Totally agree! Absolute bitch move... Nothing badass about this, and the weakest point of the show in my opinion. Mike was such a great character, such a badass, he deserved a much better ending than being shot by a bitchy Walt.
Knowing now that Crazy-8 was a DEA snitch, it explains his initial hesitation to smoke Walt and Jesse. Some things the feds weren't going to absolve him of.
I think the way Walt executes Jack mid sentence and then reveals to Lydia that she's already dead is one of Walt's most badass moments, as well as 'Because your boss is gonna need me...' 'Tread lightly...' is another that deserves a mention.
Yeah this top 5 is awful. The real top 5 would be something like 5 - Gassing Emilio & Crazy 8 4 - Tread Lightly 3 - Running over the guys Jesse was about to kill 2 - Sending Jesse to kill Gale 1 - Massacring the Nazis and rescuing Jesse. The only reason the Nazis is above Gale is because in that episode he gets a little bit of redemption before he dies.
@@Synchronised01 I'd replace #5 with, "Stay out of my territory". Walt dispatched Emilio/Crazy 8 because he had an unexpected opportunity in the face of abject fear and self-preservation, not because he was a badass. Otherwise, great list, and I think Walter's unflinching execution of the surviving dealer in #3 was just fricking chilling.
Mike's death may show how dangerous Walter is, but it also showed how dangerous he was to himself. His inability to control his pride meant he was invariably going to come down.
No just how out of control and the cancer was back. He had to take a back seat to the team he got screwed over when he was young. He just got carried away
Yea its definitely a defining moment in the show but it's far from badass. He panicked, shot Mike out of impulse, and then asked him for forgiveness. Its a better example of him being pathetic and really just proves Mike's point about Walters greed and ego in my opinion. Its definitely a great scene but if someone watches that and says "wow what a cool guy" idk what to tell them lol.
He might have been able to get the info but Walter would never have had the nerve to kill all of Mike’s guys if he was still alive. Walter and Lydia would have been scared to death that Mike would come for payback.

He contacted someone to organize murders inside the prison so the men could not leak any info. There is much more story to this but thats essentially it
You should really watch the show. It's so good. He killed all those people in jail to tie up loose ends. They knew who he was and what he did. I started watching the show because ,like you, I seen a clip then I asked online why something happened.
'Say my name.' 'You're goddam right.' _still_ gives me chills. Cranston is easily on my short list of greatest actors currently working. And it's a _very_ short list.
All of the musical choices were amazing. Even the songs that aren't anything I'd listen to normally lend so much additional power and intensity to their respective scenes. For example, that wacky rock track that plays when he tells those wannabe cooks to stay out of his territory. I'd never listen to it on its own, but it so perfectly captures the mood and vibe of the scene. Then there's Fred Astaire's "Pick Yourself Up" playing over the course of the GRUESOME prison murder scene; that's something I would listen to naturally, but pairing it with this absolutely ruthless string of horribly graphic murders-- it's so light and lilting and cheerful, which makes the scene so, SO much colder in my opinion. The perfect show. I know some people prefer BCS, but it's just not the same. It's a great series, but it just doesn't possess the same range, diversity of interests & emotions, and WILD levels of character development that BB does. And this is coming from a complete Mike & Saul stan! 🤌
Walter still has the best actor in the entire series (Bryan Cranston) and is the most well written character in the show. You can’t deny that no matter how much you dislike him
I have always felt that Mike was the baddest man in the show. Fine, he got killed by Walt but evolution wise he was still miles ahead of Walt. Walter was majorly a guy with a bruised ego and he sought redemption everywhere in the name of his family. Walt's biggest strength was his (almost) constant comraderie for Jesse Pinkman.
In the first minutes of the series Walt did about three amazingly stupid things. Beginning with throwing the respirator into the desert. In a fit of rage. Idiotic.

The show is worth the time. Well worth it. Then do Better Call Saul.
