I'm crying watching this. I came the same way through the Sahara desert and then the Mediterranean sea. We started the journey from Sudan then we entered Libya and finally the Island of Malta. We were 28 people all in the back of a toyota Mitsubishi truck. The Maltese government saved our lives when we were about to sink in the middle of no where in the dark sea of the Mediterranean. I thank the government and the people of Malta day and night. I lived in Malta for 4 years and finally was given a chance to relocate to the USA in 2016. God is good !!!! Life continues with full of hope and bright future!! Amen .
Im gonna tell you something, I barely commented anything in more than a decade on youtube. But man, the way you put the videos together, your storytelling, the meticulous researches; its second to none. Actual god tier documentaries
Francis Ngannou. You won the fight against Tyson Fury. You fought the world heavyweight boxing champ and defeated him in the peoples eyes. Regardless of the obvious rigging of the fight, I'm super proud of you for how far you've come. Your life is a literal movie with a script that you couldn't even make up. Everything you've been through to eventually ascend to being a UFC Heavyweight Champ and then tonight BEATING Tyson Fury the current boxing heavyweight champ in your first fight is just incredible. We all know you won king. You're truly an amazing inspiration. Thank you for being so great.
Francis performance against Fury is legitimately one of the greatest athletic feats of all time. He proved himself to be one of the best athletes there ever has been and we will ever see
How the UFC decided to start dragging this guy is insane. He could be the most inspirational fighter they’ve ever had by a country mile. Fantastic documentary.
Francis is black and he wants to be paid properly so Dana White ain't interested in promoting him..... When I think about all the ways Dana White has screwed fighters while taking $500,000,000 for himself it makes me mad 😡
To be honest, I cried like a baby. This man is a massive inspiration to me now. He practically crossed the seven rivers and seven seas to get to where he is right now and that is powerful. I'm 100 inspired to chase my dream with everything I got. Thank you francis thank you Mr. Producer for this content.
Go get your dream mate I don't know what it is But every time you feel beat Everytime you want to quit Think of Francis Think of Tyson Think of Ali Brush yourself down and Carry on!!!!!!....….....… Good luck my friend
The calmness in his voice after going through real hardship is really inspiring. It makes you refuse to accept to be depressed or stressed for stuff that don't really matter.
@@Viperzin Although your struggles may not be like his struggles, your struggles are what can mold you just like his did to him. Always look forward, don't give up. I believe in you
Francis Ngannou truly is literal embodiment of a super hero. His story deserves to be made into a movie. I hope this video reaches the eyes of a producer of film maker one day.
I get what youre saying but also this is a movie already. What you just watched is a movie. Just because its not made by hollywood doesnt disqualify it. Hollywood probably couldnt make something as powerful as this documentary
@@PdronQ he left for a better life, to make sure if his mother got sick he'd be able to provide without worries, if his kids get sick he won't have to work himself to death. if you think if you were on his position and chose poverty over something you know you'd be good at than you're nothing but delusional
Fact! Accolades should be given to content we believe is worthy. Accolades should not be given from a small group of money grubblers who dictate Hollywood. We don’t need a Weinstein or Spielberg, never have.
Exactly what I was thinking and my second thought was in that movie the Spanish and Moroccan guards who were beating the refugees would see the guy who they treated like vermin became a world heavyweight champion.
@@thomashauer6804 Exacly, they can't ruin his story on the big screen by rushing thru it in under 90min with bad directors and bad actors. hopefully they (if they made a movie) that they put in both heart and money into it.
As a Cameroonian, I can attest to millions having this struggle, but Francis is amongst the few chosen for greatness, he’s whole life went the way it did to prepare him for the Future. He’s truly an inspiration to the millions who had and are currently trying to make it to their dream.

Nothing but goosebumps and teary-eyed I got from this documentary. Francis is my all time favorite athlete at this point and the best part is that he is very much still active.
