Dinomorphia, evil eye, altergeist, ground-xeno less dinosaurs, ninjas, and pure stun, can all be bought on a shoestring budget. They're all good enough to top a local event, too, so unless you plan on traveling for regionals or higher they'll do you fine. Alternatively, you can just play the free simulators available online. Maybe I should pick up Dogmatika Invoked Shaddoll until misc goes back to 3.
I have taken some notes from two different decks. Defense OTK/Block Golem Giant and Sentry soldier of stone. Are revived over and over with Block Golem. The point is to use Giant Soldier of Steel and D2 Shield, along with Canyon to basically get a creature that’s unaffected by card effects. With 8,000 defense. Even just a regular creature doubles to 4,000. I’ve killed many decks with that Stone Statue of the Aztecs alone. Double damage on canyon AND the statue? D2 doubles it? So that’s 4,000 defense with 4x the damage so let’s just say the creatures attack was 2,000. They attack into the statue and it stacks. So 2,000 damage doubled to 4,000, doubled again to 8,000. Discard a stronghold guardian into as well it comes out to like 9,500. I’ve done well over 12,000 damage with just rocks.
I recommend Raidraptors. It's cheap. It has towers, long combos, can play around hand traps relatively well and I guess, often times you win at least 1 out of 3 games in a match.
The best part about a tier 0 format is all the sheep at locals play the same deck card for card , they might differ in their side deck choices between players but for the most part you can expect the same thing and after playing the same decks at locals two things will happen. First , you’ll know when and what to hand trap or interact with. Secondly, you’ll begin to get bored waiting for your opponent to fumble through his snake eyes combo

the issue with Purrely is that Goblins have such an oppressive matchup that they serve as a gatekeeper from them ever being a top deck, because just running 3 boom mach as a hand trap will be able to detatch their purrely from the noir and even if it's a towers, it doesn't matter since it's affecting the materials not the card itself. This makes the deck a sitting duck just waiting to get OTKed since Noir's effects aren't quick effects if they don't have Purrely as material. The deck can still be good, and even objectively stronger than Goblins (which it is), but having such a hard counter is devastating and probably means it can never be a top contender ever again
@chumsalmon9120 I am also a goblin player, I was mostly referring to using Boom mach as a generic hand trap, and that having such a simple hard counter means the deck can never be a "best deck", even with everything back at 3 or with some support, not that Purrely needs it. I'm not saying play goblins, I'm saying be aware that Purrely will have to be rogue enough that you don't prepare for it in a standard side deck
@MonkeyFightTCG I've been enjoying it as a means of playing a more general 3 pile, I'm currently doing it with punk, gold pride, pk and ba, alongside every free level 3 extender possible for a 60 card build, very explosive, has a lot of push, but still dies to droll and nib, so beware, but yeah, I wholeheartedly recommend trying out goblins

Good Video. While I understand that you can include every Rogue deck, I'm surprised that you didn't mention Runick Stun. Yes, it is not the most exciting deck to play, but objectively (from the pure numbers of YCS Raleigh), it is the second best deck after the Snake-Eyes variants, and it is in a great Anti-Meta pick.
So a bit of behind the scenes. This video was in development for a few months. It kept getting held back by massive set releases, ban lists, big meta shifts, and me just getting frustrated with the format. after the most recent ban list. I called it and hard settled on a list of decks only adding in a few new options. so i could get this video out. There were a few decks i also cut alongside it. You don’t really need to understand how pendulums work to play the game unless you’re playing pendulums. I play Pendulums Magicians and the mechanic isn’t really that difficult to understand. Build what you think is fun, best recommendation is being 3 of a structure deck and go from there.
I think traptrix ragnarikka has some serious potential if you can shill out for thrust. Worth looking into at least, maybe even aromage/traptrix or aromage/ragnarika.
