Out of all the reactors I watch you're my absolute favourite... You get it and you tell it how it is 😅.. Also appreciate what a phenomenon EES is.. Keep up the great reactions and love it when you stop all the way through to explain and share your thoughts...
I LOVE your reaction. Very very professional! This guy is absolutely MESMERISING. I can't spell no more. His level of perfection and musicality it's just INSANE.
He is also humble… i dont know in the english videos but in spanish videos he is always highlighting that you see one take after lots of practice… he is always remember that all these videos are not a 5 min take without effort
Wow. When u explain your appreciation and admiration to El, I thought , that's a beautiful thing. Cuz so often people who can't do what others can hate on them so bad and talk so much trash. It's so refreshing to see someone be so passionate and sincere being real and putting some positive energy out there. I'm the same way. I can give people credit for what they do. Doesn't deplete from what you are. Humanity at its best. Thank you for that
Please do not apologize for your 'rants'. Appreciating and describing to us non musical technical people what's actually going on and what it takes to do what he's doing is exactly what I watch you for!! Your amazement and explanations are, as always, great and welcomed! Thanks for what you are doing!!
Dude, it’s more enjoyable when you pause and freak out about something EES is doing. Most of us miss half of what he’s doing, so keep breaking it down cause you actually get it and can speak from experience. And no need to apologize for going off on arm chair warriors who nitpick, you’re a human trying to follow what a freak of nature is doing! Keep Rocking OSN🤘🏻🤘🏻
I am not just amazed at his skill level, but has anyone else not particularly cared for a song he's covering, or maybe not your "style" of music, BUT after watching his interpretation of it, you suddenly love the song? BUT here's the WTF element... You DON'T suddenly love the song, but rather you suddenly love the song with HIS drumming on it? Or am i just trippin?
don't stop pausing the videos. I specifically watch you content for you to explain to me why, the content is special. The pauses and explainations is keý here!
I've personally never have questioned or disaproved your opinion, you are usually a perceptive and pro guy when it comes to percussion, so chill out, you are doing a great job, love your reactions to el estepario 😀
never before has a drummer been able to impress me as much as he can. not only does he do incredibly cool stuff with his kit, he also has charm, wit and the necessary personality to stay in people's minds.
The pauses to explain and express the emotion from someone that can begin to appreciate what he's doing are the best bits! We have the original if we want to watch uninterrupted.
I love the level of respect and insight you have on drumming i enjoy watching you breakdown what you see. I also love how when there is the pause in the middle he kept his work to a minimum and kept with the originality of the song and instrumental element. Love your reactions cheers from Australia mate
Hermano -- stop apologizing!! 😂 You have the same reaction we all do. Mind blown, jaw agape! But you fill in the gaps with knowledge and appreciation to detail. Never apologize for being true. Saludos!
No need to say sorry for sharing your thoughts with such passion and sincerity. I absolutely think the same and I agree 100% with all what you said. Cheers from Catalonia. 👊🏽🤘🏽
Love watching your reactions to EES!! How you catch things he does and the passion you have for the craft makes watching you very enjoyable. I appreciate your love for drums, and especially for EES with the way he invents new ways to do things. Keep up the great work, Brother.
Great reaction. You explained the Drummers world better then anyone. I have been in the pardidle tripolet peasoup world for many decades. "dang, did just say that." Your analysis is pretty spot on and heck yeah he's very impressive. Recently he did show some one of the practice routines that he does for limb independence. I was blessed with a good teacher in my youth that taught me similar. "thought I was getting punished" 😊I love the outside the box druming/ musicianship he brings to the world. Keep up the great reactions. ✌️🤟🥁🥁🇺🇸🖖
Don't ever feel bad for pausing. I watch HIS videos when I just want to hear the song. Then I watch YOUR videos because I want to hear what you think about it.
Hello Nerd friend, Happy New Year to you and your entire family. Also congratulate your entire community. I apologize for not having followed you this time but due to glaucoma I was on the verge of losing my sight. Thank God everything is improving, having said that, thank you for your great work, just as I congratulate Jorge (The Siberian Steppe). In your videos, you are incredible and you show that with work, study and effort everything is possible and the best thing is that you make us enjoy it. He as the best drummer and being from the great schools of great drummers in your country. Many thanks for everything. As always, a hug from North Africa, Spain, Ceuta. Sorry for being familiar with you.
Man, I like the way you do the reactions, it's funny, it's professional, it's original. Great work, and great that you are following one of the best drummers I have seen. I have supported this guy since the beginning.
Don't bother yourself with the people hating on you pausing, your passion for what he is doing is what makes it so special. Keep doing what you are doing and continue losing your mind, because it is what all of us feel in anyway.
Oldskulenerd thank you so much for technicals explanation which is the most important to understand what El estepario is able to...and why is a great drummer...lot of us are not drummers and for that we do not get what is all about
Your reacts without your comments doesn´t be the same. In fact, I learn much more when you make a reacts this way, with the explications and your point of view about EES´s cover. Thanks for your knowledge and for share with us. Respect!
Huge Thanks for your content! And that question you made... "what did you see"... my first reaction was also that percussionlike pedal but also did you notice his right hand "hihat" beat... wow... 2 different plates and that minisizeone was like a unnoticeable metronome
NEVER apologize for your observational opinion. As a classically trained musician who listens to EVERYTHING from basic drumming, chanting to symphonic metal I find your insights far beyond what other musicians offer because of your knowledge AND passion. As far as the nay sayers you owe them nothing. There are far more who REALLY appreciated your opinion even though some of us are NOT drummers. As far as the criticism regarding you/us missing something the first go round, I sincerely believe that there's ONLY one musician on record who's been able to listen JUST once to any form of classical music and reproduce the score note for note. That was Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. So IF there's ONE person out there who's able to catch EVERY nuance of el Espario Siberianos ' drumming, then please come forward for you will be the ONLY one qualified to criticize our limited observations. An mind open to learning more than what it knows, will greatly appreciate that opportunity to do so. Thanks and respect.
Man I absolutely love your videos. Keep it up. You catch and feel the things he does and explain them better than anyone. At 14:40 when you say you want to share, he plays some rim clicks like I do on my kid's starter kit because it doesn't have a high hat and the ride sounds like poo garbage, so I just use the available metal bits around for the cymbal counts. And no not busting your balls, just think you'd appreciate seeing it if you didn't. You probably did. I also used distrokid because you make me listen to his ads every time. But yeah I put out 20 year old songs now, and might make some money from them so thanks. Cost me about 30 bucks. Not bad.
And you thought you didn’t like imagine dragons…. Pthth! Then you saw what this dude does with it. 😁 the syncopation in this song is insane when you add the vocals. Crazy lines. (I’m originally a tapper, i dance to my own drums)
Totally agree, my dude. We can all have respect for the greats while at the same time understanding and admitting that if they were still around today, they'd be curious, amazed, or at least partially inspired by what this guy is doing. Neil, Buddy, John, Kieth, they would be stoked and be into it.
First off I’m not a drummer and do not know jack about drumming other than knowing I’m not capable of doing it Your reactions are my favorite. Instead of just setting there saying wow over and over. Keeping his thumbnail super small You actually explain some of the techniques he uses and point out the impossible stuff he is doing that someone like me just wouldn’t catch or comprehend So thank you for you videos and much respect for always allowing him to get his thoughts out there and sponsors 🤘🤘🤘😎😎😎
At first I thought what you thought about the side pedal-- some kind of shaker on a metal plate, like a djembe kessing. (Had to look up the word for that. 😏) I zoomed in Estepario's video. It's actually just two pieces of corrugated sheet metal and a flat back plate. Now we know! 😄👍
You're so right, and thanks for saying us those things, keep talking. It's always a pleasure to watch a reaction where you have real informations on what happens, cause even if I'm a musician, I'm no drummer and all I can do is hear and watch, but not understand everything. AND you make me laugh... what more to ask? Morality, keep the good work man.
Thank you for helping us understand what El Stepario does. I have no idea of music, I only enjoy listening to it. I don't mind you interupting to share your opinion. 😊
Rant or not, I learned a lot from your comments and the thing that impresses me the most about him and so glad you mentioned it is his independence. I can barely do a regular swimming stroke soon as I start to kick my arms stopp soon as I start to stroke and my kicking stops, lol.
Appreciate the fact you hear his video through to the end! Although very amateur myself, having started learning to play it's really helped me appreciate what he does more, it's insane, I'd love to get to a tenth of his ability (in my dreams lol)
Okay, I've been watching El Estepario for long time now and I think it's safe to say at this point. Yes, there are drummer icons, Peart, Portnoy, Bonham, Palmer, Buddy Rich, Moon, BUT...El Estepario is the Eddie Van Halen of drums. Eddie was not only amazing as we all know, he was so innovative that he changed guitar playing forever. I believe that El Estepario is doing and introducing drumming techniques that are so innovative and amazing that he will be seen in that vein of the great drummers of our time.
You are not wrong I feel it’s interpretation for what all the listed percussionist did for their time …. Its is always developing in technology, technique, innovation but at the end of the day do they have “IT” the thing that makes them the best at what they create they all have it people who say he is the GOAT must learn to realize different styles are compared differently so is he on the Mount Rushmore for his time and place they are carving his Face ID say
Something I noticed, when he did the second like, double-stick hi hat thing, the second stick landed in an awkward grip. And yet, AND YET, he made it work, and had the ability to laugh about it.
Another thing i find incredible is the fact that, while going all out with an incredibly fast and complex fill, he suddenly finds a drum stick right in the middle of his performance, and it only makes him smile! For most humans, that could be compared to a jump scare, thus giving you brain damage and ruining the take. But he just played through it without missing a beat.
I Watch a ton If Drmmio and EL E. What u notice different from others he keeps his body pretty still controls his upper body never throwing his arms wildly yes stick tricks I watch his elbows he as Great as his isn’t flamboyant even being flamboyant lol
No-one talks how he has to move the weight in 14:48 while staying in the beat. An extra unplanned move because the weight started to move. I think he was a bit frustrated about it because in the end he moves the weight again, like nonverbally complaining how it almost messed the take.
Out of all the reactors I watch you're my absolute favourite... You get it and you tell it how it is 😅..

