That fragrance in lotion hack has even more benefits! A dermatologist once told me that it's not the fragrance in products that hurt sensitive skin; it's the chemical that BONDS the fragrance to the product that is the culprit. So, fragrance away, Ladies & Gentlemen! This knowledge was a huge game-changer as the mom of two sensitive-skin (now grown) children.
Fragrance in products is still harmful to the skin according to many research articles. I'm highly allergic to anything scented, even if I simply breathe it in. Essential oils, flowers, gross scented products, and a lot of other things trigger hives for me, I also get migraines and my asthma starts to get bad. Just walking past the fragrance section of stores gives me hives and migraines, it's horrible.
@@mobstercrow7515 I experience some of those things too! I'm specifically talking about adding a fragrance that you know is safe FOR YOU to an unscented product. Totally different experience! I despise going to the cleaning product and laundry aisle in any grocery store. I could have worded it better.
When using a cotton ball to apply toner/astringent, I wet the cotton ball first and then squeeze it out. That way most of the toner/astringent stays on the SURFACE of the cotton to make contact with my skin instead of being absorbed and wasted! It's kind of the same concept as wetting your hair with clean water before going swimming. Once the hair absorbs clean water, it can't absorb the chlorine!
@tracyholden5787 That is a GREAT IDEA!!! I swear some of these hacks are so genius and I can’t believe I’ve never thought about them before! I’m going to try your hack when I get home from work and do my skincare! Thank you so much for sharing this ☺️💜
@@AbbeyYung I tried it last night and it did make a significant difference! It felt completely different than using a dry cotton round!! I’m definitely going to keep using that trick ☺️
I just watched one of your older videos, and I have to say while you have always looked beautiful, the warmer, darker blonde that you have in your hair now is SO MUCH more flattering to your skin tone than the bleached out ashy tone you used to have! I can definitely tell that your hair is so much healthier now, and your current hair color is perfection❤
Something I realized pretty recently is that doing my nails just before going to bed really helps not smudging the nail polish (also applying press-ons just before sleeping helps because the glue has more time to dry while my hands are not busy)
My #1 beauty must have are Velour Wrist Cuffs. When you're washing your face over a sink, they REALLY do soak up any water or liquid that has the potential to run down your arms and into your elbows. My arms remain dry.
@@q5130 You really need to rinse your face with water because water is the only thing that will remove any leftover cleanser or other debris. Using a washcloth will remove some cleanser or leftover makeup but you are essentially just wiping your face and dare I say potentially smearing some of it from one area to another. You're not really removing everything FROM your face unless it's being rinsed clean with water. I shudder when I see people just using a makeup wipe to remove their makeup or wipe the day's pollution off of their face because again, they are wiping and/or smearing rather than rinsing and removing. You also have to consider that your skin cells are always shedding and if you don't properly wash your face and then rinse them away, they will get impacted back into your pores and cause skin problems. Just think of it like when you've finished a meal, do you just wipe your plate with a cloth so it looks clean or do you wash it and rinse it off with water in order to thoroughly remove everything? Cheers!
I’ve got a tip if you’re someone who cuts squeezy tube products in half to get all the cream/product out!! After I fit both ends of the tube back together I’ll usually secure it with a duck bill hair clip or a normal hair tie and put it in a resealable ziplock bag to limit exposure to air. It really helps when there’s a lot of product left over and you don’t want it to degrade or introduce bacteria from the environment to it!!
I scoop it out with a butter knife and put it in a travel jar . I also have a label machine so I just print out a label to know what it is in the jar :)
When I'm done self tanning, I take my mitt that is mostly dry at this point, rub on my hands, in between fingers and to blend my wrists. Then I take a small pump of regular unscented lotion and rub on my hands, in between my fingers and on my palms. I swear to you, flawless color everytime! I use St. Tropez self bronze express as my fav self tanner.
You nailed it with the early tretinoin bandwagon. I started using it at age 13 for acne, and am still using it at 64. Fifty-one years of continuous use and my skin is aging beautifully.
