i invested on a Naturehike Cycling 1 UL tent for my first ever tent 5y ago as I started going through major hikes here in the Philippines and boy, I have never regretted buying it… up until now, some of my new hiking buddies are amazed on how light weight, sturdy and efficient my NH tent is. Even on a really heavy and windy summit camp downpour, it stood up proudly while keeping the condensation within flowing through the sides and not affecting the inner flynit. however, my girlfriend is now planning to hike with me so i’m planning to upgrade to either the Cloud Up 2 (w/c you recommend) or the Opalus Tunnel Tent soon! :)
I think the one thing Naturehike needs to consider is to offer a choice of inners so that you can opt for solid fabric over all that mesh if you want more of a cold weather tent.
Excellent reviews - we just bought the Cloud Up 3 - we do mostly car camping and we are older (63 and 66), so the additional room is good and weight not really an issue. We'll be taking it out for a trip shortly to Cape Split, Nova Scotia. Have watched several of your videos and enjoyed them - thank you - we have subscribed. :)
Thanks Laura - yeah, the Cloud Up 3 is a great tent - and a decent size too. I apologise that not a lot of content gone up recently, life has taken over at present, but I will make a return at some point.
I love the Cloud Peak 2 - so much space inside, even with two people and loads in the vestibules for cooking in bad weather. I had it up in a gale in the Cheviots and it came through unscathed. A tough third placing there buddy :)
It is a great tent, and as I said, my ranking is based in my own preferences and experiences. The cloud peak certainly is the tent I'd go too to when I need a bomb proof tent or more space, but for the most part, I will choose the lighter options first.. especially in better weather.
I have the Naturehike Spider 1, also called the 'Bicycle tent'. It's just like CloudUp2, but made for 1 person and with a side entrance. Lightweight, with an all mesh inner tent, so I use it only in summer. Brilliant little thing!👍🏼👋🇧🇻😊

@@scorpiokitty9745 Thanks for this input. I was looking at the 'Bicycle Tent' as I like the side entrance more than the Cloud series and you get the dual Vestibule. The Cloud vestibule looks tough if you need room to cook in the rain.
The fly doesn't pull away from two of the sides tho. This is an issue for sure if it's rainy and windy. Why? Because when the fly is pressed up against the mess water is likely to run down the fly and into the tent under the right conditions. I do think it's a cool tent except that one flaw but that flaw had prevented me from buying it. It's unfortunate because it's so small and light and I like how it pitches. I wish it had time outs on all the sides or was designed such that the sides don't touch the mesh
Another vote for the bicycle tent. I added tarp grip tie out to help set the fly up better - works fine and taken a few soakings on Dartmoor without any issues.
Nice review. 3 years already had the cloud up 3p tent and always taking it to rainy/damp jungles every twice a month, still absolutely no issues and the vestibule still water resistant.

I used 4 tents that you've reviewed and I totally agree with how "flexible" Cloud Up 2 is, at first I was thinking that its too "small" for us 2 persons with 2 osprey 40+ liters inside, but we kinda like it as time goes by. The most versatile naturehike tent for me. With proper installation, no water will go inside. In cold weather, only moisture gets in (which is just fine for the price). Will totally get another one if it naturehike will upgrade the cloud up 2 with 2 doors now.
As usual another excellent share of info on tents. So many outdoor adventure people often overlook tents that will perform in bad weather as they opt not to go. Appreciate your treks . TY.

Love the cloud up 2 so much I now have 3, 1 updated version no skirt, 1 updated version with skirt (which I altered by adding peg loops to the skirt itself.. no more flapping and it does a cracking job of preventing midges from getting in under the fly. And I recently bought a 3rd updated one with no skirt which I'm in the middle of altering the inner from 3 season to 4 season by replacing the mesh upper.

I've got the VIK 1 (updated version) and pretty happy as well, but it's just a tent for the summer. Cold nights = moist nights inside. I tested it out at 1°C and had puddles in all 4 corners next morning. But for dry nights above 10°C you've got no issues at all. Rainy summernights are also a bit of an issue, because moisture is also bilding up quickly inside (but it's sealed and watertight. It's my go to tent for lightweigt short-trips but for longer adventures I'll try out the Cloud up 2. I especially love the door, that you can use it as small roof with some sticks or hiking poles. Maybe next year you couldt take a look at the Cloud Up Wing 2 and the Naturehike shared 2. Both look pretty intersting and unfortunately you find nearly no reviews.
I do love the Vik 1 but you are right - by no stretch is it a four season tent - but how much fun throughout the summer? I would love to check out the cloud wing, may have to look into it, for sure! Cheers!
