Ragnarok vs Aftermath..which do you prefer?
They both sound really good. The Ragnarok definitely sounds like it takes you more into EMG or Duncan Distortion territory with a lot more balls, but at the same time there's something about the Warpig's more dark and bass heavy tonal character that make it sound much more natural in comparison. I feel like they both sound great together double tracked with two separate amps that compliment each pickup and emphasizes the strengths of said sets.
Incredible comparison. You saved me 200 dollars in pickups cause I wanted to do this myself. Thank you so much.
Skipped ahead so I didn't know which pickup was which and preferred them Rags. Great demo dude! Cheers.
Hello man, Does Amp modelers sounds better powered by a tube-amp than a poweramp pedal like Seymour Duncan powerstage if played live with cab or it give the same results and quality?
Hey dude. I definitely have gotten better results with a tube power amp and a modeler than any other setup
Absolutely right! Axefx + Fryette is killa!
Great playing and great video man! Enjoyed the comparison
Sweet comparison!
Man…. The warpig is brutal af. It’s like an angry caveman clubbing you over the head. Love it. Did you dig it? Curious how it would be in a live mix with a band
Warpig Ceramic?
Yes!
Black pickups were better not as hairy and scooped im guessing they were the pigs thicker and darker in a good way the others sounded too close to the juggernauts and had what I didn't like about them
thanks a ton you thrash
Constant Motion sounded dope
Hey man, have you compared the Ragnaroks with the juggernauts? I'm in the process of building an Aristides and think I have narrowed my pickup choices down to those two
Nope, but I really disliked the juggernauts, and I have heard that's not an unusual opinion haha
@@PariahVSGear that sucks to hear. I really enjoyed your jugg vs fishman demo and preferred the juggernauts to the fishmans.
Yeah, they worked out for me better than the moderns in that guitar, but ultimately they sounded a bit thin to me. The Rags have been a much better fit
thank you, debating on a an E-II with warpigs in them.
War pigs are definitely my jam haha
@@PariahVSGear It came close but I pulled the trigger on the Keith Merrow MKIII Artist guitar. Feel like that's a better studio guitar, especially for metal.
