- Today the 1957 Chevy "Black Widow" is in the shop. This is one of my absolute favorite cars but it's time to sell sell sell. Before it goes down the road I wanted to fix up a few thing on the car. A little spit shine goes a long way.

A big shoutout to Matthew Curtis for sending Dan some awesome car parts!!!
A true friend to the channel, well done.
Dan, hope you enjoy the T Shirt, It is my car of 45 years, my father purchased new in 76, i did everything but the paint, it is driven, no trailer or Truck here, it was my way of thanking you and Dannie for your UA-cam channel and making the past couple years a lot better,
Nicely done.
The love of old cars is like a addict, you never have just enough.
Leave your name on it makes it worth more😊
Black 57 looks so much better with the front bumper 👌
Curtis puts, (if it fits it ships) on a whole nother level. Impressive packaging, Curtis. 😊
Leave the Fuel Injected 366CI on the vehicle it looks cool..
I’d leave the lettering on the car let the new owner decide weather they want to keep it and make it their own.
Hope you leave the Cold War Motor decal on.
Dan, great job! Sell and save others! With your talent, you can save unlimited classics from the crusher.. great job!
I ended up buying the home depot husky 300 plus tool kit and I truly can't believe how I still have every piece of it and haven't broken a single tool. It's in a really nice case and I take it everywhere. I bought both my sons one.
This is probably too late but the decals and white wheels make the car. If I bought a DD Speed Shop car I want the world to know it’s a DD Speed Shop original.
I love the “past, current, future Dan” banter!!
Careful with the oven cleaner - it may take off ALL of the paint, not just the lettering.
Dan, the longer you laid under the car, the more I thought you would talk yourself out of selling it 🤣
It was hard to do it
I think if I could afford to buy the black and white 57 … I would leave ALL THE LETTERING ON IT JUST LIKE IT IS !
Nice to see that the Camaro is all done and ready to have shit stacked on it.
That car is so cool, I'd leave the graphics alone. It only gets to look that cool one time. Let the new owner decide. Just my thoughts Dan.
Good luck selling, you have so much time, blood, sweat and internet opinion. Hope you get what you want for it.
Holy Dan actually selling a car
Yeah it's a battle for me too ...will hate to see the cars go ..but it will be fun to see what else you pick up later
Leave the paint on that car. If the next owner dont want it. They can remove it. Hopefully a fan or subscriber buys it.
33:47 bumper buttskoot is a learned skill. Also the skirmish with past Dan and future Dan never gets old 😊
Dude!!! The black widow is my second favorite car you have!!! Two lanes is #1 great video!!✌️
The one piece front bumper is worth a lot to 57 lovers, very rare.
Level the sign writing on Dan, be cool to have it like that
So Dan. Not seeing Daisy's not sure why maybe never looked safe for racing ?🤷🏽♂️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😁
11:20 Oh...the Trim pieces on the shelf above your head where you had the Intake that you put on your other tri-five just the other day? Those? LOL!
Haha I forget things
Dan and Danielle I really like this video. I have watched more than a hundred of your videos and like telling my friends a family about smart you are, fun, and entertaining. Good night, God bless. Hope you tour through California someday. Sincerely, Blaine in🤠 Santa Cruz, CA.
And the trim was up on the shelf with the tunnel ram lol
DAN!! Don't get rid of the Sign writing, amazing tho it is to you...that actually makes it worth more. Let the new guy decide whether they want to take that off...They will probably leave it on, it looks great.
Ferris Bueller you're my Hero....;D
Dan. I don't know if it is how you edit the vids but you work so quickly in all that you do. It is something to watch you pull an obscure piece out of a box - That's a 56. That's 57. I love it. It is too bad you can't keep them all but you are the Tri5 master. All the best to Dannie too 🇨🇦
I hope you did not take the Power Tour sticker off. No matter who owns the car it is still a Power Tour survivor
Very good Video Dani and Dan Love the way you just piled all the stuff on the cars
This was an enjoyable video. I don't watch unboxing or mail call on any channel but the 3 boxes you received I understood the senders intentions and it was entertaining watching you dig through the parts. Good luck with the sales.
Im from Mansfield Texas, im an old 50 model dirt track guy! Love yall's videos. Fabrication is cool, you do a great job!
My name is Forrest
Just leave the paint alone lol.. Ide just take the names off above the doors..