I got the cloud up 2 after seeing your videos and no regrets a wicked tent also got the upgraded dark green version. Not been out in really bad winds partly because I go far away from we’re ever Trev camps, a bit of helpful advice for you all as we all know tornados follow Trev. But superb tent and I think the best tent on the market for the money and one of the best tents on the market period, it’s really that good and lite weight too. @@smokie33 210T version in dark army green colour, you can get a roll of none slip matting from B & M for around £1.00 super thin and lite and will stop you sliding around.
I have the cloud up 2. The door is just too small( I'm only 5'7"). Too difficult to get in and out. And it's too hot in the summer because the mesh screen is more like a plastic which doesn't let any air in. Sets up is easy, and has decent room, but these 2 things are deal kilers for me. I will be looking for something different.
Great Vid Trev, I am on the fence about buying a Cloud Up 2, but I think I am swaying towards a hexpeak. But now after watching this I am even more undecided! Damn You!

@@SummitOrNothing just did a review myself Trev. Give it a watch when you get 5 minutes. I'm the guy that was on the summit of cadair idris shouting summit or nothing with bulldog Badger and Twin peaks lol.
Great vid Trev, naturehike tents are pretty reasonably priced too, I do fancy getting the cloud peak 2 in the future, but like you said it is a popular tent (similar and cheaper than the Allack), cheers mate, Luke👍
They're currently available, Luke. I know when I first went to get one they were mostly out of stock and the companies that had some had ramped the price right up!
Zipper snagged on my cloud peak too. I think it's fixable but need to unstitch a bit, good thing there's two doors. Also, the later models don't have the inner zipper going on the bottom, you have to open it all the way unless you want to high-jump yourself in. Otherwise, no complaints, a very very good tent and quite nice to pitch up. Now I'm looking for something for the winter, kind of like the Naturehike Opalus, but haven't made up my mind yet.
I have a cloud up 2 UL model and its a great tent overall. Its my backup tent now for a few smaller reasons though. Its pretty noisy in heavy wind. No matter how tight I get it, it still flaps around a bit. I'm also not really a fan of the entrance being on the narrow end instead of on the side. You have to crawl around a lot and over bags in the vestibule and stuff. And I wish the inner walls didn't have mesh going so far down. Even on semi warm nights you can feel a breeze on your face while sleeping because the mesh is so low. Otherwise it stays decently warm. The first night I ever used it ended up getting a good rain and the tent performed perfectly right out of the box.
Very great review Mr Trevor but you didn't tell me which tent would stop me from getting caught wild camping in the Peak District! Try to be more thorough with your reviews next time sunshine!!! Great review--I've said it before but I'll say it again: The Cloud Up 2 is my fave and I bought it because of your reviews.
Hi! Would you recommend the cloud up 2, 3 or the mongar 2 for 2 people? Most times i am just going to use it myself, but that might only be on short trips, while i am going to use it with another person for longer trips. Is the cloud up 2, too small for my situation, and if; do i get the most out of the mongar 2 og the cloud up 3? Nice videos😊
I have cloud peak 2 15 d light weight version T zip and Targa 2 , the targa 2 survived a storm high above the kirkstone inn and then on a campsite in between kirkstone and paterdale during the same storm that destroyed at least five other tents and brought down trees and power lines the Targa survived without a scratch , a good tip from karen in the wild is always ensure the velcro flap at the bottom of the doors on cloud peak 2 are fastened ,it stops the zips from doing what yours did , the zips seem to break more frim rough handling and trying to force the zip sides to line up than from wind but they are a weak point thats for sure .
Hi Trev, first of all I'd like to thank you for your honesty in your videos. Any chance for reviewing Naturehike Cirrus 2 People Tent? I am very very close to buy it. Also, greetings from Turkey.
is the 10D version of the cloud up 2 as resistance to wind concerning pole stability, movements of the tent (inner and outter) as the 20D version of the cloud up 2?
All great tents with good and bad points. I find the cloud up 2 quite narrow when sitting up. The Vik 2 is simple and up in seconds. Wee bit of condensation in the morning. I could feel the cloud up airy and fresh when sitting up and holding the heat better when lying down. The Vik 2 was the opposite but the headroom in that thing is phenomenal. All great tents tbh it’s just weighing it up and try not to end up with plastic boxes filled with tents…..oops
Yea - you make some valid pioints there Derek. The Vik 1 is lovely and light if you know its gonna be warm and dry, the Cloud Up 2 is a great tent, but I know what you mean about narrow, its one of the only Naturehike tents without a cross member. Also, once that side wind hits it, its not much fun
Hello guys, really looking for advice here. Im torn between MSR and naturehike tent. Id really like to have MSR but theres too much bad reviews even at the MSR website. However cant find any complaints with naturehike. Should i go with naturehike? Are any good?
