He is the true GOAT. To overcome so much tragedies and hard life. Just how I see why DC is the light-heavyweight and heavyweight goat
Khabib aint even close.... cant become a GOAT when almost all fights are decisions and you never gone from being a loser to a winner (IMO) That 0 losses doesnt mean anything, that is just privilege for fighting fighters who are out of their prime

@@nr1NPC That's an objective viewpoint but valid. Seeing how a fighter overcomes loss is very much a real aspect of the sport. It's why people still clamour for guys like Silva and GSP as the GOATs.

I'm from Brazil and his research is horrible, idk who you are or your experience, but he only put the reality of Rio while talking about S. Paulo, no image or documentary about São Paulo's favelas were shown, only Rio, and they're very different from one another.
Also the lies about "violent police action", it's not like the drug dealers literally do terrorism in Brazil and have heavy armament that forces the police to go up a favela just to apprehend it.
Another point at the start is the "military regime" thing, idk where this guy took this bs but it's a lie also.
The history about the favelas are completely wrong too, this is not how every favela started, and not even how the first favela surged.
Throughout the "documentarie" he will show and narrate several things about Rio that doesn't exist or have links to Charles history, specially since he's from São Paulo.

This was beautiful, Patrick. I love these documentaries and now you’ve covered my #1 favorite UFC fighter, actual chills. I remember meeting Charles a few weeks ago at UFC 273, and I told him in Portuguese how he is an inspiration to me and so many. He smiled so wide and pat my belly before taking a picture with me. The energy and sheer will is so palpable when you meet this man, and I truly believe Do Bronx will make history in the UFC. Hell, he already has. A Favela Venceu 🇧🇷

loved the documentary, but just a heads up, the favelas that Charles was raised in aren't as violent as Rio favelas, which are by far the most violent in the country, it's there where we have this "warfare" between criminal factions and police since forever, but even nowadays things are way more controlled in these places in Rio than it was before, i'm just saying this because your explanation of what happens in Brazil (which unlike majority of foreigners think isn't only Rio de Janeiro but a huge country with more than 213 million people and a bunch of other big cities) is very exaggerated in some parts and focus mostly in Rio as always, we don't live in a warzone, yes there are violence problems in the whole country but not to that extent, even in Rio crime is mostly in the favelas, the problem with Charles upbringing was much more related to poverty which is actually the biggest problem in these communities than actually with violence, favelas are similar to american ghettos, high poverty and violence, but not an actual war like a lot of foreigners think, that's not true, and btw not all favelas are structured as the ones in Rio, we just call every poor community a Favela nowadays
TL;DR: the favelas from where Charles came from aren't the same as the ones shown in this documentary, they're poverty ridden but not as violent or dominated from factions like the ones in Rio, and favelas aren't all structured the same, nowadays the definition of favelas are just very poor communities

Just for those who might interest, the Police Pacification Unit, or as we called here UPP, were initially a “good” program.
The police drove the organized crime away from the favela, unfortunately at the cost of lots civilian lives. But the thing is, after that the Government, the State it self, did not occupy the favelas. The void left by the organized crime was filled with enough projects to really make a difference in those people lives. They were really left behind.
So, soon enough, the Organized Crime came again, corrupting and killing the police man and reestablishing the former status quo.
This goes fucking deeper, because the organized crime in the favelas works in political campaigns, collecting and demanding votes from the people for the politician who “sided” with them.

8:14 " shows a bandit on the hill shooting anywhere, this shot takes innocent people and kills people.
14:32 - The president just came in and you're talking as if he was the culprit. Are you crazy???? Talking bad about the president like that. Brazil was in the shit with the COMMUNIST presidents DILMA AND LULA. Crimes and deaths in the past were gigantic and now you put together a video blaming the current president? President Bolsonaro is trying to correct past management mistakes. For the love of God !!!! You put parts of videos of the president completely out of context and out of the current moment in Brazil. In the video it appears that the current president is to blame for the deaths. I did not like that !! Seriously, in this part you sinned a lot. 😡😡😡😡😡 Search on google: Jose Aldo and Bolsonaro
You will see an MMA legend along with the current president. José Aldo would never date a bad person. For the love of God. Let's put our hand on conscience and make honest personal video.
16:29 - In this part the president is talking about fighting the bad guys the same way you fight in the USA.
Once again you are inserting parts of President Bolsonaro's speeches out of any context for the purpose of the video. Even Charles Oliveira likes the current president, just like the UFC's Jose Aldo and Paulo Costa like the president. 😡😡😡 You are using the story of Charles Oliveira as an ideological political springboard to speak ill of the president of Brazil.
