I so appreciate your openess about your lives. A few episodes ago Traci was talking about her planter fascitis and it described exactly what my feet felt like! Today I saw the doctor and tolder her what was going on. She looked at my feet and said "you have planter fascitis.: Before Traci talked about it I had tried to ignore the pain assuming it had something to do with my chronic illness. Thanks Traci, I am on my way to getting some releif!
Your podcasts make me so happy. I am so excited when it's time for another one. It always feels like a visit with old friends. I laugh out loud and love how you always keep it real. Thank you!
Thanks, Jodi and Tracie, for spending Saturday evening visiting with me. I’m always so happy to see you have a new episode. I am eager to check out the great show notes you always provide. I love just being able to watch, and know that I can check yarn, patterns, et all later. 💛
Am I only one who comments out loud while watching the two of you? Thx for making us all laugh and being such a joy to the knitting community. Yes, to Zoom knit night!!
I am all caught up on current GGK lives and am going in reverse to see past episodes. It's so much fun to see the progression in the lives ! I always can expect good laughs!!!
Thank you so much for podcasting! I know that I'm not alone in not being able to travel/see family holidays. You guys make me feel less alone and give some good laughs.
Thank you Tracie for recommending Andrea Mowry's podcast. I just listened. She seems so genuine and honest; very down to earth. I loved her speaking voice. And, Jodi, you made me laugh....too perfect.
I just love you two! And what a happy surprise when I sat down yesterday morning to knit and found you two doing a live video. I watched part of it then and finished watching today. I've been watching you gals for about 4 years now and I never miss an episode.
Yarn explosion! My brain is just exploding with ideas and WANT! Thank you for the shout out for breast cancer awareness. Please tell everyone to get the 3D mammogram. It caught my breast cancer early. I'm 3.5 years cancer free. Thank you ladies for another great video.
You ladies always cheer me up! Love that hat! I crocheted my daughter a seed stitch blanket with a crab stitch border for Christmas. Both stitches were new to me, so I learned something new, and the blanket is HUGE! It’s about 52 by 62 inches!
OMG You have to have to have to watch Ted Lasso. It is so good you both will adore it it is so funny and has a good message as well. Good holiday watching. Highly recommended.
I have a small ott light that easily fits in the palm of my hand. I got it at my LYS. I take it to all yarn shows so that when I am inside I don't buy another skein of a pink I would never where when I thought it was a delightful lilac.
I found ya’ll the other day and have been enjoying your humor. I live. In Colorado and am going to knit all wool to not get so hot. ( Honestly I pretty much never wear a coat because you get used to the cold. Well and I’ve survived menopause and cold feels so much better.). You make me realize how we get stuck on certain colors. I keep finding myself with pink and teal and I don’t wear those colors. I wear dull gray, navy, black, etc. But I don’t want to buy yarn in those colors! We should have a challenge challenge. Make something in a color you love in yarn but don’t buy in clothing!
I love that Jodi is helping these poor baby kittens. I’m such a cat fanatic. Since I know it is impossible to rescue them all, may ask you can pay for her spay. It sounds like this family wants to do the right thing but finances are the issue. I would be willing to contribute.
I'm from Texas and we totally use bacon in our stuffing. It's amazing!!! My omas stuffing is the goat!!! Also, yeah, my MIL uses oysters in her stuffing 🤔😬
I love to watch you ladies.. You make my day!.. I'm living my yarn dreams vicariously through you.. ❤. One day I will own an advent calendar.. How fun would that be!!!
Love you girls! You are just so real! And talented knitters! Those colorwork sweaters....*gasp!*....so amazing! Love the oversize of Jodi's! Very flattering on her! The yarns and mohairs....to-die-for gorgeous! And the Suri alpaca and silk! Oh my! Thanks for sharing so much info, patterns, and yourselves. (((hugs)))
My husband and I are having a quiet Thanksgiving as our kids live far away. So, it's a day of knitting and watching your podcast, which I love! I never seem to catch you live, but I let an episode or two keep me company while I knit on three very intense projects--two of which I have been working on for months! I have gone back to your first episode, and I'm working my way through. I did make hats for Christmas and topped two of them with your gorgeous pom poms (in turquoise). You have also turned me on to many other makers I didn't know. I recently purchased an Awesome Grannie bag, which is perfect for a sweater I'm making. But, most of all, I love your energy and camaraderie. My sister and I are also close, so I know how special that bond is. I love hearing about your childhood memories. Thank you for all you do for so many! (My mom grew up in Newfoundland, so I could be a distant cousin!)
I’m sure someone has answered this but the Melanie Berg pattern is “ Drachenfels “. I knit it recently ( late to the party) but it is such a versatile pattern - the different yarns and color ways it’s been knit in are astonishing. Thanks for keeping me entertained while I’m knitting.
Thank you for the great episode! I an always looking for interesting Christmas decorations so I bought Susan B Anderson's Elf. I have a couple of little humans in my life who love my handknits!
