Great advice. If you really want the new super duty, order the one you don't really want just so you can get it sooner. If I'm paying new truck money, it's going to be exactly what I want.
I love everything about these new trucks, but was already at my ceiling when I bought my 2020 6.7. Glad I'm not in the market now. Same for same, a similar new XLT is now nearly $80k vs my sticker at $65k (which I got for $58k). Those times seem to be gone. Have fun folks. I used to upgrade on a fairly regular basis, but I'm already calling this my last truck purchase.
I just purchased a 24 XLT with the premium package, FX 4 off road package and it had the B&O system, long story short I had a 23 F350 that ended up being a lemon 1500 miles and no one could figure out a charging system fault, dropped off at dealer April 03, 2024 declared a lemon I went through the whole Ford buy back program as well, decided to get another Ford the one I got I believe was a custom order that was never picked up cause it was nowhere listed for sale. Anyway tons of options, a crew cab with the 8 foot bed as well, not that I was looking for that but it had it and it was not a deal breaker, plus if you order it the 8 foot bed is only like 200 dollar difference. How to order a new Super Duty? I don't know why anyone is buying any new vehicles right now. Unless you have a business that is going to give you a good return on the cost this is good way to go broke.
No what everyone should do is not order or buy any new trucks until they come down from the house cost zone and more to a truck cost. What they are asking for these trucks these days is absurd. I believe you should be able to spend your money like you want, but people buying these things personally on payments are crazy right now! They don't realize what they could actually be doing with that money to first protect their futures.
I don’t understand how they can come out with a new superduty when there’s so many sitting in lots with no chips….but yet built some of these new ones with chips that should’ve been allocated to other peoples trucks that have been sitting in the speedway forever…
I'm guessing that they got around that. I figured at some point that they would. And when the chips finally get installed. They get them taken care of asap. Makes sense to me. And yet it could be something totally different. I'm not concerned. They had to come up with something.
As always an informative video from Mitchell, however considering what Ford will charge for these trucks, customers should be able to order them in the configuration they want and not what’s easiest for Ford to build, the advantage of a Job 2 truck is that (hopefully) any production issues with the job 1’s should be resolved before they start job 2 production, reducing recalls, which going on Ford’s recent efforts, might be the way to go, plus I would like to see what sort of numbers the trucks are putting out for payload, towing and engine etc before placing an order, as annoying as it is to have to wait a long time for a new truck, I would rather get something I really want than to settle for what they can produce quickly

500hp and 1200ftlbs on the high output, same as last years numbers for the regular powerstrokes, 7.3 get a bump in torque to 485 and the new 6.8 is like 405hp 445 torque
If you read the towing, it's 40,000 lbs on the higher end, so I would get the high output Diesel for any dually or large tow config and get the Gas HO for any F250/F350 Tremor package which is much better for off-road use! If you order a Tremor package, see if you can get the dealer to put on 35 or 37 inch Goodyear Duratracs or Nitto EXO Grappler tires. Those larger 3-peak winter rated tires will DEFINITELY make a difference, especially if you are in the Northern mountain States such as Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana or in the supercold midwest and northeast heavy snow winter states (Wisconsin, Illinois, Mighigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Vermont, Maine, upper New York, etc.) 35's fit easily but 37's need a bit of a wheel-well mod or an extra one to two inch lift! One thing I would DEFINITELY DO on any one of your purchases is do a spray-on coating of Line-X brand truck bed liner on the ENTIRE underbody, wheels wells, other underbody exposed parts such as teh entire ladder frame, drive shafts and transfer case and even on all the engine bay walls to prevent road salt and salt-water corrosion on your expensive new truck! The thicker coats of Line-X even help with road noise mitigation! v
I attempted to order a 2023 yesterday at Stokes Hodge Ford in Graniteville SC. I was immediately presented a $10,000 markup so I walked out. Interest rates are going up fast so be careful where you order. FInance rates will likely be close to 8-10% by the spring of next year. That will add a couple hundred dollars or more to your payment. Also, your trade in will no longer be appreciating but depreciating. Once again, be careful with your expectations.
I always walk out too when they mark up the price. It's complete BS and the government does nothing about. I know Ram and Chevy also mark up but Ford is the worst
Upfitter switches... If the truck doesn't have em, don't get it... Those are an absolute MUST, even if you don't THINK you're gonna need em... It's a $75 option that costs around $1500 to add later on.. Just do yourself a favor and pay the $75 to get em from the factory...
I drive a Platinum 350 SRW and have a snowplow to push for the state. The max recline seat is gonna be heaven when I'm out on duty for 36 hours straight!!
Great looking truck and a great video. There is quite a bit of hype around the 40K gooseneck tow capacity which I find somewhat irrelevant since you have to give up quite a bit to reduce weight and meet that capacity. Sure it is awesome, however, three of the options you are giving up are the spare tire which is essential for traveling long distances, it has to be a 4x2, and also a regular cab. Basically, this capacity can only be met in the XL package since all the others are standard 4x4, and I don't see very many investing in an F450 that is only two-wheel drive and a regular cab. unless they opt. for a cab chassis configuration with a short flatbed. In my opinion, don't focus on the 40K lbs. when purchasing a truck as the standard 32,500 lbs. towing capacity in the F450 Crew Cab 4x4 configuration in 2019 has only increased to 32,600 lbs capacity for 2020 thru 2023 which is sufficient for most. The 6.7 and 6.7 HP option does not change this capacity. And towing large loads with a shorter wheelbase is not as comfortable as having a longer wheelbase, especially during long distances. Sure it is a great claim but probably won't sell very many of the required packages. I have a 2020 F450 4x4 Superduty XLT Crew Cab, 8' Box with the 6.7l and a CGVW of 43,500 lbs. I haul a 5th-wheel trailer, also gooseneck cattle trailer, and a very large flatbed hay trailer. Fully loaded and have not come within a ton of the CGVW, Payload, or Tow capacity. As mentioned in the video, I would opt for the popular crew cab 4x4 6 and 3/4 box or bump up to the 8'box for extra clearance if you do a lot of hauling.