He is also humble… i dont know in the english videos but in spanish videos he is always highlighting that you see one take after lots of practice… he is always remember that all these videos are not a 5 min take without effort
His spatial awareness of his kit is beyond description. Thank you OSN for your honest review. Love your channel.
Wow. When u explain your appreciation and admiration to El, I thought , that's a beautiful thing. Cuz so often people who can't do what others can hate on them so bad and talk so much trash. totally, im not a metal fan, and all of a sudden i am. magic..
Not at all - you are spot on 💯
Agreed
Yes. Pretty much every time. That's my most common comment to his videos/reactions
Yup. His Godzilla video has me right there with you.
don't stop pausing the videos.
Great commentary! Its why I come here instead of other places. You have insight that helps me appreciate his videos even more than I already do!
Thank you but you can share to love lol
Can't wait! You have the best reaction vids (to the best drummer) out there -- thanks for your sincerity and knowledge, keep 'em coming! 🤙
I try
@@OldSkuleNerd You succeed! 😉💜
never before has a drummer been able to impress me as much as he can. not only does he do incredibly cool stuff with his kit, he also has charm, wit and the necessary personality to stay in people's minds.
Agreed. He’s one of those guys you think would be fun to grab a beer with. Even if you know nothing about music.
The pauses to explain and express the emotion from someone that can begin to appreciate what he's doing are the best bits! We have the original if we want to watch uninterrupted.