No spoilers mate! Watch it urself
Potential witnesses.
i forgot how genuinely brutal the prison murders were. My god...
where is the - i am NOT in danger I AM THE danger
That scene gave me chills of awesomeness.
'Say my name.' 'You're goddam right.' _still_ gives me chills.
Cranston is easily on my short list of greatest actors currently working. And it's a _very_ short list.
The background instrumentals in the episodes are flawless
I think that the prison scenes where they took out all the snitches at once was Epic!! It all took less than 15 minutes. Hank was pissed off!!!-lol
not sure the ways were Walt's idea, only the timescale.
Not 15 but 2 minutes
I love that scene where Mike tells Walt how he screwed everything up
I can smell tucos breath through the phone😂
You cant even pick up just 5 scenes from this great series 😂😂, its filled with many many more
I wouldn't say Walt shooting Mike was "badass", egotistical, stupid, and paranoid more like it.
Mike's death wasn't neccessary... Im so sorry for him
still gives me goosebumps these scenes, incredible show
Killing Mike was not a bad ass move. Damn.
I think breaking bad is my favourite tv series of all time.
Mike would have never gotten smoked by Walter.
Never.
Looks like he did
@@Josama0214 People like yourself…..are the fucking worst. Lol
He did
The moment he came up with using fumigating houses to cook meth in.
They could have gone on like that for years.
before mike died he was probably thinking ''i knew i should have killed him all those times i had a gun on him wtff''
1:04 run mr white run
I hated Walter for killing Mike.
Mike should have known Walter is erratic. It’s his fault he died
That RV had some crazy magic shit going on inside. Way more room inside than it looked like it had outside
In the first minutes of the series Walt did about three amazingly stupid things. Beginning with throwing the respirator into the desert. In a fit of rage. Idiotic.
Sewing the seeds for the rest of the show. Walt always thinking fast. But Mike was right at the river.
Walter White was and still is the greatest tv character of all time. Possibly the greatest fictional character of all time, too.
He was so good on Malcolm in the middle
George Costanza is a close second.
bro 😭😭😭
he aint even in the top 10 slow your roll son
@@aa-tx7thit’s pretty unanimous he’s one of, if not the greatest tv character of all time. Just because you don’t like something being true doesn’t mean it’s not true. Cope harder son.
@@aa-tx7thyou haven't gone past the 4th season it seems
Walter killing mike wasnt badass, him killing gus was hella bad ass. He plotted, got jesses girlfriends son sick cause he knew hed turn on walter and walt could prove his innocence since the illness wasnt serious and got jesse to turn on gus. And then walter knew hector wouldnt talk to the dea but it would lead gus to finish hector thinking he did talk. A lot of depth
You know what's crazy, Before gus died hector actually did Morse code with his bell. He called gus the N word. I'm not even joking
Masterpiece Breaking Bad ❤
Best Drama Series ever...
Tight tight tight tight.....
Walter´s most inhuman moment was when he let Jane die.
She had the dirt and ran her mouth. She had to go and he wasn't responsible for her death. .
Jane should have minded her own business, just like a woman, when it comes to their financial gain though, that was a realistic moment for sure 😊
Since Crazy 8 was an informant he was not concerned about Walt being there during the raid. He was thinking of all the possible angles.
They should have named the show “anxiety”. It’s an incredible show but it’s so emotional to watch.
9:04 I tried this one on my job interview and for some reason it didn't go well, not sure why
it was uncertain whether he would live or die of cancer. so he went by heisenberg.
What makes number 1, number 1 is that they mixed the Howard Dean scream into the audio.
Walt killing Mike ain't badass move. He killed Mike because he lost an argument with him. That was stupid af
2:46 the sound of throwing cigarette .😮
That's detail !!
Mike's death wasnt "badass" it was *petty.*
Maybe that's why the video got less than 10% view to like ratio
It still happened regardless. Walter killed Mike no matter how insane it sounds
how is the last scene of the show not on the list??
