I will die on this hill, Estepario is head and shoulders above every other drummer on the planet right now. He is changing the perception of live vs programmed drums in real time and it is a fucking privilege to be witnessing his rise.
What makes you feel he’s better than Eric Harland or Bill Stewart?
It’s true. I just saw him 2 days ago and from what I have seen he is the most talented and innovative drummer I have seen.
@@rudeboyjim2684 They're good, really good, but Estepario has some crazy precision. Dude basically goes deep meditative when he plays and becomes the drums
Lñ
Yes man ! Well said . This guy is just the best I’ve ever heard.
Lifelong drummer here. It's the posture coupled with the complete and total efficiency of movement for me. That amount of power with zero wasted energy blows my mind.
Yea, this guy is so relaxed and smooth in his movements. Neil Peart had to take classes with Peter Erskine to loosen up, but this guy seems to have it just naturally. Which, of course, is due to him doing his 10.000 hours of practicing with the single goal of getting better.
Buen aporte!! Gran trabajo!
I totally agree. Look how centred his trunk remains. Totally conscious.
I’ll take your word for it. As a non drummer, it blows me in half. It’s just ridiculously good.
I'm not a drummer (always wanted to), but always gmfavored great drummers, & while I love drummers that show their energy & passion, yet his efficacy & calmness on highly technical pieces is just beautiful to watch. I appreciate it on some videos where he wipes his brow afterwards just so we know he is human.
This drummer has put every single drummer on notice. A game changer.... the kind of talent that influences generations!
I think he "just" spends most of the day playing and trying stuff out. Playing in a successful band is limiting. You're on tour, playing the same songs over and over again, traveling and all that. Fans want you to keep playing a certain style, the other band members have their influence etc.
Of course talent takes a part in it. Some people will never get to his level, but it's mostly just extremely hard work. That's the good thing about social media. Sometimes people can just make money through pure skill. He can keep his passion going and get rich doing it
I haven’t stopped watching him play the drums for like 4 days straight now.. I normally hate when a classic song is done differently and even if the original band is the one doing the song different but what he adds to all these iconic classic songs is absolutely amazing…I haven’t heard a version he does that I didn’t like better than the original… the guy is outstanding! He has a very humble likable personality too.
I'm not a drummer but somehow gotten sucked into a drumming vortex in my youtube feed. Even From the first video of this guy that popped up on my screen, I could tell a dramatic difference between him and every other drummer, not because of all his fancy tricks but because every single sound is clean and precise. Even without watching, it just sounds so different. You hear every individual sound. Amazing.
Glad I didn't spend 15 minutes trying (and failing) to say what you did, exactly!
Same!
Im 2 weeks behind you 😂
Absolute same ! I fell into the drumming matrix and am not leaving it anytime soon ! 😅
this dude and chad smith doing 30 seconds to Mars. I watch daily now. have you seen the chad smith video?
I caught that right off the bat, he is insane. I played for 23 years and Estepario is an absolute drum GOD and maybe the absolute BEST tech drummer I've ever seen, hands down. Every video I watch with this guy amazes me more and more.
Not only is he technically sound but his muscle memory is incredible, he does it with his eyes closed and flips his sticks and catches them also with his eyes closed.
I'd love to hear ES' input on how much of it is muscle memory versus sheer concentration. You see a lot of youtube drummers cheesing for the camera and stuff, but he's completely zoned into the groove.
Muscle memory?, or practice time? Estepario said in several interviews he practises drums 8h/day
@NetVicious so yes, practice is the reason of muscle memory. He teach himself muscle memory by practice. This apply to anything you do in life including athletes
You know how muscle memory works right?@@NetVicious
YOU ARE WATCHING THE GREATEST DRUMMER ON THIS PLANET AT THE MOMENT !!!! AWESOME !!!
I'm not even a drummer and this guy gives me chills with how good he is!
Estepario is a beautiful example of unconflicted action, flow state, the kind of consciousness high level martial artists exhibit....when you're in that relaxed, coherent, state apparently super human feats just happen... yes, it requires endless practice, but also a mind state of flow.....
This dude is insanely good
You know you are witnessing greatness when someone performs something incredibly technical and difficult yet it appears effortless and smooth. I may be showing my age, but if you've seen Gene Kelly dancing, he makes it looks as smooth and easy as walking. Siberiano is just floating in the zone making it look easy when it most certainly is not.
Drummer for 30 years here. Your boy practices technique so much that he can maintain his relaxed composure through the hardest parts. As a drummer yourself you know the sweet sound of pure, sure confidence. Myself- my sure footed confidence ends at a level far, far below that of the great one, el Estepario.
