Good one Christopher - I've also just migrated to Blender 3.3.5 & Asobo 1.3.0 this past week. I was forced to upgrade as I've been away for a few months and when I loaded an earlier Blender 3.1.2 scenery file and tried to export it using good old MSFSToolkit 0.41.4, it no longer worked properly as transparency was MIA on all glass, etc., no matter what I tried. Not sure which sim update killed it as I've been away since last October.
Anyway, here's a couple of things I've learned from this new Asobo 1.3.0 setup. If you have older MSFS materials in the model they must be migrated; if not exporting completely fails, like in your export screenshot. Asobo apparently has rewritten 1.3.0 to be more compatible with Blender nodes structure. As such, no previous MSFS materials will export (even though they would still work properly). This is going to be a bit of a nightmare for those of us who have conjured up multiple scenery areas/objects and may need to tweak/update them in the future. Asobo should have included some if/then programming code to allow legacy MSFS materials to still work. Oh well.
The 2nd thing is there seems to be a missing option using the _Multi-Export gltf 2.0_ tab that you use. I don't see the _Include: Selected Objects_ option. Instead, I export using _gltf 2.0 (.glb/.gltf)_ via the File/Export menu. It includes the Asobo exporter but displays the _Selected Objects_ checkbox option. Go figure.
    Regards from spontaneous-combustion-temperatures Thailand!

Hey Jimbo! Glad to hear from you again! Yes, migration of materials is quite important...I did a video on that after upgrading to 3.1.
One of the issues you might have had on exporting 3.1 was using the old toolkit 0.4.0 (Blender2MSFS...non Asobo exporter) was that the exporter was not fully compatible...somethings worked, some didn't. You would have had to replace it with Asobo's 1.1.6 exporter.
I really want to test the new exporter with material nodes for sure.....hope someday Asobo will make it fully compatible with Blender, meaning, using material nodes and geometry nodes, etc...
So good to hear from you.
Stay cool and safe in SE Asia buddy! Today we have chances of severe weather (tornadoes)...Great Lakes area of the US.
      Peace and Joy!

Thanks for the update, recently I discovered (the hard way :), like two days of pulling my hair off to be more specific) if you are baking textures the objects might show in the sim black color. To fix that, go to the same settings menu , under Geometry make sure you have Vertex colors unchecked.

A note of caution using v1.3.0. 1.3.0 can create false animations (one per node) and could interfere with the correct animations you have made in the NLA tracks. This is important using animations with Worldscripts as they expect only the real animations to be present. I use 3.1.2 and 1.1.6 for animation work and 3.3.3 and 1.3.0 for normal msfs models

hello there sir thanks for the amazing videos i learn a lot from them. Am just wondering if you could make a video on the step by step of making an airport using the sdk using the latest sdk. For example file structure and exporting from blender. when am in the sim and in sdk i caint find my objects i have mad even tho there in the model lib folder and the package has been built

If I open an older blender file I need to actualize the material in the MSFS Material Tab. Sometimes I clean the model with the Clean up option in the file menu of blender.

I don't seem to gain any xml output file, that can be used as a package source. I get the textures, the .bin file and .gltf , but no XML like it did with the pre Asobo MSFS tool.
Yes, would be great if you did a vid showing exporting, obtaining the files produced and showing them, then showing how to import in your scenery project, please 🙂
Thanks so much for the hard work, and great tutorials. This is such a great hobby.

Go to the Multi-Export tab on right, There are three tabs. The first one has the collections options and there is a "Generate XML" option.

Thanks for these suggestions. I updated my Blender to the one you suggested. However I'm still getting failed export. I have the exporter you suggested and used it.
I've been trying to export for a year without any luck. I'm trying to export a farm house. My blender won't even export simple boxes.

Did you export via menu or by the tab right down? I use multi export glt right in the tools. And you need to use collections called with LOD and numbers and rescan in the tool to see the LODs. It's not difficult and works all the time. I only had problems with lights.
And in my opinion, it is easier to use the old 0.40 exporter, but the material settings are not complete in this exporter.

In the Edit/Preferences menu, do you see the Microsoft Flight Simulator addon? And do you see the Multi-Export glTF 2.0 tool in the right menu? A lot of questions to ask to pinpoint the issue. Also, are you a member of the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 SDK and Scenery Facebook Group? Posting your issues there will get you responses to help figure out the issue you are having.

does msfs addon support blender 3.6 version.? i failed to install addon.

3.6 just came out. I'd hold off on using it until Asobo can make sure the exporter is compatible. Really no need to always update Blender right away. Most Blender changes do not apply to MSFS. Most of us are only using 10% of the power of Blender for the Sim.
