Please don't ever delete this video. I love making this bread while watching this video and doing it along with you even after all this time and how many time I have made it. Its like you are here with me and we're doing it together. Thank you for all your wonderful videos and the time you take to make them. You are an absolute amazing woman, so kind and caring. God bless you and your family.
I watched this video years ago and came back today because I’m finally going to use my Pullman Pan tonight. I’m so thankful that you have these videos interacting with Matt. I have to admit I bawled like a baby listening to and watching this. I will always thank God for our time with loved ones. Thank you Heather. ❤️
awwwww....thanks for those sweet words. I ache for him every day. I always will. Mina likes to watch these older videos and listen to her Daddy. She likes to watch his hot chew. haha It brings me such joy. I am so very thankful I have these memories.
I made this recipe a week ago, back watching it again because of a family reunion tomorrow. I used buttermilk powder and added dano's crunchies seasoning to the top before I cooked it in My pullman love pan. My whole family loved it, but I'm very saddened to hear this about your husband. I wish your family the best and this will always be my bread recipe ❣️
I bought the pan. I made the honey wheat bread. After ten minutes in the oven the lid blew off making a huge racket. Scared me and my dog. The dough was perfectly shaped in the pan, but only about 1/2 full. I put the lid back on and continued the bake, not expecting much! After 30 minutes I took the pan out of the oven and lo and behold, I had a perfect loaf. Love, love. Thank you for the inspiration, Heather. God Bless!
My sweet Hubby bought me the pullman pan.I got mine Thursday and made this yesterday. It turned out perfect. My son and husband loved it.Thank you for your videos. It makes things so much easier. For me, i have to see something done to learn to do it.Thanks again.
Love this gadget!! When I was a little girl, my family used to go to a bakery in our town. I loved watching them put the bread in the electric bread slicer, It was the bomb!!!
Oh wow! I am so thrilled. After watching you with the Pullman pan, the bread keeper, and the cutting board, not sure what to call it, I made this recipe today and just had my first piece of bread.I am so grateful for people like yourself who share your knowledge and such wonderful products. I doubt that I will ever go back to store-bought bread. I’m a new fan and will keep watching you. Keep up the good work.
I did it! It's raising for the 2nd time in the pan, waiting to go in the preheating oven! I'm so excited! Thank you Heather! Praying for you and your kids! 🙏❤
When I heard your husband in the background I cried , I pray you and kids are doing well and that you recovered fully from that accident, your such a beautiful woman helping all of us with your recipies
thank you so much. We will always grieve and miss him....but it's become a part of us now, and he lives on through us. we are healing and doing really well, considering.
This bread came out PERFECT!! I only have a toaster oven and it worked! I can't thank you enough for talking about the Pullman Pan, the Lock & Lock, and those old time mini cookbooks! I'll never have to buy store bought bread ever again!
I did it!! I can’t believe I did it!!!! Thank you so much Heather I’ve watched this video 20+ times in the last week because I have been so nervous but I did it!!!!!
I bought one of those pans at a friend’s estate sale. I had no idea why the pan had the lid. Lol. But I collect any kitchen gadget or pan. Now I can make sandwich bread! Your such a blessing!
I made this bread in my pullman pan yesterday and it turned out wonderful! It was my first time using this pan and I love it! I've made the bread before, it's really good!
I'm determined to start making bread for my boyfriend and I on the regular. I recently got a pullman and searching for a recipe now. Thanks for going into such detail about the bread and pan.
I watched you make this, wrote down the recipe and it turned out beautiful today.First loaf in my Pullman pan.Was extremely easy.I have made several of your recipes and my husband and I really appreciate the diversity. You and Noreen have been Godsends.Thank you.
Doing another re-watch to watch your technique again plus to get to hear Matt's voice too. You and your family are in my prayers this first holiday season.
