*I lost 120 pounds in 2018 on a Carnivore Diet, I maintained that in 2019. In 2020 I struggled with some weight gain and then lost it again in 2021. For the last few years I have been maintaining a healthy weight. In December 2022 I had skin removal surgery (tummy tuck). This channel just documents all of that journey and how our family lives normal lives and eats a meat based diet.

The way I cook this small pig in the oven is to give it a generous amount of salt, and then put it into a preheated 266F for 5 and a half hours - middle rack with another large casserole dish full of water at the bottom of the oven. After two hours I add a small amount of beer /16 oz/eu can into a casserole where the pig is. After 5 and a half hours, I put the temp to the max for another 15-20 minutes until the skin become crispy. We use to make it here in Europe all the time. I do carnivore weekends at my seaside house in Croatia, so if you ever wanna try the carnivore paradise 30m from the beach in the peaceful bay, let me know. :)

Wow! I’ve been to Botin twice about 15 yrs ago with my husband snd young daughter! Was incredible!!! Just fabulous!! We just loved it! About 5 months ago I was at a used store. So I could not believe I found a Botin vase!!!! Wow! Beautiful with the address and fantastic coloring! Best $10 I ever spent! It’s stunning! I looked it up on google and Botin does sell these vases! I am so happy because I had a fabulous time and now I have the little momento! I treasure it up right there with my lladros!!!! Great video!

I lived in Italy for three years with my family due to Dad being in the military. I wouldn't change a minute of the time I spent there (even graduated high school there) The food, the sights, the beautiful beaches and mountains!! You are sooo fortunate to be able to give your family this experience!! My grown kids are getting ready to celebrate their 10th anniversary (yes, my SIL is officially one of my kids) in Puerto Rico. I told them if they don't go to the Lechon Road, I'll be very disappointed in them.. lol.

Thanks for posting this. I loved this video for many reasons. First b/c u r 1 of my favorite carnivore content creators. Also I have a BA in Sspanish Lit., so there's that. We were early homeschoolers (started in the 80's!) which alllowed us to vacation off-peak seasons and bring all 4 kids with us. My work took us to Bermuda 3 times, Acapulco twice and Sint Maarten once, with many other domestic trips to CA, CO, FL, you get the idea. (We live in KCMO)This video took me back 25-30 years to those times. Best times ever. ENJOY!!!!!
Walking is wonderful when in a different country. What we stumble across is worth it. Daughter and I are off to Poland soon. Hopefully Carnivore is easy. Have been pure for 8 months now. Thx for sharing your exciting journey.

They have the same suckling pig with crispy skin here in Portugal! And we say, “Ola, Boa tarde!” for good afternoon in our part of the Iberian Peninsula…🥰😘 Octopus is amazing if you ever wish to be adventurous. You truly must visit Portugal during your stay. Not the Algarve - which is mostly Brits - but, further north where everyone still greets with a kiss on each cheek. 😉😘
Hey Laura! I just came back from spain, been on holiday. They have some very clean carnivore grocery items. Look out for Cortezas de Cordo pork crakle in yellow bag. Enjoy Spain! X :)

I've always thought I'd do well living there. I never use ice in drinks and I grew up eating dinner at 7:30 or 8:00 during the school year (unless there was an activity) and 9:00 on weekends. My dad was a coach and we ate when he got home after practices!

I would have taken leftovers in a piggy bag! We spent 3 1/2 weeks in Madrid 2 years ago near Cuatro Caminos station. We took side trips to Toledo, Segovia, Chinchón and Salamanca! Wonderful time! A week in Porto Portugal was also fantastic.
Yes, I agree! Given that they were basically in an apartment of sorts with a kitchen and presumably a fridge...

Your next destination for Pig is Vietnam roast Piglet, crispy, juicy and cheap Roast pork, even in the USA try one of the asian roast pork, especially try the piglet
What a wonderful experience. I was in Madrid for a week in 2021. We ate at Botin. It was truly amazing food! I even think we sat nearly at the same table on the top floor. It was fun watching you visit a few of the same places. Spain is such a beautiful country and every where we ate the food was beyond. I know you will enjoy your time there. It may be hard to leave. I certainly found it a very welcoming country.
Texas barbeque resturants are also carnivor heaven.

Hello Laura, would you make a video about how to deal with kids meals in a family of carnivores? Do you cook "regular" kids food for them, like nuggets, mac & cheese etc? I've seen vegetables on their plate. Do they accept vegetables well? How do they like meat? Do they have snacks throughout the day? Do they take "kids food" to school? Do you make birthday cakes for them? Thank you. I love your channel, you speak so clearly and you have a great personality.

I had the best time I ever had in Spain. I spent two weeks staying at a friends flat in Castellon de la Plana, right in the middle of town. I walk everywhere and spent hours at the local bars and cafes.
If you guys can get over to Valencia, there are two great places to go. The first is Morella, which is an really old walled city at the very top of a mountain. The second is Peniscola Castle.
This is the best learning experience for your kids 👌🏻🫶🏻

Next time try Lucio, its a very classic restaurant and they usually have bushmeat, I think is called in English, and his callos are superbe and perfect for carnivores. There is an argentinian restaurant called The Knife (I know there was the same in Miami), where adults pay 35.50 on the weekends and it is all you can eat. I think children have another price