You gonna market place these rigs or some kind of bring a trailer deal?
Might be alot of us viewers wanting to toss up a bid or 2..
Matthew Curtis is the man..
Keep up the killer work there Dan..👍👍
Dan that special move you made reminded me of an old dog I use to have. lol
I hope the new owner enjoys the the ride
Don’t take the lettering off. The new owner can brag about having a DD Speed Shop original.
Boy, past Dan didn't do you any favors regarding having the car in shape to sell (just kidding)! I would consult with the buyer before removing the graphics, they may prefer you leave them on (I know I would like at least the front graphics to stay).
There’s a 55’ local to me in Ohio on auction proxibid fully restored sitting at $27,000 with a day left. There’s parts on that auction too
Ouch
Dan's buy here pay here. I've got the repo truck.😆😆😆😆😆
Those Hi Lift or house jack or Bloomfield jack are not just universal bumper jacks they are also a poor mans winch , a fence stretcher. They have been used as the jaws of life before we had all the fancy hydraulic stuff.
I saw those daisies on fb and knew instantly you would get them😂😂😂
I love how you say I this car now ur selling them😮
I say leave the lettering on the front and fenders and just take off the DD part on the back
It was on the shelf behind your head
Awesome job on your 57 Chevy. Keep up the great work.
I really hate to see this car go I wish I had the money for it. Oh well I'll find one some day.
Oh BTW. . If you hit those wheels with a green scotch bright pad they will. Look brushed..
Hey watch the paint on that Kah-mair-ah!
hope you get your dollor, great work man
White wheels, leave the lettering
send that guy a shirt.dang that was nice
Dan the man its always an adventure you make um great smokey 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
Oven cleaner works but only if it’s the good stuff with caustic soda. The environmentally friendly crap won’t take off paint.
Thanks for sharing this video with us
and archaeological dig. cool.
Somebody’s got to do it! I’m proud of you young man! Selling, and BUYING!
I see it sold. Good for you and Future Dan! Rotten Banana next? Make some banana bread😂
Gotta sell off a few more in the fleet first haha
Thanks for the video. I see it sold fast!
Dan you can leave the lettering on the car.If you want to take lettering off a heat gun might help you take them off. Have a great day Dan
Let the buyer determine whether he wants to DD speed shop taken off of the car. If they want it, leave it if they don’t, you could take it off then.
Completely agree.
Keep it on there 💯
Good afternoon from Cape Cod 🦈 you really got some awesome gifts just in time. This is a well put together video guys, I really enjoyed it ✌️🇺🇲
All that minty goodness!!! You have some great subscribers!!
Dan, our latest video on our channel is of a HUGE collection of old cars, complete. Save don't smash em.
The appeal of the car is that it ddspeeds car famous builders
Never thought I'd see this day come...
I absolutely love the black and white. Couldn't sell everything I own and afford it. Someone will be a lucky mug.
The trim was on the selfh with the intake you put on the last video.
Hey Dan, I have a '66 Camaro. I have it stored in my garage with my '49 Corvette with the aluminum body. It has several ultra rare options. It has a louvered oil pan, chromed reversed valve covers, hydraulic spark plugs, tubuar chrome moly windshield wipers and Maypop tires. I also just installed a replacement set of roller muffler bearings. My next project is a Rolls Canardly. It currently rolls down hill and can hardly make it back up. As a side note a Rolls Royce spokesperson once said that their motorcars never break down. They have however, on extremely rare occasions, experienced a failure to proceed.
Dan, the human broom
The Gold Louver’s are Aluminum, they don’t rust, when people remove them that don’t know what they’re doing, they spin the push on nut , cutting thru the Aluminum and the pin falls off, or they just snap the pin off…no rust involved
I don't care ab any of the haters. Yall made my day.
Those are the rims I ran on my 69 camaro half the time. Half the season was creagers and Daisy the other time.
"Dan's Wheel Emporium", where a full set is only 2 matching of the same type. ;-)
Makin some bank and room to buy more!
I would have left the lettering on the front. 😊
Good stuff Dan! Now buy an old square body and DDs speed shop the Heck out of it!
Don’t do too much on these cars, you’re selling . In my experience everyone’s going to low ball ya , kick a tire or two and pick any flaw they can. prolly downplay the work that went into it and make you regret listing it In the first place . You already go above and beyond to make sure your cars are “safe” and structurally sound.