Heather, Matt you two and Noreen & Rick have come into my kitchen and changed so much for me. I have been baking bread since I'm a kid! now that I'm baking as a wife and mom i am buying the pullman. Thanks for the insight.
Best recipe ever! I added 1/2 tablespoon Vital Gluten since I only had AP flour on hand. My first try at my new Pullman & it came out perfectly! Thanks for the recipe and instructions! Love your channel so much, you are such a doll!
Thank you, for your lovely videos! I just bought a Zojirushi bread machine that makes a 2# loaf. That dough fits perfectly in the 13 X 4 Pullman pan. This afternoon I made a Seedy Rye bread with pecans, pumpkin seeds and more. Our local market made a bread called "Seedy Bread", and I think this recipe is pretty close to that one. They are charging about $5 for a 1# loaf, so this could save me loads. For the rye bread, I also use a King Arthur Flour product called "Deli Rye Flavor" that smells like dill pickles. It make the rye taste like really good rye. You two are so sweet together. Keep up the good work!
I am really excited about the Pullman pan. I had no idea such a thing existed but now I must have it! It is ordered and I cannot wait for it to get here. Thank you for all the tips. I am learning so much from you.
I’m so excited, my first loaf is in the oven. Your recipe is so easy to follow! I can’t wait to see more recipes. I have wheat flour, so looking forward yo seeing your recipe.
I love this video!!! I've started baking bread again 😊 purchased a pullman because of this video. Love hearing Matt's voice again, much love to you for inspiration all the way around!!! Have a blessed day ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I bought the loaf pan and the slicer...that slicer is fabulous! I love the crumb catcher and the nice bread knife it comes with and the cotton bag to store it in. Very nice and worth the cost I’m going to use the loaf pan for som blueberry bread, I’ll keep you posted how it comes out
My pullman was delivered today and my loaf is sitting on the counter cooling and tempting my little ones. My husband is even excited to try it because he has fussed for years about my thick, crusty breads and how they aren't suited for p.b. & j sandwiches. LOL! Thanks for sharing and shout out to Noreen also. I watch both of you guys and can't believe I've never seen this. Better late than never!
Just ordered my Pullman pans (both sizes) and I will be making this wonderful bread when they arrive.... went from your page to amazon to order. Blessings to you and your kids, and thanks for all you do to help others learn.
I just found your channel today and I'm binge watching! I've loved the pullman's since my days of working in a bakery. There are so many practical applications for them other than just bread. Can't wait to see what comes next.
Made my first pull man bread. I was expecting it to be square but it looks like the shape of your wheat bread. When I rise the bread for 30 minutes, it wasn't totally like yours but went ahead and baked it. Awesome bread! It's definitely a keeper!
bread is a living, breathing entity. everything effects it. could be just a tad to cold, it can effect everything! on a warm, humid day, bread can rise in 20n minutes and be HUGE! hahaha i bet it was still beautiful and delicious! :D way to go!!!! you will love that pan!
The Kneady Homesteader I live in Washington and indeed it's cold in my kitchen. I normally put them in the oven to rise but since I'm preheating it that's not an option. I did put it on top of the oven and helps a bit. It's a very delicious bread and can't stop eating it.lol
hi Heather. I’m so excited! My husband ordered three of the Pullman pans and I just received them yesterday. Had to watch this video to make sure I use it correctly. Can’t wait to try it out later today. Your husband is so nice. I wish my husband would be in videos more with me. Maybe in good time LOL. Thanks for sharing all of your tips with us. Nothing like homemade bread and butter. Yum. oh and I almost forgot! He also ordered the bamboo bread slicer. I’m not sure if it’s the same one you’re using here but it’s really going to come in so handy. Never can slice a good even piece of bread LOL.
I watched your video with the Pullman Loaf and I have to say that's a nice looking loaf of bread!!! Now I have to talk to the hubby into buying one!! At home it's just my husband and myself, so I have thought about buying a 9 x 4. That way our bread shouldn't get stale. I love watching your videos!! Your laughter is contagious!! You have the cutest laugh!!
