Mum e came last week. Brilliant piece of kit. Solid, sturdy and a wicked clean sound. Basically a nexus set of joined together but with only two channels.
@@isaelflores5057 ended up getting a ddj1000 in end as the full size platter did it for me in the end 🕺

Great tip on Hot Cues. Deleting them was driving me nuts, lol, didn't realize it was that easy :D
Im amused and happy that you are using Lenny's label as your subject matter. No one uses house in tuition videos, almost always music I cant stand. Thanks for this, my mate just lent me his RX2 so I can learn to be comfortable with real CDJ's and we get to play with the beats too !

Superb stuff mate. Brilliantly explained. Shame you can’t have a 16 beat loop as I’d find that useful mixing out a tune with a short ending. I guess you could use the main loop function at the top but is there a way of recording that? Alternatively you can extend the 8 beat loop using the OUT button but that’s a bit hit and miss when playing live.

How come when you set the hot cues, even though you're in quantize mode, when you play them back, they don't play on the beat? Is the quantization adjusted to a very small value like 1/2 a beat? And if so, can this be changed to a larger value? Or does quantize not apply to the setting of cue points?

Thanks for the tips but there is one thing I still didn't find a solution for it. Hot cues pads I want to control it by my self how can I turn off auto cue pad play ▶️ I want when I press the pad it plays and when I remove my finger it stops . Can u help plz
Ellaskins, since I purchased the XDJ-RX2 I have found your video tuts very helpful and informative.
I would love to see a video on your techniques when mixing consecutive radio edit-length (3 min -4 min) breakbeat tracks. Im really getting into those bouncy, uplifting Russian Breaks tracks these days. The issues I'm having is that these particular tracks are 3 or 4 minutes (if lucky 4 mins), and they sport very short phrase lengths of only 4 to 8 bars. Not much time to transition, to say the least.
I'd like to communicate more directly maybe order a skype session sometime. peace from New Jersey

Why doesn’t my pioneer xdjrx2 doesn’t do the beat loop function like that? Mine you have to hold down for the loop to kick in and only the top 4 pads have loops the bottom 4 are effects! Can someone please help me with this!! My old pioneer xdjrx didn’t do this

I use it instead of spinning the jog wheel. Then I know that I went exactly however many bars ahead from the point I was it (i.e. 16, 32, etc)

Is there a way to engage a 16 beat loop, for example, when selecting a hot cue?
Yes you simply press play and the loop button at the same time and select which part of the track you want to loop, once you have your loop you simply press a hotcue pad while the loop is playing and it's saved ready for when you want it.
I have my hotcue buttons set to green and my hot loops to yellow so I can tell which is which at a glance.
Oke, so I recorded a lot of hot cues and now I brought them into rekordbox with sync manager. If I’m ever going to play on the big CDJS, are my hot cues also appearing there?
Yes
how do you use the BeatLoop pads for anything above a 2 bar loop? like the 4 bar and 8 bar?
Press the arrows next to the memory cue button to halve or double the loop (goes well past 2 bars)

You can use different samples that way but not 8 individual songs.

By adding hot cues to a track will they save to that track or will go they have to be loaded and cued again??
Zach Smith , if the the cue point was set using a track that's been loaded using Rekordbox DJ software, then the answer is yes.

Why when i press a hot cue , the song starts automatically even if i don't press play ?
That's how hot cue works, if you want a normal cue point use the memory cue and make sure to toggle autocue so the track doesn't start playing when you load it to a deck. Hot cue is for jumping around and FX type usage, memory cues are your standard cue points.

You can do longer loops by using the loop in & buttons above the jog wheel.
Press in then out at any length eg 8 bars. then shorten or extend it using loop/call
< 1/2 buttons x 2 >.

Yeah that's what was happening in the video, press the pad and the hot cue is set.

Actually RGB produces all the colours, it's different gradients of each that determine what colour is displayed.