Ain't even in the market for a F250 and by the time you said you'll sell at MSRP you won me over. Nothing but the best for the honest folks at your business and anyone that doesn't adhere to the insane markups that dealerships are dropping into already expensive vehicles.
You’re happy to pay MSRP? Just be patient and do your research because you can still get below MSRP. There are dealers giving anywhere between 2000-5000 below MSRP if ordered through them.
Just picked up my 6.7 F250 Lariat with Ultimate Package and cannot be more pleased. The look, ride, power output, technology, is just unbelievable. While super expensive, I think it should last me 15 good years. Picked up the unlimited year 150k mile bumper to bumper warranty as well. Beautiful and amazing truck.
If you’re really selling at MSRP, and can find me an F-150 Lariat w/ the high Tremor package or King Ranch, Platinum with the 5.0L, I’ll drive from Louisiana to buy it from you. Tired of the dealers adding a 5% or more “vehicle shortage fee” to trucks. Seems like price gouging to me. Regardless it will come back to bite them in the long run.
Ford really took a giant step backwards on some design features in this redesign: • The box step and bumper side step are features that maybe 1% of folks will use but makes the truck look ugly. You are not going to lift anything heavy so those steps are pretty much worrhless!! Make it an option and clean up the look in 2024! • The digital instruments probably offer more display screens but come on Ford, stop with the clown like speedo & tach with bar graphs with numbers in the center of the round dials!!! Take a look at what Porsche does in their 911 cars and just copy it if it is beyond your designer's capability!!! • Keep the front end design uniform and stop making 1000 variations! No wonder you can't keep costs down and these truck will top $100K for a Lariet in 2029!!! We all know costs are out of control at Ford as you have already started massive layoffs!!! Having 1000 variations on the front end design doesn't make you look stylish but rather, it make you look like you don't know what you are doing and have no confidence in your designs!!!
I don't mind 4wd being standard, the twin traction beam front on the 2wd models was never the greatest front end to have. Mainly the whole reason I got 4wd trucks even though I really don't need it for my needs. I would prefer they elaborate on the F150 front suspension design and incorporate that into superdutys. The offroad guys might bitch about it but it would make it a so much better driving truck on the pavement towing.
So are the over 53k super duty trucks needing chips in Kentucky going to be sold as used? If so when? How can Ford release 2023s prior to the 2022s get fully built?

