    Thank you sir! I recently started painting controllers to sell and this has been immensely helpful as all those controllers are made up of various curves. Great content.

    Jerry, auto body tape has more elasticity? Can I use other kinds of painting tape? The green or blue stuff.? Nevermind I found it in your next video. Ordered 2.

    Great vid, now when and how do you remove tape and masking after the paint job?

    • @LakesideAutobody
      @LakesideAutobody  4 роки тому +3

      Excellent idea for a video - super! I pull the tape and paper the next but you can do it as soon as the paint dries. Never pull the tape "into" the paint. Pull it away from the paint at about a 45 degree angle - I'll demonstrate that in the video. Have a great weekend.

    Man people undervalue the power of shorter videos.
    Yt algorithms force so much bloat onto the internet

    What tape works best on rubber windshield/windscreen gasket? I guess you could call it glazing as well but both sides of mine are rubber and so far, nothing will stick to it and I do NOT want to remove the windscreen. It’s almost guaranteed to break. Thank you sir! Great video as always!

      That is very frustrating for sure - been there a few times. Try wiping the rubber with rubbing alcohol or lacquer thinner - let it dry and use good 3M auto refinishing masking tape. Let me know if that works for you Chris - have a good weekend :)

    What about a hard 90 degree?

    • @LakesideAutobody
      @LakesideAutobody  24 дні тому

      Great ?. With a super sharp right angle, I use a brand new razor blade - you can cut the tap first if worried about cutting into the vehicle.

    What tape are you using in your video. Looking for flexible tape only shows flex brand tape.

    Glad I decided to not be cheap on this car I'm building,cheap tape is annoying and I've been there.
    Really impressed with all the 3M products I've used on this project ,from their respirators to panel bond to tape.
    And the stylish yet safe tinted safety glasses 😁
    Pretty much use em like normal sunglasses 🤣
