On the liquids bag and not being comfortable with the mix, I actually get it - I use a small bag inside the big bag (all clear plastic obv’s) so that 1 is for make up liquids and the other is not. Easier to split after too (not that I do that until I am at destination) The trip looked amazing, knackering but great, well done for doing it solo too ❤
I’m always baffled if a skincare company recommends putting an oil on as last step of a routine. I’ve been using them for 20 years and always put them on straight after cleansing
Yes, of sorts. Water based products cannot penetrate oil. So, if you're putting an oil on then any water based products then the water based ones won't reach/ penetrate and, therefore, be absorbed by the skin. It's the phospholipid bilayer- hydrophilic/ hydrophobic. It might feel nice, but it won't allow the other products you put thereafter to actually do anything. Foundation may sit nicely, but that's not something you want to sink into your skin anyway.
Hi Khila, hope you are back safe and sound from your travels, I am definitely getting the Elizabeth Arden 8 hour hydrating mist for NYC xxx ❤
The dry eyes might be better because its hot? Using a heated eye mask is recommended for dry eyes to liquefy the olis in your eyelid margins
Safe travels on the way back!
Manchester Airport class lipstick and lip balm sticks as liquids!!!
I think it depends on the luck of the draw cause I’ve never not had a lose lip balm rolling around in my bag and it’s never been pulled on the scanner
Have a safe trip home x
Try the spray version. That works wonders. It doesn't make your makeup move either.

I just got through HK security and it was SO different .. didn’t take anything out of my bag at all!!!
Hope you have a safe trip home sweetheart ❤

But doesn’t the oil create “waterproof” barrier for everything else…
Nope. Not in my experience
I don’t see how it can cause I use oil under makeup all the time and it mixes well with foundation
