You did a great job on saving this one Dan. The next guy could just make it a great daily driver or take it to the next level of show car. Awesome job on this one too. I’m really stoked about the nova build too 👍😎✌️
back in 1985 my girlfriend bought me a 68 camaro, i was i think 17 years old, it had 1973 plates on it, we spent the summer fixin it up best we could on our high school budget, a 68 was always my dream car, i kept it tll 2003 when i sold it, i had many engines, trans tied the frame, 4 link, tilt front end, many mods and changes over the years but nothing made me happy because i was too big for it, plain and simple. i was gonna say that when you first bought yours but i love them cars and wanted to keep my opinion to myself, but i had many memories and still love 1st gen camaros (had well over 20 of all 3 years) and had about every year camaro/firebird for 4 gens and was known as the camaro guy for almost 20 years. dont miss it one bit, i have pics to remind me of all the years of money, time and agony spent on that thing. its nice to be free.
Ive had Camaro's in my teen's and early 20's lot's of fun, now i'm 60 something not so much at all now but i do like driving my 57 Hardtop, i feel Dans pain
Dan I can appreciate you putting together what you have,it's nice to physically see what your buying. If I see a add for a car that's all tore apart I pass it by.Another thing that gets me are the guys selling cars without titles and they say should be easy to get,if it was why didn't they?
I see that all the time, tore it apart got overwhelmed and try to sell it, or its full of trash and junk piled on top & hood, c'mon folks clean it out! And the no title thing It's a PIA and costly!
Ok, it's my turn to say that Daniel deserves a lot more credit for how much she does around the DD garage. The saying that behind every good man in a great woman comes to mind.
I have watched the small block/ 4 speed/ Lakewood bell install in the Nova, and the big block conversion videos. And yes the throw out bearing is not on the fork properly in the Nova, I remember that.
I had a beautiful 68 Camaro that I did everything you can imagine to make it comfortable for me, never happened. Years before that I had a 70 Nova that fit me perfectly!!
LOL, looking at that picture we cam see that "hunk of junk" Mur bought you was cleaner than anything we've seen you bring home to fix up! You made the right decision to keep her.
I am not as tall as you---so this little car would be a perfect fit with me! Bigger cars give you more room to fly around in an accident! Perfect project car finished! I just think the smaller early GM cars are what I like the most! The Camaro, Pontiac Firebird, etc. Good job!
Watching Dan work on this Camero makes me think of my childhood days, where you can play with your hot wheels cars and imagine you're driving them, but in reality never driving them.
You know what you're absolutely right. You're a tall man. You're a tall man, you have comfort is all about it. That's a fact. You're up there in age. You're not 59 years old, but you're still up there in age. You know, it's bigger. People have problems getting into smaller vehicles, but like you. The try 5 chevys have lots of leg room and lots of headroom. I'm a big guy, i'm 614 hundred pounds
That Nova has been stored for at least a few years i dont remember seeing it for a long time! That New Engine & Transmission & rear end will turn the Nova into a real Beast !!
I've been watchin some earlier video's and saw you do the big block install !!! I had a 74 Nova 350 turbo 350 Automatic , fun car had too change out the transmission in my yard (no garage or driveway) parked on the street ,didnt wanna get run over !!! Great car 37 years ago bought it for $500.00 no rust decent amount of miles for a 7 year old car good interior headers thrush mufflers hanging off the collecters !!! LOL till I got an excessive noise/disturbing the peace ticket !!! Didnt know running thru the gears getting up to speed was so noisy 😅😅 !!! Great memories in that car , racein my younger brother in his 68 Roadrunner (same color as that Nova)fun times !!!
I glad you got your hands on that Camaro and made the repairs that were necessary because you saved that car from rusting out at the side of the road, at least now it has a new lease on life, and someone can enjoy it. ❤️👍🤍👍💙👍
I’m happy, for you Dan. It’s a coming together, it makes too much sense. I love the Nova, the Camaro is cool but I think the Nova is better. 😊 Keep up the good work!
Next time you swap am axle consider dropping the back ends of the leaf springs so you can slide it right in on a car jack. Last time looked like a struggle.
definitely needs a jon seesal . You guys do good work . The trans has something going on if shes slipping a bit. Hopefully not to expesivie to fix. Love the content . I remember driving around in those cars when i was teen an doing midknight auto over buddy garages for upgrades an good times .
DDspeedshop I watched your videos because they are very interesting and entertaining, do anything you want, I love them, keep up the great content and builds. Frank from Pennsylvania
I think your going the right direction with that nova. Its an original SS small block 4spd 12 bolt and ultimately even though it may not numbers match itll be closer to oRIGinal (dan speak lol) trust me i love a big block but im definitely pumped to see how she comes out! And the vinyl top isnt controversial its gonna be MIIIIIINT!
Yup, it's the seats he put in it. They look like seats for a Mack truck.. I tried to tell him to get stock seats, but I think he just never liked this car...
