That Marmalade Fisherman Polar is reference to Paddington bear because that color scheme in his hat and jacket. Also Paddington eats marmalade sandwiches. :)
Yes i was about to reference that too. 😁
Was gonna comment this
Oh yes!! I have Paddington 2 on 📀!!
Paddington was so obvious to me but was the movie only in the UK or did it get released elsewhere.
I was checking rhe comments in case someone else had referenced what I was going to reference
N. Gin's Ballerina costume is also taken from Crash Tag Team Racing. Just thought I'd point that out.
I can’t believe John Canada is sleeping on the job
Same as pushing boots pura and wooden doll n.trance are referenced to shrek
There's one you missed with Dingdile. It's the firefighter skin, it is reference in the end credits of CTR.
Facts
There's also another colored skin for polar that says Marmalade Fisherman polar. A reference to paddington bear
I know I'm kinda randomly asking but does anyone know a good site to watch newly released series online?
Maybe you can make a video how to beat all of Dr.n.tropy times
@@melerima2616 can’t you just buy nitros oxide edition? I think it comes with all in game unlocks including N. Tropy
Beach Coco's front hair bangs is also a reference to her Titans design.
i can see that too.
Skunk Crash could also be a reference to the skunk enemy you encounter in old crash games, as well as the talking skunk from Twinsanity.
Clown Cortex could also be a reference to Twisted Metal.
And you missed a big one, Musketeer Pura blatantly referencing Puss in Boots from Shrek.
I mean if you call it "All references" it should be all. Even those obvious ones like gladiator Tiny or diver Crash.
Not to mention Wolf Tiny, is not only a reference to the teenage wolf troupe, but Teen Wolf that popularized the idea, so yeah definitely worth a mention. 😉
Well he did say that he would make a part 2
@@DJDonnelly very true, woot. 😁
Musketeer Pura’s reference to Puss in Boots
He also missed that Gnasty Gnorc's Spyro Purple skin is a reference to Thanos.
You missed the obvious evil coco and evil crunch reference to mind over mutant.
my fav crash games (don't bully me for saying that)
Darth Nihilus it’s ok you’re not the only one who likes that game too
I though it was a refrence to the incredibles 2
@Banner Gusler in the incredibles 2 and one point some sort of googles that look like the evil coco and evil crunch skins googles
You missed Master Moe (Kamodo Moe) wearing Jedi Robes with glowing red swords.
3:02 It is also a reference to Doc Brown from back to the future.
Plus the kart that came out at the same time is a reference to the flying car in back to the future 2.
Polar also has reference to paddington bear
Pura has a reference to puss in boots from Shrek
You are aware that Puss in Boots is in more than just Shrek, right?
@@shellyvision9693 Yes
yep - Coco has Alice in Wonderland, Tiny has Thriller/Teen Wolf, Dingodile is from the credits/epilogue of CTR
@@GenGamesUniverse Teen wolf I get. But I personally don't get the thriller thing because it is not like Tiny is a zombie, he is a werewolf but whatever.
@@DJDonnellyThe reference to Thriller for Werewolf Tiny is based on the Music Video for Thriller, specifically during the opening to the music video where past (within the context of the music video) Micheal Jackson turns into a werewolf, the Werewolf Tiny skin has a lot of identical features, namely the black fur, the letterman jacket, the glowing yellow eyes, the jeans
You forgot Lab Assistant that References Where's Wally.
You mean "Where's Waldo"?
@@robinzenerd6882 In some countries (as in mine, Italy) "Waldo" was located as "Wally". Just for curiosity, I think that may explain K-Thrillz's comment.
Alberto Farfesani True, in France, is name is « Charlie »
Guy gets around so fast no one knows what his actual name is.
@@albertofarfesani3801 Yep, it's 'Where's Wally' in Australia as well. In fact, it's called 'Where's Wally' in the UK, which is the country that made the series.
