We packed 13 suitcases and moved to South America in August. I had to make some tough decisions on what was needed for our new life. Ms Lori your cookbook came with as well as my pans, butter churn ,canning supplies. Now I have to figure out this high altitude baking. Love you and your recipes!💕
I buy my instant yeast in bulk & freeze it in a mason jar.
I understand what you mean about the altitude,, except in reverse. I went from high desert to seaside. I overcooked everything for a while.☺️
@@trishthehomesteader9873 what causes that? ❤️
@@joyce9523 The air pressure is higher at sea level. Think pressure cooker.😉 Food cooks faster under pressure.💚
Where are you living? I lived in Cerro De Pasco, altitude 14,000 feet above sea level. I remember at times the pressure of opening a jar would send the contents up in the air. My mom managed to bake cakes and bread. At that time, no grocery stores, we had to buy from the locals. It was fun. We lived there 3 years. My dad was an accountant for mining company. We lived in a compound and today one required special permission to stay there. One hotel back then run by Mr. Fritz.
I weigh all my ingredients in grams when I make my bread. It has made a huge difference in the quality of bread making🌻
I never watched anyone make any kind of bread before. I was dying for a slice 😂
Pullman Pan Tips: I chose the the smaller and have 2. Since it’s just hubby and me now, I can make a smaller loaf OR make two if we have company or to share (which is normally what I do).
Also, these two pans will fit in my countertop convection oven so I don’t have to heat my house with the big oven (living in Florida - that sure helps!).
Also - if you’re new to Pullmans, I once saw on a video that someone didn’t realize that Pullmans have holes in the bottom and poured a cake batter into it!!!😮
Wonderful video Mrs. Lori!! Love y’all and….
Sending Blessings!!
I'm still trying to do catch up on your videos since I'm fairly new on your channel. Then I got my notification of this one. I have so enjoyed your channel, Lori and Mr. Brown. Thank you for being such good role models by living a humble, Christian life. Your recipes and gardening tips are so much needed. Much love from South Arkansas --- Judy
I can promise you that you’ll be forever thankful to have subscribed to Mrs. Lori!!
Thank you Judy
Don't laugh...I have never heard of a Pullman pan until this video. So excited to try this recipe! Thank you all for your prayers. Not strong enough to bake bread...yet, but I will continue to get better. Be blessed Miss Lori and Mr. Brown.
Well, who knew that brioche bread was such a labor of love? ❤ This was one of your best, my friend! 👏🍞🎥🏆Although it took some time to explain each step and how it differs from the bread baking we are all accustomed to, it was worth every minute... not only for some good solid instruction, but so much comic relief along the way! 😅 First there was the rogue egg yolk that refused to comply (it reminded me of a little orange hamster on a wheel going around and around in there. I was SO happy when you turned the thing off and busted it yourself...it was driving me nuts!) Then there was the constant little ditty from the alarm...and the image of Mr. Brown (just possibly) doing circles around it on the tractor having some fun with you. But the grand finale with the slightly over-risen dough topped it all! When you started squishing that bread in there you looked like the prince trying to squeeze that glass slipper onto the foot of Cinderella's stepsister! 😅
All funnin' aside, this bread looks delicious! Like y'all, our favorite piece is that first one, hot out of the oven, with a gracious pat of real butter...and the best French toast ever the next morning. Thanks for a superb tutorial! 💗XO💗 mw
Thank you
I love the end with a bit of butter and some jam.
That's as fine a loaf of bread as I have ever seen, Miss Lorie! Julia Child used a pan like that in one of her early programs, and I am grateful to you for letting me know what it's called. I've made bread for decades, and we still eat about half a loaf the minute it comes out of the oven, even after all these years. Brilliant tutorial, ma'am, and bless you for leaving in the panicked packing. It was hilarious and heartwarming. We've all been there, and those are the stories we love to tell! ,❤️
Thank you
100% correct! Love the texture of this bread and can't wait to try it. I've got so many recipes over the years and this is the first one I've seen that has the perfect texture for sandwiches. Thank you so much. I had been debating on getting a Pullman pan and you just settled that. Im going to order one now!

