Totally agree about Paton’s Kroy and the fabric it makes. It is more of a sport weight, and coicidentally I’m working on a pair of Rose City Rollers in the Kroy in the grey marl color. I’m using size 0 needles (64 stitches) because I wanted that dense fabric for cozy winter socks. I also want to make a sweater out of the grey marl…but probably on slightly bigger needles!
Always a pleasure to hang out with you two for two-three hours. It goes by so fast and I have laughs, learn about some new yarn dyers and get a lot of my own knitting done! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
I'm fighting the urge not to buy anymore yarn but it's very difficult! The To The Macks sale is calling my name and now I want to try the Holst Garn because of how much Tracie seems to like it.
Hobbii has all kinds of price points for mohair lace weight blends . Starting at 3.20 US per skein . I just purchased 10 skeins of mohair / silk under $7 Ys a skein .. no shipping . Beautiful skeins . ♥️
I am a spinner and that fiber looks great!! I have been spinning about 9 years! Love a lot of the patterns you both showed! Have to add on my list for sure! Love the poncho too!
Jody next year I am all over your To the Macks yarn. A bit of a budget year but today. I am blown away not that your yarn isn’t all beautiful but there were about 5 color ways you showed today I want to buy next year an a couple need to be a sweater 😃💜. Tracy YES on Paton’s Kroy. I make my boyfriend socks out of sport and he loves them and I love both fingering and sport for myself.
I also love the Single Malt sweater and am knitting it for my husband for Christmas. It is a gorgeous pattern, easy to memorize and beautiful to look at.
Thank you for saying that it is okay to use up the beautiful yarn we buy because we can always get more! I have several sock sets and I always think I don’t want to use them up!! Slap me upside the head!!
Thank you so much for mentioning the Kitn Collage KAL scholarship. I am so excited that I was one of the lucky selected ones. So excited to be joining in on an Express Yourself sweater!
Great episode! I laughed out loud a few times. I signed up for the monthly yarn club too and was caught off guard when it arrived vacuumed packed and had to look twice when you showed the fiber to make sure I did get yarn....and I did, too funny Tracey. I bought the shawl with the special pooling yarn, now to find the yarn so cool. Thanks for a great time....again!
I’m so excited I decided to join again and I’m really excited about my project. I did decide to do a goodnightday pattern with some of my yarn but I’m also going to do the poncho now that i figured out how i want to do the colors.
So excited. Just ordered the little kit with those cute little sheep stickers. I’m totally going to hold single with mohair. I’m going to make Jodi’s hat. If I have enough left maybe ill do shorties but would have to be super shorties because I don’t wear socks too much 🤣
Hi, I laughed outloud when you said you joined the breed of the month and received fleece. My friend is learning how to spin and she will show me how to do it. I lost my license due to a stroke last year and all I'm doing is knitting and watching you tube videos. I heard about you girls from cadyjax. Love watching you girls..you are both so real🤗❤
Tracie I hope you find a worthy person to receive your fiber mistake. I am currently spinning 2 pounds of fiber I dyed ( several different colors) and most of it will be a Holiday gift for my daughter who got me interested in spinning and knitting. I am so happy someone will be able to enjoy the Romney. That is so generous of you.
I really lookk forward to your podcast Ladies. I am in Canberra in Australia. I didn't know about the word Tuek. Thanks for the upgrade! Those garments are lovely Tracie; and I really like some of the colours that you have dyed Jodie. They are very delish!
Lovely episode. 05h00 AM impulse buy, I NEVER do that, I just loved the pattern Turn It To The Max by Joanne Bint wanted to knit it in Golden Plum, only found the Mohair in that color, well, why not ...
I watch your podcast with earphones in and when you guys make me laugh my husband would look over at me like “what is so funny?”. Now he doesn’t even bother, and I was laughing soooooo hard quite a few times today! I wish I knew how to spin, that fiber was gorgeous!!!!!
OHHH so exciting -- I'm doing Fiber Hustle Bingo on Saturday too!!! I did the Breed of the Month Club too -- and the shrink packed yarn was WHAT -- but I did get the yarn~ ;)
I legit used a cone of Holstgarn Tides for my plover cardigan, then used it stranded with Titicaca for my Love Note- and I still have a bunch left on the cone. Ordering from the Holstgarn site- shipping to the US takes no time at all.
This is Knit in Dublin has a custom yarn colour named Single Malt. Close to the pictured colourway. Love your Holst Garn colour choice as well. Hope he loves it!
Your favorite yarn shop in your area would know of local spinners. A good spinner would be confident and happy to spin the Romney for you for a fee or a swap. You have 4 oz or 100 grams approx. It would spin into 250 - 300 meters of DK, for example.
You ladies kept me busy while I unraveled the bottom hem of my Newspaper pullover by Joji in order to extend the brioche body. I did it perfectly! Now to do a couple more rows in order to have a sweater that I am happy with!
Traci!!! I remember when you posted in your Instagram stories about this online purchase from that company!! I wondered why you ordered roving LOL I too thought you were going to learn how to spin :) FYI I am in Edmonton and could lend you my wheel or a drop spindle to try!!!!
Absolutely love them! Really excited for you 😁 I’m always interested in the natural dyeing side of things but am lazy and have very little room. I look forward to seeing what you do. Ps thick/thin yarn is just called ‘art yarn’ and segways you nicely into the exciting world of weaving 😉😉😉 or use as cuffs on hat and glove projects. Enabler? Moi? 🙈🤣
Careful with the Holzt Garn. The dye bleeds A LOT which may affect your decision to do colour work. Did your swatch bleed? Wet coast yarn in Vancouver sells it
Went to a spa at Tremblant once. They sold me on some facial products but after they range in $500.00 I had to tell them to put them back. A little embarrassing but no face regime is worth that. 😊
“Life’s too short, light the candle” Thank you Jodi for that reminder. I too, keep candles because I don’t want to burn and use them and how silly is that?? 😖
You two darling sisters are hilarious, watching when I can. I am in my 70’s and love you guys.❤️
Both sweaters are STUNNING!!
Love Holst Garn yarns....I get it from the Yarnery in Saint Paul, MN.