I think they are fine tents indeed, i have an MSR, not my favourite tent by sure. Heres a vid where I went out with someone in an MSR tent and we got hit by strong winds. You should definitly take a look at the end results
When setting up the rainfly first (4:07), how does it connect to the bottom? The rainfly has these plastic clip ins, but does the foot print has corresponding parts to clip in to? I got a Mongar 2, however the footprint has no clips (the mesh does).
I watched a few of your video's when I was looking for information on tents back in 2020. I ended up with the NatureHike Cycling tent which is awesome. A little like the CloudUp but with side access. I got mine in the same darker green as your CloudUp2. I modified it a little for the lines outside and put elastic lace loops on the end of each line so it will always remain tight. Thanks for your info and sharing, it helps a lot of us scouring for information before dropping money on something. 😀👍
Looking for a first tent for myself and my partner. Would you still recommend the Cloud Up 2? I think you ranked it based on your own usage as one person using it. Which would you use for two people?
Thanks for the reviews. Much as I'm really tempted by the cloud peaks at 210cm in length there's not realistic options. I don't know if it's just me but tents don't seem to be designed for people over 6ft. Realistically with a sleeping bag it's even longer...
Yea - I am just under 6ft, and sleep curled up so not an issue for me, but many say how it isnt ideal for them. Sometimes they work better if you set up diagonally in a smaller tent - not ideal I know, but I have done it in the past!
I didnt use it im afraid.. I raffled it for charity unspoilt. Also, as it was last year I filmed that review I couldnt really remember it clearly enough to comment
I made the mistake of getting the 1 man version, cloud up 2. As on the diagrams it had the bigger vestibule, still not a ideal cook area! Wish I had of got your recommendation instead of trying to be clever. Settled on the phox11v2 now🥰
I just ordered the cloud up 3 cause I'm taking a girl camping and needed something luxurious. Found one on ebay new for only $103 in green. Might be the old version tho not sure
Great review Trev, I can only common the peak two, thought it was a great solid tent, this weekend was the first time I used it, with stood the wind and didn’t leak, my only complain is the qualifying the zips, kept snagging every time I opened closed the tent
Great info, but You stated that you bought the Dark Green version of Cloud Up 2 for stealth camping 🤔 but you then put High Vis yellow guy lines on it.😂
Thank you Mr Nath. Interesting and useful. Why no Lanshans in here may I ask? Not a fan of trekking pole tents? Genuinely interested purely because people seem to rave about them so much. Love my Vik2, just bought Lanshan 2 Pro.
This is just my Naturehike Tents ranked. If tou scroll back through my channel you will see a top 5 vid from last year for my tents across the board.. you will find the lanshan in there! Thanks for watching!

This is my own naturehike tents ranked for how I use them, really, I guess. There's not a lot of difference in the two, although the CU2 has more anchor points in winds too, I think. Not sure, been a while since I knocked this video up.
@@bidufree I got the Cloud Up 1 based on their diagram of having a 230 inner, what a disappointment, in reality the inner doesn’t pitch like that at all, those 30cm at the back only exist if you really stretch the floor out to accommodate a tape measure. In fact it only got 200cm useable length, at 6’1 myself I do actually fit in but my head is touching the door and my 220cm sleeping bag is bunching up against the low hanging inner at the foot end. Also the side guy out points are a very strange design, they kinda pull up the bathtub floor and put tension on it. The vestibule is no use for cooking either, yeah it was a disappointing purchase, should’ve have done my homework more thoroughly, fortunately I only paid €73 during their April flash sale.
@@JammyJerry Thats a shame you had issues with hieght. Im 5, 10 and never had a problem with it (I sleep curled up or in a smaller tent I tend to sleep diagonally). I reckon if you ebayed it you'd easily make your money back, though, if you havent already.
@@SummitOrNothing it's basically the nevis, but with some changes / improvements, 1 biggy ( well for ME) is the new moss green colour, I think it's a LOT more stealthy 👍👍

I do love the Vik 1 but you are right - by no stretch is it a four season tent - but how much fun throughout the summer? I would love to check out the cloud wing, may have to look into it, for sure! Cheers!
Just got the cloud up 2 for a single lerson backpacking tent. I hope it will do as well as everyone says
Cheers Trev for being out in the crappiest weather so we don’t have too 👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏕⛺️👍
🤣🤣🤣 my pleasure lol. Glad you like your naturehike.