Until he loses once then you throw him away like everyone does to the rest of the fighters People who never did anything in their lives, who degrade their "favorite fighter" for losing, even tho they had the balls to try. I truly hope his mother is no longer poor and sonewhere nice along with the entire neighborhood he grew up..im sure he helped it out a great deal..does anyone know?
My dad managed to escape his own country in Africa to come here in Europe. Watching this documentary the first time, I knew I had to show it to him (moved me to tears thinking my dad had a similar path - albeit very different and less dangerous). So yesterday, I showed it to him. And I saw his watery eyes, for a man that never cries. He told stories I never knew about. About how he managed to "trick" his way through the spanish border. About how sick his brother, my uncle, felt, to the point of vomiting when they had their first police control, with fake passports. He went on and on for what felt like a lecture on life and taking risk to live the life you want. I stand today because of my dad chose to try. And I'm forever grateful and humbled for it. I would like to thank Francis Ngannou for bringing attention to his story, the story that many in the world live through - and die - every day, the story of immigration, and hope. I would also like to thank Patrick Gavia for telling this story so well, with respect and dignity towards those who struggle through that path. This is art, this is humanity. Thank you!
lol 'escaped his country' was he locked up? Or did he just abandon his country to use the welfare from an other country. Lets not act like they did something heroic.
@@PdronQ I had a similar but more empathetic thought when watching and I thought about it for the past few hours and I really don't know what to think. In one hand his story is incredibly touching and tough, however, you can't ignore the fact that he wasn't in some sort of a camp or whatever against his will, he just lived in a village in his home country and then he decided he wants more and immigrated illegally. I am really interested to know what other people think about this, since he might not have enjoyed his time in Cameroon but what does Europe have to do with this? I've heard Francis' story a couple of times now, but it still doesn't fail to move and inspire me...what a horrific, yet miraculous journey. What a man it took to walk it.
I was born in Cameroon (now in US), my mom grew up about 70 km south of Francis' hometown and this documentaty brought me to tears several times. I'm completely new to your page, but I have to commend you for the meticulousness with which you put this together. From the storyline, to the videography down to what I have to say is an amazing soundtrack, this is the best Ngannou documentary I've seen on any platform! Frankly this might be one of the best (perhaps unintentionally) immigration documentaries I've seen as well. Thank you for this, it's deeply moving, does an amazing job at immersing you into the storyline, and is just overall a beautifully put together piece of art. I've already shared it with a bunch of family members.
I was born in northern Germany. Privileged from the very beginning. I hope that one day no one has to leave their family and friends if they not want to do so. I hope the western community and now the eastern (like china) stop exploiting and spoiling Africa. May your dreams come true Ndema Ojong =) One Love =)
I love Francis’ story and I never get tired of hearing about it. This video was amazing and it did a great job of showing how Francis got to where he’s at, in a very moving way. Thank you! Excellent work!!
@@SKumarInTech he’s evil. Said on Tyson podcast weeks after the fight he was mad Herb Dean got in quick to save Stipe. He already punched Stipe once while he was unconscious as it was, but he wanted more punches on an unconscious opponent. Let’s go Ciryl, an undefeated heavyweight champ will be great for the UFC.
I'm speechless. The amount of torture, pain, suffering these African brothers went through is unimaginable makes me appreciate my life so so very much. So happy for those who made it. Really I'm moved by this documentary. Much love to all
I vow from this day forth that I will NEVER complain about my life again. I will stop making excuses, stop waiting for a saviour and make something of myself.
Man, I ended up crying, what a sad and painfull but at the same time inspirational and motivating story. Francis is the champ, not just of mma, he got a better belt, the I beat every strugle that live shots me belt, he is a live champion for eternity. Awsome work my friend, you are definitively one of the top ten youtubers of the world
I respected Francis for what a great fighter he was already, but seeing this brought tears to my eyes. It's almost impossible to imagine so much suffering just to get from one day to the next (being a pampered American who never had to worry where my next meal was coming from...) I have such respect for anyone who could endure that hardship and emerge a world champion athlete. It speaks volumes for the inner strength that he has. Much love to you CHAMP! Stay strong!