Your jaw clip bun to sleep in has been a game changer -It keeps my hair up all night & doesn’t pull 🎉🥳‼️ Awesome hacks today - I use so many of your “tips & tricks”& product recommendations thank you Abbey ‼️
@@heathernaugle4661 Do your scalp and roots get greasier faster when you wear a bonnet every night ? I didnt´t use a bonnet until now, because I think my scalp and my roots will become greasier faster when I wear it the whole night, because the scalp doesn´t get enough oxygen..
I do the same type of bun at night, but I do two of them. Like cat ears, really high . That way, I twist in the direction I had curled my hair on each side. It keeps my style much better and is just as easy to sleep in.
The perfume in body moisturizer hack is genius! I felt it in my soul when you said that you love delicious smelling body care products, but all the good, effective body moisturizers are fragrance free. I tried using a body mist after I moisturize, but that smell lasts for a total of 3 seconds maybe. Will definitely try mixing it in before applying! Also, R.I.P The Body Shop, that made some of my favourite scents in their bodycare.
This is really similar to something you’ve already said, but at night, instead of using perfume or bodies spray in my unscented lotion, I love putting relaxing essential oils in my hand, and then mixing my moisturizer in. I love the scent and waking up with soft skin!
Excellent video, can’t believe how much I learned from watching, thank you! 2 possible hacks I’d like to add, both skin care related. 1. On top of adding either a scented skin care product or perfume (genius btw!) to your body moisturizer you could use essential oils instead. Don’t recommend adding any EO directly into the tub of moisturizer. The moisturizer acts as the carrier oil. Just scoop out the moisturizer you are going to use, add a drop of your favourite EO, blend together and apply like normal. I don’t believe it will provide anything more than aromatherapy but that’s not a bad thing. 2. Using 10% Urea in a moisturizer is amazing to use when battling Keratosis pilaris aka strawberry leg and the battle is real! You could use a moisturizer containing 5-12% lactic acid instead, sometimes that’s easier to find and cheaper. Some dermatologists recommend urea, lactic acid and glycerin in conjunction with a good moisturizer. Ask your pharmacist as they typically know the best product at the best price. However, some people are sensitive to this combo so be sure to do a small batch test before applying liberally. Either product or the combo are amazing at breaking down thick, hard and sometimes flaky skin (think backs of heals or elbows or etc) overtime if used properly and regularly. Love that it will help with self tanner “mishaps” too! That’s awesome! You truly learn something new everyday. Hopefully this is helpful to anyone who needs it but please know that I’m NOT a doctor. Just watch, listen and learn from a few favourite UA-cam dermatologists. ❤ from Shannon in Canada 🇨🇦
There are a couple of tips I have learned. For toner pads, store it upside down, so you will have a toner pad with a good amount of essence on top. I am not sure if this is a tip, but it is helpful for me. I would do my double cleansing and then apply the wash off mask or clay mask before I shower. Once I am ready, I would just wash off the mask in the shower and continue my shower routine. For me, it takes a while to rinse off the mask when I am leaning into the sink 😂. When using a waterproof sunscreen that is hard to wash off, use an oil cleanser first. If there are skincare products that are close to expiration and you want to use it up quickly, you can use it all over your body. One last tip I learned, it is good to apply your skincare down to your neck and upper chest. Those areas need some care too 😊. In regards to skincare products on lips, I tried that and then I got an allergic reaction ☹. My lips are fine with the oil cleanser, but that is about as far I can try. Good Light Taste of Space Lip Milk is a toner for the lips. I have been enjoying that and it tastes like raspberries. Then, I would apply other lip products over that.
I don't get curls easily, but since trying out this night bun, my hair gets more volume, and love the effect in the morning since I get the clips out of my hair, thanks for the tip
Putting pure glycerin on my body before getting out of shower. The key is to put it on when your body is wet because glycerine mixes with water very well otherwise it is sticky. As to the perfume in lotion hack, you can also buy perfume oils. Sand and fog has awesome one, and you can find them at tj max, and that’s easier to add to your lotion than spraying perfume
In addition to the "cutting containers in half to get more product" hack, I'd recommend cutting open some bottles with a serrated knife on your kitchen cutting board (for safety reasons). This works really well for those extra hefty plastic lotion bottles that have an annoying cap that won't twist off (I'm looking at you Vaseline Advanced Repair lotion and my fave Target brand equivalent!!!). I just run an 8-9 inch, serrated bread knife through both sides of the bottle at once until you're about 80-90% of the way through. Then you can either resume with regular scissors or just carefully take the knife through the single remaining inch or two of plastic. Also +1 to doing this halfway down any bottle so you have enough space to slide one end into the bottom of the bottle. Hope that's helpful to more folks!