Hi. Do you have the 20D or 210T version of Cloud up 2?! Can you get it in colour green?
I'm deciding whether to go for the 20D version in green if they have it. I read somewhere that (i can't remember which version) can make the inner floor of the tent more slippery and make your sleeping bag slide around ? Do you any comments or experience with that. And if so was it with the 20D or 210T tent?!
Damn You!
Haha... yea the hexeak is a popular tent too. Shall have to try one myself at some point for sure. But I do love my Naturehike lol.
Great list Trev👍 would you like a Naturehike Mongar 2 to test ? I'll have them in stock around the end of the month
I love mine, the mesh inner means a warmer sleeping bag and the colour of mine is funky but it's a great tent 👍
Hmmm. Yea, ive not tried a monger yet. What kind of price are you selling them on for and which colours will you have available?
@@SummitOrNothing I'll send you one for free ,light grey , similar to VIK 1
Another tent review on the horizon by the sound of it 👍
@@southcoastoutdoorsuk6301 ah wow... contact me via email mate and we can discuss it further. Cheers!
i have the cloud up 1 and i absolutely love it just orderd a sleeping bag off them too it has not arived yet ,i use my cloud up 1 for camping in the rockys
Yea they're fantastic tents. I have one of their down sleeping bags.. think they do a mummy down too.
Great vid Trev, I own the vik, cloud peak and mongar. Maybe you should take a look at the mongar and its not to heavy. Love naturehike tents 👍
Yea, i have heard that a lot of people have gone for the Mongar... not seen one, so look forward to maybe looking into one for sure.
@@SummitOrNothing just did a review myself Trev. Give it a watch when you get 5 minutes. I'm the guy that was on the summit of cadair idris shouting summit or nothing with bulldog Badger and Twin peaks lol.
@@Camp-N-Wilddragon Cool! Will check it out!
Can't really decide which one to buy, it's between cloud up 2 and star river 2 now, the star river is a bit larger inside I think🤔
Yea, I've been looking at the oculus too, but perhaps should try another brand... my tent shelf is a bit like a naturehoke warehouse 😅🤣
🤣🤣🤣 If only I had the answer to that I reckon the vid would go through the roof lol.
What tent do you suggest for 2p motorbike winter trip? (Rain, Wind, ecc)
Cloud Peak 2p or Cloud Up 3p? (They are similar weight/packing)
I love the naturehike stuff thanks for the top 5 and glad to see I bought number 1 lol
Haha... yea me too... great brand and decent tents.
Is there a Chinese tent with shortened poles for bikepacking?
Hi, great video reviews. How did you attach the additional tie line to the back vent at the naturehike cloud up 2?
I just tied it to a a loop by the back vent I think. The new versions come with the extra loop.
@@SummitOrNothingthanks, will give it a go.
What about the Mongar 2? Where does that fit in your list?
I want to buy a cloud up 2 but cant decide between 20D and 210T do you have a preference?
Hi! I'm planning to buy naturehike tent for 2 person. Which is better Cloud up 2 or P-series?
Great review!
I'm planning to buy a NH tent need recommendation sir, i am torn between NH Cloudwing2 , NH Spider, and NH Cloudup 2 20D. thanks alot
On the vik 1 there are 3 eyelets on the poles for guy rope. 2 at one end and 1 at tuvver
Have you tried the nature hike Cirrus 2 ? It uses 3 poles and is fairly light.
Hey guys, and what about cirrus 2? If cloud up is so good as you say, cirrus would be great also, right? Some people say it’s is even better.
What tent are you setting up at 3:49 ? Looks like the cloud up 2 but mine doesn't have the small beam in the middle. Did you add it afterwards?
Do you have any experience with the Naturehike Bike tent? Thank you.
Did you have the Mongar at this point and where would it go on this list please?
Bloody good stuff as always.
Cheers Arran.
Great video and review, not quite sure you can say they are ultralight though
Yea, perhaps lightweight... the vik 1 is really light though.
That's cool that you have made some mods to your tent. Thanks for commenting, glad that you enjoy the videos!
Hi
Which is the upgraded version on Aliexpress, there are so many versions?
Would you consider testing the Cloud Wing 2?
Looking for a first tent for myself and my partner. Would you still recommend the Cloud Up 2? I think you ranked it based on your own usage as one person using it. Which would you use for two people?
I won star river 2 off you lads in comp great tent and had a small bottle of captain morgan inside cheers lads
So well done 'Summit or Nothing" for the lovely 'extra'
Thanks for the reviews. Much as I'm really tempted by the cloud peaks at 210cm in length there's not realistic options. I don't know if it's just me but tents don't seem to be designed for people over 6ft. Realistically with a sleeping bag it's even longer...