Thanks for remembering us who is having a hard time, I am in the fourth round of quimiotherapy of my 16 years old son. Now I know I have in the past complain about such amount of stupid things :(
I couldn't join in real time and usually cannot but day after Thanksgiving, I am wearing stretchy pants and knitting and watching this podcast and finishing up a lunch of leftovers. I LOVE the whole set up at the start of this podcast, comments about stuffing (right on, no bad stuffing and especially the oyster comments by Jodi). Laugh out loud so many times and not even 10 minutes in. You all got me to join the Knit Collage KAL but am still knitting the Shawlography KAL, almost almost done. Happy Thanksgiving!
This year we weren’t sure what we were doing until nearly the last minute so we ordered a Turkey dinner for four From Whole Foods. I felt guilty for doing it but let me tell you everything was absolutely delicious. We had a small Turkey and absolutely everything that went with it for under $80. The turkey would have served more than six people I think realistically. The sides were very adequate for four to six. The dressing was pretty good not as good as mine but it was very much good enough. The amount of work that I would put into making a complete turkey dinner is ridiculous. It’s at least one whole day and a huge mess lots of pans lots of dishes! We made a few side dishes and had hors d’oeuvres before dinner. I made Danish red cabbage Which is something I can’t be without on the holidays. I made dressing/stuffing with some Italian sausage and chestnuts. Occasionally I would Dice Apple to toss in. Family is the best part of Thanksgiving.
My Step Mom makes a sausage, chestnut and focaccia stuffing that is so good you could cry. I am so glad you shared your experience with the Long Way Homestead subscription. I signed up while I was watching this episode! Also just started my obsession with Yellow Stone.
😮 That is AMAZING how much of a difference the mohair made to that colourway in your Parkview beanie Tracie! I thought for sure you used something other than the self-striping yarn in that middle section.
hi Girls , i am in Saskatchewan , spinning is one of the things i do , been doing undyed fibers that can be dyed or use as is . If you still need a spinner i am open to do spinning .
I love to watch your channel. My question is, I’m thinking about a tube knitting machine for socks. What machines do you two have and do you like it. Would you recommend getting one? I know you use yours quite a bit. I love hand knitted sock. So unsure 😐
Girls, I started this week with your first episodes (I’m at 9) but I had to watch this new one. And so happy to see that the Years did not change you. Still funny funny girls. Please be my happy cousins! I wish I had a good relationship with my sister but she’s more like a auntie, I haven’t talk to her ober 2years. So holiday are… just with are sons and there relations and with friends. Still I miss more family (both sides) but it is what it is. Both our parents passed away. And presents, I love to buy presents 🎁, for my youngest son I’m knitting a scarf (the pathway scarf from Toft) it’s a challenge, had to start over 3 times! But perseverance… hope it wil be done before 24 December because we do the presents on Christmas Eve. When the scarf is don I’m going to knit my first pair of socks 🧦. But seeing you hats, I would like to knit one (ore two) of these. Because of you two I bought some hand dyed yarn, I can pick it up tomorrow, can’t wait to see it. Oh, and because of you I’m doing a CAL for a amigurumi, never did a crocheting animal. I hope it will look like something. I’m stop writing, because I want to watch you two. Thank you for still making these fun, happy video’s.
Hi Grocery Girls! I never cease to marvel at the way you all describe colors when you talk about yarn and garments. It’s clear that you’re smart, creative women. I’d like to encourage you both to reach into your large vocabularies to find synonyms for the words “crazy” and “insane,” which pepper every podcast liberally. They are pejoratives, and their use hinders the destigmatization of mental illness. Peace.
Yup, I don't get the blurry. I get the movement of the camara. You Jody have to set up angle before anyone comes on. Come on lady, you can do that before we see you both. Good to see you both. And HAPPY HOLIDAYS! I should test myself with making stuffing. From scratch. I usually eat other peoples vege stuff'n. I don't eat dead flesh. I leave that for all the meat eaters of the earth. And ladies, vege stuff'n taste stupid delicious. Nah, I enjoy all kinds of shop'n but most of all for myself. Another kind of shop'n I enjoy alot, HOUSEPLANT SHOP'N. Nature is strictly BEAUTIFUL. I Only get the plants that I just got to have. Alright, on with the show. KNITTING!!
Oh my gosh, crying you’re so funny. You two are the highlight of my Sunday! I can HIGHLY recommend southern American stuffing. Dried and spiced bread crumbs with butter and sage, diced celery and onions, sautéed mushrooms and ta daaa cooked Jimmy Deans Sage sausage. Mix together with turkey or chicken stock with melted butter. Bake in the turkey or in a pan in the oven. Serve with Turkey gravy. Slap your momma good.
Yay can’t wait for park view hat! Love all the hats.
Terrific visit !!!! Thank you !!! xo xo
I am in love with the sweaters the two of you are wearing. Spectacular!
Thank you for another great podcast. You always brighten my mood with your stories and how much fun you two have together. 💙