Ngannou signing his PFL contract is huge. The greatness of this man is only being seen now. And you sir need to document the rest of the story. Francis owes you an exclusive!
As a Cameroonian myself, I am speechless. I know a few friends who took the Spanish route to Europe and 2 never made it. The one who did, something changed. He has never been the same. I think this explains a lot. That kind of journey can either build you or break you.
Yea they go through alot I'm from Congo and I've heard many horror stories from people who make their way to Europe through that path. They overcome many life and death situations
As an mma fan, this channel is fucking incredibele. the editing, the music, and the commentary which is added only when required and letting the subject, francis, tell his story in his own words is breath taking. seriously, movie level editing which stands out from all other youtube doccos. keep growing, and u have our support patrick. That whole cycle of trying to get a better life looks heartbreaking. For every one person who gets out, I can’t imagine how many others die in the process. Truly disturbing.
Especially going the journey he went in order to get to Europe ,I’m African but I always tell African not to go in that route ,too many people die ,get raped and more ,a lot of those people realised that it wasn’t worth it ,I knw several people that died in that journey ,including children.some also became slaves in there too .
His journey to survival and freedom makes you realise that becoming an ufc champion wasn't even close to the hardship he had to endure. Amazing human being.
Fantastic storytelling, this story is entirely about Ngannou. The music, the faces are mesmerizing from start to finish. Congratulations to Francis Ngannou and R.I.P. to all those who lost their lives hoping to find a better life.
I've never knew Francis had this past, and a past so intense like this is unreal just like the immense power he possesses, it all makes sense why he is a sheer force to be reckoned with. This is a brilliant documentary, JESUS CHRIST!
Francis story is beautiful story as African immigrant myself I can so relate, the sacrifices and hard work you have to put in is crazy but to see Francis today, gives me hope. Sad the UFC would not work with him but good on him for staying true to himself. I love your productions man. Thank you for this, God bless.
I am so proud of Francis. He came from a hard life, fought to come up off the streets and even after his ex coach leaves and trains Cyril Gane he does what most thought he wouldn't and beat him with grappling of all things. He is an amazingly nice person even after going through the hell. Most people don't come back from that kind of life.
@@555125kevin His coach alongside Dana White publicly threw him under the bus when he lost to Stipe Miocic and Derrick Lewis. This is where the "Francis got a huge ego" narrative comes from. Even though Fernand Lopez cornered him for his next 2 fights, the writing was on the wall.
Do you know him? Is he family? Is he your friend? If the answer to all of these questions is no then why are you proud of him? It's a horribly over used platitude that commenters on social media love to employ.
Very touching story. I made my son and my nephew watch this so they can learn how people are willing to die for the very things people take for granted. Watching those little kids working and mining under the sweltering heat and seeing what Francis had to go through shocked them. Well produced.
I heard his episode on JRE. This video just brings his story to life visually. Very well produced. I always thought i was a heartless robot. I never shed a tear. This story made me tear up. Im so proud of this guy and i dont even know him. I will be rooting for him tonight!
Crazy but it doesnt show everything. Crossing the desert and after each failed attempt cross Marroco again… to try multiple times, is crazy. And all to go to Spain and get arrested. To then be released to be a homeless… and now HW King. Insane.
How can you beat a man in a ring? When nothing in the ring can compare to what he has been through in his life. Amazing documentary. Such a powerful message and influence. What is a man without his heart, passion and determination? This documentary had me choke up the whole video.
I didn’t realize I was tearing up watching this. Coming from the same country as him to making it in the USA, his story made me relive mine. Francis is an amazing hero, his raw powerful physical force is even surpassed by the immense humility he displays. Class Act. Great inspiration to anyone struggling: “Never underestimate the Champion in you”
You couldn't make a documentary about Ngannou's life and hardships any better than this. This is high budget, top tier level documentary. Wow, just WOW. I am insanely impressed by every frame in this. You have to get this to him somehow, this shows how far he has come. You immortalised him.