One I think you missed is musketeer pura. It looks like it could be a reference to puss in boots from the shrek series
Or just Puss in Boots in general. I know the colour scheme is unique to Shrek, but the original story never specifies the breed.
Or The Three Musketeers themselves.
Puss in Boots is an actual fairy tale from France
Surprised you didn’t cover Dark Spyro
SKYLANDERS
I miss spyro (skylanders)
Liz’s Circus skin bears a striking resemblance to Sombra from Overwatch.
Or Reyna from Valorant
Tawna's witch custome is a reference to the popularity of witch mercy un overwatch
N-Trance has Pinocchio and Humpty Dumpty references 😋 loving the videos man keep it up
Don't forget about white N-Trance being a reference to darth vader's mask being taken off
Some references I’ve had months ago...
Dirt Bike Crunch = Master Chief
Racer Le Crunch = Charles Lecric
Circus Megumi = Harley Quinn
Circus Liz = Sombra (from overwatch)
Pink Musketeer Pura = Pink Panther
True that on the last one. 😀
Dirt biker crunch could also be 1993 Doomguy
I'd say the Circus Megumi skin is less of a Harley Quinn reference and more of a mix between Hatsune Miku and Harley Quinn.
Here's one you missed! The Witch Tawna skin is a reference to The Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz! I also feel that Werewolf Tiny IS a reference, specifically to I Was A Teenage Werewolf, where the main character wears a red varsity jacket (albeit obscured by the film being black and white).
Or Teenwolf, a very popular Halloween film.
Like yeah there has been a bunch of different versions of the Teenage Werewolf, with TeenWolf being a modern take on the concept, either be the original film from the 80's or the gritty tv show reboot, still the idea of the Teenage Werewolf is still in everyone's minds. 😄
Or the spoof movie from thriller.
Traveler lab assistant makes a reference to the book “Where’s Waldo?”
Green fixed Rilla Roo is obviously Hulk. ^^
I never thought of that and i like the Hulk. 😂
8:21 the victory animation is a reference to Iron Man
Big Norm and Small Norm have world of warcraft reference skins.
just because their orcs dont mean they're world of warcraft, elder scrolls has orcs, fairytales have orcs.
For the orcs!
@@jdrawstudios The pack containing those skins was littterally called " For The Horde "
3:01 Shocked you didn't link this to Back To the Future since it was released along side the probulot 2000 from CTTR which looks a lot like a Delorean.
The skin originated in CTTR thats why. Yeah in CTRNF it was also a Back To The Future reference but yeah
@@MelancholyJoker19 Gotta wonder, did BTTF or did CTTR come out first. If Back To The Future, who's to say the original skin from the old game wasn't also a reference to the films?
@@shadowphoenix1726 Problem with that is Cortex uses the Probulot 2000 and not Crash. Plus the car was a delorean not a hover car
If Crash's Mad Scientist skin is meant to reference Back to the Future, then I say it also makes for a nice homage to Universal, considering it's game's division that used to own the series.
Don't forget how Cortex insulted the Norms as clowns.
The pink pura skin could be a subtle reference to cheshire since it came out with coco alice
Penguin with a suit is like the Penguin from batman
Pink Pura could also be a reference to the Pink Panther.
What about the Coco and Crunch from MIND OVER MUTANT? and Nina as a doll??
He said there's going to be a second part in the video.
Maybe that was one of the obvious ones he decided to not do... like it’s just the name of their skin. I don’t know. I think it’s too obvious he didn’t miss it he just excluded it.
Nina as a doll could reference to Annabelle and the urban legends of possesed rag dolls.
@@emersonflorez97 Or to Raggedy Ann and Andy.
