Another great video Chris, keep em coming I'll keep watching. Looks like a Meyers plow system but I'd need a better look.
I really enjoyed building mine
My techniques for creating the “vinyl” trim look is to paint the seats in flat and then rub the surfaces till I get the sheen I desire.
looks insanely accurate!
Amazing job bro
😀😀❤️❤️cool looking truck
Just recieved my kit from Wes's shop. Haven't built it yet! Nice build sir!
