love how sandman just stands there and eats punches like mf you were the 2nd hardest fight in the nes one and now you're getting your ass whooped by a guy only throwing right jabs in the MAJOR circuit
Back in early 1995 I set a world record of 13.26 seconds on Mr. Sandman (I actually had bested every record Nintendo tracked from their own gameplay experts). He was SO much easier than the NES version.
some actions in-game briefly pause the timer, these are only the frames in a prior video they made of this game where the timer actually ticks upwards. A few of the fighters _really_ love to pause the timer lol

I'd like to see a version of Punchout where the timer never pauses and it can go more than 3 rounds and a version of Super Punchout where the time also never pauses but it also has rounds like the other games in the series and goes past 3 rounds. I don't know if the timer should be real time or accelerated. That would take some playtesting to see which works better.
Many attacks in Punch Out will cause the timer to pause (aka time freezes). This video edits out all the pauses of the 2P fastest-time fights so you’d see what the fights look like when time advances ‘normally’, even though it doesn’t make any sense continuity-wise lol.
@@bmardiney From the video description: "This is an edit of the TASes I did a while ago in Super Punch Out for the 2 player code where player 1 and player 2 win as fast as possible in real time. This edit only shows the active frames of the in-game timer while it's ticking. That means any time the clock freezes, whether it's because the opponent freezes the timer, the player gets an opponent dizzy, or the player is knocked down, those frames are edited out. This edited video immediately starts with the 1p beats everyone TAS, then goes right into the 2p beats everyone TAS."

It took me a sec then i looked at the timer. This is actually perfection.
Indeed.
Thank you for commenting this, i had no idea what i was looking at
@@Neokan_n Indeed.
I looked at the timer first thing but I'm not sure I get it.

1:44 only naught point zero 5 seconds of BOGUS is needed to utterly destroy mac.

legit thought "where was macho man?" before seeing this comment cause it was that fast
Even at 0.25 speed you can barely see it
I love how pausing then tapping on the timestamp stops right at his .05 seconds
0:21 - Here is the birth of Aran Ryan for the Wii, no wonder he has lost it mentally
This gave some bizarre, disjointed YTP energy to it and I honestly find that absolutely hilarious lmao
Mad Clown doing flips.

Mac's secret power is stopping time. Canonically he's the most powerful character in the game

if someone asks you how king crimson works, show this video to them
basically king crimson works like the skip-by-10-seconds thing you can do on UA-cam.
@@thebaseandtriflingcreature174 I see it as diavolo making everyone act like he hadn't moved rather than actually skipping time
It's actually kind of hilarious that Hoy of all people is barely in the video
Can only imagine all of this moves waste a lot of the player's timer then

1:24 Bald Bull (points to little Mac): Is this… *Drums?*
i love nonlinear storytelling/ref
Gabby and Bob no longer exist. Both have been erased by the time-eroding power of TAS Little Mac.
Everyone's freaking out about Super Macho Man but I'm as impressed with Dragon Chan's kicks breaking the sound and light and reality barriers

Gabby Jay got deleted lmao
Now i wonder if it would be possible to beat super punch out by pretending it's a turn based RPG.
you get one action after any move the opponent does.
Now I've heard of 'punching the time clock' but this is not quite how I recall the phrase being defined.
boxing like god intended
Super macho man is the strongest punch out character confirmed