I do not get tired of seeing him!
What I expect in a reaction video from a drummer is precisely that that you say! Thanks for it.
Hermano -- stop apologizing!! 😂 You have the same reaction we all do. Mind blown, jaw agape! But you fill in the gaps with knowledge and appreciation to detail. Never apologize for being true. Saludos!
You really make my day with these reactions! Your enthusiasm is amazing. Not to forget that you really know what your talking about!
No need to say sorry for sharing your thoughts with such passion and sincerity. I absolutely think the same and I agree 100% with all what you said. Cheers from Catalonia. 👊🏽🤘🏽
I am with you!
Great commentary, OSN! I appreciate the explanations of what in the "blue hell" is going on with his chops. 😁
OSN.... REALLY ENJOY YOUR STYLE OF REACTION. AND I AGREE WITH EVERYTHING YOU SAY ABOUT SENOR EL ESTIPARIO.. LOVE YOUR RANT.. THANK YOU..!!!!!
Love watching your reactions to EES!! How you catch things he does and the passion you have for the craft makes watching you very enjoyable. I appreciate your love for drums, and especially for EES with the way he invents new ways to do things. Keep up the great work, Brother.

Don't ever feel bad for pausing. I watch HIS videos when I just want to hear the song. Then I watch YOUR videos because I want to hear what you think about it.
I love your breakdowns, keep going, as it teaches me a lot about what drummers actually do and the complexity involved
Hello Nerd friend, Happy New Year to you and your entire family. Also congratulate your entire community. He is definitely already one of the GOAT at this age, he is that good.
Huge Thanks for your content! And that question you made... "what did you see"... my first reaction was also that percussionlike pedal but also did you notice his right hand "hihat" beat... wow... 2 different plates and that minisizeone was like a unnoticeable metronome
I love all stuff tecnic you say, the respect
and sincerity of your react, I'm from Spain and is hard undestand english for me but i love it
Great reaction and explanations, no apologies for doing that or missing something. We all do when it's EES!
I'm always looking for your reactions. Thank you! And also thanks to that beast of a drum machine 🙂
NEVER apologize for your observational opinion.

