It makes perfect sense that a Klingon male watching a prospective female show combat prowess would be a turn on. The Klingon home world is full of deadly predators. You want a mate that can fight off those predators on a regular basis and protecting your offspring while you are out doing chore of getting food, and given Klingon physiology, injuries in the endeavor are common.
Not to mention the lore of Klingon history, where they slew their gods.

The "Skull" mask in this episode was originally made for Frank Langella's Skeletor for the 1987 "Masters of the Universe" movie, but ended up not being used in the film as they wanted a more expressive mask.

Consider that these actors are wearing big rubber suits in which they can't see shit and can barely move. You can really only do simple choreography in them.

Ogrematic I use to practice mma but I wanted to protect my brain so I stopped. What they are doing is something that's easy to choreograph quickly for a camera without much effort and risk to the actor. It's not that they can't fight it's easier, faster, and safer to do it this way