@@AbbeyYungAlso, on your video, you’re putting the larger top part of the cut bottle into the smaller bottom part (the containers are usually wider at the top). If you do it the opposite way, (Larger top part goes over the smaller bottom part) this seals the cut container better, so it doesn’t dry out.
When you do the hair clip/bun, I do the identical twist and then use a mulberry silk hair bonnet. Not only does it keep the hair in place, the silk smoothes it so beautifully and it keeps the curls or bounce in my hair. Sometimes I'll use a long one and let my hair pool in the bottom, which creates gentle waves. The effect of silk on the hair overnight is just next level. Highly suggest giving this a try! I still use silk pillows as well :)
Yeah I bought a natural silk turban and I can see a big deference after 1 month! Real silk retains moisture in the hair and makes the hair shiny I love it
I am reading everyone's comments about cutting containers to get the last bits of product. I love it! I have been doing this for several years now. only thing I can add is that I make sure to have a little jar nearby. 1 I saved from some other product that is cleaned out and ready to use. I bought the tiny spatulas on Amazon and use them and just scoop whatever is in there into the clean jar. Then throw out the gross cut bottle. I write on the top or label it and use it till it's actually gone. I can stretch things for weeks further depending on the product. If no spatulas, a real spatula from kitchen works, or ur fingers in a pinch.
I mix my cetaphil cream with some of the sol de Janeiro Rio sunset oil to add both the scent and a little glow to my skin. It makes the oil last a lot longer. I Love it!
You can get a full, for me anyway, application of K-18, Stratia Interface, and any other pump applicator by popping the pump off and scooping it out with a mini-moistrizer spoon. It's not easy, but it's definitely worth it for the K-18😉💗
I’ve tried opening k18 and couldn’t do it. I thought maybe the container was one solid piece and you couldn’t separate the top. How did you separate? I always felt in my gut that there’s probably at least 1-2 more application sitting in there and it was so frustrating because it’s so expensive.
Squeezy tubes are my favorite packaging for this exact reason. Pumps are only satisfying when the product is full. They give up the ghost way too soon and it's hard to use the rest.
Have you tried airless pump jars? Amazon & other places have them. I've been using for nearly 10 yrs. I transfer using a clean mini spatula from tube or other container. That way the product is fresh I I figure out howuvh or many pumps needed. I also cut the original container as mentioned above and use same spatula to assist in transfer to decrease waist. Im kinda fussy about my product not being left to air or using too much. I'm a 45+yr RN and this carries over from work lol
Instead of keeping cut open tubes of product I buy airless pump jars for a couple of dollars on amazon and put my lotions/creams in those. It keeps them fresh and dispenses the product well and I can use every bit of product.
@@pocahontas521 I use tiny baby clips like toddler hair clips, super small and gentle, and I don’t clip them too tight to my scalp, I genuinely don’t feel anything and I’m a side sleeper! I’m a very still sleeper though
hey Abbey!! I have been watching your channel for a while now and I just wanted to say that I love your channel so much, I have learned so much by watching your videos! you are one of my favorites and I always appreciate your honesty and hardwork🧡🫶🏻 you’re so amazing!
Girl I LOVE your content! In addition to the dry paper towel for self tanner- which I also use on my knees and elbows- you can use a brush. Something soft and silky feeling on the skin to blend out the self tanner. I have one dedicated for this. It works and feels nice!
The last one with using skincare serums for lips are not recommended by dermatologists like Dr. Maren Lock on youtube. As she said they are not formulated for lips and as you know everything you put on your lips end up being in your mouth and swallowed. Also, Maren said that it can cause inflammed infections around the mouth and on the lips. So skincare products are formulated to be used externally ONLY.
i think she was talking about actives like a salycilic acid serum, that would be bad. a hyaluronic acid serum would be great for your lips as long as you follow it with a petrolatum ointment
Thanks for the tip! I've been wanting to buy castor oil to see if it works on my eyebrows and lashes. Have you tried it on yours? Do you have a recommendation for a good castor oil? Sorry for all the questions 😅🩷
@@JessieLee_ you are fine! I bought castor oil from a health store. It’s specifically for skin. When I get home I’ll comment back and tell you exactly what the brand is. I do use it for my eyebrows and eyelashes and it works great!!