I will always love Werewolf Tiny because he references Michael Jackson
Or maybe that movie about a werewolf in high school starring Michael J. Fox. Here in Brazil the name of the movie is "Garoto do futuro" with u translate u will that it doesn't make sense.
teen wolf
@@gabrielperesbari2273 You're referring to Teen Wolf (1985)
Wouldn’t Gentlemen Penta be a Riddler reference? And if you’ve seen “Rise of the Guardians” Winter Guardian Spyro could be a reference to Jack Frost (it’s even in his name)
Also plausibly a reference to a Looney Tunes character, that had a striking resemblance to Gentlemen Penta, that i think was similar in a lot of ways, can't remember his name though. Yeah it was a circus performing Penguin that Bugs Bunny was trying to get home from one of the classic Looney Tunes shorts.
I think actually the penta skin is a reference to the penguin and not riddler in batman
Gentleman penta sounds more like happy feet dance moves on his victory pose.
The gentleman penta is a reference to the Penguin from Batman, isnt it?
I wanted that to be the case, but when you look into it, the green derby and cane would be more akin to The Riddler than The Penguin. Still, possible though. I shared your same thought.
At the same time... The Riddlers outfit is much easier to recognize than the outfit that The Penguin wore, so chances are it really might be a reference. Until we get an official answer, I want to think it is a Batman reference.
I thought it looked like Charlie Chaplin
I believe Polar's Marmalade Fisherman Polar skin is a reference to Paddington Bear, as marmalade sandwiches are Paddington's favorite food and the recolor matches his clothes color.
Aveattor crash (sorry if I spelt it wrong) is actually a reference to crash in his aeroplane in warped
Two other references
The icon of the clown cortex skin references the joker movie that came around the time
One of polar's skins references Paddington
Dr N Cortex: We live in a society
Yes, but the reference he had was also technically true, because Cortex did indeed grow up in a family of clowns.
Also, did you know the his full name is Doctor Neo Periwinkle Cortex?
Grumpy person:this is a dumb idea, who watch a Canadian guy eh video at midnight?
People at midnight:oh boy 12am! (watching a recent new Canadian guy eh video)
How could you forget about Marmalade Fisherman Polar?
Ninja penta penguin can be a reference to king pen from the skylander series
Expecting something special for Nitro Fueled’s 1st anniversary
I think we all are I hope it comes
When is it ?
@@moonlight...3754 June 19th
Actually June 21th
@@mraljfri770 thank you
Also, the mushroom in Alice Coco's victory animation is from Crash Bash, specifically the Mallet Mash minigame and the Pogo Painter Crystal Challenge. In the latter, they were hazards that would trigger an instant loss if the player touched one.
Quite a few missed, just off the top of my head:
-Ballerina N. Gin is also from TTR
-Marmalade Fisherman Polar is a clear reference to Paddington (with color of clothes and being named "Marmalade", his favorite food)
-Metal Head Oxide taking clear inspiration from the band KISS (Could be a general thing but they're always the first that comes to mind)
-Devil Dog Zam likely being based on the Devil Dog enemies from Spyro
Could the skunk skin also be a reference to the skunk from Twinsanity?
It's possible... 🤔
I really hope there's a new update soon.
Alex Tedder After crash 4 its a out time maybe
You missed a lot, especially skins referencing other Crash titles, like Ballerina N.Gin or Evil Coco/Crunch for example, but that's ok :) More options for part 2 (though calling this video "All" kinda gives a wrong vibe). Anyway here are some you can add to part 2:
- Marmalade Fisherman Polar -> Paddington (blue coat and red hat)
- Musketeer Pura -> three Musketeers and Puss in Boots
- Reindeer Crash -> Rudolph the red-nose reindeer
- Small & Big Norm -> Orcs from either Spyro or WoW
- Humpty N. Trance -> Humpty Dumpty
- Wooden Doll N. Trance -> Pinocchio
- Black Velvet Witch Tawna -> The Wicked Witch from Wizard of Oz (green skin)
- Frank N. Brio -> Frankenstein's monster
- Ragdoll Nina -> Pippi Langstrumpf
- Traveler Lab Assistant -> Where is Waldo/Wally/etc.
Bonus, since I can't confirm it, but based on the costume make it a strong possibility: Motorsport Liz -> Danica Patrick
GREAT
...but you missed X boxes, er, references.
