    Wow! Excellent idea! I like the way you explained everything too. I'm now wondering if I have time to do the same thing before the big trip. Thanks for the shoutout and I look forward to meeting you in two weeks!

    Have you considered running the vent line back from the rear tank to the previously connnected water separator?

    12:04 Looking at that hose running through the cut hole. Come on people, when a wire or hose runs through a hull or other immovable wall device you are supposed to use a rubber grommet to protect the hose or wire from wearing against the wall that has been cut/drilled. Rubber grommets are so cheap, there is never a reason to not use one, they’re only nickels and dimes!

    I have watched your video many times and I am ordering all the parts. Can you make a video of how you have it set up when you are not using the Auxilary Tank? Thanks. I have a Kawasaki 310LX. I will only use the tank when doing group rides.

      Find me on Facebook and I’ll message you directly with some pictures. Just search Michael Feil and my cover photo is me on my WaveRunner.

    Question about the factory breather prior to modification. What did you do with the loose factory vent after you disconnected it from the tank? Plug it? Just let it dangle? Thanks.

      I believe it is just dangling. I don’t remember removing it

    Are you still using this setup? How is it holding up? Thanks for the info...

      Yes. It’s survived going to Bimini and back and then I just did over 400 miles on the Tennessee river with it.

    So how does the air come out of the gas tank , if you are taking out the breathing tube .?

    • @mefca
      @mefca  2 роки тому +1

      It comes out of the valve from the aux tank since everything is connected.

    can you get into jetski from water after this modification?

    • @mefca
      @mefca  Рік тому

      I can but I’m 5’8” and 135 pounds. So maybe someone that is heavier and doesn’t have a lot of upper body may have some issues.

    Have you ever had any issues with the vacuum/siphon when in rough water? My only concern with this idea is being in middle of ocean and the six tank stops filling the primary tank and then you have no other means of transferring the extra fuel. Thanks!

      Nope. Never had a problem with it. In fact when I did the crossing there was 3 of us that had this set up and all 3 worked flawlessly.

    When it is raining or being that it is in the back and open, does it not suck moisture/water?

    • @mefca
      @mefca  Рік тому

      No. That has not been an issues at all.

      There is a company that makes a tank for the front trunk. I believe it’s about $400 for the set up. I’m not sure what the name of it is though.