Yea - I am just under 6ft, and sleep curled up so not an issue for me, but many say how it isnt ideal for them. Sometimes they work better if you set up diagonally in a smaller tent - not ideal I know, but I have done it in the past!
Curious that you didn't rank the Tagar 2. Have you had it out on the moor yet? Would love to hear a report/review this summer.
I didnt use it im afraid.. I raffled it for charity unspoilt. Also, as it was last year I filmed that review I couldnt really remember it clearly enough to comment
Really nice top, so usefull 👌
Thanks Sebastian.
I made the mistake of getting the 1 man version, cloud up 2. As on the diagrams it had the bigger vestibule, still not a ideal cook area!
Wish I had of got your recommendation instead of trying to be clever.
Settled on the phox11v2 now🥰
The phoxx 2 is a great tent for the money too. I had one and also gave it away to subscrbers... sometimes I wish I still had it.
I have the cloud up 1 couldn’t ask for anything better
Great Top 5 Trev!
Cheers Max.
I just ordered the cloud up 3 cause I'm taking a girl camping and needed something luxurious. Found one on ebay new for only $103 in green. Might be the old version tho not sure
I had a cloud up 2 and now a Naturehike Nebula 2 both great tents
what do you think about Nebula? is it windproof as cloud up 2? I cannot decide between nebula and cloud peak...
Hi Mate, have you tried the Helm 1 compact tent?
Great videos man 👍👍 What do you think about the space for 2 adults with gears in the cloud Up 2 tent? We are 160-170 cm, not too big :)
Great review Trev, I can only common the peak two, thought it was a great solid tent, this weekend was the first time I used it, with stood the wind and didn’t leak, my only complain is the qualifying the zips, kept snagging every time I opened closed the tent
Yea those pesky bloody zips... kept doing the same to me too. Glad it held up though mate! Cheers!
Great info, but You stated that you bought the Dark Green version of Cloud Up 2 for stealth camping 🤔 but you then put High Vis yellow guy lines on it.😂
Valid point 😂
I've got the Cloud Up 3, for camping with my wife.
I almost got the Hiby, what do you have to say about It?
I have had no experience with the Hiby, but the cloud up 3 should be perfect for the two of you.
Seen thee cloud up wing looks interesting and also I have seen a Cuban fibre of it. But can't find many reviews
I'll look out for them. Cheers.
Cloud up 3 for one person, that’s absolutely nuts,
Thank you Mr Nath.
@@SummitOrNothing Ah, just your Naturehike tents - like in the video title then!! DOH! Apologies, but thanks for the response. I'll watch that previous vid - interested to see what you thought. Keep on camping 🙂
Can you compare cloud up 2 vs mongar?
So Cloudup 3 is in 5th place only because of it's size? Or is the cloudup 2 so much better than Cloudup 3?
This is my own naturehike tents ranked for how I use them, really, I guess. There's not a lot of difference in the two, although the CU2 has more anchor points in winds too, I think. Not sure, been a while since I knocked this video up.
I picked up a cloud up 1, although I fit it is a squeeze but debating a cloud up 2 but not sure if I want to carry the extra weight 😂
How tall are you, Stephen? I've heard that the Naturehike tents are shorter in reality than stated by the company. So, less than 210 cm long.
I'm not sure what the additional weight is... i have done vids on both, but the lengths may not differ too much. 🤷♂️
@@bidufree I hear a few people saying this. I do tend to sleep curled up so never had an issue.
@@JammyJerry Thats a shame you had issues with hieght. Im 5, 10 and never had a problem with it (I sleep curled up or in a smaller tent I tend to sleep diagonally). I reckon if you ebayed it you'd easily make your money back, though, if you havent already.
Thoughts on the Cloud up 1?
Trev how are you, what do you think of the vango cairngorm 200, I have it & love it 😁
Cheers ✌️
Have not tried it, Kevin - shall have to keep an eye out for one, cheers!
@@SummitOrNothing it's basically the nevis, but with some changes / improvements, 1 biggy ( well for ME) is the new moss green colour, I think it's a LOT more stealthy 👍👍
Whats the lightest naturehike 2p tent?
Interesting comparison, Trev!👍 Also proves just how bad you've got the tent buying bug 😁 All the best👍
Haha... all in the name of the channel, Des lol
Hi Trev, love the channel and your tent reviews are very informative. I was wondering what is your opinion on the 210T Cloud Up 2 vs the 20D Cloud Up 2, is it worth paying a bit extra for the 20D version or is 210T good enough for UK weather? Thanks
20d is better