My dad just ordered a f350 long bed lariat his first new truck since his 2005 f350 he still has. It will definitely be an upgrade. As for me I’m sticking with my 2005 f350 diesel I can’t justify the payment or the unreliability of the diesel emissions
Right. Getting 8k off sticker for an 80k truck used to be normal… now you pay MSRP and that price is way up. I built the same truck in 2019 and just recently for an XL and the price went from 49k to 56k and that’s their base level trim.

I work at a Ford supplier where we supply components for the Super Duty. Ford will be assembling and shipping 2022 SD’s from Louisville until the middle of Jan due to the parts shortages. 2023 models will not even start production until Feb since it is a platform change. Don’t hold your breath.
Probably not. My super duty was built mid September and there is no delivery date in sight! So I’m figuring mine is buried somewhere in that speedway as well .. very frustrating to say the least. This is the first time in my life that I have custom ordered a vehicle and I will never do it again. In fact a friend of mine works for AT&T in Louisville and he says that there are super duty stored all over that town including the airport.
I work for a supplier that makes components for Superduty’s. Here is the skinny: In order to not idle the assembly line, Ford is assembling trucks that are missing what is considered minor components or add ons such as a Ford Badge or a spray in bed liner. The trucks roll of the line and skip quality control sampling. They are then stored out of doors until the parts arrive. When the parts arrive, outside contract temp workers are then used to put on the parts to avoid union labor. Once completed and the trucks are marked for shipment. Once again, quality control sampling is avoided. Get the picture? Ford will be assembling and shipping 2022’s until mid January of 2023. So if you have an order for a 2022 you could still get it by Jan or later depending on method of shipment. When you get it I would function check every feature and component before you accept. Warranty work is completed at the convenience of the dealer, not your convenience.

I had seen a video on UA-cam for the that “Outdoors with the Morgan’s” had done about a month ago showing all the trucks at KMS. I had ordered a 2021 F150 at the beginning of this madness, but told the dealer to just forget it. I like not having a truck payment a lot better anyway. If I had to pick a new truck right now it would be a 2014 F150 CC 5.0 4x4. Those are great trucks.

If you want to blame, blame the American work ethics and culture. If this was a Korean Company in Korea, they will work 24 hours a day to speed up the assembly line. What percentage of white do you see working lots O/T and weekends compare to many Asians. I put my order in for 2023 F450 Limited on Oct 28th and got the email confirmation from Ford on 30th. I am shooting to get it around April 2023.
Why is Ford forcing you to get the HO diesel if you want the Tremor Package with the diesel option??? You can’t get the current 6.7 with the Tremor Package anymore. Will you be able to in the future? It’s pretty ridiculous that if you want a diesel with the Tremor they are forcing you to pay an additional $2500 when there is no reason whatsoever you couldn’t get the normal 6.7 diesel like before.
My order is placed... been placed since october...October....!! I better get it before the upper trim levels... Ford was ready to take my order. They took it!! They said the order banks are open! They delayed it several times... NOW THEY CAN'T DELIVER! I do not want to sacrifice on things I want... for the price I'm paying to do things trucks do!!! they should price living their pre-orders since they can't deliver in a timely fashion.. Ford is passing me off and they need to show appreciation to their fan base.

No...this is just an awful design. It's quarky and weak and unmatched. The badges even suck. Looks like they were taken off 2 different models. 2 different designers? The foot step on side is obnoxiously loud and ugly. Could have just extended the step rail and it would have been way more graceful. The nose looks like is was retrofitted off a 1990s chevy van. Ford did what Toyota did to their awesome Tundra truck design and bastardized it. I'm a graphic designer, and this here looks like what I've seen many times in my career...this is the result of what's called "design by committee". Where everyone has to have their 2 cents added here or there, and you have an end product that is visually incoherent or unmatched. It's why it looks like it was assembled from all different parts off different vehicles. Can still oder your 2022 asap!!!!! Same drive train.
So I guess I’ll be ordering a XLT sport appearance package and the Ultimate package, with a 7.3L and 4:30 gears. It sounds like the perfect truck. Everything i want and nothing I don’t. 👌
I purchased a brand new 2020 F250 with the 7.3 L gas. It's a beautiful truck, the engine is strong and it was much less money than a new diesel. BUT, I would never buy it again. I get 7.9 mpg around town, not towing. And 6.2 mpg towing 6200 lbs. And the 10-speed transmission has had nothing but problems/ malfunctions ever since it was new. I don't mean to be negative, but this is a real world review

Wishing he talked about the LED headlamps and availability on the different trim levels. All the tech is OK but for safety driving at night the halogen headlamps just suck. I will not ever buy another truck that does not have LED headlamps factory installed. And they should be projectors not just reflectors also.