For real, great job on this, but there are tons more even if you have to mention tropes. I feel like it would even be better to include them rather than exclude them, but that’s just me! 🤗
Clown Cortex is also a reference to the Joker...I mean, it's a meme.
Hacker Lab Assistant is a reference to Matrix (And Twinsanity's beta as they'd appear dressed like that).
Mad scientist Crash is said to be a reference to Emmet Brown from Back to the Future.
Neon Nina might be a reference to the singer of the band Ghost.
That Penta outfit is also a reference to the TWoC penguins.
Doll Nina is an Anabelle reference.
Werewolf Tiny might be a reference from Twilight.
Fisherman Polar is a reference to the kid from It (The movie).
Electron Crash might be a reference to Flash.
Green Cortex might be a reference to Hulk (I've read that Red Cortex is a reference as well, but can't remember the character name...Redhead or something like that).
Blue Cortex might be a reference to an Ice character from Guardians of the Galaxy.
Anime Cortex is a reference to...well, anime.
General Tiny might be a reference to the Tank wars minigame from Crash Bash.
Lynx Coco could be a reference to the lynx from Sonic.
Evil Coco and Evil Crunch are from MoM.
Painter Dingodile might be a reference to Pogo Padlock (Remember the Crash Paint truck on the back, with purple paint stains?).
The Rustland skins are said to be a Mad Max reference.
Pura has a Puss in Boots reference (Or El Zorro), also I heard Sabertooth Pura is a reference but can't remember it relly well, a Pokémon it was, I think.
Penta Blue Jay a reference to Mordecai from Regular Show?
The Spyro GP skins.
Negative Pinstripe might be a reference to Scarface as well.
Robot Crunch is an Ironman reference.
Motocross Crunch might be a reference to that Xbox character I can't remember.
Clownfish Nash and Nemo?
Humpty Dumpty N-Trance...
Wooden Doll N-Trance is Pinocchio.
Space Liz is a reference to a meme (It's over 9.000!)
The purple ! Box is a reference to Crash Bash
You forgot that Monster Fake Crash is a reference to the Sludge Titan from Titans. Similar moves and all.
I didn't think of that, i thought it was more of a blob/toxic avenger reference. 🤷♂️
Clown Cortex is also a reference to CNK when Big Norm says he looks like a clown
Clown Cortex looks like Wereclown Dexter from Dexter’s Laboratory
Actually it's Pennywise the Dancing Clown from IT
@@samjaxwhistler It's really not.
@@zeddarks6378 Really? Aww. I thought that was pretty good. :(
@@samjaxwhistler Easy to mistake tbh. I hope you didn't take it personally
Pinstripe's negative skin also resembles the gangster movies from the 30's, since all of those were filmed in black and white, hence the negative name.
Also to add on, it could be a scarface reference with its black and white character. Its even a referenced in Hot Air Skyway
I noticed something funny. Blue Cortex skin. It's colour is the shade of periwinkle blue. Cortex's whole name is Neo Periwinkle Cortex.
Also, ever since the game's launch, for the strange reason Blue Cortex reminds me of Dr. Drakken a bit.
The only two skins from CTR are
Marmalade Fisherman Polar = Paddington
Tawna Witches = Wizard of Oz/Oz Great & Powerful (Witches)
I always thaught Polar has a Paddington Bear Skin.... because of that yellow jacket.
Whoa! Wasn’t expecting a video so late in the day am I right? A welcome addition to my watch list though!
Witch Tawna (particularly her podium animation) is a reference to Samantha in the opening of Bewitched.
A for effort from a fellow Hispanic on the attempt of saying day of the dead in Spanish
I thought the armoured polar was a reference to the ones in the His Dark Materials Trilogy?
Or Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.