You teach me so much both about cooking, baking and encouraging my faith. Thank you so very much for everything you do! I now do it too and I grew up in the mountains of Kentucky and sort of forgot my roots. Now I do my ancestors proud!! :) Much love from Kentucky!
Xoxoxo
Hello, I'm also from Kentucky!
@@GardeningLady nice to meet you
From good ole Kentucky mts too,
@@beltoftruth56I love the mountains! Good to meet you
I hear that beautiful clock chime again! I love it! ⏰ I always learn something from you. And .. what kind of gadgets I need to get! 😆
I've always kept my yeast in the freezer in a mason jar. I use my sourdough more than the yeast is why I keep it there and I've never had it go bad in many, many years. Love watching you and Mr. Brown. God Bless!!
That’s a beautiful loaf of bread. I know it’s delicious. You can’t beat fresh homemade bread. God bless you and Mr. Brown.
This is one of my favorite videos that you've ever done and the bread was so beautiful. I need to get me a bread machine and I need to get that bread pan it's a beautiful pan and it makes a beautiful loaf. I love all the sounds at your home it makes me feel at home and you made me laugh talking about Mr Brown out there setting off the alarm. Y'all are both precious people and I'm so thankful that I have gotten to know y'all.
Mrs Lori...I'm so excited about this recipe...my wife loves this kind of bread but it's 4.74 $ for a loaf...and it dries out in a couple days which didn't do in the past... thank you so much for the recipe
Ms. Lorie the bread looks delicious. I totally agree with you. Nothing more therapeutic than getting in the kitchen and making a fresh loaf of bread. Not to mention that wonderful smell it gives your whole kitchen. Have a blessed week.
Hi, Ms. Lori. Thanks for sharing this. I know what I'll be making later on this week. It'll be nice to have an alternative to the honey-oat bread that's my usual. Thank you for helping me do nice things for my sweet husband.
I let mine rise the second time with the lid on. Works great! That is beautiful. Nothing better than pretty and yummy bread. And the smell....oh my! Oh Miss Lori.......that is beautiful! I made my husband a grilled cheese sandwich tonight with my homemade bread. He said it was the best grilled cheese he had ever had. God's blessings.🥰🥰
I buy my yeast in bulk and keep it in a glass canning jar and I've been storing it in the freezer for over thirty years and I've never had a problem. I have carpal tunnel and arthritic hands so my hand kneading days are over and I agree it is therapeutic to hand knead your dough. I've never made brioche but yours looks delicious Ms Lori so I think it's time to try it. Thank you for sharing your recipes. 🙂❤️
This is a super relaxing video from start to finish. I love brioche and the many ways it can be enjoyed. Thanks for sharing your recipe, Ms Lori. Have a blessed Sunday.
I love my Pullman pan with a lid! LOVE IT!
Your bread looks amazing. I definitely needed this video and I’m excited to find me a Pullman pan. I’ve seen them on videos but didn’t know what they were called, thank you so much Miss Lorie for sharing this today.
My my what a beautiful loaf of bread. I love the way you roll with whatever happens. Good lesson to learn.
That looks soooo wonderful!! 🥰
I’ve never tried making a brioche bread, but I definitely will have to try in the near future! I always love to see your videos pop up!
I’ve been wanting to try Brioche. It’s getting pretty pricey at the store. Thanks for the measurements. I started using a scale with my bread last year and I get much more consistent results. Beautiful job on that loaf it looks delicious. Great feeling pulling a beautiful loaf of bread from the oven.
You don’t need to apologize for getting excited about a pretty loaf of bread. I get excited over that too. And yes. Your loaf was very pretty.
I've always said a job worth doing is a job worth doing right ✅️
I was looking for a good brioche recipe, so thank you! Your videos always warm my heart and I like to set aside a time that’s quiet to truly enjoy them ❤️

Beautiful video Miss Lori and very helpful to see all the steps. I bet that warm homemade bread tasted delicious. There is nothing better. Loved the little alarm going off cause of Mr. Brown, that was quite funny as well as you trying to get that lid on at the end but you did it and it sure came out wonderful. Have a blessed week and thank you! 🤗

Lovely loaf of home made bread

I will have to try this recipe next time I make bread. I made 2 regular "enriched" loaves yesterday plain white. Thanks Ms Laurie.

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I bought that same pullman pan last year. I've only used it a few times but plan on trying this on one of those dreary winter days that are coming soon. Looks delicious!
Lovely
Great video on baking beautiful Brioche sandwich bread, very interesting. I’ve never made yeast bread before, only quick breads on holidays. I enjoy watching the process. Thank you Ms. Lori.🦋🍁🧡
Oh my goodness this looks good. I have the same Pullman pan and all the ingredients to make this. I have been making honey bread in my Zojirushi all summer but I can’t wait to try this. My husband is really picky about the bread he likes and I have a feeling this will be a hit. Thank you so much for this.
I want to thank you Mrs. Lori for showing me how to make brioche bread. I have been wanting to make it. I can't wait. Thank you!!!
Beautiful!!! 🍞
Great video!!
That's a beautiful loaf of bread 🥰
I have thoroughly enjoyed this video, and may have to give this a try. I love baking breads, and have even developed my own recipe for a potato bread. I have allergies so baking my own is a great way to avoid issues with some ingredients.
I so enjoy your videos Miss Lori, and they're so relaxing to listen to. Thank you so much for sharing your time and talent ❤️
Thank you
Nothing else like fresh baked bread...oh the aroma!! Hey ,Ky ladies another here. Y'all enjoy the fall weather!! Thanks Ms. Lori for another great recipe and showing us how. Love from KY!!
Yummm! Wish I were there!!!!
Wow I luv how that bread looks coming outta that pan.
yum!
THANK YOU! I have a 9"x4"x4" Pullman Pan, and no bread recipes that fit. Most are scaled for the 13"x4"x4" pan. Now I have measurements as a guide for other recipes!!!
I love the mixing cup
Mouth watering goodness
Beautiful!
It's about bread making time. Can't wait to try this recipe.
I have a Pullman pan that I’ve never used. I think mine is the middle size at the back of my cabinet. Your instructions really helped. There is a type of bread I buy at certain Asian stores call Hokkaido bread or milk bread. Very soft and fine crumbed. It’s yummy!! Thank you again.
Oh my gosh! You never disappoint.
I've made bread all my life but never brioche.
I need a pan. Just the hubby and me now that the kids are grown but I'm a'makin' it.
Thank you so much 😊🍞❤️
I can almost smell it! It looks so good!😗😗❤❤👳♂🧙♂
There's a big difference between mass production and craftsmanship. Miss Lori, you've shown us what real craftsmanship is.
Thank you Miss Lori. 🙂 Beautiful loaf!😍
I've found I really like the egg and butter in my regular bread but brioche is over the top! Yum!One of the things I really like about a Pullman loaf pan is the square sides. Lined with parchment, it also makes a great soap mold.😄
Love and blessings!💜
