When I went the other day our Walmart was finally getting everything back in stock. I was surprised compared to the time before that when I went and almost nothing was in stock. The stir fry kit looked good. Our grocery budget is definitely out of wack too!
I am so glad that you brought up the kids in the neighborhood dilemma. We are having the same problem and it is so hard to explain to kids Jackson's/ my son's age that it just isn't a good idea right now. So sad... 😞 I can't wait until this is over for so many reasons!

Mmmm frozen ravioli I boil them and then and then saute them little butter and garlic! After seeing your package of meatballs I am now craving swedish meatballs over or pasta just a can of cream of mushroom soup with a little bit of milk added and half a cup of sour cream at the end when you're stirring it all together. Everything looks yummy..... I haven't had grocery shopping in about 3 weeks....
I've had to make meals on the fly in store at the beginning, becuz something was missing and no substitutes in site. For a month or more we had to shop in store, our pickup was way wild! So we shopped bi weekly but shopping in store felt so scarey!!! Am way behind watching but still here and love yall❤❤❤
It's crazy how people are still struggling to find things because the ones near me calmed down after like 2 weeks and have been fine since. I can't imagine that anxiety continuing
We are going to a butcher for meat, about 20 minutes away. There is no meat in any of our grocery stores. The butcher shop is more expensive, but we don't have a choice. My grocery budget is shot! On the flip side, the meat is excellent tasting lol.

Have been going to 3 different stores trying to find the essentials the last few weeks. :0( I've had best luck with fresh produce and frozen items at Meijer and able to get random other items in store at Walmart and Aldi. We just got small chest freezer set up a week ago and thankfully able to stock that and avoid having to go IN stores now. 👍
I'm not going near the stores. I'm in Charlotte NC and our curve isn't going to peak until 4/23 the health department is estimating. I'm immunocompromised with an underlying heart condition so as a family we're self quarantining until at least the end of May. So we're reliant completely on grocery pickup or delivery. Even though instacart is more expensive than Walmart grocery pickup (everything is more expensive now because we're buying what they have which is naturally going to be the most expensive version) at least we can communicate in real time with our shoppers to authorize weird substitutions if needed. Like, if we can't find eggs for the third week in a row this week, I'm asking for mayonnaise and flax meal because I need recipe workarounds.
They are truly keep us busy. I picked up a load of fresh produce in Michigan day before yesterday all of the that load but 350 pices I drop in KY yesterday the rest I had to take to TN. Now have to pick up a load in MO of meat and bring it back to KY. The Kroger wearhouse I drop at this morning as I was waiting to get unloaded there was a truck beside me they rejected his whole loads. The company I pull for said that the had a load of fresh produce get rejected this morning.
For the past two months we have been doing our weekly grocery shopping at Aldi to get our insane grocery budget under control. Since all this started they have done extremely well at keeping also everything stocked. There was only one time that we went that they were out of whole chickens (we precook and shredd one a week for meal prep) but they had all their other kinds of meat. No limits on the meats either. They just recently put limits on water, milk, and certain canned goods. Thats it. We have been very impressed with them.

They did have a little side end cap with pepperoni and smoked sausage not in fridge or freezer section. Also running short on milk creamer and the juice they have right there in fridgerated milk section . They also had tp a couple pallets full and didn't see paper towels or tissues , no antibacterial soap hand sanitizer alcohol or any disinfectants.limit 1 milk and tp.Good thing your children eat alot of veggies! Wow. In Canada our grocery stores are really great. No meat on display but tons in the chillers. No issues right now. Thank goodness. stay virus free. Like your channel. You do honest grocery shopping and I like that alot!
Have you checked freezer area for meat. Fresh stuff is gone alot but our Walmart freezer section has had meatballs, fish, burgers, chicken and beef strips, some salsbury Patty's in gravy. Our local chain has been good about limiting items and staying strict but Ive stopped meal planning and coupons were cancelled so we've paying more on top of buying name brands just to get something.

I have heard you say you get your groceries delivered via door dash - here in Canada all they deliver is from fast food restaurants. Instacart is what I usually use. I don’t have a car and it was incredibly convenient to pay $9.99/month for unlimited deliveries from Walmart, I’d typically get my deliveries within two hours. Now? It’s over a week wait!! For instacart!!! I have strep throat, I’m on antibiotics. I can’t leave. Single mom. Two kids. And our school is cancelled until at least September... and groceries are iffy. We live in a townhouse complex as well... and most of the kids here are not following social distancing protocols - I won’t let my two girls out - so of course they think I am horrible and mean... this is rough

Just The 2 Of Us -hey there just wanted to help-you can use pork or chicken-it’s good with both -just cut your meat in strips to go further now-just use egg noodles if you can’t find any other pasta-the straighter the noodle -like linguine or spaghetti-take care -love from Kelly ♥️
I just did the bag of Pad Thai veggies in a frying pan with a bit of water to help "steam" them. Added my extra veggies in there, too. Once they cooked down a bit (5 min or so) I added the pad thai sauce that came in the kit and some soy sauce. Meanwhile I had the brown rice noodles cooking in a separate pot and when it was all done, just combined it together! I didn't even put meat in it.

We live in Missouri and the walmart where I live rarely has meat. If I am lucky enough to get meat in my cart, it's usually out of stock by the time I get to place my orde,r because there's no time slots for pickup. GRRRR 😡
Better Safe Than Sorry tip I heard: wait till midnight and you can get a slot it might be for a few days out depending on how busy everything is I know one person did and stayed up around Tuesday and got one around Thursday

try local butchers for meat. we have a store that has butcher on hand. luckily they make you stand in line with a deli number so people cant just grab. its so crazy now. glad you all are doing good

my son takes 12.5 melatonin but i cant do gummy he thinks they are candy and wants more lol i have to cursh tablets and hide in yogurt. we have been getting up at 2/230 UGH UGH UGH

Just in general? I cut and wash the lettuce in cold water with a bit of white vinegar in. Helps to wash. I do it in my Oxo Salad Spinner, so I can drain the dirty water, rinse and then spin the excess off before storage.

We live in Missouri and the walmart where I live rarely has meat. If I am lucky enough to get meat in my cart, it's usually out of stock by the time I get to place my orde,r because there's no time slots for pickup. GRRRR 😡
Better Safe Than Sorry tip I heard: wait till midnight and you can get a slot it might be for a few days out depending on how busy everything is I know one person did and stayed up around Tuesday and got one around Thursday

I know. I have been doing Walmart grocery pickup and had that same issue with meat. I was able to get frozen chicken thighs last week but it was at the beginning of the week
try local butchers for meat. we have a store that has butcher on hand. luckily they make you stand in line with a deli number so people cant just grab. its so crazy now. glad you all are doing good
Our daughter is very intelligent but double-deficit dyslexic, and as a result, her brain stays on auto drive. She has been taking melatonin for several years now. Otherwise, she would never sleep!

my son takes 12.5 melatonin but i cant do gummy he thinks they are candy and wants more lol i have to cursh tablets and hide in yogurt. we have been getting up at 2/230 UGH UGH UGH

I wonder how safe to eat lettuce raw. I'm not sure how to "disinfect" them.
I've read you can't get the virus thru food so should be ok.
Just in general? I cut and wash the lettuce in cold water with a bit of white vinegar in. Helps to wash. I do it in my Oxo Salad Spinner, so I can drain the dirty water, rinse and then spin the excess off before storage.
