Great list! If going offshore I would add a personal EPIRB, flares, and a VHF radio. I also carry a knife to clear obstructions, and an electric fuel transfer pump to enable transfer of fuel from ski to ski if they or I need to exchange fuel directly from our onboard fuel tank - also helpful to transfer fuel from spare fuel canisters while offshore. It’s near impossible to refuel Yamahas on the water due to the location of the fuel filler. I also carry goggles with clear lenses, and suction mounted battery operated running lights in the event that I’m detained from getting back to dock and need to travel at night. Finally - I don’t leave the dock without a good pair of gloves - provides improved grip and the padding prevents blisters.
VHF radio is a must have also - saw a recent situation where the users phone dies and their ski went out - luckily they had signal flag to wave and were inshore but a cheap radio is a must have. Great and detailed list you shared - thanks
I haven’t tried the waves rx but I get my anchor setup in about 10 secs so it’s not too bad. It is bigger but I love knowing it’s not going anywhere and I can tie multiple PWCs if needed. I’ll def keep an eye out for the waves rx. Appreciate the love!!
@@ObiSkiTV No, I have not. I was wondering as I don't really want to put the big thing on the back of the ski for a gas can. But, also wondered about the added weight in the front.
Not sure how the weight will affect it if any. I know riders who have emergency reserve tanks in the front compartment. I think it may be more important to make sure it’s tight and secure so it doesn’t move around. Just my 2 cents.
Is the 1000a version of the jump battery good for a vx ho 1.8? I have a float attachment for my phone. They sell these little things for cases that don’t have a loop spot that go between the phone and case and a little hoop hangs out the bottom and you can still charge. Then attach any floaty.

Good stuff👍 Thanks for sharing the links 💪😎👍
Of course!! Thanks for your support.
Waves rx definitely has the best spike anchor. The sand shark is bulky and takes too much time to set up

❤❤❤ nice set up
Thank you! Appreciate it!
great video!
have you ever put a SureCan of gas in the front storage compartment of your Yamaha?
No I have not. It would fit no problem, I would just need a way to strap it down so it wouldn’t move around. You?

Yea. It’s actually made for a car battery so it’s no prob on a PWC! What does the float look like?
I’m curious what In your opinion what are good options for pwc’s for a beginner that wants to ride year round and how you ride.
I would tell you the Yamaha VX is a great pwc for a beginner! It’s very easy to ride and reliable!
@@ObiSkiTV thank you! I’ll definitely do some research on that model, I’m moving to the Tampa area soon and am excited to get into jet skiing
I heard you say you go diving at a springs , which springs ? I live in debary area I have blue springs near me
I’ve gone to Seven Sisters Springs and Devils Den. I’ve also hit up other springs as well to go swimming, but those two where I would consider diving.
Make sure you have one more trailer tire. I mean one more than you'll even think you need 😮
I def do. I may be making an updated video since there have been some upgrades since this one was done….
You didn't mention sunglasses. What do you use?
