Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate. And thank you 🙏 for subscribing I appreciate it.
I have been spraying paint since the 70's. You are very professional and our future. Great video.
WOW 😮 I can’t tell you how much I appreciate those kind words. Thank you 🙏 so much you’re kind words made my day and make me want to continue to improve as a technician and a content creator.
Great job. It will help speed up my tape jobs. The only flaw i saw was when you pulled the rolled edge out on the door jam. The overspray will stand out on those spots. If the rolled edge is left not pulled away it makes it harder to spot a repaint. A light rubbing the paint line with compound and a rag make a repaint harder to spot. Doing a Mercedes .they might want perfection.
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it.
Whenever you tape up a door or jam there’s always going to be some kind of over spray or indication that it was masked and painted. What you can do is tape the door and the jam so that you can open the door and paint the jam at the same time you paint the outer panels. You can also remove the door and paint it off the car so you can paint everything without making any tape up lines or overspray. With the door off the car you can tape up the opening of where the door would be and paint the jams plus the panel.

J Lulo, you have a new subscriber, honestly you're a great teacher, I'm new to this, could you please show how to do oxidising paint on a car, your explanation is onather level , never seen it on UA-cam, bravo.
Thank you 🙏 for those kind words. I will do my best to make a video about oxidation. I usually have to wait until a car come in to the shop with that kind of problem but when I get a car with that problem I will do my best to make a video about it.

@@J.Lulo_ thank you brother once again. I'm still new to this. I've only done 3 years of college in car paint refinishing and they didn't teach much and only worked in a few body shops and they don't like to teach people new stuff but thankfully for you, you help the paint community alot. Happy life for you brother
I was lucky enough to have some really cool 😎 guys mentor while I was still learning. Hopefully 🙏 one day you’ll find somebody to do the same for you. Meanwhile I’ll be doing my best to keep making videos that can help you on your journey. GOOD 👍 LUCK BROTHER. Don’t worry 😉 you’ll get it. It just takes some time. Take care.
Good job! Thank you for the shared knowledge! Which Plastic do you use, there are high differences in Price, there are plastics with high adhesion and against water marks, do you use that?
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it. I use the basic plastic that works for automotive paint. Here’s a Amazon link for plastic 👉www.amazon.com/dp/B08T3LGYH8/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_7VSFYPT1ZJP8VMX063CA?linkCode=ml2&tag=jlulo78-20
Thnks man
Your welcome 🙏 thank you for watching.
I'm a masker and I would love to show you some of my work.
Lots of respect for being a master. How do you want to show me your work. You can email me pictures if you want. 👉J.lulo_1@yahoo.com. I would love to see some of your work.
💪💪💪💪I want to ask for information, how do you make the blending with solvent-based color?thank you
I use something called a wet bed. It’s like a transparent base coat that helps to blend the base coat.
Show us how to mask off a sunroof. I hate doing those.
Ok I’ll see what I can do.
What scotch would you use and how much would you scotch the panels
Ok so for a blend panel you use a grey scotch brite and for a panel that your going to completely cover with paint you can use a red scotch brite. And colors like silver, gold and other very metallic colors, you should use a grey scotch brite.
Good one can you do a smart blend repair
Can you be more specific when you say smart blend repair.
@@J.Lulo_ A small repair on a fender. Blending into the old paint ( new paint into the old Paint )
Okay 👍. I got you 😉 bro 😎. I have a video coming out soon on a repair like that coming soon so stay tuned for that. Iam working on a couple of new videos coming soon.
And to be honest with you I would usually just paint the whole fender because it’s so easy mask and paint. Doing a small repair to me, in my opinion wouldn’t be worth the time it takes. It would take same amount of time to do a small repair on a fender that it would take to just paint the whole fender and it would look more professional.
Thanks 🙏 for the comments and the questions if there’s anything I can help you with let me know iam here to help. Take Care and Good 👍 Luck.
Im a mobile dealership bumper painter and paint outside in California and im having a huge problem with bridging and from that im getting small areas where my clear is peeling when i pull my tape any tips would be appreciated
Clear usually peels when the panel isn’t properly prepared. You have absolutely make sure that you’re sanding and scuffing everything properly because if not the paint and clear will pull away. Also make sure that when you’re masking parts that aren’t removed from the car , you want to leave a very tiny amount of space between the panel and the part you’re masking. I hope this helps you. Good 👍 luck.
Thank you so much
You’re welcome 🙏.
so there is no need for a edge blender ?
I don’t understand your question can you be more specific with your question.
wait why didnt you soft edge the door?
I back taped the door instead of edge guarding it because it’s quicker to back tape it and I didn’t have to use extra material. If I would’ve used edge guard I would’ve had to paper the jam and the door adding more work to my plate and using more materials.
It might be extra to be asking how do you mask when you're going to paint the entire vehicle...
That is a lot to explain. But for the most part to mask a whole car you have to tape up all the jams and cover everything that’s not getting painted.
I appreciate your response keep pushing out the footage I'll get it eventually.
lol didyou even know you were wearing gloves to mask up bro! lol get hard!
Yeah I always tape up with gloves it’s a pain in the butt, but you get use to it. 🤷♂️
@@J.Lulo_ love your vids tho......but gloves while masking takes the cake 😇🤣🤪
Thanks for the kind words I appreciate it.
I know gloves while masking is kind of goofy 😜. lol 😂
