The UFC is the only high level MMA organisation that actually makes money, that is, makes a profit. Until people understand that, all their "Oh, Dana does this..." and "Oh, One has a better..." and "Oh, blah blah blah" means nothing. The rest of the promotions are either no tier for the chads of yesteryear like Bellator, but at least that - barely - makes a profit, unlike One, which is just playtime for the billionaires.

Chatri is a guy who really saw problems in Muay Thai especially how fighters are still poor even with 200-300 fights in their careers, and fixed it. Now Muay Thai is on another level that Thai people wouldn't have thought before. He really changed lots of people's life, lots of respect for the guy.

@@mileseals4838 basically the high rankers would make 250k usd to 500k usd that could have a 50k bonus per fight. compared to how much nak muays used to make... the most would probably be 300 -450 usd a fight? but you gotta understand that being a nak muay for thailanders is like an honor. plus the living cost in thailand is not as high as usa or any 1st world country. so let's say imagine being a champion and you only make 1k usd to 2k usd per fight. and they have like 200 - 300 fights their entire career. being in one change that insanely with one fight basically might = to your entire life's career.

ONE Championship totally won attention over UFC. In Facebook alone, ONE shows FREE fight videos. These are usually short fights or highlights of their longer fights. All for free. They're promoting their fighters by showcasing their life, not the drama they cause.
The fighters themselves are very respectfully towards each other. No drama, no trashtalking, just pure skill and respect. I am rooting for ONE Championship's continued success!

Not trying to argue which organization is better, but UFC have a channel on UA-cam where they regularly upload full fights for free, I don't think either ONE or UFC do it out of the kindness of their hearts, it's to promote their live events to gain higher revenues, essentially you are just describing a form of advertising they both do.
As far as the drama and trash talking goes, it's a personal preference I think. I myself enjoy a little back and forth between the fighters before they fight, especially when one of them is a jerk then get's destroyed. I love to see good fights but I don't watch MMA to know who the greatest and most respectable fighter is, I watch it to be entertained.

What an inspiring story. I started watching ONE when Mighty Mouse got traded from the UFC and I have been very impressed with their promotion. One thing I've never liked about the UFC is how Dana and the organization treats their fighters. It's refreshing to see the direction that ONE Championship is taking the fight game.

Many fighters have chosen to sign with ONE instead of UFC because they said ONE made them a better deal and treated them with respect during the negotiations, which has to count for something. As far as the toxicity and American culture, yeah there's a lot of A-holes who like the drama, but I'd say there's as many or more who want to see fighters treated well, get paid more, and want to see good sportsmanship and character both in and out of the ring. I love hearing Chatri talk about fighting, and what it's about. I couldn't agree more, it's those thing that keep me in gym's. It's a hard thing to describe and really counter intuitive to what people (who haven't trained) think. The nicest, humblest, and most down to earth people I've ever met and talked with were on a mat.
Ikigai should be taught in schools, what a good concept.

Just coming on the comments to say - this was one of the best movies I've watched all year - and it wasn't a movie. It was a documentary on UA-cam. Whoever edited this, holy shit, you should win an oscar, this was amazing, champion level, outdone yourself, incredible video!!!

This creation makes you think and contemplate very deep. It touches that place in your soul that is very hard to shake in this fast-paced world.
    The music, the scenario ...
    Well done!
I can't remember any videos on this platform, especially this long, that I have watched without skipping or pausing.
This one was watched in one breath.
    Mad respect.
    Thank you!

Unfortunately, all of Chatri's story, comes straight from him.
It would be cool to see someone dig into this story, instead of just repeating the same stories Chatri tells in all of his interviews.

Normally I consume documentaries while on the go. Basically listening them like an audio book and occasionally watching the scenes during the interesting parts. But today I realized when I watch your videos I really wanna make time and watch the video in its entirety.
