Here's one!! When making your fat free dressings, my favorite is, balsamic vinegar, whole grain mustard and maple syrup, add a sprinkle, or up to a tablespoon of ground flaxseed, depending on how much you make at one time. It will help thicken it so it sticks to your greens. And you get the health benefits of the flax as well...It's a win win!!
struggling with unhealthy eating habits, these vegan cooking hacks spoke to my journey. I used to find plant-based meals challenging, lacking creativity. The creator's tips felt like a revelation, simplifying my transition. Incorporating more vegetables and exploring diverse flavors became easier. The Aspect Health subtly highlighted aligns with my focus on a balanced lifestyle. Grateful for these hacks, making vegan cooking accessible and enjoyable.
So glad this was helpful! It doesn't have to be complicated, and it definitely doesn't have to taste gross. Keep it simple, but exciting enough to keep yourself on track. you've got this!
Fantastic video. I just subscribed because I loved it so much. The reason I love this video is because you delivered a lot of great information in a short amount of time. BTW, here is my hack. If you add more plant milk and a teaspoon of cocoa powder to the nice cream you get a nice milkshake AKA a mylkshake.
I rewatch this video so many times. These hacks are the BEST! You have helped me so much make my meals taste better with simple but delicious hacks, thank you very much! Do more!
We have a few pear trees. I peel a fresh pear, add mustard, garlic, lemon juice, seasonings. Blend. If needed add water to thin out a bit or a tablespoon of cashews or silken tofu to make it more creamy. Delicious and healthy!
I like using white onions for veggie stalk. They have a nice flavor. Also my favorite vegan candy from a private vendor is pricey and other have alot of sugar. So i buy enjoy life chocolate melt the chocolate add vegan butter and almonds. Put the chocolate/ almond mix in freezer . And break in pieces. ❤
Love the hacks, Thanks! I love avocado toast with everything but the bagel sprinkled on top! I also blitz up in my food processor, ginger into small bits and then on a pan and freeze, after remove and put in a container/freezer bag. Same with garlic so I alway have it on hand to use. So as long as my food processor is now dirty ...I make a batch of hummus. This way I only clean the processor once. I find that ginger really does a lot for a lot of dishes and is really healthy for you.
Thank you Michele, especially for the tomato paste cube idea, as I hate when the rest of a can goes bad before I can use it. I may also try your cheese recipe, to put on steamed cauliflower or broccoli. If you have not already covered this hack in one of your videos, you definitely should share this with people: Cut up broccoli (and other cruciferous vegetables like cabbage, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, bok choy, and collard greens) at least 40 minutes before you cook them, so that the enzyme in broccoli (myrosinase) needed to create the anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-cancer compound Sulforaphane, but which enzyme gets destroyed by cooking, will have time to create the Sulforaphane, which is not destroyed by cooking. That will give you the benefits of Sulforaphane, along with the other benefits of broccoli. Dr. Greger and others have videos about this.
Instead of trying to buy ripe avocados at the store that often end up being bruised and looking rough inside, I buy them rock hard and let them ripen at home. Perfect and no bruises 😅
I love your hack video's and this one is SO SO GOOD for people who want to start going Vegan. I hope you will always keep your feet on the ground and will stay who you are now, because you are fantastic the way you are.
One thing that improves my recipes is umami powder, made from mushrooms. It's easy to find on Amazon. A little bit just adds an extra something to recipes that replicate cheese or meat dishes. For example I tried some in your Parmesan (which was great by the way) and I think it adds a little extra.
I am going to definitely try the cheese sauce!! I also love the mushroom, lentil walnut combo. I have tried some of your recipes and they never disappoint! Great video. Thanks for sharing! Happy New Year!