Thanks! I've been trying to get back into the game for the last few weeks but the complexity creep is overwhelming. I still don't understand links, xyz and pendulums tbh, probably just gonna go play an old format without those mechanics
That was such a great video. I play 4 way yugioh with 3 of my friends. I’m struggling to find the best deck for it (we banned Nibiru & Lava Golem😂). Any ideas? I currently have a GED and RDA deck but want to make a new one that can play around many hand traps as well as keep control
I kinda wish Yu-Gi-Oh! would focus more on other archetypes than introducing new ones all the time. Give new support for Duston and Ojama players. I'm sure it'll be more worth it than new support for an over-supported archetype.
I made my own stuff. The background is a square grid pattern I animated to move. The neon effects are a stroke given an outer glow. And the card animations are done with a graphic template for pokemon.
Im gonna order soon realm of light reprint. Plus maybe a pack or two of light of destruction for a chance to get another Wulf or light recharge spell. So yeah , definitely saw both items in my country other city and have way to pay online , so why the heck not? 😅
Can you explain more of your reasoning on Kashtira being simple for new players? Cards like Unicorn require you to have the card knowledge to know which of your opponents cards you should banish.
For once, Tear is no longer worth mention, so long as you ignore that Paleozoic top. But as soon as konami accidentally makes a fusion with materials like "1 Pyro + 1 Dark monster" we'll see so many weird lists.
Tearlament almost made the cut. I really wanted to do a lightsworn build, but it's iffy if they'd be successful enough in the west and I needed to get the video out. maybe i'll do a mini rogue deck choice video with some smaller options.
Whatever stupid jank I can come up with. Or old archetypes as pure as possible. I don't actually play now, mostly just collecting because I enjoyed the game a lot when I played years ago.
What next do you think if konami should banned some the archetypes some are overkill powerfull it be unfair to play the system never give player a chance just have started
Great video. Very simple tip for beginners or returning player (like myself). If you are going to play Yu-Gi-Oh! just for the sake of playing the game then play whatever you want or whatever is NOT META and set your expectations LOW, so you do not get DISAPPOINTED.
lost a ton on the banlist with appo gone, and is incredibly bad into a format with dimension shifter (more so than other decks on this list that at least have some handtraps to sit on for a turn)

@MonkeyFight TCG Some feedeback if you want it: i am a firm believer yutube needs diferent and better ygo content, specially for people starting out. At the start of the video it seemed this one could be for the new players due to the way your word choice was too much "baby like". But soon the video turned in another direction. you don't need sp little knight to compete. yes it's a great generic form of removal but telling players they need at least one $100 card is heavily misinforming them. s:p little knight will power up your deck, but it is not going to be the piece that seperates winning from losing. loved the video, but just wanted to share my thoughts!
@MonkeyFightTCG there are staples that almost every deck runs but aren't necessary to win, S:P is just like Accesscode in that aspect. it's your video, but i would suggest letting your audience know about the prevalence of S:P little knight, and let them make the decision to spend $100 or not on a single card. this is one of the main reasons nobody wants to get into this card game anymore
Can we stop encouraging people to play decks like kashitras, tear, beastial and garbage like it as it completely ruins Yugioh. I would say 98% of players are just trying to play for fun 1.5% and the last .5% are a bunch of tryhards who played not for fun or even to just win they play for the sole purpose of playing one of the many decks oh who am I kidding it's just 4 to 5 of the exact same decks and half of those are expressly made to make sure that your opponent doesn't get to do anything at all and they're only recourse is to surrender because no matter what they play it will instantly be negated by a full board of cards ready to negate any and everything you do and the other half of them do pretty much the same thing but they swarm I do a little damage on the side. I think decks that make it impossible to play anything on your turn 4 decks that use your turn and interrupt it to play more cards on your turn should be banned in their entirety even if the card is not part of the archetype. And Konami if you are listening stop printing cards like this nobody wants them you're only making the game more erroneous
@@frig7014 I tried to make fun decks with cards that I like the main deck that I play right now is a vampire deck that gives up life points to gain three times more in return it's a fun deck and loses probably a little more than it wins but the main part is that it's fun but I have about 28 different decks and the only ones that are close to the "meta" would be a blue eyes deck yep that's about it I don't play magia in it either as it requires too many cards to make it for what it offers

And I see. Still, it would be nice to see support for the under-supported, like Butterspy.