I'd like to start by saying even though I don't live in Alabama, I wish there was someone like you here to be so honest and helpful. Considering still reaching out to you instead of the Ford dealers here. You made me GENUINELY more excited for the 2023, but now as we get deeper into customization, I'm just entirely bummed out by this truck again. It's a love hate relationship, really. I've been looking at the 2022 seeing what packages I want, and I was hoping that they transferred the availability over to the 2023 year. 2023 is the model I'll have to order (I'm much displeased by it as you'll be able to tell), and it's got to be a DRW, 4.10 limited slip, Diesel engine, and it's got to look nice to drive as my sole transport outside of heavy work. Ford just doesn't seem interested in selling their DRWs. I'm interested in a sport package, but I'll need the power and the capability of a DRW to move cattle. They're just putting too many requirements to their packages, even if it's due to availability. I don't want to have to aftermarket my truck because I'm unhappy with all the blazing chrome when I'd rather prefer a more "sport" style (I'd already be spending enough money as it is!). Last year's 2022 XLT F350 was capable of 35,000 pounds gooseneck towing in either 4x2 or 4x4, so long as it came with DRWs, a 4.10 limited slip axle ratio, and a 6.7L v8 Turbo. You could get basically everything on a Lariat, except LED headlights, put on an XLT. Now, you go to their website, (which isn't the best since the 2023 is still early development) but you don't see the Premium XLT package, you don't get some of the quality like a moon roof, and they deleted Sync3 with voice navigation out of the XLT. Yes, you can get Sync4 optional on the XL and XLT, but only for an 8" screen that doesn't include voice activated navigation, which I'd have to get a Lariat for. Really, my slogan since I've seen the 2023 has been "I like the box, slap a 2022 cab in front". Maybe it's just because I haven't spoken to a dealer as the ones around here try selling you things you don't need, but if I really had someone to talk with about all this we'd find a solution.
i believe the reason for these big delays on these vehicles and many others is cause of the chip shortage, the chip shortage was the money wrench thrown into our system period.
Just to let you know, I ordered a 2023 F-350 Lariat Crew Cab, short bed, with everything that could be installed. I got the 6.7 HO. The order was place on April 7, 2023. Ford notified me on April 22 that the truck had been scheduled for production with a build date of May 5, 2023. This truck was ordered in Southern California. I am waiting for the notification that the build was done today. I will let you know.
I don’t see the black appearance package the Ford website. I see the sport appearance package but i don’t want that one because i don’t like the grill. I want the black appearance package.
Finally got my Bronco after two years. Originally wanted a Badlands but when I reordered in October 21 I went with the Black Diamond with fewer options but at least I go the hardtop and a tow package. We did the Off Roadeo in MOAB in October, that was a great experience. I ordered a F150 a year ago this month and it still has not shown up. I started with the Lariat package but after I added some options I realized I was paying almost as much as the Platinum trim so I went with that. I got the window sticker back in August with a blend (build date) of early August. I guess that truck is sitting in some lot waiting for the last few parts. They had already deleted a number of my options. I will probably pass on it. How can they still call it a 2022. Dealer told me the same thing last year, now the time to get my order in. No big deal, I'm having fun with the Bronco.
For the f250 xlt, 7.3 w 4.30 rear and Tremor package, how do I get front led headlights and fogs? I don’t want sport or premium packages. Box lights and cab markers are led. Will a dealer install led headlights/fog before delivery?

Can you order 2 tone paint? My current KR edition has 2 tone and everyone, including myself, LOVES this truck......... I would like to try and get the same coloring that way, I don't have to repaint my bumper(s).........Hoping they will fit coming from a 2017 F259 Also, seat Massagers. My help due to my wife's hip and my 2 spinal surgeries..... Brother had his truck stolen (they actually recovered it) in San Antonio. They parked the truck and were given wrong room. He went out to get the truck and move closer to his room. The truck was GONE!!!!
I wonder how much for the 6.7. $120.000?. I'll keep my 1999 ford f 275 it's modified, I can run with the nasty diesel or vegetable oil with no modification to the engine. Full tank 24 gallons = 800 miles on vegetable oil.