This guy studies drumming 8h a day. That's the secret of his sucess. About 5 years ago he decided to really focus on studying and transformed from simply good to one of the best. Talent alone doesn't go long if you don't have the dedication.
Thank you. It’s actually annoying how many people call others simply talented when in fact there are mostly thousands and thousands of hours of hard work and failure behind such amazing skills.
I don't believe you need to know this dude's name, I think he's going to be one of the most famous drummers that ever walked the face of this Earth, I'm 53 years old and I've never seen anyone come close to this
Except Neal and Buddy
@@bconroy2 not even close he makes them look like students and Niel was always my favorite still is a hero, this guy is next level
@@jeffstratton8838same here I agree with you 100 percent. Neal was mine to but this dude jaw dropper
@@bconroy2they’re not even close.
Just so you guys are aware, his real name is Jorge Garrido.
It’s with all perfection: When you witness it, it blows you away not just by awe but also by how virtuosity makes it look so easy. This guy is godlike.
I enjoyed your reaction. I loved when you geeked out over the rim shot/cupping. I'm not a drummer but I just learned something technical from you because of it.
And I subbed because of it ..
I don't drum but I love rhythm and I adore technique and since I've discovered Estepario during covid, I can't get enough. Havingthe reaction of someone like you that swoons over his skills is double enjoyment for me. Just subbed to support! Keep up the great reactions 👍🏽👍🏽
The Siberian Steppario itself is a drum Kratos itself a drum solo, a genius, a god of drums. The guy plays everything and a Tesla donates drummers of the world . Another guy who plays everything and Jeff Porcaro, is an Einstein a drum Gambit, now imagine these two in a duet of drum solos playing the musical classics of all the musical genres of the world of course with an orchestra accompaniment, man, Bros runs the risk of the world exploding and the paletia heart attack, delirious going to the hospital seriously, I thought that after Jeff I was not going to see anyone Steppe showed me that my historical forecast was still too early and context fira. These 2 drummers had to do a repair together playing all the rhythms of the world with smelhires songs, the paleteia who loves music and the drummers who love drum solos repairs and orchestras and drum solos were honored and amazed at such an event 💙💙💙💙💙💎💎💎💎💎💎👏👏👏. When I saw 2 videos of the Steppario I already knew I was in front of a genius no one on this earth will tick his way no, no chance until the guy is another dimension, I already spoke to the steppe touch Mars and the Moon 🌝 🌙 A 🌎 🌍 is small for him really without exaggeration.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
The most FLUENT drummer I’ve ever encountered.
I’ve seen Peart, Moon, Birch and a hundred others, live.
Played drums briefly myself, had a good paradiddle.
EES is just the drummer that drummers daydream of being.
Linguistic.
I did catch it in the first glance and was also freaking out like you did, seeing his performance on „Numb“ for the first time! 😍
Playing the drums myself for over 30 years now I am beyond speechlessness 😧 This dude is so skilled and talented, great to watch a man playing the drums like he does…
Thanks for reacting to his ART 🙏
Best regards from Germany 🇩🇪, Philipp 👋
Blood sweat and tears right there. 110% over all, makes it become what you just witnessed. Genius drummer.
Got to say your reactions are truly heartfelt. And watching someone who understands about percussions is an added bonus. If you want to see his musical Latin roots flourish, check out his cover of The Bongo Song.
Ooooo bongo
Best drummer I’ve ever seen in fifty years of drumming. Rich, Krupa, Pocaro, Perkins, Freese, Rubin…not a touch on El Estapario. Best drummer in history by some distance. He’s astonishing.
The fact that Peart isn't on your list says alot about you
Uff.. you're saying this guy's better than Buddy Rich? Don't get me wrong, he's amazing.. but seriously
Uff.. you're saying this guy's better than Buddy Rich? Don't get me wrong, he's amazing.. but seriously
Easily my favourite reaction video ever. From the intro on his name to just watching you enjoy the drumming...just class.
OldSkule when you freaked and mentioned it I was all over it knowing what you were talking about. I've been playing since the 4th grade and 5o fucking 2 years old now. Never in my life have I seen someone play drums and do it with pinpoint accuracy. He is a master of the craft and you as well. Hey love what ya do, love your channel. Thanks for the reaction.
There are drummers and there is El Estepario. As a bassist i played with many drummers but he is out-worldish. Looks so effortless. But even he is so down to earth, having his idols. Definitely one of the guys i like to meet.