Everybody knows Danni is the brains of this ramshackle outfit....😂 Back in the day Novas and Dusters were everywhere... but they are considered 'unique' now. I had a high school friend with a late-70s 350-4spd Pontiac Phoenix. Fun times.
I think that if you put a good coat of paint on the roof (which no factory ever did) there will be no problems with the vinyl roof (at least in your lifetime). And, I like yellow cars with black vinyl roofs.
I am the same way if it's not what I want no matter how much work I put in it I want what I want period. So good job man live your life your way and I will keep watching!
The hole in door panel doesnt line up bc its a deluxe panel, that is what people where saying. If you do the vinyl top, replace and clean roof up every 5 years or the roof will get trashed.
It doesn't matter what people say about what you're doing and selling it matters. And if you're happy with your cell, it was nice to see you. Restore something that could have really ended up in a wrecking yard or a scrapyard. Instead, you brought it back to life and made it much better for someone else to actually complete it. So don't listen to the critics. Listen to your pocketbook in your heart. I believe that you have a good heart. You do things the way you wanna do things? And you keep up the good work, that's what really matters, dan
Wow ! you moved 4 cars and didn't have to swap a battery I'm impressed!!
I have my moments
Were is "Battery Sponsorship" link? Lol.
He’d rather swap a drive train but a hard NO to swapping batteries. 😅
Having all these cars able to run and drive shows just how hard you have worked! CONGRATULATIONS
You did a great job on saving this one Dan. The next guy could just make it a great daily driver or take it to the next level of show car. Awesome job on this one too. I’m really stoked about the nova build too 👍😎✌️

One thing I’ve learned over my 61 years is that Comfort Counts, the build was the journey now it goes to a different destination. 👍
Ive had Camaro's in my teen's and early 20's lot's of fun, now i'm 60 something not so much at all now but i do like driving my 57 Hardtop, i feel Dans pain
Sounds like u have good taste
Stop worrying about the negative comments. You do you.
People say negative things but still watch.
Dan I can appreciate you putting together what you have,it's nice to physically see what your buying. If I see a add for a car that's all tore apart I pass it by.Another thing that gets me are the guys selling cars without titles and they say should be easy to get,if it was why didn't they?

Nova's are my absolute favorite cars!!! Can't wait fur this one.
Ok, it's my turn to say that Daniel deserves a lot more credit for how much she does around the DD garage. The saying that behind every good man in a great woman comes to mind.
Sad to see the Camaro go but you gave it new life and the next owner will love it to do the final touches.
I have watched the small block/ 4 speed/ Lakewood bell install in the Nova, and the big block conversion videos. And yes the throw out bearing is not on the fork properly in the Nova, I remember that.
I think you will get a good price for the Camaro. Let’s do the 71 Nova swap. Fun, fun. Cheers!! 😎
What’s a roller Camaro worth these days?
Glad ur restoring the nova
Dan you are one of the best in the business. I have learned a lot from you thanke.
Thanks!
Super Solid Camaro Dan, you welded her up real nice !!! Can`t wait for the Pink Belair and the `55 Pontiac guys !!! Rave - On Danni and Dan !!!
The Nova is going to be really nice 👍
Great video can't wait to see the next one. It's not always the way a car looks that counts It's the way it makes you feel
I'm glad you are updating the nova ...
Love the Nova.
Had a 1968 first car at 16 yrs old.
Good job with the exit prep... Move it on.
Restored two Camaro's there fun to drive. Bought a 57 Chevrolet last fall got it on the road this spring and I love driving it.
Tri 5s are perfect cars in my opinion
I am not as tall as you---so this little car would be a perfect fit with me! Bigger cars give you more room to fly around in an accident! Perfect project car finished! I just think the smaller early GM cars are what I like the most! The Camaro, Pontiac Firebird, etc. Good job!
I’m excited to see how the Nova runs with that small block! I think you’re gonna drive the Tri Fives less because of that Nova. Let’s go!
He bought you a learning experience. I'm excited to see a vinyl top done. I have one for my gbody grand prix that I need to do.
Dan. Looking forward to seeing the Camaro gone - so you don't need to keep apologizing for selling it! Dannie is lots of fun. Go Nova!🇨🇦
Watching Dan work on this Camero makes me think of my childhood days, where you can play with your hot wheels cars and imagine you're driving them, but in reality never driving them.
😆
No crying no drama tuffing up, keep more to your self, keep up the good work, you to are going to make it.
With everything else the Nova deserves a nice paint job after you get it all sorted. Mechanically and with that vinyl top a top-notch build
You know what you're absolutely right. You're a tall man. You're a tall man, you have comfort is all about it. That's a fact. You're up there in age. 30’s isn’t really getting up there. What are you driving?
That Nova has been stored for at least a few years i dont remember seeing it for a long time! That New Engine & Transmission & rear end will turn the Nova into a real Beast !!
LOVE all your decisions Dan! Your my hero.
Looking forward to the Nova content.
Thanks for sharing this video with us
It's a great idea to swap the stuff out, put the other stuff in to it. Keep up the great work.
