Chorrillos, Lima, Peru - Located within Lima, yet it feels like a totally different city, is Chorrillos, a fishing village. There’s a community of fishermen, a boat harbor, fish and seafood market, and even a man who makes fishing boats by hand for the village. It was fantastic to walk around the village, the fish market, and take a quick boat ride to get started.
We then continued walking through Chorrillos to a Peruvian Creole (Typically of Spanish descent, but mixed with Indigenous and Afro-Peruvian cultures), family who raises roosters and also cooks insanely delicious Peruvian seafood.
Here are the Peruvian food seafood dishes we ate:
Mixed ceviche - Raw fish, squid, scallops
Tiradito - Sashimi cut raw fish, yellow pepper sauce
Ceviche - Peruvian sole ceviche
Sudado - Peruvian fish stew
It was an amazing meal with some of the most complex and delicious ceviche I had during my entire trip to Peru, and some of the best Peruvian food I’ve tried. The view and setting were also fantastic.

Nakka :3 hola 😃 no soy peruana soy de Guatemala pero vivo en Miami Florida y tuve mejores amigos de Peru y entre a un grupo de danzas peruanas se llamaba Inti, sus integrantes solían ser parte del Valet folclórico del Peru y pues aprendí a bailar y pues como asistíamos a fiestas y eventos peruanos entonces aprendí también más su cultura y costumbres y a Comer la deliciosa comida que ud hacen 🤤 y me enamoré de Peru y toda su gente siempre fueron muy acogedores y agradecidos de mi presencia y aprecio a vuestra cultura! Dicen por ahí que yo Bailo mejor que un peruano! 🤫🥰 pero lo que pasa es que aparte de a ver tenido excelentes maestros de baile la verdad me encanta y lo hice siempre con mucho amor y respeto 💕 y ahora ya hace años que no bailo pero si tube la oportunidad de ir a Peru 🙏🏻😊 que Viva Peru y Guatemala 😊

All Peruvians are extremely passionate about their food. My fiance is Peruvian and when I went to meet her family her brother in law had picked out several Peruvian fruits and dishes to give me lectures on (he and his wife are both chemistry professors). Every vendor would be excited to show me a dish or fruit or something because it was the most Peruvian thing.
The chef is so passionate. Makes me want to travel to Peru just to eat at his place.

Have been there twice. One of the best foods in the world
My fiance is from there. Went to meet her family this spring, and every meal was amazing, from the home cooking, to street vendors and holes in the wall to the modern and eligante places. If you go to Ica (where the Nazca Lines are) the have Tacama, the oldest Vinyard in the Americas. We paid $40 for the day including the taxi, the extended tour and wind tasting with an English speaking tour guide, and lunch on the patio which had live music and a woman who danced with a horse. We had a braised beef, that was marinated overnight in their wine, in a cheese potato sauce, fried yucca, and the wine they recommend pairing with the beef, and a pitcher of fresh squeezed Pineapple juice. All that for what it would cost to get the 2 of us fast food in the states.
The guy making the ceviche is a class act. Hard working and friendly, would love to try his food.

I've been to Peru 3 different times, and I miss the food. I remember the view of Chorrillos from the Larco Mar in Miraflores. Great memories! The beauty of the ceviche is the simplicity of the ingredients. One of my favorite foods of all time.

I wish I could taste all that heavenly delicious seafoods in Peru. So fresh, colorful, and true nature. Wow. I love the peruvian chef Luis Casas, you can tell so much love he put into the foods he makes; anyone eat the foods he made are blessed.

El mar peruano es quizás el más rico y diverso del mundo por las corrientes frías y calientes, y la cantidad de plancton que alimenta a miles de especies marinas, el pescado y los mariscos abundan en todo el litoral, en los mercados puedes encontrar pescados como el bonito por menos de 2 dólares el kg y pescados como el lenguado que en otros países costarían 50 dólares a más el kg por la cuarta parte de eso, y recién sacados del mar, nada de congelado
En Lima Perú vas a la playa y Tu mismo lo pescas tu pescado y haces tú Cevichazo..

El sabor del cebiche Peruano es una explosión de sabores en tu boca, es un orgasmo en tu paladar. Solo los que saben de buena comida entienden lo que quiero decir. Nací y vivi en Lima hasta los 21 años y ahora tengo 50 y cada ves que voy a Peru se me hace agua la boca, llego con una lista de decenas de platillos que solo aya se pueden comer. Sin lugar a dudas lo que se ve en este video es arte culinario y del bueno. Thanks Mark for this amazing video, my mouth was watering and imagining my self in Chorrillos eating those dishes.

Nahhh, I truly enjoy eating handmade blue corn TORTILLAS, freshly made by talented women, with years Of experience in the fine art of Tortilla making. Ahhh I can just smell the aroma, with fresh salsa, fresh cheese and beans from the fields (breakfast). One of my favorites (of thousands of dishes). When I am in Spain, I miss Mexican food.

The Chef is like an artist applying paint on canvas. My favorite move is the cutting of the veggies and chili peppers then applying it to the pan. There is zero doubt in my mind that the main dish is tasty...