I thought it was a Skyrim reference
@The Krookodile Hunter the golden compass is a movie based off the first book in the His Dark Materials trilogy (called Northern Lights)
I want them to remake Twinsanity. And not just remake it. Completely finish the game with all the removed things like Evil Coco
Missed ones are:
Marmalade Fisherman Polar: Paddington Bear(and in the fur colour, Winnie the Pooh)
Master Moe: Obi-Wan Kenobi
Dark Spyro from Skylanders(not Legend trilogy, the Dark Spyros look completely different in these iterations)
Hacker and Traveller Lab Assistant: Neo(Matrix) and Waldo
Green Fixed Rilla Roo: Hulk
Monster Fake Crash: Sludge from Titans games
Firefighter Dingodile: Okay, maybe this shouldn't be counted, but take a look at Nitro-Fueled's epilogue in the end credits
Rustland Tiny: His skull mask has GREAT resemblance to the face paint and blue mohawk seen in Rage 2's box cover
Star Crash: redesigned version of his skin in CTTR, which in turn is Star Trek reference
Ballerina N. Gin: CTTR skin
Black Velvet Witch Tawna: Wicked Witch of the West
Kamodo moe had a jedi skin
Another one of Polar's skins is a reference to Paddington Bear.
This is a great idea as I do wonder how some of these character skins are picked and what they reference. Keep up the good work on this great worn idea. I mean even I want to know if Nina Cortex has a few reference skins/character costumes.
You forgot that General Tiny may be a reference to his appearance in Crash of the Titans.
CanadianGuyEh : You missed the following:
1-2. Evil Coco and Evil Crunch that were taken directly from Crash Mind Over Mutant
3. Beach Coco has her hairstyle from Crash of the Titans
4. Ballerina N.Gin is from CTTR
5. Dingodile has a firefighter skin based off his epilogue from CTR's credits
6. Ripper Roo has a top hat skin with a mustache and cane as a nod to the one he has in Crash 2
7. Lab Assistant has a Where's Waldo? skin
8. Marmalade Fisherman Polar is reference to Paddington bear
9. Humpty N. Trance is Humpty Dumpty after cracking his head
10-11. Small Norm and Big Norm have World of Warcraft skins
12. Liz's circus skin resembles Sombra from Overwatch
13. Dark Spyro skin is the Skylanders take on Dark Spyro from Legend of Spyro The Eternal Night
14. Spyro's superflame and ice breath skins are his powerups from Spyro Reignited Trilogy
15. Musketeer Pura is a reference to Puss in Boots from Shrek 2
16. Professor Crash from CTTR is also a reference to Back to the Future with the Probulot 2000
17 Dirt Bike Crunch resembles Master Chief from Halo
18. The Lab Assistant's Hacker skin is based on The Matrix
19. Devil Dog Zam is based on the Devil Dog enemies from Dark Passage in Spyro 1
And you should have included the skin references taken directly from NST including
20-22. Biker Crash, Scuba Crash, Aviator Crash
23-25. Prince Lab Assistant, Knight Lab Assistant, Lumberjack Lab Assistant
26. Gladiator Tiny
27, Pharaoh Cortex based on the Cortex sphynx seen in the Egyptian levels of Crash 3.
Emperor Velo Space Pirate Skin reminds me of Captain K. Rool from Donkey Kong Country 2.
which also makes more of a connection between the two franchises since Naughty Dog recreated the hub world of Diddy Kong Racing as a test for the original CTR
Similarly: Crash's Blue Hyena skin reminds me of Sonic The Hedgehog
In a similar boat, Clown Cortex reminds me of Needles Kane (Sweet Tooth) from Twisted Metal III
Happy Bandicoot Month everybody!
much like Tiny, Papu Papu and N. Brio have Street Fighter related skins in the form of their Green and Fire Wizard recolors (being based on Blanka and Dhalsim respectively). The Lab Assistant's Lumberjack skin is an obvious reference to Mario right down to the Donkey Kong style mallet on his victory screen. His Traveler skin is also based on Where's Waldo and his hacker skin is based on Morphius from The Matrix. Fixed Rilla Roo's green skin is directly based on The Incredible Hulk. Also not sure if this one intentional or not but Gnasty Gnorc's purple skin kinda resembles Thanos.