I have a hack for the tomato paste hack... ha ha.... instead of an ice cube tray, just drop tablespoons of the paste on a piece of wax or parchment paper on a cookie tray and freeze. Then dump them into a baggie for storage. Same as the ice-cube tray hack, except you don't have a stained or messy cube tray to wash afterward! :)
Very nice . You motivated me to keep going . I was about to quit this lifestyle , since no encouragement from my family . Lots of temptation 😢 I even got your bundle . It is amazing ❤if people just know the truth about healthy living ! It is sad to see others suffering from health problems and traditional medicine don’t even recognize ( it is all about right nutrition) Thanks again ! You saved me from slipping 🙏
Thanks again ! I just made a smoothie from your book . It tasted delicious. I found all your recipes are very simple but very tasty . God bless all your hard work and dedication to guide people like me to the right way !
Just remember, veganism is not a diet, it’s a stance against animal cruelty and exploitation. It’s good to think of this when you feel tempted to consume animal products.
@@veganmichele The "nicecream" hack looks good. Do you freeze the bananas as soon as you purchase them or do you let them get overly ripe first and then freeze them?
Great tips! Thanks. I’m not vegan but I’m leaning in that direction and have not been very successful yet. These hacks are easy and look delicious! Just subscribed and I’m going to order your cookbook. Thanks for all the resources!
You are just lovely! And I've used many of these hacks. I don't have anything new to add, but I do like sprinkles- chia seeds, hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds, goji berries, etc.
Didn't know your channel up to this Video. Liked it so much that I not only follow, I also shared it with the vegan community on Mastodon. (I knew all this (but will try your cheese sauce) but it's perfect for beginners). Maybe next time add the benefit of having dried & already cooked chickpeas :)
So glad to see the avocado sub for eggs. I’m having back surgery next month. I’m making a ton of freezer meals. I had wanted to make breakfast sandwiches but didn’t want to add the eggs. This will be a perfect sun!
Haven't made Nice cream but not something I am usually in the mood for during the winter unless it was served with something hot. Fantastic vegan food hacks Michele and love 🥰 the video and love 💕 Michele & family.
You're so welcome! That's great, regardless of what diet you follow I think we can all agree that getting in more fruits, veggies, whole grains, beans and legumes is a good thing :)
Yes, absolutely. I have done recipes with up to 3 eggs and its worked great. If you need many more, you'd have to test it out as I haven't done anything more than three :)
Could I use hemp seeds or sunflower seeds in the place of cashews for the cheese sauce? There’s a nut allergy in my household. Thank you and Happy New Year!
THAT was a great video. Really good hacks. Bookmarked and subscribed. If I may add something. Yes, FASS. Fat, Acid, Salt and Sweet. But there is more to taste: there is bitter, spicy and umamai. There is also the hot-cold contrast (put something cold on top of a hot meal). There is texture! (A good tofu tastes like nothing - but it has a mouthfeel to die for.) Don't be mad. These are just additions to your fantastic video, after many years of being vegan. And these are universal truths that apply to meat eaters too! But since vegans still have so much more to experiment with: these are great starters. There are many ways to add these flavours. Asian stores have lots of vegan sauces and pastes, which transport just that. Mushroom sauce, soy sauce, many fermented soy and chili sauce mixtures..
Hello! I'm new to your channel and I'm excited to see more of your videos. I'm not vegan but I'm trying to do about 75% plant-based recipes. Can you please tell me which milk you use to make the buttermilk for it to curdle? And, is liquid smoke considered a healthy option? Thank you!
So glad you are here :) Any plant milk will work. I used soy milk in this video. Liquid smoke isn't something you want to include daily, but having it on occasion to help bring variety (you only need a few drops) I think is a great option.

i made the banana thing with a little heavy cream.... excellent. i often have a half avocado, as a side with a 4 to 6 oz. grilled piece of beef, or a baked chicken leg. that avocado is also great for breakfast with a couple scrambled eggs. the salad is much better with cubed of browned pork or beef. then you do not need the fake smoke crap. chick pea? really you cannot be serious. the goal of any meal is to NEVER eat a garbanzo bean. in short any meal will be better tasting and more nutritious with MEAT! build muscle not virtue. you need muscle way more than virtue!