Abbey, what a fantastic video! I always find your videos so incredibly informative and helpful but I can’t believe I haven’t thought about some of these super amazing hacks! I also saw so many comments with their hacks and I’m like okay I’m going to do this and this and this!!! Why have I never thought about cutting my products that are in the squeezed packaging, that is genius! I saw someone comment about dampening your cotton balls or cotton rounds first, then squeeze all the water out then apply your toner or essence! I’m definitely going to use each and every beauty hack you shared with us and in the comment section!! Awesome video as always ☺️✨💜
Omg watched your video as I was about to go to sleep and immediately tried the sleep bun curls hack. Barely woke up but my waves are so good I had to come here and comment. I have mostly straight hair and it gave me a blowout ish look! Thank you (: Also tried Pureology Colour Fanatic for the first time and you're right, it's amazing.
Can I say I love that you curl your hair inwards towards your face? I never see anyone else with layers do that and I think it looks so elegant! what’s your take on using bonnets for sleep styles? lately using my bonnet, my hair just ends up more crimped and flattened to my head/oily versus when I don’t use it lol but I feel like it does help with breakage :(
I have done the sleep bun for a few days after doing a low twist for years and I notice it helps with the VOLUME of my hair for the day too! thank you!
I would love someone to cover how to sleep with shorter hair that won't stay up like that. We still need to protect our style so not to have to use heat again
@@eliseraifman4766 It's hilarious, but I've used expensive bonnets and couldn't find anything comfortable. I found some at the Dollar Tree that are great! Comfortable and THIN (aka, not too hot to sleep in). At only $1.25 O don't worry about them lasting forever. Total game changer for me anyway😂
Hi Abbey the viral Scott Barnes lipbalm thing was a no go for me and many others😂, but before that and continuing I use a second layer of eye cream under my concealer. I am 52 with severely dry rosacea and eczema prone menopausal skin - dry dry dry. I use my great quality ingredients eye cream as part of my skincare and my spf thereafter. Once all that has settled in I can still be quite dry ( despite numerous layers of skincare and a rich moisturiser😢), so I also use hydrating primer on my face. Most primer isn't really something I want to use on the delicate undereye but an eyecream with light reflecting particles or a peachy tint (or both) that has dimethicone in the formula works really well and my concealer goes on so much better ( plus looks better longer into the day). If you're not so dry many hydrating concealers will look great, but I am so dry and often have eczema so my concealer needs are different from many other people. I'm not alone in having eczema however and age is irrelevant if your eczema is under the eyes and flared up. I hope that helps a few others out there struggling with dry cakey concealer 😂. Best wishes x
Cutting my Vanicream bottle now!!! Thanks for the tip! ❤Also, have you tried the satin hair bonnets while sleeping? If so did you like it? I want to get a satin pillow case but tend to sleep hot and prefer percale sheets. 😖
Maybe I’m the weird one, but I’ll never understand the self tanner thing. I think it’s never quite fully a human skin color, if that makes sense. It’s either slightly streaky or the slightest bit orangey. I never got into tanning beds or fake tanner. . I’ve embraced my ghostly complexion lol
Me too! I'm ethnically mixed and many in my family are dark. I inherited dark hair and eyes but pale skin. I tried the fake tanners to look like I'm not. Now, I rock the pale af skin.
This definitely depends on your undertone. If you’re cool toned but end up using a warm tinted self tanner, if won’t look like your color. There are some that you can prolong that summer tan you’ve gotten from a vacation by a little longer, but it takes research and it’s not for everyone.
Tip for the sleep style with better curls: instead of the one twisty bun, do two twisty buns (like space buns) on the top of your head and secure both with the mini jaw clips. Make sure that hair is brushed out before; I was absolutely shocked at the Hollywood curls it revealed in the morning without the annoying curling rods or other types of heatless curlers. I personally just leave them in for 2-3 hours after I wash my hair and before I leave the house, bit of serum and hairspray; done! It's incredible.