This guy put in the time. Paid his dues. It paid off
There is also another thing with this guy, the SOUND of the drums. It is so damn perfect!
In his video thanking subs for either 1 or 2 million -- I forgot which because there wasn't much time between them -- he described how his life circumstances changed. He went from practicing a couple hours a day to 8 hours a day. That level of dedication transformed what he can do. It's part of his belief that talent isn't the secret but rather hard work is. Check those videos if you'd like to see his exact explanation.
Never Touch a drum, tom, snair, etc ... But got Addicted on this "Nuestro Hermano" since i listened to him play the first time. Looks so damn easy to play drums 😂
Sure it is easy to play drums. You only have to look at el Estepario Siberiano for 10,000 hours, and then you are a master.
Great review. This is what happens when someone has dedicated their entire life to one art. He is truly a master at his craft. Imagine if we all found something we loved as much as he does drums. Beautiful thing to see when you think about it.
I played a trumpet for over fifteen years. Percussion always fascinated me, and I dabbled in it. Knew some people that were naturally talented. This man is so technical it’s scary. I know enough to know what I don’t know. He’s a whole other level.
This drummer is so inspiring, I could listen to him play all day.
Super nice guy, if you watch his videos (some in spanish) he encourages everyone to chase their dreams, he says he is not especial, he is just working harder than anyone else.
And yes, he admits that some of those shorts get several takes to get done, so I imagine a whole cover will be even harder
Thank god: finally a a good review from a real drummer 👏👏👏👏
Your reactions, as a fellow drummer and just cool human being in general, are priceless. Subscribed.
the syncopated 8s with left foot on the hihat during verse is quite impressive too
You drummers speak another language ( compliment I just have no idea what you fellas are talking about haha )
It's one thing when someone reacts to a musicians video and gets blown away, but your a drummer / percussionist reacting to a drummer and getting emotional over it. Thanks buddy.
I'm now a subscriber.
Check out his video , The Bongo Song by him. Original band used 2 drummers. He does both seamlessly.
Just subbed. Love your passion and energy. A reactor that makes me smile while learning is an accomplishment. Keep up the great work.
Cet homme est littéralement une machine. Un talent hors du commun !!
I'm not a drummer but I've always admired the Greats, and I had been wondering recently ( because I just discovered this guy couple of weeks ago) what Neal Peart would think about him. I'm glad you addressed that.
Danny Carey too, for that matter. I know Danny has to be aware of him at this point.
Im from Spain, I approve your pronunciation 👍
Doing that rimshot perfectly like he did as part of the beat so quickly is insane. I freaked out over that the first time seeing this too
If you are a drummer you get how precise you have to be and so quick no sounds other than the shot no finger touch, stick rattle, didn’t even make the snare rattle!!!
NOT ONLY THAT.......the rim cup was played with a great touch !!!
@@STIXAHOY smooth as silk like that was all he had to do not 13,476 other things as well lol
@@OldSkuleNerd He did that cupped rim shot 11 times in this song, and they were all flawless. (as was the rest of the performance.)
And most of his vids are single pedal 🫣
He does it perfectly the first time every time. Bow down.
El Estepario Siberiano is by far the best drummer of all time.
Gets my sub just because his attitude is cool AF. So sincere and wholesome in his big single takes as opposed to millions of takes and rehersed cuts. 13:00 "like you did last time, becasue you're dicks" 😂 my fav part - what a legend
I'm just glad to be alive as we witness history in the making. This guy will go down as the best drummer in the world and we get to see the beginning of it all!
I've seen so many coments from the other drummers but yours is the best🙏🙏, the guy is truly god
We’re all privileged to witness one of those moments in history when a musician brings something new to music unlocking further creation and creativity.
I’ve seen a lot from this guy, but this is probably his best. The rimshot is pure magic!
thanks for the reaction !!!! , i love how you explain the technical aspects and details , and your freaking out is SOOO REAL !!! XD ... please keep up the good work - u cant miss the estepario siberiano bongo song version - even if you dont react to it .. go and check it out , you will love it ... keep up the good work !!!!
He gets up at 6:30 a.m., does not have breakfast,...has a coffee,...does an hour of muscle-building exercises, etc. he starts playing for 4 hours... then he looks at his computer, answers emails, checks his social networks,... he does the tasks of the day, eats,... he records his videos,... he puts himself on the battery for another 4 hours ,.. at 9 pm he goes to bed. So every day.
And that's why he's so good, lives on them, went through a spell with the guitar where I couldn't take it off
New fan here brother. A. Don't play the drums. B. Really don't like reaction vids but I could listen to you break this down all day. It's your enthusiasm esp at the part discussing 30 sec in to his vid and how technical it is. It's infectious man! Can't wait to watch more.