Francis Ngannou’s journey is so inspirational, from working in sand mines in Cameroon as a kid to immigrating to France, with no money, being homeless, training in MMA, becoming a star in the UFC and the Heavyweight champion, then he decided to bet on him self, left the UFC, signed with the PFL and now will be the chairman of PFL Africa as well as getting the big money fight with Tyson Fury, what a journey 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Francis is a legend in my book. Real underdog story that most fighters could only dream of. The fact that Dana doesn't promote or pay his as much as he deserves is a crime.
I think Francis is just trying to raise awareness of how fighters are treated. Look at how he was brought up. He knows what that feeling is intimately. How people use others in a position of power. To gain wealth at the cost of others life's. Francis rise to glory is a tale. And his story should not be forgotten.
The ufc has offered him a large contract for millions each fight. He turned it down, to continue on his old 8 fight, 600k per fight contract. That way he could fight it out, gambling he would become champion & make it to free agency. So technically the ufc tried to give him a 4-6x pay increase & pay him millions per fight. He turned it down, & didn’t resign.
This got tear in my eye honestly. Francis story cemented my respect for him and truly just showed me what a warrior he is and the strugle he fought through. I'm rooting for him.
A lot of people out there takes this trip. Not trying to take anything away from him. But there are a lot out there who deserver our respect.... So sad that the world is run like this.

This just goes to show you the hidden gems in this world. One of the greatest MMA heavyweights of all time almost never was had he not chosen to risk his life to travel to France, had he continued to fail or even died on his mission to get there. Makes you wonder how many didn't make it that could've been an all time great in any sport, or a leading mind in science or medicine or someone who could've changed the world for the better.

You know I have always thought that the most hungry people for success come from the hardest backgrounds. They know the best way out of poverty is through hard work and sheer determination. We have it to easy with everything on a platter....education, health care, welfare and we take it for granted. Then we watch how people risk their lives to have our 'normality' ...kinda puts things into perspective. Most of us have became quite passive in our lives, we don't have that hunger and it's a shame really. This guy deserves it all and more.
This documentary is "gold". It just made me relive the struggle that Francis went through and inspired me from the core. God bless Francis and thank you Patrick.
It's really interesting to see the dichotomy between Ngannou and Khabib and how their fathers had completely opposite impacts on their lives, yet they rose to the same level in their respective domains.
@Indra Vrtrahaana. You are blinded-by-bias and your comment is a confession of you exercising your demons. Ngannou is an extraordinary person and league of a fighter in his own domain. However, Khabib is from an extremely poor Dagestan and his life is rifed with physiological, emotional, financial struggles in his own way. Sure Khabib had his edges but Ngannou is at the top of the pinnacle in the highest weight class and different edges when faced with excruciating circumstances like Ngannou's migration, father, are a catalyst to what he is today. Even if your envious argument of Khabib's privileges is accepted yet he was exposed to militaristic and harsh regimented life. Ibrahim Syal
Also exemplified how unequal the world, especially Africa, is. Adesanya also grew up in Africa but he was so rich, he couldn't even tie his shoes until he was 8 because the maid would do it for him. While Francis was absorbing mercury in a quarry. Absolutely insane
Fucking bawling my eyes out, Francis Ngannou’s story is like an epic myth of a legendary warrior, but it’s REALITY!!!!! What an incredible man, beyond inspirational, and he is still so humble and compassionate towards his fellow people. The courage he has to have beaten all the odds to be the heavyweight champion of the world in MMA, it’s breathtaking! This man deserves everything he’s asking for and then some from the UFC. Those fighters sacrifice their bodies and risk so much for payouts that are so meager and small compared to the lion’s share of profit that goes to the greedy guts running the organization. Dana White demonstrated such pathetic immaturity and cowardice yesterday, not even enough respect for the basic gesture to put the belt on the undisputed reigning champion. Shameful. I just hope Francis can focus on recovering and healing from his injuries, and his victory and efforts speak volumes for themselves about who the real fighting winner is because if he can survive the desert, the ocean, and the hardships of his journey to get here, he will have no issue overcoming this battle to be given the dignity, reverence, and fair compensation he more than rightfully deserves!!!!!