I like to add perfume oils to my body lotion. They are way less expensive than using spray perfume and it mixes in well. Oil perfumery is a good place to get dupes of popular fragrances in oil form.
Another thing I thought of regarding your hair is to try a sock bun. You’re already doing part of it when you put your hair up at night. Put it in a loose ponytail on top of your head. Grab an old clean sock -preferably a thick one- cut off one end, and roll it up into a tube. Put it at the end of your ponytail and roll your hair up in the sock as you move it towards your head. Secure with clips and sleep. Great loose curls in the morning!
I love these tips! I’ve used the small jaw clips (I actually use the mini size) to pull up my hair at night for a long time! You’re right. It’s so easy. I wish I could grow my hair as long and thick as yours!!!! I selfishly wish you had naturally curly hair because you’re the best hair care influencer here, but obviously some things are m different for curly hair and I wish I could copy everything you do!!!!
When cutting almost empty bottles, cut at a slight diagonal instead of straight across and the cut halves will more easily fit together to reseal the bottle while you're using the rest of the product up!
Urea in higher concentrations (10% and above) is an exfoliatant. So if you use it prior to applying self tanner, make sure it is intended for exfoliation. And if you're trying to remove self tan, follow the same advice.
As a hirsutism girly i’ll just warn others with the same condition about tretinion. In my experience I gained SO MANY new unwanted hairs permanently on my neck and jaw in the 6 months I used tret + it really didn’t work out for my skin (but I’m guessing it’s an individual issue). Epiduo dosn’t seem to give me the same issues tho
Abbey, can you please do a review of the Elizavecca Cer-10 Collagen shampoo and conditioner? Since you love the mask, i thought you may like the other products from the line as well 😬
In addition to the bun, I use a silk cap. It works wonders! The bun is a survival thing in Puerto Rico if you were born in humid and extremely hot climate. It always helped to keep the blowout.
I agree 100%! My hair is curly and keeping the frizz at bay is always challenge. But I find that sleeping on a silk pillowcase case tames the frizz like nothing else can.
Most lip balms don't work enough for me(and I can't stand the feeling of straight vaseline) so I'm always trying to figure out something that will sink in and work for a long time. About a year ago I randomly tried putting that Cetaphil moisturizing cream on my lips while I was doing my nighttime routine and it worked so well! It's now my go-to before bed or before I go outside in the dry cold weather. I bought a tiny jar to put some into and keep in my purse, too.
My bf taught me that hack super recently! He needed a solution to my pouting and running to him to help me squeeze out the product, so he cut it just like you do. Works out great! I also do the mini hair clips loose sleep bun but excited to try the little twist. I have added little drops of essential oil right to my body lotions and it works really well too. Love this video!!
What do you think about hot rollers? Or Velcro. Because people with wavy hair can’t air dry 80-90% then blow dry because it would be set and it’s hard to get the puffy hair smooth
Kristin Ess actually makes a "Hair Water" mist that is meant for re-wetting your hair to re-style! It dries super quick so you can just wait a few minutes and then re-curl that piece instead of having to completely wet it and blow dry it :)
Hi Abbey! Question about the sleepy tie. I bought one a couple of years ago after watching you demo it, and I really like it. I’m wondering why you stopped using it? Does it cause damage?
To go with cutting your shampoo, conditioner, whatever bottle in half...I saw someone cut it more towards the top, remove the application tip, put it at the top, and then push it down and empty the entire bottle of left over product in the bottle into a travel container or something you can store it in like little containers
When I was a flight attendant 100 years ago we would pull our hair into a scrunchie in the very front of our hairline and then put it in a bun we look like unicorns we looked ridiculous but in the morning we look like Farrah Fawcett
I pineapple my hair at night. Basically collect the hair in a loose roll at the top of my head and use one large clip to secure then sleep in loose sleep cap. Cutting open containers is a lifestyle not a hack then store in a ziplock. I buy the Hada Labo hyaluronic acid specifically for my lips, it lasts forever and under a moisturizing cream and topped with Vaseline my lips are happy!
