I loved listening to your delightful story about your young knitters. What a wonderful gift you are giving these children! Your Christmas sweaters are the best! I hope you will someday show us a photo of your family wearing them. I loved seeing everything you've made, and are in the process of making, and can't wait to see more! Thank you for sharing your joy and enthusiasm! Loved it all!
Thanks for the lovely video! I just have to say that you are such a joy to listen to! I love the story you told about teaching the kids to knit and casting on their projects for them on the bus! How precious!
I just discovered your channel and I really enjoy your content. I know that it’s two weeks since you released this episode but I just wanted to tell you that filcolana has a men’s version of the Christmas sweater called ‘Let it snow’ ❄️
@@dianaisaksen4057 oh my goodness, thank you so much for this! I’m not sure how I missed that they had a men’s version. You just saved me so much work, thank you so so so much! And thank you for watching! ☺️
@@ajborthwick7239 ah, we’re basically twins! What kind of projects do you guys do? We’re working on a worsted weight beanie by purl solo right now, but I’d love some other ideas if you have any.
@@fiber.and.floral lol that was my thought as I was watching you too! We are just getting up and going for this year but last year the boys and girls were all working on their own thing and I just helped as needed. I’ll have to talk to them about doing a knit along- that would be so fun!! Maybe we can even knit along with your group:)
Hi! Subscribed, I'm also new to knitting podcasting. I wanted to suggest a microphone! Your podcast editing looks really good, but the sound for me is a little quiet and sounds like there is a fan running? Looking forward to seeing what you make ;)
@@RestlessKnitting thank you so much for this recommendation. Proud to report I’ve taken your advice and have bought a mic. I think it will help a lot!
@@fiber.and.floralawesome! I tried to watch the recent spinning video and couldn't hear it well. I do enjoy following your new channel so I can't wait !
On your topic of ethics, i think its okay to try and replicate a pattern as long as your not claiming it as your own original idea. I think when you pay for a pattern you're paying mostly for the set of written instructions or chart and sizing etc. If it was a pattern of just a plain v-neck pullover you can't claim rights or individuality over anything other than pictures or the pattern? Either way I think as long as you're not copying and attempting to sell the pattern as your own I dont think theres a problem. You do what makes you comfortable though, this is just my passing thoughts! Lovely video though, thank you for taking the time to share your makes and thoughts with us
Thank you so much for your thoughts. I truly appreciate it!!! I think the issue of copying and selling patterns is a really helpful guideline to follow, and a very strong boundary line. I ultimately deceived to buy the pattern because 1) I do love stone knits and want to support her and 2) I felt like if I was copying the pattern exactly (rather than just taking inspiration) that was another boundary I personally wasn’t comfortable crossing. But I think it’s a such a grey area, and absolutely worthy of a bigger conversation. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and I’ll definitely keep them in mind going forward! Thank you so much for watching me ramble on! ❤