What background/styling pp are you using on this video?
I made my own stuff. The background is a square grid pattern I animated to move.
The neon effects are a stroke given an outer glow. And the card animations are done with a graphic template for pokemon.
@@MonkeyFightTCG any programs?
@Destrudo5359 just the adobe suite of software
Im gonna order soon realm of light reprint. Plus maybe a pack or two of light of destruction for a chance to get another Wulf or light recharge spell.
So yeah , definitely saw both items in my country other city and have way to pay online , so why the heck not? 😅
Can you explain more of your reasoning on Kashtira being simple for new players? Cards like Unicorn require you to have the card knowledge to know which of your opponents cards you should banish.
you pick the most expensive looking one
05:50 hence immediately breaking the game into the do you have all the answers right now?
Where is Chain Burn category on?
02:35 nothing wrong with that, right? right??
No tear?
For once, Tear is no longer worth mention, so long as you ignore that Paleozoic top. But as soon as konami accidentally makes a fusion with materials like "1 Pyro + 1 Dark monster" we'll see so many weird lists.
Tearlament almost made the cut. I really wanted to do a lightsworn build, but it's iffy if they'd be successful enough in the west and I needed to get the video out. maybe i'll do a mini rogue deck choice video with some smaller options.
I choose the birds
I just wanna play masked/elemental heroes and stardust dragons
swordsoul isnt even a rogue option anymore? that makes me sad
as a new returning player this video was very hard to understand since a lot of the terms used were not explained
Tier 0 formats usually cause stun decks to resurface from what I have seen...
Makes sense, stun/burn decks fight on a different axis than the average deck.
Kind of a "if you can't win a fair fight go for the eyes"
I play Scareclaw🥰
Dark World And Sprigth ?
Whatever stupid jank I can come up with. Or old archetypes as pure as possible.
I don't actually play now, mostly just collecting because I enjoyed the game a lot when I played years ago.
wow this couldnt have come at a better time lol
What next do you think if konami should banned some the archetypes some are overkill powerfull it be unfair to play the system never give player a chance just have started
thanks thanks thanks
I'm surprised Yubel didn't make the list
It was close to being added. But I had to get the video out eventually.
Great video. Very simple tip for beginners or returning player (like myself).
If you are going to play Yu-Gi-Oh! just for the sake of playing the game then play whatever you want or whatever is NOT META and set your expectations LOW, so you do not get DISAPPOINTED.
What about darkworld?
lost a ton on the banlist with appo gone, and is incredibly bad into a format with dimension shifter (more so than other decks on this list that at least have some handtraps to sit on for a turn)
Good
Melffy deck. Next question.
06:17 so bad design, no balance only profit matters?
1:35 Bro who tf made no fur purrely
Snake eye engine was never really expensive. It was the bonfire and sinful spoil engines that were.
I play ftks because if you want to win why give your opponent the chance to play the game. They might win after all

🤧 *opponent can’t even play the game and sits there watching*
@prest-seto: “Wow this is so exciting! Aren’t you having so much fun?!”
Like No actually I prefer NOT to play that kind of garbage thank you very much because I actually want to play a game, with an actual person to play with not just a spectator there to watch my combos…
if I wanted to just draw 5 and play my entire deck without interruptions I would just play solotaire…
But you sweaty players can’t even do that, you can’t enjoy the game unless you force someone to sit there and watch you win right? Then its fun? (But of course only if you win though if someone hand traps you then it’s not fun and suddenly “yugioh is so broken the meta sucks”)
@@Practicalinvestments na if my opponent has the out they have the out, I have no complaints about losing
I know what kind of deck I’m playing and what I’m getting into by playing it. Plus it’s just a game so no reason to get upset over it.