Grippy gator clips for shower time. I tell all my friends this one when they ask for my haircare routine. I use it while section my hair in the shower and again when I'm letting the conditioner soak on top of my head. You can get an equate 6 pack for 3 dollars at walmart. I also give them my diagrams for hair care.
I use my moisturizer on my lips lol. Just wanted to mention to those that might have cold sores, Dr Idriss mentioned she uses glycolic acid on her lips but said if you have cold sores it can flare it up.
I have long hair, and i has a baby this year. Let me tell you, that first “hack” has been my go to and I’m so thankful because I was at a point that I almost cut my long hair. With that hair hack I keep my hair up and away from my baby’s hands. Thanks thanks thanks 🌷
My overnight blowout rods have been HEAVEN SENT!!! I went from heat styling 4-5 times weekly to just once when I wash my hair and it’s just been game changing for me!

It's a viral product in Korea and I've seen it popping up in Western markets. Can you please please review/share your thoughts on this affordable hair serum? Thank you so much 🤍🤍🤍
I feel like a beauty genius for knowing most of these already 🤓. Yay me! However it's a good reminder to implement them - like I completely forgot about cutting squeeze bottles in half lol. Thank you for the reminder!
Great tips! I have one too. Use your face care products on the delicate skin on the backs of your hands. Then top it off with your hand cream, or better yet castor oil!
Would love to see a series of shorts where you try out different overnight heatless curls and show us the results and rate them.. or maybe one longer video about different overnight heatless curls ☺️😉
Im going to go a step further and tell you that instead of cutting the tubes in half, cut the bottom end and slide the lid up there, w the smooth part toward the product! It remains sealed and squeezes the heck out of the last drop😊
L'Oréal Paris Glow Paradise Balm in Lipstick I have the driest lips ever. and this lipstick is super moisturising and beautiful. must try. and it is really not a bad price. lip basting with Weleda skin food and then a balm on top of that. and you Abbey you are the beauty hack of all hacks love you.
I’ve been doing the serums on the lips thing for awhile now. When I was on accutane my lips were so freaking dry it was insane so I used hyaluronic acid and sealed it in with aquaphor as like an overnight mask kinda thing
Don't do that. They are not formulated for lips. Don't forget that everything you put on your lips end up being in your mouth and swallowed. Use lip oils if you want to use something more lightweight than lip balms.
The majority of the product will be at the bottom, so i start cutting at the very top and work my way down. I use a Qtip to scrape the product from the sides if the container. Then I turn it upside down, so less air gets in.
You can also just apply cream and then spray perfume on moisturized skin, because that is what makes it last longer, not mixing. And with mixing you risk affecting the original formula.
Perfect timing. I was just wondering how you slept with your hair. Also, I am 64 and just starting your regimen. Love it. However I am noticing more hair fall. I am concerned! Any advice? Thanks
Tretinoin in the eyebrows and around the hairline! Dr. Dray recommendation. I used to avoid like the plague cause I thought it would sear the hair off my face. Now I have Hollywood brows (+ no flakes ever) and my bald spot is recovering lol
For me it’s mixing my bath and bodywork and Victoria secret creams with my Eucerine cream so they can last longer. Plus it cuts down on how strong they smell.

I use St. Tropez self bronze express as my fav self tanner.
ohhh good idea!!
You nailed it with the early tretinoin bandwagon. I started using it at age 13 for acne, and am still using it at 64. Fifty-one years of continuous use and my skin is aging beautifully.
Your jaw clip bun to sleep in has been a game changer -It keeps my hair up all night & doesn’t pull 🎉🥳‼️ Awesome hacks today - I use so many of your “tips & tricks”& product recommendations thank you Abbey ‼️
yessss! love so glad to hear that ❤
@@pocahontas521 When I do it they're on the top of my head. Plus I wear a satin bonnet so that does even more to keep them in place.
I do this too!
@@pocahontas521 I put mine up towards the top, not really on the sides or bottom.
I need to try this!
Also, R.I.P The Body Shop, that made some of my favourite scents in their bodycare.
omg right body mists fade SO fast
You have to try layering lotion, fragrance with a body oil… game changer !! ❤
This is really similar to something you’ve already said, but at night, instead of using perfume or bodies spray in my unscented lotion, I love putting relaxing essential oils in my hand, and then mixing my moisturizer in. I love the scent and waking up with soft skin!
that sounds so relaxing wow

Then, I would apply other lip products over that.
love these ideas!!