Great reaction video. I too was trying to figure out what the heck that was he was playing with his left foot!!!
Man, I love the way you react. Keep up with being always the funny great oldskulenerd, regardless what others (some haters maybe, 😆😆😆) say about you.
First off I’m not a drummer and do not know jack about drumming other than knowing I’m not capable of doing it

great reaction OSN of an amazing drummer.
on my best day I couldn't carry water for him...
Your reactions make being stuck on this Mudball much more enjoyable. 🎉
Thank you for the explanation of the left foot! I thought it was a digital drum pad. 🤘🤘🤘
I like when you pause the video to express yourself and explain what´s going on.
An he has new shorts. Him vs robot's. Love it. An love your reactions. They are the best an your love of music.
Hit the nail on the head. Makes me want to quit drums trying to do some of these crazy rhythms.
As a new drummer I love this one...Ive been trying to figure out what hes hitting with that pedal since the video dropped. I am laughing typing this.
Hey OSN. Go check out his short for Believer. You see the bar thing with the beeds on it. You might know it
Thank you for helping us understand what El Stepario does. I have no idea of music, I only enjoy listening to it. I don't mind you interupting to share your opinion. 😊
I love your reactions man! The Commentary is apprerciated!!
Como se dice por aquí, es un maquina!!!!!!!!!!! Gracias por tus reacciones , Saludos desde Malaga, España
I love the educational content i feel like i learn something new every time.
Rant or not, I learned a lot from your comments and the thing that impresses me the most about him and so glad you mentioned it is his independence. I can barely do a regular swimming stroke soon as I start to kick my arms stopp soon as I start to stroke and my kicking stops, lol.
He's got separate Brain for every limb🔥
El Estepario Siberiano Is right up there with John Bonham, Neil Peart, And Mike Portnoy. Keep up with your vids! Rock On!!!
Thanks I really enjoy your down to earth honestly!
This is such a powerful song with him playing!
Love your reactions and breakdown of the drumming love your vids 😊😊😊😊
Damn right, dude... he is crazy!
Appreciate the fact you hear his video through to the end! Although very amateur myself, having started learning to play it's really helped me appreciate what he does more, it's insane, I'd love to get to a tenth of his ability (in my dreams lol)

You have the best reactions… thanks!
Amazingly fabtastic.

He always proves he can play the actual grove before he takes off which I appreciate.
Something I noticed, when he did the second like, double-stick hi hat thing, the second stick landed in an awkward grip. And yet, AND YET, he made it work, and had the ability to laugh about it.
You're a freaking good reactor man. A nuclear reactor
Agreed on all points. Good review.
He actually makes this song better and it’s already a bad ass song!
Love it, love it, thank you!
What exactly does putting a weight on a snare do? Id guess reduces reverb and makes the sound sharper?
reduces resonance
Don't forget the endurance it takes as well..
God i love your rants! When you're right, you're right! A question for all: is he doing the "overunder" twice as fast as in his other videos?
He's a f-kin beast !
The "cylinder twist shake" is called a "Cabasa."
Portugal ❤❤❤
That pedal with the shaker is cool. On another song he uses a cowbell, in place of the shaker. Insanity.
I would call the Smaller snare for a counter snare since it counters the main snare :D
I Watch a ton If Drmmio and EL E. What u notice different from others he keeps his body pretty still controls his upper body never throwing his arms wildly yes stick tricks I watch his elbows he as Great as his isn’t flamboyant even being flamboyant lol
Now I suddenly like Imagine Dragons hahaha
I've always referred to a snare set up like that as a "sizzle" snare cuz it sounds like like water hitting a super hot pan to me.
No-one talks how he has to move the weight in 14:48 while staying in the beat. An extra unplanned move because the weight started to move. I think he was a bit frustrated about it because in the end he moves the weight again, like nonverbally complaining how it almost messed the take.
Its facts hes an Alien drum God
He is like the Robin Williams of drummers.
Let him fo what he wants and enjoy.
1 of best reactor to EES
Great reaction!
Don't pay attention to people whining about you stopping... it's your channel.... Those whiners should just go watch the original!
This is tame for him, but musically this is outstanding.
4 sticks and snares: É a diferença entre um PUM e o PÁ!
Don’t apologize, love your input.
He’s easily the GrooveFather
Great commentary and I would like to see Dany's Carey reaction too and vice versa! :-)