PS if my opponent goes full combo when going first, it might as well be an otk considering all the muti negate boards made these days so I don’t see any difference
Pss quit projecting “sweaty players”. Lol
Sounds like you’ve got animosity bub, I’m sorry but if we ever duel I’ll make sure to end it quickly…oooh
@@Practicalinvestments you sounds like youre about to cry
Why brazilians don't make this type of video very often?
Let’s turn Counter Fairies Meta 🎉
I wouldnt said that branded despia is weak rogue deck 😂
rikka traprix goes hard
Been playing lightsworns since they came out. The answer isn't lightsworns
Where is lightsworn? 🗿
In the graveyard. They were milled
Only thing I don't understand is how despia is weak rogue. That deck is an infinite power house no matter the format
Basically an infinite energy source🤣
branded despia being in weak rogue is absolutely not true
I know this is mighty petty of me, but the archetype is pronounced "bestial". "Bys" is rooted in abyss.
then konami can spell it differently.
I don’t like all the new Yugioh type cards, like link and all the other weird ones like xyz synchrono and what not, so I’m struggling to find good decks that fits the original game from the series, im old school and what some ideas so if anyone knows some good decks that are old school and don’t contain any weird cards, please let me know
@@GodGod-lr7qs Floowandereeze is the standard non-Extra Deck option. It only needs its main deck monsters/spells/trap. It’s also not too complicated, and it’s still relatively strong.
I used to be really against Link summoning when it first came out, but I think the new summoning mechanics grow on you the more you play with/against them
I'm gonna play zombie world
@MonkeyFight TCG Some feedeback if you want it:
i am a firm believer yutube needs diferent and better ygo content, specially for people starting out. At the start of the video it seemed this one could be for the new players due to the way your word choice was too much "baby like".
But soon the video turned in another direction. Even with great presentation and a good script it goes to a place that is too far for new players.
So who exactely is the video for?
Just my 2 cents. Until next time.
Disappointed in no hero list, it's been doin as a rogue as of late and it even hit tier 3 in master duel multiple times
It's always rogue but never remotely budget. The thing is if I included every deck at that level this video would be several hours long
Take a drink every time he says absurd.
Marincess really only 150, am i looking at that
yep, they're really that cheap
@@MonkeyFightTCG for a first deck you think its worth it?
It's a good pick. But like any deck i recomend you look up a guide and test it online first before buying it.

OMG stop bullying that poor purrely
no
Updateeeee
bro is putting branded in weak rogue options 😂
If you want branded to get higher, then I suggest topping more
you don't need sp little knight to compete. yes it's a great generic form of removal but telling players they need at least one $100 card is heavily misinforming them. s:p little knight will power up your deck, but it is not going to be the piece that seperates winning from losing. loved the video, but just wanted to share my thoughts!
There are ycs events where every player is using one. You need the card for most decks and i won't lie to my audience
@MonkeyFightTCG also, nobody starts playing yugioh by competing in a YCS, you can top 100 locals before you need to use 1 S:P little knight
Also you can just use a Knightmare Unicorn instead.
What deck are you playing?
@@frig7014 I tried to make fun decks with cards that I like the main deck that I play right now is a vampire deck that gives up life points to gain three times more in return it's a fun deck and loses probably a little more than it wins but the main part is that it's fun but I have about 28 different decks and the only ones that are close to the "meta" would be a blue eyes deck yep that's about it I don't play magia in it either as it requires too many cards to make it for what it offers
Dont play bricksoul
Anime deck
Chose a deck:
You play flesh and blood, Pokemon, magic, Star Wars unlimited instead 😂
Japanese market games like this or one piece always have warped metas that are unhealthy .