I did not even notice Dana didn't put the belt on him! I was just in so much awe of Ngannou especially when hearing he was fighting injured. People like Dana are willfully ignorant of the struggles of men and women like Ngannou. They are all over the world and amazing souls. I guess it's easier to exploit and profit off those souls than to learn from them and reflect what makes those men and women like Ngannou amazing. 😓
Words can’t even explain the emotions I feel right now! The trials and tribulations that Francis’s has has gone through, yet he’s turned he’s dreams into reality, is just truly inspiring! And Patrick, great work on the video!!!
Hey man, am an African from Cameroon in the United States. This is the best documentary I've ever seem seen. Looking at it made me cry bc I can relate to it in a different way. We go through a lot trying to make a better life just bc of the failure and selfishness of our government system. My story is similar to this but not as a boxer rather becoming an entrepreneur. As a Nigerian, West African and African I have to say I am extremely impressed by this documentary. I'm usually iffy about documentaries about Africans/Africa done by foreigners, but this is top tier and an excellent work! You are are really good at what you do, keep up the good work.
I’ve seen this documentary from beginning to end at least 5 times. It’s the best documentary I’ve ever seen on UA-cam. From the sports aspect of things, Joseph Vincent makes the best documentaries, but this doc goes beyond just sports. I’m not going to attempt describing what’s so amazing about it, I just can’t. There’s no words for how inspiring and beautiful it is. The scene where it changes back and forth from Francis in the pool to the shores that he washed up on all those years prior, combined with the musical choice in that scene, it was just… indescribable.
His finish rate is very high in MMA. UFC would be foolish to not pay him enough to keep him. He has the potential to surpass Stipe's 3 title defenses. Excellent documentary. 🙂
Attempts have been made, Francis left nearly 7 million for a 3 fight contract behind stating it's not just about the money. He feels he has be done dirty in the past. I really hope he gets over this and remembers less than 10 years ago he was basically homeless. Even after taxes and team pay he would be left with a potential 5 million in one year.
I've watched thousands of UA-cam videos. When something like this turns up and moves me to tears, I am grateful - thanks man. Mad respect for Francis and I so hope he wins tomorrow. Also, everybodys heart must go out to the children - lost to die in the desert, drowning in the sea, hunger.....bless your small hearts! Thoughts and prayers from Denmark.

This is one of the most powerful films I have ever seen. Period. I don't cry easily or often. I also grew up in what some might consider rough circumstances. But this mans story, and they way it was brought forth by Patrick Gavia..... unbelievable.
Why does the world need to suffer this much? I just can't put my heart to rest seeing small children in those conditions. Their only fault is to be born in a horrible world. Francis is the definition of a true warrior that knows the meaning of fighting for survival. I feel so privileged to the point I'm almost ashamed of myself. He's a hero to my eyes.
And those politicians or corrupt businessman or gangster adults, taking those money, those opportunities that should've been given to others by spending monies in Europe for luxury handbag etc.
Read the book : My Descent Into Death by Howard Storm. It explains how the world is the way it is. I was never a Christian nor believed in a higher power til I read that book about a man's account of events after dying and what he experienced. I was skeptical at first, but the stuff he described you just can't make up.
The fight to survive is the most basic human instinct. Take it away (like in the west) and you create a nation of idiots who have no basis for appreciation of what they have.

For all the pain and suffering he went through just chasing his dream, it had to feel so sweet doing this for himself as well as his country. Legendary story from a Legendary fighter.
