I love your book videos :) i've been subscribed and have been watching you since I was 11, and now I'm almost 17 hahaaa and I can now fully relate/appreciate all the lovely books you talk about! if you loved malibu rising, you should also read daisy jones & the six, I absolutely loved it. on earth we're briefly gorgeous might also be a book you enjoy, I really loved it

The Midnight Library was my favourite read of 2021. It’s so beautiful! I’m glad you enjoyed it too. Have you read The invisible life of Addie Larue? If not, I think you would really enjoy it. It has the same message about appreciating what you have in your life 😊 hope you had a lovely Christmas and all my best wishes for 2022!
Such a poignant and beautiful book isn't it, at first I wasn't sure as my own mental health isn't always great so find depression quite hard to read about sometimes, but it ended up being so life-affirming and I truly loved it! Ooh no I haven't heard of it, I'll add it to my Goodreads now so I don't forget, thank you for the recommendation! Hope you did too, thanks so much :) hope 2022 is a really happy and healthy year for you! x

This was the most chaotic video but I absolutely loved it! hahaha I feel exactly the same way about Hamnet, I almost gave up at so many points but the ending was beautiful. Love your book content xxx
HAHA omg! I actually filmed this a little while ago (it just took a while to get approval from the brand) so I can't remember what happened but I'm guessing Millie was running in and out and distracting me 😂 ah yeah I felt the same, the start and end were the best parts about it for me and I loved both of those, found the middle very slow and sad and didn't enjoy it very much unfortunately - still glad I read it though! @@MegSays I'm doing okay, just living that chronic illness life like the rollercoaster it is. Surprisingly I was okay after all of my vaccines- just a goose egg under one armpit and a sore arm but otherwise thankfully I've been okay. It's great to see you on UA-cam again, I'd be happy to see more book content in the future too. Stay safe and well x

I loved Small Pleasures too. I adored Hamnet - I thought it was so clever and so beautifully written and loved how Shakespeare himself really wasn’t the focal point of anything, not even mentioned by name etc. Paper Palace also loved. Midnight Library I thought was okay - a nice idea but I didn’t rate the writing - quite a quick easy read though. I’d really recommend The Dutch House if you enjoyed Paper Palace. Ooh and I saw you loved The Vanishing Half - I just read The Mothers by Brit Bennett and thought it was even better so I’d really recommend it! X
Such a unique story, I feel like I haven't read anything else like it! I agree, thought Hamnet was beautiful too and couldn't fault the story or the way it was told but sometimes you can't deny how you feel when you're reading a book, if you're not enjoying it then you can't force it and a large chunk of the middle was a slog for me. Can see that totally with The Midnight Library - from everything you've mentioned (Small Pleasures, Hamnet, Paper Palace, Vanishing Half) they're all SO outstandingly written and then when you move onto a book that's not quite the same standard, it can be really glaring but that's the beauty of books, something for everyone! Ooh my mum bought me The Dutch House (she's too cute, she buys us a gift on Mother's Day as she says she wouldn't be a mum without us - ridiculously sweet!) so I'm looking forward to getting into that, heard great things :) definitely want to read The Mothers! x
Loving the satin pyjamas always so soft and cool for summer love them then especially! Great to hear what you've been reading I always enjoy kids fiction personally for me the stories make me laugh I've had a lot of trauma in my past and find the kids books bright me light and laughter that I missed out on for years growing up especially animal themed books I'm a huge animal lover especially the classic animal ark books I have the whole set! 😂💖

Oh my gosh I LOVED those books, like Kitten in the Kitchen etc! I was such a big reader growing up too and those were some of my absolute favourites, you've made me want to re-read them hehe. I'd actually love to re-read the Jacqueline Wilson books as well! x