I love your videos....you remind me of my hubby and I...we shop together, enjoy experimenting in the kitchen, our son calls us the kitchen gadget people.......Love the giggles of you two....We will be celebrating 46 yrs together this summer.. Will be showing this video to hubby in the morning....I know he is going to want to get the pan for bread baking...Thanks
Beautiful bread! When my kids were little I made bread machine bread all the time. The slices were as thin as I could hand slice them, but they were always too thick. I would've loved to have this Pullman pan back then.
I really don’t know how to thank you. How can a loaf of bread bring one to tears but that is what your bread did. I have been making bread for years and never, ever have I made a loaf of bread so soft and fluffy. The taste is beautiful, it really is a perfect loaf of bread. My heartfelt thanks and I wish you and the children all the very best. ❤️
I had raving reviews at my wife's family reunion last weekend. I followed your recipe almost exactly, except that i added 2 tablespoons of buttermilk powder instead of milk powder. Also, after the first rise I added Dano's Crunchies brand seasoning before I did the second rise. I'm telling you it was an absolute hit and they ate the whole loaf and didn't even bother with the butter spread 😝👌
The bread shape is beautiful!More bread pans in my future! I saw these and put them on my wish list, now I'll have to notify my friends and family. Lol My birthday & Mom's day is around the corner.
+The Kneady Homesteader My apologies, I suppose that was not very clear. My birth month is June, to me around the corner. Once you get to a certain age, they are always around the corner! Lol
LOVE LOVE LOVE my new Pullman Pain !!! As well as ....... all the other tools you use....... but have not Bought the bread slicer ............... YET !!
I love my Pullman pan. When I was growing up, my neighbors dad worked at Colonial bakery , we would go see him and that's what pans the bakery used. Did you ever wonder how they got the bread shaped like that? So when I found these I bought some. Well worth the investment.
I love this recipe and have made it several times. I got a grain mill and used hard white and soft white wheat berries in this recipe and can't get the rise I do with store bought flour. What am I doing wrong?
I'm trying to make this loaf and I've got the same pullman loaf pan you've got, it's not my first time as I've had a couple of flops but I shall keep try until I have it down pat as you say
I really enjoyed your video and just ordered a pullman pan. I have a suggestion on your bread slicer. I have the same. To solve the chewing of the board is very east. Purchase a thin nylon type cutting board. The type that is flexible. Using kitchen scissors to trim it to be the same size as bottom board of the cutter. Back the 4 screws out of the board. Place the nylon board on top of the bamboo and replace the screws. It's a very simple fix.
I'm going to have to get one. Grandsons come for the summer & they don't really like crust(that's my favorite part). I don't like white bread so when I get one I'll make my honey white wheat bread. We always grind our wheat & really are spoiled now. Thanks for showing this. Like the slicer also.
I love this video. Great instructions + positive vibes. What more could you want? Just got a bread mixer for xmas. Been making dough by hand for more than a decade. I'm so excited to "get fluffy". Thanks for making this video and sharing :)
I have a batch of this proofing right now. I was worried about trying it because I don't have a stand mixer but my worries were completely unwarranted. This works totally fine by hand and comes out amazingly soft and smooth after kneading. I recently bought a pullman tin but my original recipe, even when increased, doesn't rise enough to fill the tin. So, I'm giving this one a go.
The Kneady Homesteader Nearly perfect! The dough rose for the second time in the tin, almost to the top so I was hopeful it would come out square but somehow it sank back down a bit. Still had a nice color all around and it had a squarish shape but it didn’t touch the top of the tin. Tastes great though!
Loved your video So much I bought a lg pullman pan and followed your recipe here. OH ! OMG my bread came out great beautiful like yours, my wife couldn't believe it. Thanks so much. And sorry for your lose. God Bless. Can't wait to try other recipes by you, Thanks again. P.S. New subcriber and like here..