People see the size of his punch and the size of his muscles and think thats why he became a champion, when in reality its the sheer gargantuan size of his heart... There is no shortage of tall men with muscles in this world... but a man who could endure what Francis has without ever wavering in his pursuit of his own envisioned destiny... ... that is unfathomably rare indeed.
Francis Ngannou - "I don't what the hell is boxing but I know what is my dream and I'm gonna try." He didn't even know what his dream really was but he knew it had something to do with fighting and that it was his dream. Imagine fighting for a dream so hard that you don't even really know much about it. Most people like Kobe or Michael Jordan know about there dream and the sports greats and the rules of the game and the pay and the future that it could provide. In my honest opinion.... This production you made documenting Francis and his journey is one of my absolute favorite documentary pieces. Thank you for this you're a legend.
Thank you!

well said my friend.
I 100% agree except I was not bawling my eyes, someone was cutting invisible onions.
💯💯💯
Absolutely agree with you, and what expect from Dana, he has no moral code, from what I have heard he fucked his sister-in-law.
"My friend, you have to make your destiny."
This documentary brought a tear to my eye in the end...and that's rare.
Words can’t even explain the emotions I feel right now! The trials and tribulations that Francis’s has has gone through, yet he’s turned he’s dreams into reality, is just truly inspiring!
And Patrick, great work on the video!!!
Francis’ story keeps growing! He just went toe to toe against arguably the greatest heavyweight boxer of all time! Amazing stuff
You casuals would call any body who’s champ today ´greatest of all times’ lol do you know what you’re talking about ?
@@austinbistro4151 you clearly don't
@@mateuszmrowczynski5763Fury would be a top 20 fighter in the Ali, Mike Tyson, and Lennox Lewis era.
When he destroys all top 5 heavyweight without doubt he will be great with unique story
He's not the greatest of all time, he's probably one of the best around currently for sure
One day I will be have my own documentary and my story to inspire others. Keep up the good work man this video is amazing. Thanks.
Excellent
Hey I got goose bumps reading this ..I love your confidence..god bless u my brother
Bless you.
Brought me to tears. The guy just has no quit in him. There are NO EXCUSES. I love you Francis, thank you
Nothing any opponent he ever faces says or does can ever scare this man. Dude is an absolute animal and a gentle giant at the same time. So happy he’s made it and hopefully his momma and family are living much happier and healthier lives now ❤️
For real imagine the joy his mom must’ve felt when she found out he was a world champion ❤
Your storytelling is second to none. Absolutely stupendous.
As a Nigerian, West African and African I have to say I am extremely impressed by this documentary. I'm usually iffy about documentaries about Africans/Africa done by foreigners, but this is top tier and an excellent work! You are are really good at what you do, keep up the good work.
Rooting for Francis on Saturday 💪
Im rooting for Gane but this story is still crazy all respect to him
Frans All the way
I wasn't. After watching this video it changed my opinion of Francis. Think I'm gonna place a small wager on my man this Saturday.
You already know we rooting for Francis
got the job done
Francis Ngannou is one of the most amazing, motivating, person in history, his story is just insane starting mma at age 28 and now he is champion.
wait 28?
@@irishooliganmma8609 Being homeless 10 years ago has nothing to do with the present.

Absolutely phenomenal human being.
To see the struggles he overcame, fills me with immense joy.
He deserves everything this world has in store.
God bless you Francis Ngannou
Makes me cry everytime.... I think this is my 4th time watching this....
This is one of the most powerful films I have ever seen. Period. I don't cry easily or often. I also grew up in what some might consider rough circumstances. But this mans story, and they way it was brought forth by Patrick Gavia..... unbelievable.
every time patrick uploads i click on the vid in a heartbeat. the quality and pace of his vids are unquestionable
Dude thats capitalism
We can change it. Over time if we move in the right direction. Humanity has to wake up
When he said “I knew from that moment I didn’t want to be like my dad” I felt that to my soul.