@UCb1S-edCk9WQQmuVtWVDAlQ to many ears ?
Trims on the shelf where you pulled the intake down from…
You had a LS engine cover in your mini barn, just FYI 😂
You found trim on that overhead shelf where your Dual-Quad now resides in your last video...c'mon Dan...
I forget things haha
If you keep them all you're just a hoarder. Keep building sir and share the love
I prefer the more dignified term of "accumulator" rather than hoarder. :-)
This one and the Camaro are my favourites so far… someone is going to get a fun car!
Guys before you go nuts here, see if the new owner would like the lettering on the car. I like it and I'd want it on if I was buying it. Plus free advertising in its new location. Just a thought. Let the new owner decide. I will get off my soap box now and shut up. P.s does the snow blade come with it?
I had to look at pictures of the original black widow to see what you were talking about paint wise , I like yours better
Dan, I have always encouraged you to do your own thing and listen to suggestions but do what you want in the end. That is what I did. I would advise you to listen to Danielle. In my experience and the customs I built, a large part of the value was the lettering, numbering, striping, flame jobs, whatever I sprayed the car as. My wife would sign every interior side panel. She was the best and still is when needed. I still build them but I take a lot of time on them now. She would sign the seat covers she reproduced from the originals. I would sign the car anywhere they wanted. You have a great style. You build nice cars, half the value of that rough car, is that you made it and it is loaded with what many people would want on the paint. There is value there. That car is you, you have value, that car has added value in it because of the value in you. You made it, that paint, roughness and it is you, at this time, right now and it is your expression and very cool just as is. You must understand your brand, your influence to the craft, your name value. My advice is the same, keep building your skills, try and make them gems, not always so rough. If you made them nice, you could double or triple what you can get for them. If you shoot a ten thousand dollar paint job on them for a couple hundred bucks because you mastered metal work, body work and painting. When you get good, you get fast, you get fast and you make money. Last advice, sell the rough stuff, keep the good stuff, cherry a few out for yourself, build many more to a high level, keep the best, sell the junkiest. Never let someone’s harsh words bother you. Believe in yourself, try to always build with handling and structural safety in mind, market your cars as masterpieces when you are done because they are, it works, especially when you have built a finished custom beauty with killer paint. When you build a high end car and decide to sell it you would amaze yourself with the offers you will get. There is an art to selling a high end car, another thing you could learn and you will get good at it if you someday want to. It is a natural progression to build better and better cars as your skills increase. Capitalize on what you do and good luck and best wishes to you.
Dan the oven cleaner will probably take the black and white off also be careful I hate to see you really screw it up buddy
if you look closley that front front bumper is a rare one piece bumper thay call it a california bumper
Still think you shoulda hung onto that '68 Satellite...but that's just me...
Meh wasn't for me.
trim pieces by 2-4 high rise intake on shelf
Selling cars means there is going to be property purchase in the future my guess 👍🏻
AWESOME CARS!
I smashed my big toe at 17 years old. Working in a sawmill with s***** boots. I am now 67 I have limped everyday since that day for the rest of my life. Your feet are your wheels take care of them. I'm just saying oh because I know.
Yep I hear you. I'm 45 I got run over by a car at 7 years old. I've limped ever since and my back hurts. I've also had lots of other injuries from boxing, street fighting and motorcycle crashes. I wish I had taken better care of myself.
Good one !
You know what they say. you can't keep em all...
Who are THEY anyway!!!
really enjoying your two. since I'm not able to buy and build em myself anymore.Dan you remind me of how I was. just get it done drive em and enjoy it. heck my 70 camaro had no speedo for 7 years. Window crank for passenger I used a chrome locking plier. chrome gers you home. keep up the fun!!
I put my lists on the back and/or front glass with a marker, easy too add to as you need to too, comes off easy. I just cut my hair (went past the middle of my back) about 12 inches, so I know your pain. You know how your always buying Dasiy Rims I'm always buying Alum Slots Torque Thrusts & Chevy and Pontiac Ralley rims
Dan you need a workbench for your tools sou they not are on every pleas .
Model A and `68 Camaro dual projects !!! Or, whatever; it`s all good !!! Sad to see the five seven sale...... you gotta do what you gotta do. Rave - On Danni and Dan !!!