Team Rip for sure!!!! He is the manliest, sweetest and dangerous. Love love love
Thanks, Jodi and Tracie, for spending Saturday evening visiting with me. I’m always so happy to see you have a new episode. I am eager to check out the great show notes you always provide. I love just being able to watch, and know that I can check yarn, patterns, et all later. 💛

Vertigo for first five minutes of camera roller coaster lol. Love you gals!

I love seeing all the things you make and all your crafts. I would do it all if I could. I just love project bags to put your crafts in.
Stuffing….sausage, bread, celery, onion, butter, a little chicken stock and sage….so awesome!
You ladies always cheer me up! Love that hat! I crocheted my daughter a seed stitch blanket with a crab stitch border for Christmas. Both stitches were new to me, so I learned something new, and the blanket is HUGE! It’s about 52 by 62 inches!
Hi. Did I miss the sweater pattern and designer? I need it! 🥰
I love a flocked tree!!
I love watching you guys. It feels like hanging out with my cousins; with family. This is probably what it’d be like to have big sisters 🥰
OMG You have to have to have to watch Ted Lasso. It is so good you both will adore it it is so funny and has a good message as well. Good holiday watching. Highly recommended.

Thank you for the extra long video! My husband has a rare long weekend, & he's spending it watching a car restoration show. For HOURS 😖
Jodi's on the mohair train, I think you two may have convinced me to try a mohair hat too.
Love you girls! You are just so real! And talented knitters! Those colorwork sweaters....*gasp!*....so amazing! Love the oversize of Jodi's! Very flattering on her! I am totally alone this Thanksgiving - I am glad to have you two as my crazy digital cousins!
I have 2 ribbers for my speedster, but found out I also prefer a folded hem for looks and comfort. Gorgeous hat!
Aww, thanks for sharing my fibres (I’m Curious Fox Fibres)! I am Edmonton-based! :)
Í love the cross-stitch pattern that Tracy showed last time. I went straight to the web-shop and got the pattern and am know on my third pattern.
Thank you for the great episode! I an always looking for interesting Christmas decorations so I bought Susan B Anderson's Elf. I have a couple of little humans in my life who love my handknits!

Whats a good tool for pilled wool?
Jodi, “my” stuffing is taking the basic stuffing recipe & adding toasted pecans, sausage, & dried cherries (from Traverse City). So yummy!
Ladies . Do go down the spinning route it's crazy I ended up with several spinning wheels fleece Oh No can't move. Jen from Wales.
Another fun show🌻🌻. What is the pattern that Jodi used for the self striping and mohair hats please? What a fun friggin tastic idea💙💙
Happy Thanksgiving!!!!
