Took a 15 minute session today and knocked out Box Mountain in my basement! Felt so good to finally clear out all those "just in case I have to return it" boxes. We can walk around down there again. Woohoo!

I love how you can take something going on in your life and come up with an amazing analogy like that!

My Mom used to say, "Ahuh. I KNOW you don't FEEL like doing it. But you still have to do it". I find that the 5 minutes often turns into 5 or 10 more minutes of motivation.

Such a great apology of clutter! I would get to cutting them up and freezing them right away friend!

You still could have kept them. Just cut off the top, put them in a pot with a little bit of sugar then mash them. Then you can fresh the slush and put it over your ice cream or yogurt or cake.

It was hard to see on the camera but they were beyond that point. We do love some good mashed strawberries though. 💕

I'm chronically ill,I've found decluttering is freeing (literally space and mind)...its better than having to continuously manage the stuff.

I have found decluttering to be really rewarding. I have Parkinson’s and in November I got really sick. I had acute sepsis and appendicitis. I spent three days in the hospital, I went home and ended up back in the hospital with a bad wound infection. I spent nine days this time. I was weak as a kitten when I got home. Slowly I got a little stronger. I don’t know what motivated me, but a few weeks after I got home I started decluttering. I still have a lot to do, but I am getting my strength back and my projects have really made me feel good. I do one project a day and I feel like God is right there, helping me.

I feel for you, being ill with sepsis, friend. Two years ago my husband got strep pneumonia which led to sepsis. 6 days in ICU (almost died of heart failure). Went to a reg. room, the 2 days later had emergency VAT procedure for chest infection. 5 days later he came home, then went back for knee surgery to remove infection from an old knee prosthesis. He came home on I.V. meds (covid was rampant in the rehab clinics then) for 9 weeks. It was a loooong road, poor guy. Last year he had radiation (44 sessions) for prostate cancer. It is so hard when you are dealing with health issues. I'm sorry you have to endure that. Please know that I always send out a special prayer every night, to God/the universe for people who are dealing with health issues. I know how frightening and lonely it can be.
You just do what you can when you can.
I will keep you in my prayers.

@@Carolmaizy I hope your husband won’t have anymore health problems. He has been through the ringer. Praying for him and you. Thank you for the prayers. They definitely work

I loved( the clutter) "it's not overruling my desire to not do anything", lol. So true. Especially when the clutter is hidden behind doors and in drawers. We procrastinate cleaning it out, but it sits at the back of our minds, subtly taunting us.

Hi 🙂 ! I'm watching & enjoying your video. I hope that your statement of "Throwing Away" Strawberries that weren't, "Per Se" up to par; were NOT thrown in the Garbage/Trash 😱😱😱. All good things that come from our Precious Earth (ie: remnants of, should be returned to same). TYFS!!👍👍.

Exactly! Action will bring on motivation and then coupled with a “reward “ we will get there!

Nice to have you back Mary Beth. One of our elders at Church and his wife shared on Sunday that after a 10 year journey to parenthood they have adopted 3 siblings aged 4, 3 & 1 and are receiving them into their hearts and hone this week! I just thought of you and how inspiring you are. Will be directing them to your channel!
Keep up the good fight! X

I have adopted the do it now principal. So I do not need to deal with the same issue of decluttering them again.

Whoa! “A Decision to Take ACTION” !!! Now that is life changing! Motivation often feels like a joke… a decision to take action is exactly the mindset shift that’s the key! Love it!!! Thank you!!!

I just realized how I used to pray for help that I wanted some miraculous motivation to carry me through all the tasks I had to do. I still struggle with waiting for the spirit to move me, especially after I've worked up to a "cruising altitude." The next day, I want to start at that altitude, like flying without taxiing down the runway.

What a great illustration!! You are right. Mentally when I look around I think I “need” everything in my house. But when I look closer I realize some things aren’t serving any purpose and we don’t need it. ❤

Let’s have a Partay! I’m really busy in March on the weekends until the end but now that we know we’ve got a gaggle of Minimalists in the area we could put a Spring Cleaning event on the calendar. My kiddos are older and I have more time on my hands I wouldn’t mind coming to help one weekend in April. It’s more fun together.