Very generous ladies!
I'm fighting the urge not to buy anymore yarn but it's very difficult! The To The Macks sale is calling my name and now I want to try the Holst Garn because of how much Tracie seems to like it.

My husband brought me home some really fancy John Kelly chocolates so I’m super happy.
So excited. Just ordered the little kit with those cute little sheep stickers. I’m totally going to hold single with mohair. I’m going to make Jodi’s hat. If I have enough left maybe ill do shorties but would have to be super shorties because I don’t wear socks too much 🤣

A toque in Canada is a knitted hat. Warm hats for the winter. I’ve heard people calling them beanies in England.
@@LynneKnits thank you for the correct spelling, I could only guess at it! They are beanies here in OZ as well.
Imagine if the breed of the month club was a lamb chop delivery. What a funny story Tracie
Lovely episode. 05h00 AM impulse buy, I NEVER do that, I just loved the pattern Turn It To The Max by Joanne Bint wanted to knit it in Golden Plum, only found the Mohair in that color, well, why not ...
Hay Traci! I just laughed my way to the website and ordered my own. Late watching but that is the best story.

😂 you guys crack me up! I bet they would switch your monthly club to the yarn option instead of the fiber. They have both choices on their site lol! 🧶
You ladies kept me busy while I unraveled the bottom hem of my Newspaper pullover by Joji in order to extend the brioche body. I did it perfectly! Now to do a couple more rows in order to have a sweater that I am happy with!

I think I’m going to knit a hatvent in December now.
Jodi, Your sweater is beautiful and so fun.
Oh, Tracie, I am so looking forward to the hat pattern.
I just started spinning and the people who know recommend 15 min daily when you’re new so, can always use fiber.
You two are hilarious! Love you ladies!
Absolutely love them! Really excited for you 😁 I’m always interested in the natural dyeing side of things but am lazy and have very little room. I look forward to seeing what you do. Use the club of the month for Thrummed mitts
Beanie is a type of toque - it fits smaller & squinchier.
Went to a spa at Tremblant once. They sold me on some facial products but after they range in $500.00 I had to tell them to put them back. A little embarrassing but no face regime is worth that. 😊
Traci! I will totally spin this for you!!
I am LITERALLY dying! That fibre is beautiful and that is SO something I would do. What the actual F indeed!!!
Wonder if those hats would fit premie heads.I know hospitals love having handmade preemie hats in NICU.
What an awesome podcast! Always look forward to you ladies! Caught most of the live, and just finished the rest. Happy Halloween 🎃 👻
“Life’s too short, light the candle” Thank you Jodi for that reminder. I too, keep candles because I don’t want to burn and use them and how silly is that?? 😖

Jodi…my eyes popped out of my head when you pulled out the knit collage! It’s SO good!!
Just love you guys!! 🥰
They can be used as a gift card holder
Love the To The Macks burnt Amber yarn. Wondering if you could use this in fingering to do a “Love Note” or a Ranunculus? 😍😍😍😍
Your F@*kn’ RIGHT, Tracie!!🤣🤣❤️❤️
A musselburg hat in that fade would be amazing and reversible