Also the Lab Assistant in his Lumberjack Jack gear was an enemy in Crash 2 and the whole point of him being there was a mario reference, he even uses a hammer.
You said „did I miss ANY“ hilarious
one of tawna's witch costume recolors is a reference to gruntilda from banjo kazooie.
A quick reference for dingo is his firefighter outfit. While it's only a minor reference. It's in to the end credits of CTR where it shows what the characters were up to after Racing. Dingo put down his flamethrower for a high powered water hose and became of course a firefighter
To be accurate about that Clown Cortex part:
As stated in Wrath of Cortex strategy guide, Cortex comes from a family of clowns and he wasn't interested in clowning and making people smile. Instead he spent time reading science books. So his mean siblings force tattooed that N on his forehead, standing for ''nerd.'' And he was three years old when that happened. And then the freak ''accident'' happened that blew up Cortex's family to smithereens(save for one since Nina exists since she is Cortex's niece after all). At the age of four he enrolled to Madame Amberly's Academy of Evil and the rest is history. Except for the fact there was another freak ''accident'' when once again bullied Cortex was in high school when the whole place blew up just ''conviniently'' when he and N. Brio were two miles underground in an abandoned plutonium mine during the ''accident.''
But in other words, that Clown Cortex victory animation clearly shows how much he HATES his background.
Is Nina his niece or daughter? Pretty sure they've left that vague.
Cortex’s Clown skin is also a reference to Crash Nitro Kart where he called Big Norm a filthy clown. Maybe it’s Big Norm’s payback.
N Gin’s Ballerina skin is a reference to Crash Tag Team Racing
Polar’s Fisherman skin is a reference to Paddington Bear and his recolour Marmalade Fisherman takes it more further by giving him the same colours as Paddington himself.
Wizard Komodo Joe’s skin is a reference to the purple robed wizards from the first Spyro game.
Pinstripe’s purple suit skin could be a reference to Crash Twinsanity.
Captain Velo XXVII is a reference to John Silver from Treasure Planet
Traveller Lab Assistant is a reference to Where’s Wally?
Green Fixed Rilla Roo is a reference to The Incredible Hulk
Could Ragdoll Nina be inspied by Ragdoll Productions’ 1985 logo?
Maybe Hacker Lab Assistant is a reference to the black clothed Lab Assistants in Wrath of Cortex
If Megumi got a Cosplay skin, would it be based on Sailor Moon. A nice nod to Stephanie Sheh, who voiced Usagi in Sailor Moon Crystal English dub.
I think Komodo Joe’s Green skin kinda makes him resemble Sir Hiss (Robin Hood 1973) in his blue clothes.
Very good, even better than i would do. 👌
Also there will be a part two, can't expect CGE to cover all 50+ characters in one video eh..
Boba Fett How about a Coco Bandicoot skin called Rocket Coco? It could be a nice little nod to how Debi Derryberry voiced Jimmy Neutron. (The Derryberry Family doesn’t have a coat of arms in case you’re wondering)
Velo's pirate skin is a reference to Treasure Planet! It also looks similar to Captain K. Rool from Donkey Kong Country 2. (Which is worth nothing since crash shares similarities to the DKC series.)
I just wish another update comes.
N. Trace's Yellow Skin is a reference to Egg Fu the Supervillian of Wonder Woman from DC comics.
6:40 I actually thought it was a reference to the Golden Compass movie.
Now that you mentioned Disney they will notice and copyright-strike CTR
Evel Knievel's son, Robbie Knievel, appeared in one of the commercials promoting Crash Bandicoot: Warped
If there’s one reference I’d love to see is the 1997 Universal logo during the title screen.