This. Is. The. Most. Impactful, Inspiring and Motivating Documentary that i've ever watched. Thank you Patrick Gavia. What a story, what a Victory. He fought against the harshest difficulties, that is why he will always win. He won his past obstacles by submission certainly because, his Reason is his Vision, his Vision is his Mission. Today, He won again. I'm proud to come from his Nation🇨🇲. Francis Ngannou, Congratulations.
This is the second video of Patrick’s that I am watching and it is beyond obvious that this man is a gifted storyteller/director. His editing extracts the pathos from every one of Francis’s words, and makes the arduous journey he endured extremely palpable in a masterful way. I will definitely be supporting through Patreon in hopes this work raises the standards for all others claiming to provide “quality content” among their channels. This is art, my friends. Please keep it coming Pat!
Really well done video Patrick. Keep up the good work!
can you open up your eyes?! This video is not Patricks Gavia's video. He is just standing there, making 1 liners - UA-cam has a serious problem with "reaction" channels. They just suck ball and put zero plus into effort.
@@clumsyberry how can you say that? all those edits he does, how he takes every clip and put i together like he recorded it the way it looks like fucking netflix he is not just standing there.
@@mobilegamesgameplays8696 i dont think this guy knows how editting works haha
@@mobilegamesgameplays8696 then u dont know the definition of a documentary..u fuckin exposing stupidity in broad daylight...this documentary is by far the best in terms of getting the depth of Nganou's story. So objective and vividly displayed with emotional clarity
For all the pain and suffering he went through just chasing his dream, it had to feel so sweet doing this for himself as well as his country. Legendary story from a Legendary fighter.
"The future does not make sense without the past"
Wise words from a true warrior.
I was first upset when Francis defeated Stipe, but now after hearing his whole story. I am glad he won. If anyone deserves that belt, it is Francis!
People see the size of his punch and the size of his muscles and think thats why he became a champion, when in reality its the sheer gargantuan size of his heart...
There is no shortage of tall men with muscles in this world... but a man who could endure what Francis has without ever wavering in his pursuit of his own envisioned destiny... ... that is unfathomably rare indeed.
and STILLLLLLLLLL you couldnt be anymore right
@@kevinetandu4744 lets go! Who woulda thought he had another tool in his belt to win fights like that now. Beautiful to see.
Francis Ngannou - "I don't what the hell is boxing but I know what is my dream and I'm gonna try."
He didn't even know what his dream really was but he knew it had something to do with fighting and that it was his dream. Imagine fighting for a dream so hard that you don't even really know much about it.
Most people like Kobe or Michael Jordan know about there dream and the sports greats and the rules of the game and the pay and the future that it could provide. Francis didn't even know any of that just decided to chase a dream he didn't even really know about 🤣
He is built different lol
@@callywetini6794 As Dana White famously said "Fighting is in our DNA"... Francis knew enough. He knew he saw Mike Tyson on VHS kicking peoples ass, and he knew he could kick some ass as well. And his intuition was quite right,. As we were famously taught by Bruce Lee- "Know Yourself"
In my honest opinion.... This production you made documenting Francis and his journey is one of my absolute favorite documentary pieces. Thank you for this you're a legend.
And Francis is an absolute legend for overcoming this journey to the top. The dream of so many people who take the journey out of their home country to greener pastures is to live a good life.

This man has motivation like no one else. When you come up from places like he has in during his childhood, you’re just built different... life builds you up in quite a different way.
You can't beat a man in a ring who has won in the game of life. For me he's among the greatest of all time in sports.
That part at 16:54 is just raw and wild… A kid throwing up salty water, a child being handed to the boat, man crying after all this horror. Just crazy to imagine how much they’ve been through in pursuit of a better life. Powerful.
that kid at 16:58 is moroccan and was taken back

This documentary is genuinely amazing. I heard about Francis’s journey a couple of times but when you make something like this it shows the art of storytelling. You have a gift bro.
For a man to go through what Francis did and to be humble as a bumblebee is impressive, such a touching
story I have much more respect for him than I had before, a true gentleman and a champion.