Upfitter switches... If the truck doesn't have em, don't get it... Those are an absolute MUST, even if you don't THINK you're gonna need em... It's a $75 option that costs around $1500 to add later on.. Just do yourself a favor and pay the $75 to get em from the factory...
I drive a Platinum 350 SRW and have a snowplow to push for the state. The max recline seat is gonna be heaven when I'm out on duty for 36 hours straight!!
Great looking truck and a great video. There is quite a bit of hype around the 40K gooseneck tow capacity which I find somewhat irrelevant since you have to give up quite a bit to reduce weight and meet that capacity. Sure it is awesome, however, three of the options you are giving up are the spare tire which is essential for traveling long distances, it has to be a 4x2, and also a regular cab. Basically, this capacity can only be met in the XL package since all the others are standard 4x4, and I don't see very many investing in an F450 that is only two-wheel drive and a regular cab. unless they opt. for a cab chassis configuration with a short flatbed. In my opinion, don't focus on the 40K lbs. when purchasing a truck as the standard 32,500 lbs. towing capacity in the F450 Crew Cab 4x4 configuration in 2019 has only increased to 32,600 lbs capacity for 2020 thru 2023 which is sufficient for most. The 6.7 and 6.7 HP option does not change this capacity. And towing large loads with a shorter wheelbase is not as comfortable as having a longer wheelbase, especially during long distances. Sure it is a great claim but probably won't sell very many of the required packages. I have a 2020 F450 4x4 Superduty XLT Crew Cab, 8' Box with the 6.7l and a CGVW of 43,500 lbs. I haul a 5th-wheel trailer, also gooseneck cattle trailer, and a very large flatbed hay trailer. Fully loaded and have not come within a ton of the CGVW, Payload, or Tow capacity. As mentioned in the video, I would opt for the popular crew cab 4x4 6 and 3/4 box or bump up to the 8'box for extra clearance if you do a lot of hauling.
FORD STATED about 90% of its Super Duty truck owners TOW with their vehicle... I'll be dammed if I can't order my freaking 90+ thousand dollar truck with a tow package!!! You are a BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY!!! FIX IT!! reduce the price then.... it's insulting to pay their frivolous charges that they tac on.... and I don't want to do without options that I want because Ford can't deliver! I don't get a vehicle every other year.... I'm around 10 - 15 years...

You’re happy to pay MSRP? Just be patient and do your research because you can still get below MSRP. There are dealers giving anywhere between 2000-5000 below MSRP if ordered through them.

Just picked up my 6.7 F250 Lariat with Ultimate Package and cannot be more pleased. The look, ride, power output, technology, is just unbelievable. While super expensive, I think it should last me 15 good years. Picked up the unlimited year 150k mile bumper to bumper warranty as well. Beautiful and amazing truck.

Ford really took a giant step backwards on some design features in this redesign:
• The box step and bumper side step are features that maybe 1% of folks will use but makes the truck look ugly. You are not going to lift anything heavy so those steps are pretty much worrhless!! Make it an option and clean up the look in 2024!
• The digital instruments probably offer more display screens but come on Ford, stop with the clown like speedo & tach with bar graphs with numbers in the center of the round dials!!! Take a look at what Porsche does in their 911 cars and just copy it if it is beyond your designer's capability!!!
• Keep the front end design uniform and stop making 1000 variations! No wonder you can't keep costs down and these truck will top $100K for a Lariet in 2029!!! We all know costs are out of control at Ford as you have already started massive layoffs!!! Having 1000 variations on the front end design doesn't make you look stylish but rather, it make you look like you don't know what you are doing and have no confidence in your designs!!!
Bologna. Tons of people use the box and bumper steps. The height of these bedsides make them damn near required.
I don't mind 4wd being standard, the twin traction beam front on the 2wd models was never the greatest front end to have. Mainly the whole reason I got 4wd trucks even though I really don't need it for my needs.
I would prefer they elaborate on the F150 front suspension design and incorporate that into superdutys. The offroad guys might bitch about it but it would make it a so much better driving truck on the pavement towing.

Those won't be sold as used. People still will buy them in 2022. Not everyone wants a 2023, especially with price increases.