That's it! This will be my very next Amazon purchase. I already have a 20 year old slicer though not s nice as your bamboo slicer. If I decide to cut the whole loaf and freeze it, I break out the electric knife - makes cutting it like butter. Thanks for sharing!
I have a similar bamboo bread slicing board. Before it gets destroyed, cut an inexpensive flexible cutting sheet (board) to fit and lay on the bottom of the cutting surface. I found some at the Dollar Store, cut to size with scissors and when IT gets hammered, use the other half. Problem solved and your bread board stays healthy!! You’re welcome.
Just a tip from a long time baker (lol good way to say Old Lady) if you cover with plastic wrap or damp towel until it rises 1/2 inch below rim of pan then put your lid on your Pullman pan and pop it in the oven gives you more control of your raise process :)
Shalom! Thank y'all so very much for sharing your bread recipe. Thank you also for sharing the Pullman Pan and Bamboo Bread Slicer. Blessings to you and the family.
Invest in some flexible cutting mats. They're very inexpensive, and would be great for protecting your countertops. You can also cut one to fit bottom of your bread slicer.
We all thought the prices 5 years ago for bread was outrageous. Today, it's $5 per loaf. Thanks Ms Heather! Hope you are doing much better. Hugs and God's blessings.
I made this recipe the other day and because I I don’t have this size pullman tin I baked my bread in a 3lb loaf tin. It came out looking like a large shop bought sandwich loaf and tasted delicious! So needless to say I won’t be buying a larger Pullman tin. 🇬🇧

I recently bought a pullman tin but my original recipe, even when increased, doesn't rise enough to fill the tin. So, I'm giving this one a go.
how did it turn out, Amy?
Thanks so much for the demo! Am definitely interested in both of these items.
let me know if you end up getting them!!!!! i should have bought them sooner.
I use my electric knife and it slices it so perfect, great video!🎉
I really need to get one of those!
Matt is so funny. And so like my hubby. love the bread too I might be ordering this and as a trucker hubby can take a loaf with him.
This is first on my list of things to acquire when I get into a house again.
That's it! This will be my very next Amazon purchase. I already have a 20 year old slicer though not s nice as your bamboo slicer. If I decide to cut the whole loaf and freeze it, I break out the electric knife - makes cutting it like butter. Thanks for sharing!
hahaha i already have a 2nd pan in my cart.
I love your dough maker.
+Gina Davis ohhhhh thanks Mama! I will try that!!!!!!
You are very welcome hun' love your vid's your hubby cracks me up lol

Absolutely marvelous.
Where can I find the recipe for this,,looks so good sure hope your feeling a lot better now, can’t wait till your back to your baking and canning
Looks great, now I don't like butter or milk, can I omit those 2 ingredients and just have a simple bread?
Thank you.
Wow I need that pan!! pretty bread!!!
everyone needs this pan. 😂
Yum looks so good 😊
I just got mine. i cant wait to try this! I need to remember how much the dough expands during the rising and baking process
I made this bread yesterday Heather it is delicious . I had a pb&j with it yummy 😋❤️
oh I really really really want one of those pans. thanks for sharing.
its worth it mama!!! i could kick myself for waiting this long to get one
can' wait to give this bread and pan a try.
We all thought the prices 5 years ago for bread was outrageous. Today, it's $5 per loaf. Thanks Ms Heather! Hope you are doing much better. Hugs and God's blessings.
Making this no joke bread is in the oven right now. 😁 Thanks for the help with the pullman pan.
Will give it a try
To form a soft crust, wrap the loaf in a damp tea towel until cold and you will get the perfect soft crust.
I made this recipe the other day and because I I don’t have this size pullman tin I baked my bread in a 3lb loaf tin. It came out looking like a large shop bought sandwich loaf and tasted delicious! So needless to say I won’t be buying a larger Pullman tin. 🇬🇧