Not only is he nailing that rim shot but he's doing it while maintaining all the ghost notes. Unbelievable.
His style and pattern is from another world
His drums are so well tuned and mixed.
Speechless with everything that guy does.
Neal Pert toured with a massive kit. He would look at Jorge's kit in awe. He practiced 8 hours a day for years. Found him at the start of this year. Hooked ever since. A very decent humble human being. I have recently started to watch reaction videos to Jorge. I'm not filming myself reacting,so it's hilarious to see the faces of other's. Giving the same WTF face, because I'm not a drummer. From pros and teachers, same reaction as I
Your comments make the original video so much more enjoyable. Thank you, love from England. ❤❤❤
I still can't pick my jaw up off the floor. Ever since i started watching Siberiano I've been dumbfounded by his drumming
Definitely one of the world's best. Great reaction!
Awesome drumming see these videos all the while on this channel very immersed in his weave very well adapted thru immense practice most of his clips are in just a few practices
Arguably the best drummer on the planet.
This dude is totally off the charts, watched all his videos. The rim hit is easier than you stated if you have your hand off the end of the stick so your hand touches the skin not the stick during the setup.
These drummers reacting to El Est-whatever his name is, are the best! I get such a kick from their reactions.
Im a diehard iN FLAMES fan. First track i ever heard was The Quiet Place which is a gem! Cloud Connected, Trigger, Take This Life, Pinball Map, My Sweet Shadow
Love your reaction ❤
Well Done Dude 😎 El Estepario is proud of you.
Neil and Bonham would definitely be impressed with the stick mastery. And I guarantee that they would both be in the studio working their asses off to fit it in to their music!
I can't believe this is my first time seeing your channel! Instant sub. You and Estepario helped me see music differently today. :)
He made the song even better to listen to. The beat and rhythm is on another level!
Buen trabajo! Un saludo desde Valencia.
Dude needs to make a SuperBowl Commercial or Appearance as an drummer by himself.
The rim click is amazing!
Amazing how good he is
El estepario has 27 years old! Its amazing…he lives in my city Valencia (Spain)
this is flawless perfection, no doubt
Always learning something from you!!👌
I'm a drummer by necessity (when we had two guitarists and no drummer, I slid over and picked it up). I'm happy to keep a straight rock groove with a simple fill once in a while. Still, when he slid down to turn the rim-shot into an accent note and pulled it back up into the beat, I still audibly went "bro....." It's crazy.
I'm not a drummer but air drum every day at the gym and have jammed on them a lot in my life... when I first saw that rim shot I reacted exactly like this guy
Best reaction. Christmas came early.
He definitely did that song right rest in peace chester your music will still live forever with you in our hearts and our ears 🙏😔
Dude!!! I was over here saying YESS when you said name!!!! Congrats. I know I’m late, but I just saw your first reaction to him yesterday
Non drummer here but love the drums.
Thanks for taking 3 minutes to explain what we were looking for! Lol
You can hear the subtleties of the sounds but his hands are so fast that I couldn’t catch it visually until the second or third time you replayed the video! 🙌🏼
Incrivelmente bom
I've never drummed, but I feel like this guy makes it look so incredibly easy to play this well that it's just completely unfair to everyone that is a drummer 😂
YES! I agree. That Rim Shot the very first time he did it... You and I had the same reaction. I stopped the video too. Amazing! Good review
EES not only is a master on the macro level, but a genius on the micro level.
He is a legend 🤘
I love your passion
I think it is the stick hit rim shot. I also like how he does in other songs double strikes with one stick to do two different hits; cymbal / stick hit or drum /stick hit or even a cymbal / drum hit, so fast, so clean.
I am a big fan of this unique drummer...l have learned volumes of feel from his short spurts of genius..not to mention his fills.
Incredible
Best reaction of one of his videos i've seen so far.
The dude is a feckin machine, pure effortless perfection
I literally have rewound this, at least 15 times laughing my ass off on your reaction to the resonance cup 😂😂😂
He plays the battery like it's so easy. Anyone watching can do it, it feels like work... A person who has never had a baguette in their hands would not know how hard it is. this man of amateurs idol.profesy.respect
It's just what we used to call "FM". "Fuc_ing Magic". I'm 65 now, and it's still FM
Legend ❤❤❤
Very cool reaction video. El Estepario is amazing indeed!
If you’re very interested in his life’s routine, he has a video on that. Yes, it basically drums drums drums!