My dad just ordered a f350 long bed lariat his first new truck since his 2005 f350 he still has. It will definitely be an upgrade. As for me I’m sticking with my 2005 f350 diesel I can’t justify the payment or the unreliability of the diesel emissions

Right. Getting 8k off sticker for an 80k truck used to be normal… now you pay MSRP and that price is way up. I built the same truck in 2019 and just recently for an XL and the price went from 49k to 56k and that’s their base level trim.

I work at a Ford supplier where we supply components for the Super Duty. Ford will be assembling and shipping 2022 SD’s from Louisville until the middle of Jan due to the parts shortages. 2023 models will not even start production until Feb since it is a platform change. Don’t hold your breath.
These videos are incredible. With that being said I have no intention of buying a new truck. I'm happy with my paid off 2011 f150 5.0 4x4.

How about the 30-40k 2022 Super Duties that were stored Kentucky Speedway about a month ago. Have they been delivered to dealers yet?
Probably not. My super duty was built mid September and there is no delivery date in sight! So I’m figuring mine is buried somewhere in that speedway as well .. very frustrating to say the least. This is the first time in my life that I have custom ordered a vehicle and I will never do it again. In fact a friend of mine works for AT&T in Louisville and he says that there are super duty stored all over that town including the airport.
I work for a supplier that makes components for Superduty’s. Here is the skinny: In order to not idle the assembly line, Ford is assembling trucks that are missing what is considered minor components or add ons such as a Ford Badge or a spray in bed liner. The trucks roll of the line and skip quality control sampling. They are then stored out of doors until the parts arrive. When the parts arrive, outside contract temp workers are then used to put on the parts to avoid union labor. Once completed and the trucks are marked for shipment. Once again, quality control sampling is avoided. Get the picture? Ford will be assembling and shipping 2022’s until mid January of 2023. So if you have an order for a 2022 you could still get it by Jan or later depending on method of shipment. When you get it I would function check every feature and component before you accept. Warranty work is completed at the convenience of the dealer, not your convenience.

I had seen a video on UA-cam for the that “Outdoors with the Morgan’s” had done about a month ago showing all the trucks at KMS. I had ordered a 2021 F150 at the beginning of this madness, but told the dealer to just forget it. I like not having a truck payment a lot better anyway. If I had to pick a new truck right now it would be a 2014 F150 CC 5.0 4x4. Those are great trucks.
@@skoffco it will work out lot better. No companies, large or small, intentionally try to hurt their customer bases. Ford will do their utmost best. Supply side is improving. If you want to blame, blame the American work ethics and culture. If this was a Korean Company in Korea, they will work 24 hours a day to speed up the assembly line. What percentage of white do you see working lots O/T and weekends compare to many Asians. I put my order in for 2023 F450 Limited on Oct 28th and got the email confirmation from Ford on 30th. I am shooting to get it around April 2023.

Why is Ford forcing you to get the HO diesel if you want the Tremor Package with the diesel option??? You can’t get the current 6.7 with the Tremor Package anymore. Will you be able to in the future? It’s pretty ridiculous that if you want a diesel with the Tremor they are forcing you to pay an additional $2500 when there is no reason whatsoever you couldn’t get the normal 6.7 diesel like before.

My order is placed... been placed since october...October....!! I better get it before the upper trim levels... Ford was ready to take my order. They took it!! They said the order banks are open! They delayed it several times... NOW THEY CAN'T DELIVER! I do not want to sacrifice on things I want... for the price I'm paying to do things trucks do!!! they should price living their pre-orders since they can't deliver in a timely fashion.. Ford is passing me off and they need to show appreciation to their fan base.

