It’s amazing how once you really start diving into Waylons music and watch his live performances, you realize this guy was head n shoulders better than everyone else. And I love all the great legends, but for me, Waylon is easily the greatest. The charisma/stage presence, guitar picking, the voice. Wow.

My parents are in their 70’s now and we still talk about that unbelievable time we got to spend with Waylon and Jesse in their home.
I will turn 70 in June and this music still stirs my soul. When I was young, I could not understand why my Dad listened to Hank Williams Sr., Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys, Johnny Cash, etc. I went through my own metamorphosis as a teenager in the late 60's to early 70's, listening to Iron Butterfly, CCR, BS&T, Gary Puckett and the Union Gap and Paul Revere & The Raiders, The Animals, etc. If it was a phase, it never stuck with me. In the 70's / 80's, I listened "some" to Waylon and Willie but was not an avid fan. In the 80's / 90's, my tastes in C&W music turned to Larry Gatlin, Charlie Daniels, the Oak Ridge Boys, George Strait, Garth Brooks, Brooks & Dunn, etc. After Sawyer Brown, Travis Tritt, Chris LeDoux and Toby Keith, I lost most all interest in the "New Country". I cannot relate to it and (for ME) it feels to "rocky & rappy". Now, approaching 70, I have come back to the music of Willie, Waylon and the Highwaymen along with the C&W music aforementioned. Isn't it funny how time and age changes our perspective of life and our tastes in simple things (like music)? I will be just like my Dad and stick with the "old stuff" I grew up with, nothing new will be as good in my eyes.

Remembering Waylon Jennings on his Birthday...
*June 15, 1937 - February 13, 2002*
Mein absoluter Lieblings Country Sänger 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 es gab und gibt keinen Besseren ‼️‼️‼️‼️
This was the best version of his song... I mean, All his versions ruled, but this one just spun the lid off the jar!
Lol, nice way of putting it. Brewing something that goes in jars as I listen. Outlaw country always makes it come out better ;)
I couldn't agree more the guy is a legend 🤗👍
Totally, I agree, the best version, and no one ever gonna do a better one!
Notice not a lot of covers of Waylon’s hit songs? .... cuz no one gonna do it better ....
Yea this is one of his best songs

Hello how are you doing…?
Yes this good ol boy
Rock my 1985 days
And at 62 me still
Rolling along singing
A song

On 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇨🇦🇨🇦
These outlaw country guys are just bad ass dudes! Remind of my pops so much! Never complain just get r done!
Look what happened when they electrified hillbilly music. AWESOME!
Yep just a little distortion.......
This is a real artists, no auto tune no fancy back up singers . Just him and his band , he is the reason that country and rock artists are able to do things they won't to these days . He is the definition of a rock star with out the rock.
I have always loved his distinct sound.
Ya and to think the dipshits in Nashville didn't want him to play guitar on his records
I grew up listening to ol' badass Waylon. My mom would play his records alot . I liked him then and LOVE him now. I wish he was still here. RIP Waylon
Hello how are you? So sorry for the infringe on your privacy. Beautiful song.
I have tried to explain in words why Waylon is so good. But you really have to listen to him to find that.
It's something you feel that cannot be put into words.
Waylon was high and doing a great job long live the outlaw
I LOVE this song. I'm from Alabama and this is a "Damn the Torpedoes" kind of song! Prayin...
