    Wow...mind opening for sure! I'd rather eat healthy foods through out the day knowing that I am doing my body good and not feeling guilty eating one meal that's ridiculously high in calories! Thanks for this video! 😊

    One of the things I dislike about the Chipotle style restaurants is that even if you tell tell them “just a little” of the higher calorie sauces and dressings they still put way too much! I don’t eat out often at all, but these types of restaurants seem like a better choice if you can get the employee putting together your order to pay attention to your requests. Overall, eating at home and preparing fresh foods is always a winner! Thanks for the video!

    Another terrific video, Michele! It's one thing to read about calorie density, it's another to see it in real life. While I know that a burrito is a calorie bomb in disguise, I had no idea it had an entire day's worth of calories rolled in. I love the way you demonstrate how truly abundant the alternative can be, loaded with variety and satiety. I always look forward to your videos - and by all means - lick the spoon, sister! Sending you lots of good vibes, friend 🌺

    Honestly, if I ate that burrito and chips I would be stuffed all day. I wouldn't eat the rest of the day not from fullness but from feeling awful the rest of the day. I most definitely prefer to eat your way. I mean look how beautiful all the colors. Great video. Think I'll make that salad today.

    I am allergic to corn, lime, most fruits except apples and bananas and dates. Can't have hot peppers, nuts, tofu, soy of any kind. IT's hard eating plant based for me.

    Hi Michele I love your videos!!! It's funny because we just went and had a burrito with some chips the other day. So to see the two comparisons is very eye-opening. For your apples can I add peanut butter or almond butter? Thank you for all the hard work you do! From Ontario Canada

      Hi! Thank you for your kind words. Totally that would be fine. If weight loss is your aim, stick to 1 teaspoon-1 tablespoon of nut butter.

    That burrito is so gigantic that you can easily divide it into three meals and fill one half of the plate with vegetables.

    This is GREAT! But did she put any dressing on the salad? Did I miss that? That's where I run into my problems. Dressings are usually high in calories and fat. I need help with that. Does anyone have any suggestions? Please and thank u!

    what if you can't eat large volumes? I am overweight but cannot eat large volumes, if real hungry sometimes I can eat like 3-4 cups of mostly water ie lipton noodle soup (not vegan) I tried eating potatoes but ended up with so little calories 800 day and full volume wise but hungry. I also do not eat oatmeal or any hot cereal my whole life, can't force it down. I do love salads, I love beans, would never add potatoes and I could still maybe eat 1/2 of that salad maybe.I would have to snack on it for hours or eat the second part hours later. Why is food with Volume looked at like Gold? I prefer the Chipotle burrito you show but still would only be able to eat half of that at most at one time and probably only 1/3. I had Chipotle at my daughters and 1 bowl fed me for 3 meals! on 3 different days. I love spring rolls with a sauce, soups, avocado toast but they are 1/3-1/2 the volume of the meals you showed. Do most people really want to eat those large volumes?

      I definitely don’t eat all of this in one sitting. What I was doing was sharing a comparison. You can adjust it to how you need to do it. If I ate all of that in one sitting, I would not be able to do it either. But spaced throughout the day it makes sense.

    I would like to see the same data without the chips. Hard to believe that anyone seriously watching their weight would eat chips, so I don't think it is a fair comparison. Otherwise, an inspiring video; thank you!

    • @veganmichele
      @veganmichele  Місяць тому +1

      The burrito without the chips and guacamole is still over 1100 calories. For weight loss, in my opinion, that is still an excessive amount of calories for one meal.