I don't get curls easily, but since trying out this night bun, my hair gets more volume, and love the effect in the morning since I get the clips out of my hair, thanks for the tip
yes love the added volume too so glad you're loving it ❤
Putting pure glycerin on my body before getting out of shower.
Hope that's helpful to more folks!
love this tip!
I use a satin bonnet to preserve my natural curls.
Yeah I bought a natural silk turban and I can see a big deference after 1 month!
Real silk retains moisture in the hair and makes the hair shiny I love it
@GinaMarieCheeseman satin is synthetic and really sweaty in summer which promotes fungal scalp dandruff 🥴
Can you please put the link of your mulberry silk hair bonnet in a comment ? ❤
Do the clips not hurt your head when your put your left or right side of your face on your pillow while sleeping ?
I Love it!
yesss love adding a scented oil too!
@MyshelLeAnn I used a pair of pliers 😂I really wish I could put a picture on here. The top, if you can grip it hard enough, twist and pull up!
@@DRVenard 👍THANKS SO MUCH…Will give it a good try!
stoppp I have to try
@AbbeyYung It's not easy, but there is a lot left! Good luck!
Squeezy tubes are my favorite packaging for this exact reason. Pumps are only satisfying when the product is full. They give up the ghost way too soon and it's hard to use the rest.
truuueee
Have you tried airless pump jars? Amazon & other places have them. I've been using for nearly 10 yrs. I transfer using a clean mini spatula from tube or other container. That way the product is fresh I I figure out howuvh or many pumps needed. I also cut the original container as mentioned above and use same spatula to assist in transfer to decrease waist. Im kinda fussy about my product not being left to air or using too much. I'm a 45+yr RN and this carries over from work lol

Dr Idriss uses an exfoliating serum on her lips.
@@shawnahare4299 she also always mentions that it can cause a herpes flare up.
i think she was talking about actives like a salycilic acid serum, that would be bad. a hyaluronic acid serum would be great for your lips as long as you follow it with a petrolatum ointment
I've done this with hyaluronic acid when my lips were severely dry and cracking open. It worked then when I followed with an ointment
@@LCL1979 not only using certain serums but touching the applicator to your mouth is not recommended by any dermatologist.

When I had shorter hair I swapped to silk pillowcases. It was the easiest option because it was hard to do overnight hairstyles.
@@paulitulove1508 I do a silk pillowcase however all my tossing and turning to still look awful the next morning.
Silk pillowcases and silk bonnets. I have curly hair and using both of these helps my hair last for days.

I hate fake tanners, too! I am so pale, but I hate the texture, the smell, the potential for mistakes, and the uneven fade of the fake tanners

Do the clips not hurt your head when your put your left or right side of your face on your pillow while sleeping?

When cutting almost empty bottles, cut at a slight diagonal instead of straight across and the cut halves will more easily fit together to reseal the bottle while you're using the rest of the product up!
This just reminded me of something! This book called “The Art of Seductive Power by Juliet Arden”. My confidence shifted in a whole new way.
I owned that shit until I fell for someone and then I was totally powerless
Urea in higher concentrations (10% and above) is an exfoliatant. So if you use it prior to applying self tanner, make sure it is intended for exfoliation. And if you're trying to remove self tan, follow the same advice.
As a hirsutism girly i’ll just warn others with the same condition about tretinion. In my experience I gained SO MANY new unwanted hairs permanently on my neck and jaw in the 6 months I used tret + it really didn’t work out for my skin (but I’m guessing it’s an individual issue). Epiduo dosn’t seem to give me the same issues tho

I like lanolin - the brands made for nursing mothers. Game changer for me.
One of my favorite overnight hacks is using jojoba and Vaseline to seal moisture into my lips. They will be soft and hydrated days after.

I sleep with a bun but using a sleep scrunchie. So my hair wraps around the scrunchie and gives me soft waves.

Abbey, I’m like you regarding fragrances. I absolutely love fragrance in my hair and on my body. I can’t wait to try your perfume spray hack!