No...this is just an awful design. It's quarky and weak and unmatched. The badges even suck. Looks like they were taken off 2 different models. 2 different designers? The foot step on side is obnoxiously loud and ugly. Could have just extended the step rail and it would have been way more graceful. The nose looks like is was retrofitted off a 1990s chevy van. Ford did what Toyota did to their awesome Tundra truck design and bastardized it. I'm a graphic designer, and this here looks like what I've seen many times in my career...this is the result of what's called "design by committee". Where everyone has to have their 2 cents added here or there, and you have an end product that is visually incoherent or unmatched. It's why it looks like it was assembled from all different parts off different vehicles. Can still oder your 2022 asap!!!!! Same drive train.
So I guess I’ll be ordering a XLT sport appearance package and the Ultimate package, with a 7.3L and 4:30 gears. It sounds like the perfect truck. Everything i want and nothing I don’t. 👌
I purchased a brand new 2020 F250 with the 7.3 L gas. It's a beautiful truck, the engine is strong and it was much less money than a new diesel. BUT, I would never buy it again. I get 7.9 mpg around town, not towing. And 6.2 mpg towing 6200 lbs. And the 10-speed transmission has had nothing but problems/ malfunctions ever since it was new. I don't mean to be negative, but this is a real world review

I have a 2023 F350 7.3l, 4.30 gears, tremor, and I get 11.2MPG in the city, love it!

Wishing he talked about the LED headlamps and availability on the different trim levels. All the tech is OK but for safety driving at night the halogen headlamps just suck. I will not ever buy another truck that does not have LED headlamps factory installed. And they should be projectors not just reflectors also.

I'd like to start by saying even though I don't live in Alabama, I wish there was someone like you here to be so honest and helpful. Considering still reaching out to you instead of the Ford dealers here. You made me GENUINELY more excited for the 2023, but now as we get deeper into customization, I'm just entirely bummed out by this truck again. It's a love hate relationship, really.
I've been looking at the 2022 seeing what packages I want, and I was hoping that they transferred the availability over to the 2023 year. 2023 is the model I'll have to order (I'm much displeased by it as you'll be able to tell), and it's got to be a DRW, 4.10 limited slip, Diesel engine, and it's got to look nice to drive as my sole transport outside of heavy work. Ford just doesn't seem interested in selling their DRWs. I'm interested in a sport package, but I'll need the power and the capability of a DRW to move cattle. They're just putting too many requirements to their packages, even if it's due to availability. I don't want to have to aftermarket my truck because I'm unhappy with all the blazing chrome when I'd rather prefer a more "sport" style (I'd already be spending enough money as it is!).
Last year's 2022 XLT F350 was capable of 35,000 pounds gooseneck towing in either 4x2 or 4x4, so long as it came with DRWs, a 4.10 limited slip axle ratio, and a 6.7L v8 Turbo. You could get basically everything on a Lariat, except LED headlights, put on an XLT. Now, you go to their website, (which isn't the best since the 2023 is still early development) but you don't see the Premium XLT package, you don't get some of the quality like a moon roof, and they deleted Sync3 with voice navigation out of the XLT. Yes, you can get Sync4 optional on the XL and XLT, but only for an 8" screen that doesn't include voice activated navigation, which I'd have to get a Lariat for.
Really, my slogan since I've seen the 2023 has been "I like the box, slap a 2022 cab in front". Maybe it's just because I haven't spoken to a dealer as the ones around here try selling you things you don't need, but if I really had someone to talk with about all this we'd find a solution.
i believe the reason for these big delays on these vehicles and many others is cause of the chip shortage, the chip shortage was the money wrench thrown into our system period.

Just to let you know, I ordered a 2023 F-350 Lariat Crew Cab, short bed, with everything that could be installed. I got the 6.7 HO. The order was place on April 7, 2023. Ford notified me on April 22 that the truck had been scheduled for production with a build date of May 5, 2023. This truck was ordered in Southern California. I am waiting for the notification that the build was done today. I will let you know.

Finally got my Bronco after two years. Originally wanted a Badlands but when I reordered in October 21 I went with the Black Diamond with fewer options but at least I go the hardtop and a tow package. We did the Off Roadeo in MOAB in October, that was a great experience. I ordered a F150 a year ago this month and it still has not shown up. I started with the Lariat package but after I added some options I realized I was paying almost as much as the Platinum trim so I went with that. I got the window sticker back in August with a blend (build date) of early August. I guess that truck is sitting in some lot waiting for the last few parts. They had already deleted a number of my options. I will probably pass on it. How can they still call it a 2022. Dealer told me the same thing last year, now the time to get my order in. No big deal, I'm having fun with the Bronco.

I wonder how much for the 6.7. $120.000?. I'll keep my 1999 ford f 275 it's modified, I can run with the nasty diesel or vegetable oil with no modification to the engine. Full tank 24 gallons = 800 miles on vegetable oil.