Danny, you should make video about moving cars around 😅
I've been watchin some earlier video's and saw you do the big block install !!! Your masochistic approach to building to car makes my life seem so much better!😆 Oh Dan!!!
Day by day haha
My '69 el Camino had a vinyl roof originally. It's a California car so no body work or paint, but I do want to put on a fresh top. Good idea
A SBC in that little Nova is a great combo !! Drivin a couple and they will scoot around !!
You bought it back to life dan bloody good job
saw it on kijiji, hope you got your asking price. certainly a lot of work into it.
Looking forward to the Nova. Love it, ❤️😎
Some Yahoo probably put the throw out bearing in backwards...
What kinda idiot would do that...
I glad you got your hands on that Camaro and made the repairs that were necessary because you saved that car from rusting out at the side of the road, at least now it has a new lease on life, and someone can enjoy it. ❤️👍🤍👍💙👍
Good on you guys. Another one down the road.
I’m happy, for you Dan. It’s a coming together, it makes too much sense. I love the Nova, the Camaro is cool but I think the Nova is better. 😊 Keep up the good work!
O have a 1969 firebird. I bought the scat pro seats and tracks to go with . I'm 6ft and I have tons of room. FYI for the next one 😂
I am so sick of rain...Calgary...I feel yer pain buddy !!!
You worked hard on the project , hope you got a good price
She is solid
LOOKING GOOD!
Next time you swap am axle consider dropping the back ends of the leaf springs so you can slide it right in on a car jack. Last time looked like a struggle.
Love the Nova! Its a great looking car and I wish I still had my 70 Nova
That will go quick!
Love Danielle’s laugh!
She’s a great supporter of her man’s
Obsession with cars.
Nope
Cool.
Vinyl top is a go!!!
Great job Dan and Dani
Put that small block in it.😊
"DFR"...For those not familar with the term....means "Downthe F*ckin' Road"...when you sell a car it gets "DFR'd"
Yeah but you're changing the words to the recent theme song down that road LOL
Looking forward to the vinyl top tutorial.
definitely needs a jon seesal . You guys do good work . The trans has something going on if shes slipping a bit. Hopefully not to expesivie to fix. Love the content . I remember driving around in those cars when i was teen an doing midknight auto over buddy garages for upgrades an good times .
Nice Camaro. Sad to see it go. Excited about the nova👍💯
Right on, keep on truckin
Good luck with the sales!!!!!
You done such a great job on this Camero you should Waynes World it at the top of a pole on your new property.
DDspeedshop I watched your videos because they are very interesting and entertaining, do anything you want, I love them, keep up the great content and builds. Frank from Pennsylvania
It does suck seeing the Camaro go,but if you dont fit you must acquit. Gorgeous car wish i had the money to snag it
You did a lot of work on that car. But I agree…Nova’s are just cool cars and it’s definitely the right call for DDSS.
great episode guys,
❤❤ love your videos awesome content
Positive Message! 😁
Great setup get paid for your time on UA-cam and when you sell it smart man
I agree with you if you really aren't into the whether you fit comfortable or not time to sell
I think your going the right direction with that nova. Its an original SS small block 4spd 12 bolt and ultimately even though it may not numbers match itll be closer to oRIGinal (dan speak lol) trust me i love a big block but im definitely pumped to see how she comes out! DD Speed Shop cars come and go. Keep up with the great videos and your hard work.
Vinyl tops aren't my favorite, but an all yellow car is a lot of yellow. It'll be a nice contrast.
Thanks for the video.
Nice
I'm 6'5" I fit in my 67 firebird easiy
Yup, it's the seats he put in it. They look like seats for a Mack truck.. I tried to tell him to get stock seats, but I think he just never liked this car...
In the end, it all comes down to, you like what you like! Cars are a very personal choice, and that is my 2-cents (US) worth.
🏁 Love the Novocaine! 🏁
I always drove Nova's, Camaros & Chevelles
Sophia's Pop Pop
She loved the shout out on the live stream a while back!
Ty?!👍

Wow looks cool. Nice sale.
I am the same way if it's not what I want no matter how much work I put in it I want what I want period. So good job man live your life your way and I will keep watching!
Time for another good one 👍👍
The hole in door panel doesnt line up bc its a deluxe panel, that is what people where saying. If you do the vinyl top, replace and clean roof up every 5 years or the roof will get trashed.
Saved it. That's what matters.
I’ve never understood the trailer talk. What would you do? Tow it with your tow truck? I guess you could tow david newbern around on power tour.
It doesn't matter what people say about what you're doing and selling it matters. And if you're happy with your cell, it was nice to see you. Good selling
And it’s already on Facebook marketplace saw it the other day
Looking forward to the changes on the Nova. Maybe Mortske wants your Camaro? Lol
Love the Nova
Love all you toys wish I could afford all keep it up
I dig the Nova, the Camaro is cool but it's still another Camaro... BTW, yes on the vinyl top as long as the roof underneath it is painted.
Not smart Dani , just SMART ASS ATTITUDE at the wrong time .
Wish I could buy it but don’t have the money. My first car was a 67 Camaro back in the early 70s.