No, crashs skunk skin is referenced to the skunk in crash twinsanity
Man, Cortex has a harsh backstory. No wonder he's evil
Ami's circus costume is a reference to Mary Poppins, I think
I think you missed General Tiny which is refference to Crash of the Titans
Coco's summer outfit also has the same hair style that she had in Crash of the Titans :)
The skunk could also reference that one skunk you spin into the nitros in Twinsanity that refuses to walk back and forward
Zem's prehistoric outfit Is a reference to the flintstones his winning podium even has the wacky sounds they use
Marmalade fisherman Polar's clothes are a reference to Paddington, while his yellow fur personally reminds me of Winnie the pooh. I think it's a double reference
Also, Musketeer Pura most likely references Puss in boots
Yaya's blonde skin (Cupcake I believe) looks like Tiff/Fumu from the Kirby anime.
Zam Bulldog always looked like an obvious reference to Earl from Rocko’s Modern Life, to me. 🤷🏻♂️
I am pretty sure that the traveller lab assistant is a reference to "where's wally"
yeah good spot!
I'm just glad you said tiny is a tazmanian tiger because people still argue with me about it
Another reference someone pointed out on Instagram is another one of coco’s skins looking similar to shantae from the video game series. That one may not be true but the purple and orange colour scheme doesn’t seem that coincidental.
The Space Spyro skin is a reference to Figment from Journey Into Imagination at Epcot.
Looking through those skins.... it made me think how we all unlocked them... instead of unlocking them via challenge, we had nothing but money grind instead.
I kinda wish we had "challenge series" or "mission series" like from...... game i used to play in the past (King of fighters maximum impact on PS2) and that game had missions, which when you beat them... you unlocked alternate costumes for the characters.
Now imagine... challenges like get 700000 point on ring rally at hot air skyway would give you lets say, Pinstripe's legendary skin alt 2 for example. I feel, that would be more satisfying and rewarding the player... then the simple grind.
But then again... im kinda stuck with the mentality of older games, so the opinion on the matter is surely biased, so anyone reading it, please take it with the grain of salt. ;)
Komodo Moe has a Jedi skin
Also Cortex's red, blue and green skins are a reference to his boss fight from SB1, they're the color of the shots he fires
The Star Crash may be an indirect reference to the Trekie Crash outfit from Crash Tag Team Racing since they both have a reference to Star Trek uniforms
polar's fisher skin reminds me of georgie from the movie IT.
Well, Winter Tawna is a reference to Cindy Lou Who from "The Grinch" and Neon Circus Ami is a reference to classic CTR.
You forgot polar's paddington skin
There is one you missed it's the marmalade fisherman polar skin and it's a reference to Paddington the bear(he's the main character in the movies Paddington and Paddington 2),and since Paddington loves marmalade, its certainly a reference.
Here’s some references I noticed that no one has brought up (some of these may be incorrect)
Princess Coco’s winning animation references Snow White
Penta Gentleman might be referencing both The Riddler and The Penguin from Batman
Mad Scientist Ripper Roo is a reference to Back to the Future
Red Cortex and Baby Cortex might be a reference to McDonald’s
Green Fixed Rilla Roo references The Incredible Hulk
Lumberjack Lab Assistant is a reference to Jumpman from the Donkey Kong arcade game
I kind of already knew one of Tiny's skin almost looked liked M. Bison from Street Fighter
I honestly thought that was a reference to a USSR general
That was a reference that i was quick to mention when Canadian Guy Eh streamed the latest patch
Big norm and small norm have wow related ones. They had a pack with the skins and gnasty that said "For the horde!"
Also, dunno if a ref but Liz's neon circus skin definitely gives of Sombra vibes from Overwatch
I think N.Brio’s fire skin may be a reference to firebenders in Avatar: The Last Airbender
I don't think so. Looks nothing like the firebenders. Just a plain and simple fire mage from a fantasy world.
Theres a skin for fake crash which came out during the spooky gp. Monster fake crash i think hes called. If u watch his victory animation he does the same movements and has the same appearance as the sludge titan in crash of the titans
