Rewatching this and have been reminded of The Switch and now I’m tempted to pick it up in the lead up to Christmas as it sounds similar to The Holiday, as you mentioned. Also sounds comforting which is needed!

Love seeing a book video! I started a new job in the library at a university recently and it’s given me sooo much more of an appreciation of them. Adding so many of these to the list of ones to read 😁🙌🏼

Ooohh I do love a book video, especially from someone I adore as much as you! The Lido is one of my favourite books, absolutely obsessed! I adore these book videos! We have such similar taste that I enjoy hearing your reviews of books I read but also I know what to read next because if you liked it, I most likely will too. On Instagram, I saw that youre reading We Were Liars. I CAN NOT wait for your review on this one. I had so many thoughts about it.
I really like your book reviews, they are such relaxing videos to watch, you actually talk about the stories without giving away too much & since we do seem to have a very similar taste in books (me liking books that simply let you escape reality in a way - The Switch kind of genre I think), I always get at least one new book recommendation🫶🏼
Thanks so much Nina, that's a huge compliment as that's always what I try to aim for, I personally don't like knowing too much about a book and there's a fine line sometimes between giving an overview and giving away the best parts! So glad you like how I do it :) really hope you enjoy some of these books, love that we have similar tastes! x

Aww that's great news, I love having a library card too, it's like my cosy happy place in there :) The Lido is amazing isn't it, I'm sorry to say that I didn't have hugely high hopes for it from the first couple of pages, then I fell in love and now it's one of my favourite books, I just think it has so much heart! x

Book videos are my favourite 💕 Beth O’Leary is my fave comfort read, and I definitely need to check out more Kristen Hannah! I read the winter garden recently, but will check out those others you mentioned too! Have you read any Lucinda Riley? I love the Seven Sisters series, I think a similar theme to Kristen Hannah, they follow a strong female character but also there’s chapters about ancestors and different cultures/history which I really love! The hothouse flower and the butterfly room are great stand-alones by Lucinda Riley too!

I absolutely adore Kristin Hannah. I’ve read a few of hers and I’ve managed to track down all her earlier novels on second hand book sites. Currently working my way through them all. She gets deep into your heart!
She's so wonderful isn't she, the way she writes is just breathtaking! Her stories always leave me in bits, the kind of books where I can't wait to see what happens but then wish I'd savoured them more once I'm finished haha - always a sign of a brilliant writer :) she really does get deep into your heart, you're so right! x
Some of her best were Silhouette Intimate Moment novels.

Fab books you've picked I loved the Lido too I read it when it came out in digital proof as I actually used to run a book blog before COVID would love to get back into reading again our village is mainly 60+ people who love to read as our charity shops are always overflowing with boxes of books as well as the shelves and usually £1 per paper back or 50p per hardback and often chart releases too I agree it's great! 😄👏💖

I recently read one true loves too and really enjoyed it. I didn’t love Daisy Jones as I felt like it dragged but I did like Carrie Sotto. I would definitely recommend Billy and Me and You’re the one that I want by Giovanna Fletcher I read both years ago but I remember enjoying them.
Queening people is also being made into a TV show too. It was one of my favourite reads in 2020.
Someone sent me a DM yesterday saying that OTL has been made into a movie, the reviews are pretty awful though so maybe it's better as a book! I felt the same about DJATS, I did love it but not as much as I thought I would - yet to read Carrie Soto Is Back, it's on my list :) ooh thank you, I'll give them a go! I can't find Queening People on Goodreads, is that definitely what it's called? x
@@MegSays yeah I’ve seen it’s been made into a film but the reviews are not the best but I will give it a go for sure.
