Definitely putting this together! Gotten into competitive play several months ago but this was great in helping learn the game more in depth/motivating me to go back to locals. Any way skill drain can fit into this as a side deck option? I’ve seen a few builds do that
Skill drain is definitely usable in the deck. Traps are usually not an issue. The exceptions are imperm, evenly and typhoon which are usually used before you start your plays. Skill drain and other traps are usually used once you've already done your combos so they usually don't conflict with the SHS stuff. I'm glad I could help! 😁 Thanks for watching!
I like this version, has a lot of gas which is great in a heavy handtrap format like this, and honestly i love the superheavy and fire king cards, they have drawbacks? Of course, but that's how is suppose to be, I don't know, i think we are so usual to broken cards like Circular that we kind of lost track that cards should have a drawback. And i have the melodious cards, and in my opinion this synergies better, the melodious pure it's also a good option for budget players (btw 1st movent solo sucks, don't pay that card price), but with snake-eyes is super fragile, and don't the flexibility that ShS has. Maybe i take a deck like this to Brazil national, i gonna test with kashtira if the field spell gets really cheap. But has budget player (broken 😂😂) this is absolutely on my list. Congratulations on the video, was a real masterclass on this, for real, really appreciate. Btw have you see Jarid video on a deck similar to this, but without fire king and using the other SHS starter lv4 and sauravis, looks very interesting also, if you find on UA-cam tell us what your opinion if have the time to test. Also what about S:P, i know super expensive, but how much off upgrade priority would be if you had the money to buy? Appreciate 👏🏽👏🏽
Ty so much for the kind words! I agree with basically everything you said. S:P is basically a strict upgrade and enables a few new combos. The reason for that is because you can use it to banish infernal flame for 1 extra body. I haven't actually tested with it because I can't afford it, but as far as I can tell S:P is really really good in this deck
I have seen the Jarrid deck profile. I really like it. It seems tight and compact. Obviously the banned cards would be replaced with omega dis pater. Also I would personally replace the 3 wagon with 3 parallel exceed. I just don't like rank 4 starters that use your normal summon. Honestly I've never tested the pure version so I don't wanna give an opinion on the deck. If I had to guess though both versions are about the same power and you should play the one you prefer. I might build it on edopro and do some testing so I can give an informed opinion.
i'm actually testing a version with the melodious package. You basically do the ostinato combo and then do banshee just like with SHS, what i like about this is that i can run S/T cards. I play a pure version to have more non engine, but a FK version could be very good too!!
Yeah we've actually had this conversation a few times in my comment section. I believe refrain conflicts with the normal summons so I don't think the melodious stuff is as good as SHS just yet. Maybe with more support!
YES! wanted moves OSS out of the grave for your SHS cards. Witch is a monster so you can use it without worry. If u start witch SHS starter you go witch set OSS then go into your shs negate of choice(rafflesia/regulus) then pop off with OSS cards. Doesn't lose to droll either cause droll leaves you with 3 bodies and OSS to summon ash which can then go into oak/flamberge and full combo from there. Srry for the essay response 😅
Yeah but unfortunately that package doesn't synergize as well with snake eyes as superheavy samurai does. Those people playing it just don't know about SHS Snake eye or don't understand how strong it is
I understand SHS if you don't have Bonfire/Diabellstar since it doesn't take your normal summon while giving you your Starter. Also, i understand it over Melodious cards if u want to play the Fire King version. But Ostinato/Normal Summon Refrain is way better as a starter for "Pure" Snake-Eye than Wakaushi/Motorbike honestly Normal Refrain gives you Apo 1600ATK + Banshee + Draw 1, Ostinato gives you at least the same + Schuberta while not taking your Normal Summon Same number of Main Deck cards for the 2 engines to work Same number of bricks (even tho Benkei is an insane brick)/starters of the engine Both requires some Extra Deck spots : Banshee at least Exceed the Pendulum, Bacha, Schuberta etc Rafflesia or Merrymaker and Sargas (with then the Regulus brick in addition), Bagooska etc Both have drawbacks But Ostinato puts up more than Wakaushi and also is way better than Wakaushi going 2nd (but Ostinato is only 3 cards while Wakaushi is 6 cards) Also Ostinato/Refrain combo puts IP already in the GY so that u're able to place it back with Flamberge.
@@Saaltoo_o Maybe you're right for pure SE but idk I'm sceptical. First refrain is a massive target for hand traps. The whole engine is more vulnerable to hand traps, and the reason is that you have to start with that engine, while with the SHS engine you can usually start with SE cards. Also if you watch the video, wakaushi/bike gets you Apo Amblo arvata flamberge, while being resistant to Nib. It can get you that same board minus Apo without normal summoning. On top of that opening Ash with refrain makes you choose 1 or the other while SHS can back up your SE cards. I believe the SHS cards are under explored in SE and that's the reason people believe the melodious cards are better in the deck. I don't believe the cards are actually better than SHS
@@Saaltoo_o also, if you have bonfire/wanted then I totally agree that the melodious stuff is better, but then you're basically playing a pile deck with like 50 cards or only like 9 handtraps
@@YGOKingPhil i see your reasoning and maybe ur at some point right Not a fan of SHS going 2nd tho still And no need to play a Pile of 50 nor 9 handtraps, most list are able to play 43/44 in the Main with 12 to 16 handtraps
Thanks alot for those videos, they help alot!!
was already playing this before u vid, this deck with shs is amazing
One of the best budget decks around!
Can you suggest an updated deck list post September 2024 Banlist?
i tried the shs package and i love it gonna main this deck for a while
Yeah same. I'm probably gunna move on to making videos about other decks but this one will probably be my main for a while. Thanks for watching!

im destroying my friends with your list! Absolute king!

I have 2 wanted and 1 black witch.. Are they worth playing still?

Ostinato also exists

Same number of Main Deck cards for the 2 engines to work
Same number of bricks (even tho Benkei is an insane brick)/starters of the engine
Both requires some Extra Deck spots : Banshee at least
Exceed the Pendulum, Bacha, Schuberta etc
Rafflesia or Merrymaker and Sargas (with then the Regulus brick in addition), Bagooska etc
Both have drawbacks
