Completely underrated video really appreciate this connection between the two movies and how society in general has these set of rules that can be broken but necessarily not really broken if it was never addressed. Great video!
This is so fascinating. I think the new Matrix film actually gives a new implication to the idea of choice that fits with your thesis too. In Resurrections, the "choice" is compeltely withheld, instead of choosing to go down the rabbit hole the world is forced down it by a system that appeals to their emotion in order to overwhelm their sense of choice and instead opt to be perpetually triggered. It's far more effective to control the masses if instead of offering people choice you offer them a "clickbait" reality that hooks people in to an algorithm where every choice they make to stay in the matrix is an emotionaly triggered one and not a logical one, so there is never a choice to begin with. I feel like those are the new rules of society in a world where much of what we interact with is online and where it's very easy to find yourself in an echo chamber, never seeing past your own world views or opinions becuase youre surrounded by others who reinforce it. There is no option to even consent to engaging with the content, and the opt out button is always there. The Matrix has just distracted you and averted your attention.
@@SaySomethingMedia_ I didn’t really touch on any of that stuff so after seeing it you should make a round 2 on this concept if you’re so inclined. Got yourself a new sub!
This is the second video of yours that I've watched (first was the Candyman video), and I loved it! The script is great, informative and easy to follow. You have yourself a new subscriber!
