Having had a life just like Tyson, just on a different scale. This has brought me to tears phenomenal documentary. Really makes you understand these people, behind the fame and news headlines is a person just like us.
I've seen a lot of footage that's part of Tyson's story that got cut together into mini documentaries, but none of them could come close to the impact of this one. The way you handle his countdown in the first comeback fight, cutting back to visual reminders of his depression's peak (partying, driving fast at the bridge, the thought of his kids, the light at the end of the tunnel), along with amazing music editing -- that's just masterful. It feels like watching a good Rocky movie. You repeatedly invoke strong emotions multiple times throughout a video. I salute your talent.
Every new documentary gets even better than the last, and that didn't seem possible given how amazing the previous documentaries were. You have an incredible way of evoking so many powerful emotions. I feel like I have a much more fundamental understanding of who Tyson Fury is as a man now, and I'm grateful for that.
Criminally underrated channel. You know a film is powerful when it has you crying tears of joy and sadness while maintaining an equal amount of action and story-building. I feel like I just watched a movie in 27 minutes. Amazing documentary. Subbed and am excited to see where this channel ends up in the future. Keep up the great work!
Patrick, this was one of the best videos i’ve ever seen on UA-cam. As someone who struggles with the same mental battles as Tyson does, I found myself crying at many moments of this documentary. You perfectly captured the emotions and feelings of being that far down, and then finding the courage to pick yourself back up- and fight against this invisible enemy! Thank you for this- I hope Tyson sees this one day!
im super happy for you guys man, i have adhd, severe depression and i had a lower level opiate addiction with kratom. i was taking up to 100g every single day with no motivation to do anything. i’d sit in my dorm room with empty kratom orange juice bottles fermenting in my room covering 90% of every desk space in my room. never washed my clothes, i wouldn’t shower or brush my teeth for weeks. i’d sit in bed all day rotting away watching youtube and taking my adderall to try and just feel SOMETHING. i never even attended a single one of my classes, i never even opened my online portal to LOOK at my work. i ate once a day always in my room filled with my kratom bottles and trash everywhere. i was dead inside. if i was in that dorm for 2 more months i would’ve 1000% killed myself. when school ended, i failed out, and I had to face my parents with my mountains of lies and failure, i quit cold turkey. It was physical hell for the first week, but my mind was always strong throughout because i could always see the light at the end of the tunnel. after the second week the physical symptoms were light, and i could feel my old self coming back. Wanting to hang out with people, having aspirations, working out, setting goals, having a working penis and sex drive again, and my hair has started growing back. It’s been 5 months ever since I quit, no slip-ups, and after the first month I don’t have any desires to go back, whenever I look back at my time with kratom it’s in disgust. I’m now going to community college to get an engineering degree and working part time as a UPS driver as a teamsters union member to pay for my college debts. Once I graduate I plan to intern as a UPS engineer and then get a job as a UPS engineer, making 100k base pay with great benefits and moving on with this terrible chapter of my life behind me. This story, and his finally getting help was one of the things that resonated with me so heavy. Last September I went and sought help as well. Came back to watch this video and was reminded. This is a journey and we have to keep going: quitting on ourselves is not an option: we can do this my friends.
